I live in Cerritos now but still come here to get my clothes dry cleaned. Reliable service and great pricing. Will continue to get my dry cleaning here! read more

I had a hard time finding a place that dry cleans barongs (filipino traditional clothing). But this place did it and did the job extremely well. read more

Went to get my pants hemmed. Lady at the counter was extremely rude and barely spoke to us. We asked when we would pick up our items and she barely gave an answer. When we saw it was 2 weeks out and I needed it sooner, I apologized and said we may need them sooner but there's nothing she could do. We understood, she continued to ball up the receipt and throw it at us we told her that was rude and unnecessary and she ran behind us and slammed the door! We had so many items dry cleaned here and the gentleman is always so nice! She must've been having a bad day but we will not be returning. read more

This place is now my go-to for basic alterations. I've taken several pieces of clothing here for repair and/or alterations, and every single piece has come back perfect. From personal clothing, to my work uniforms, I can usually drop off an item and it's ready within 48 hours. Louie's is really affordable compared to other shops in Carson and the South Bay. I haven't needed to alter anything complex and layered, like a bridesmaid dress, but for my basic needs, Louie's Cleaners & Alterations has been perfect each and every time. I haven't used them for dry cleaning, so I can't speak to that service, but I definitely recommend them for alterations. read more

Great place and a great price. I don't feel like they're trying to take your money and they provide you the price of how much it should cost! The staff is nice and welcoming too read more

I have been going to this cleaners for several years now mostly for the dry clean. After a quick hi and hello to Louie, give you phone number and your bag of clothes and he will be ready to check and sort the clothes. You can pay now or later, that's all up to you. My opinion? They do a good job. Prices have increased in time but it's still better than the ones I have been around Torrance. Try them! read more

Ruined my brand new jacket and no apologies. I made 7 trips to this place for this issue

Louie's Cleaners has been our go to place for dry cleaning. Been coming here for years and was always pleased with the process. It's an easy drop off and pick up and ready on time. read more

They were very accommodating to get some alterations done before a trip out of town and I am a new customer for them. Much appreciated. I will be back! They look very busy so I really appreciated the accommodation on a quick turnaround. read more

They consistently do the job correctly the first time and do so promptly, demonstrating their dedication and care.

Nice people will definitely be back and had stuff ready when I needed will definitely be coming back

Prices are ok, service is good. Misplaced my order one time but thankfully they found it. The employees are always nice and respectful

Easy drop off, speedy return and quality service. I needed two jackets cleaned and I'm pleased with the outcome and reasonable price. I will be back. read more

Well, I looked up "affordable dry cleaners" and this one came up in the search. I've been looking for a less expensive dry cleaners since mine was too far after we moved back to Torrance. The reviews kept saying the "prices are reasonable" so I went and asked. They are not, they are double the dry cleaner I already was using closer to my home. $15 to dry clean a suit jacket!? No thanks. I understand that they may be nice but bottom line, cost matters most. I'll continue going to Vivi's cleaners on Figueroa and 228th, not an ad for them but they only charge $7.50 for a suit jacket. Save time and money, in this economy it's what matters. Hope this helps read more

Had to hem up my daughter's prom dress. All I did was place safety pins on dress to show how shortened it needed to be and they did an AMAZING job! I never saw the seamstress nor did my daughter have to go in for measurements. I was so scarred it would not come out ok since the instructions were so vague. But it couldn't have been better. You couldn't tell it was hemmed. read more

Brought in my wedding dress to be steamed the week before my wedding. I was really nervous because there was no way to find a replacement if something went wrong. They did a great job and it was super reasonably priced! My dress looked beautiful and they got it done in 4 days. A really great place, highly recommend. read more

I went to Louie's cleaners to get my wedding suit, blazers, and pants, and my wife's wedding dress to get it cleaned and preserved. The pants were $5, the blazer was $15, and the wedding dress cleaning and preservation was $250. They even offered to clean her veil and preserve it for no extra cost! The boxing did take about 9 weeks, but it was right after the July 4 holidays so it's understandable. Louie's cleaned my suit very well. As for the preservation of the wedding dress and veil, they did an excellent job! My wife can now view her preserved wedding dress from time to time, and she is very happy about it. I would definitely recommend Louie's if you need suit cleaning or wedding dress preservation! read more

Recently moved to the area and was looking for a new cleaners. Louie's has the highest reviews of anyone in the area. I've had a lot of issues with close shrinking at previous dry cleaners I've gone too. And I'm glad to say I've not had that experience here. 5 stars! read more

Been customer for more than 10 years. They have very friendly staff, affordable and reasonable service price, regardless of any type of service you may need alteration or dryclean, no problem,.. Also earned discount everytime i come over for my clothing needs.. thanks Louie and your staffs, keep up the great fantastic work.. read more

Great customer service. They double creased my uniforms , but when I took them back they redid them for no cost.

They finished my items within the timeframe they said. The person at the counter was friendly. My clothes were hemmed as requested.

