THE BEST TAILOR EVER!!! FAST AND QUALITY WORK! So I was a little skeptical because they had some bad reviews, but I was desperate and decided to give them a shot. IM SO GLAD I DID! Omg the lady was so sweet and so helpful! You can tell she's been doing this for awhile. Anyways, Ive literally gone to three other places (I don't want to say any names) and they all said that they were unable to take in my dress because "the design was too hard" and they refused to work on it. I felt like something was calling me to this place. So when I was explaining to the lady what I wanted she told me to try on the dress and we would figure it out together. Initially, she told me take back the dress and get a different one because the price of the alterations was not worth it and she felt like I could get a new dress for the amount I was going to have to pay for the dress to be altered. I told her I was willing to pay anything bc I really LOVE my dress! She eventually gave in, I was SOOOOO HAPPY THAT SHE WAS EVEN ABLE TO FIX IT!! After so many disappointments, she was like an angel that was sent from heaven to fix my problem! I thought I was gonna end up paying a hundred or so, but I paid less than half of that! AND SHE LITERALLY HAD IT DONE THE NEXT DAY! That's just unheard of! I was mind blown when SHE SAID THAT SHE COULD EVEN GET THE DRESS DONE THAT DAY bc I needed it by the weekend (I came in on a Thursday). Service was excellent and you can tell she really wants what's best for you. She doesn't overcharge bc it's QUALITY work. There should never be a price for that. You really get what you paid for here. Btw, I'm a very observant person and I was listening to her talk to other customers that came in and she kept asking if they wanted same day service. THATS AMAZING! I will definitely be coming back! There's a 50% deposit, so I was going to pay on my card, but it's an extra two bucks, she told me that I could just pay the whole when I pick up if I don't have cash. I thought that was a sweet gesture because it looked like it hurt her to charge extra for card. OVERALL this was the best experience I could ask for. I'm so thankful for this little lady. This place is overpriced and she is a price Goucher she would even charge you $2 to use a debit card just places overrated and not worth it!

I've been here a few times & I'm always satisfied. Went last week & dropped off a dress that was hanging off of me. Two days & $25 later, I picked it up. It was altered perfectly to my figure & they ironed it so I didn't have to do anything else. Very professional & fast. read more

This place is horrible! I brought a dress than needed to be altered because it was too big in the bust but perfect and comfortable in the waist. They pinned it while I tried it on but never was measured. I obviously was stupid not to research on alterations or I would've known then they didn't do good work. I had someone pick it up and ofcourse it didn't fit. It was tighter at the waist and still too big in the bust and on top of that fabric was bunching where it shouldn't : (. So I go back for my money and these two girls said It was my fault I didn't come back to get it fixed and they don't return money it's not their policy. FYI there is no policy sign anywhere in the store nor on the receipt. They proceeded to laugh at me and call me racial slurs and said they still wouldn't do anything til I tried it on. I was sick this day so I took off my shirt and tried in the dress and guess what it was tight like I said. The young girl then came at me like she wanted to do something so I told her she better back off and I told the other two to get her away from me bc she kept running her mouth with wetback this and nappy head that. I told her if she comes near me I'd kick her ass. She said oh you'll hit me but I clarified no i will kick your ass if you come near me so back off. She the. Said if you want to fight we can fight! Is that a professional that should be running or working with anyone? So as I go to leave she's right outside the store in the way of the exit and she bumps into me as I'm exiting! I made sure to call the cops and get a report of the situation if she ever comes near me like that again. read more

I've been getting my alterations done here for years. Everyone here is super nice. Their work has always been quick and amazing. They do great work and definitely make sure to treat you like family. I recommend them to everyone I know. They've been in the business for over 20 years, and I hope to see this shop around for many many more! read more

Its obvious why this business has been around for over 20 years. Great craftsmanship combined with great customer service! They always come through for me and it's obvious they stand behind their work. They always have me try on my clothes when I pick them up before I leave so they can make sure it's done right THE FIRST TIME which obviously means I don't have to come back again and spend more money. I had dropped off an item at May Tailoring & Alterations and paid when I picked my item up. After trying on my item and while in the process of leaving the store, the owner accused me of not paying. The lady took my money, gave me my item and turned around and said I didn't pay. That was a hurting feeling. I went here last year to get my dress altered for prom, I gave them specific instructions as to how I wanted it to look and fit and she said she understood completely. I told her I needed my dress hemmed a bit because it was way too long and I need it taken in around my bust area. I came back a few days later to pick it up and the hem was fine she took it in perfectly but the top area was terrible it seemed like it was looser than before, I asked her to take it in more because it was a strapless dress and I didn't want it falling down the whole night and she said no. I said it's fine I want it tight and she said no she won't do it "she knows best" so I wasn't going to argue I took it home wore it for prom and it was exactly as I imagined, loose on top so I had to spend the entire night pulling up my dress. I decided to give them a 2nd chance this year because the lady was ultimately nice but I asked for a slit put into my dress and she looked at it and said "no." And told me to get dressed again ?? I will not be coming back to this place because they NEVER listen to what YOU want!! They think they know best, what ever happened to the customer is always right? read more