Firrst and last visit... While running errands, this place was convenient. Reviews were good so I brought in dresses to be cleaned. Customer service was good. I just wish I asked for prices before I took the receipt and left. Talk about overpriced. I paid $27 for 2 basic work dresses that are not made of any fancy materials. What's worse is the short one cost more than the mid-length one. I'd rather drive farther and pay 1/3 of the price per dress. You would think I had alterations of some sort at these prices. read more

Louie's Cleaners & Alterations - Ridiculous high prices for basic cleaning - one short, one mid-length dress - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Carson, California

Inside the shop is a little in need of some cleaning arrangements (there was a daddy long leg staring at me in the fitting room but because I'm tall it really stood out to me) + customer service could be friendlier but they were cool. but the work that they do is amazing, as you can see my dress was nicely fitted to my body and she still like me a little room so I would be able to sit down LOL. When I first bought this dress it was really square so it wasn't shape to my curves but after I picked it up from them it was perfect from the alterations. read more

I have been going to Louie's cleaners for a few decades. Their cleaning services are great and the tailoring is stellar. Louie has maintained the high standards that his mom had. I appreciate Louie's friendliness and hard work. read more

Do not send your delicate clothes for dry cleaning in this place. They ruined my belt dress. (dress was 160$ macys), it came back ripped on all corners of the belt that comes with the dress and had couple of stains on the dress. The owner said that it is wear and tear and it is also due to the material of the dress that hit the metal in their dry cleaning machine, and cant do anything about the tear. My dress was brand new, never worn. They should know better on how to take care of delicate material. I am very disappointed. The owner/ guy told me to just sue them or reimburst the fee for dry clean and hem. They took no action of the torn edges of the dress belt. They reimburst me for 27$ that i paid for dry clean and hem but my torn belt was not fixed. They will only destroy your delicate clothes in this place. DO NOT SEND YOUR DELICATE CLOTHES FOR DRY CLEANING IN THIS PLACE. read more

I love the way they repair the pants. That's why I always keep going back. The price is very friendly as well.

I called and no one answered but we decided to drive here anyway since we were only 7 minutes away. Glad we came. They were able to sew the patches on right there, fix some patches that wasn't all the easy sewn on and it only took maybe 20mins. Each patch was $5 which is a normal price for big patches. We waited for the patches to be finished and it wasn't any issue. If you need patches sewn on right away this is the place to go. The customer service inside was good. read more

They cut the label from one of my designer sweaters that I entrusted to them to clean. It was brand new and first time being cleaned and I specifically put a marker on there to make sure. I called them and the guy who answered the phone put the blame on someone else and even said I don't have proof which is so dumb as i wouldn't be calling to complain in the first place anyway. First - if you're a business owner, you don't put the blame on someone else but in fact should handle the call diligently and go over what happened. So disappointed. read more

Very welcoming and friendly service. Alterations are very good. I recommend this business.

This is THE place for alternations. Cleanings are great to of course (maybe hard to mess that part up though?) I've been getting alterations/custom fittings done on pants, jackets, and even had a t-shirt turned into a tank top. I moved, but still drive here from downtown. If you're still curious for more details: #1 They understand style so they get what look I'm going for with pants etc #2 Insanely fair prices. $20 to custom fit pants. LIFE HACK: I now get oversized Levi's at Tj max for $20 then have them fitted for $20. Boom, $80 retail pants, custom fit for $40 total out the door! #3 They have a sign out from that they did the dress for Ms LA one year, so I'm guessing they can do anything. read more

Great spot to get your cleaning done and alterations. The alterations I got are always perfect and are priced very well.

I have been trying to find a local and affordable cleaners. Cam here and did not disappoint. Good turn around with time and decent price. It was a pretty easy transaction. read more

I just purchased brand new dresses for work wear and brought them to Louie's to be hemmed and dry cleaned. For $49, I expected better quality dry cleaning service, and quite honestly, it was not the best. By far, the worst in the South Bay. I found what appeared to be dog hairs on my dresses?!? My dresses felt and looked as if they were not fully cleaned and smelled a bit funky. Louie's was my go-to place to hem my clothing articles, but never will I use them to dry clean my items, ever again. Be careful and reconsider. read more

Super fast turn around and affordable. They did a great job on my daughters prom dress!

This so-called business stole very expensive rugs from me. The owner claimed that he gave them to another cleaners without my consent. After three weeks of blatantly ignoring my requests for follow ups as to the status, he still did not produce the rugs--cleaned or uncleaned. Frankly, the owner is too immature to be in business and will never get my business again. read more

They were all very kind and helpful. I've been calling around to get measurements for a bridesmaid's dress with no luck. Louie's was helpful and even gave the advice to use when placing my dress order. I'll be returning in the near future for alterations. read more

Louie is a Gentlemen and King, he is a professional and knows what is doing, very happy with his job!

I went there to get some pants hemmed (2 pants for $16; took less than a week). I like the length of my pants now, but I don't like the way they left the hem. I'm going to try some place new before going back here read more
