Delicious, Delicious, Delicious! My mom had told me this is her and my Dads favorite breakfast spot and I understand why! The wait was quite a bit since they were packed due to the snow birds being in town but the food was worth it! The restaurant was clean and nice. The portions are HUGE! My pancakes lasted me 3 days of breakfast and the grits were good. The waitress was even nice enough to make the hot chocolate with milk for me and it was good! I definitely recommend coming here if you haven't already!

Went here for lunch recently with a church friend who lives in a retirement facility nearby. Even though his facility includes top-notch meals in a beautiful dining room, he comes here occasionally and I can see now why. The interior, although a bit cramped, is bright and clean and the servers are very efficient and courteous. Our sandwiches arrived quickly and they were delicious. I hope my friend suggests we go here again the next time I visit.

The service was impeccable. Mariana was attentive and incredibly kind! The food was delicious and the portions were generous for the prices (hard to find these days). The restaurant was cozy and reminiscent of a diner with tables lined on either side of the restaurant. There is outdoor seating as well as ample parking. I will be returning if I'm ever in town :) sn: the homestyle potatoes had the most amazing crispy parts, please get them.

This was a family-owned restaurant that served breakfast and lunch dishes. The tables were very close together, so it was tight to move around. The service was friendly, and the food came out in a timely manner. I ordered the cobb salad ($15.99). I opted for blackened chicken. It came with romaine lettuce, avocado, blue cheese, bacon, pickled red onions, tomato, hard boiled egg and a green goddess dressing. This was great. This was a good-sized salad with a ton of all of the filing. The chicken was cooked to my liking while the green goddess dressing was tasty. I do not remember ever having this type of dressing with a cobb, but it worked well. It also seemed like all of the ingredients were very fresh. I also tried the chocolate chip pancakes. A pancake was large and appetizing. I really enjoyed how the chips melted right into the pancake. I also tried the orzo salad and it was okay. Something seemed off. It might have been the shredded cheese on top. It was not needed at all. Will I go back? No doubt.

this place is a great spot in Osprey Florida. Went here with my mom for a brunch and I got the lemon blueberry ricotta pancakes, not pictured, but she got their biscuit with egg cheese and bacon and she really enjoyed it. The servers are very friendly here and the service is quick and efficient. The bathroom is clean. They have a nice outdoor seating area that is covered so the sun is not beaming down your face, a great spot for brunch.

Delicious low key breakfast place. My family enjoyed Nutella pancakes, Mediterranean chicken wrap, eggs and bacon, and biscuits! Our server was kind and helpful. The restaurant has a family feel and the food is excellent. They have some gluten free options as well. We will certainly be back- and prices were very reasonable!

A friend and I had lunch at Max's Table last week and it was great. Very "old school" with a wonderful welcoming feeling. The hostess, Teresa, was sincerely friendly and knew many of the customers. The food was delicious and a nice variety of breakfast and lunch options. If you're in a hurry, the service was fast. If you're looking for a relaxing, unrushed meal, that's okay too. Very enjoyable time! read more

Amazing!!! I got the corn beef hash breakfast. Awesome flavor and huge chunks of meat covered with a generous portion of eggs! The french toast was the best I've ever had! The waffle was great also! The decor was the best use of barn style I've seen yet. It was clean and smelled good. The server was awesome with suggestions and even their other customers were helpful and nice! read more

First time trying this place out due to its high Yelp reviews and I definitely agree! Ordered a chicken panini sandwich with the orzo pasta salad as a side. I didn't exactly love my side as the orzo was served cold, and that's not my preference. However, the chicken panini was great! Looking forward to coming back and trying something new. read more

First time here since it was Demetrios. Very nice breakfast and lunch menu. Most breakfast items come with potatoes or cheese grits. I had the lox Benedict which was great, very nice Hollandaise, perfectly poached eggs. The cheese grits were tasty. Tried my son's Nutella pancakes which were delicious. Coffee is good, and their many omelettes and other dishes sound good, too. Need to come back for lunch, the turkey and Swiss sounds pretty good with garlic aioli. read more

Just stopped by for a quick lunch. I normally get the gyro, which is always delicious. To switch up, I ordered the Mediterranean chicken wrap and asked for tzatziki on the side. Wow! That was the best breakfast I have had in probably over 20 yrs. I love soft scrambled eggs and most places just cannot prepare them right. Max's knocked it out of the park with them. I usually don't like home fries but Max's cooks them more like burnt fried potatoes in which I love. The wife got biscuits and gravy and she concluded "That is what what biscuits and gravy are supposed to be!". Wish we lived in the area because we would be getting breakfast here every weekend. read more

We had dinner this evening with a large group. I heard this was the first group dinner served at Max's. It was fantastic! We had four entree choices. I chose the salmon and husband chose short ribs. Both were delicious and the presentation was lovely. The Caesar salad was tasty and fresh. The flourless chocolate torte was also perfect. Service was excellent. I would highly recommend Max's for a group. Very nice experience! read more

Best breakfast we've had in a long time! Ultra friendly service from Michael and great coffee! This new little breakfast gem is clean, in regards to both the atmosphere and the food. Best grits ever, with a touch of garlic and cream. Add a bit of salt, but this is Fl, so that's not not uncommon. The difference is that once you add a bit of salt, the flavors burst forward. The hollandaise sc was spot on, with a perfectly balanced citrus to butter ratio. Crispy homefries with out too much oil or butter. Best biscuit and egg sandwich. The biscuit was tender without falling apart when you pick up the sandwich. I hate ordering a sandwich and ending up with a fork and knife dish! I can't wait to go back and wish this business the best in the future! read more

We are brunch snobs and have had brunch all throughout the Sarasota area. Max's is the best food by far. The inside is cute but we were welcomed and ate on the comfy dog friendly patio by Teresa, a fabulous hostess. Everything was well prepared and delicious. We had the Max's omelet, the Ricotta pancakes, the Belgium waffle and corned beef hash. All were standouts! The goat cheese in the omelette was very good. The pancakes were light and the lemon curd/blueberry sauce was the perfect accompaniment.The corned beef is made in house and the hash was great! Go to Max's!! read more

The five star reviews are def worth the hype!!!! I only ten to leave comments on food that is memorable, maxs is definitely a must if visiting Venice beach/Casey key. The food was fresh, came out fast, and the flavors were an amazing explosion for the tastebuds. The staff is warm and welcoming and it feels like family. If I could rate this place a 6 I would. Absolutely amazing. Fabulous service, very quick to get food! The lemon ricotta pancakes are to die for and are a must when you come here. The crunchy French toast was also equally amazing. For those that like savory foods, the breakfast burrito was fantastic and the home fries that came with it were perfect. Awesome breakfasts. Only disappointment was calling ahead and being told that as long as we arrived by 2:30 we could order and eat there so we jumped in the car, drove 20 mins to get there, arrived at 2:28 and they already closed the kitchen so they turned us away. Lesson learned. read more

Visited Max's for the first time over the weekend. Excellent breakfast! I had Max's biscuit (with sausage and home fries) which was delicious, my wife had the waffle, also very good, and our friends had the corned beef hash which they said was the best. Love this place! After 5 years in Maryland, where we had very few good breakfast places around us, we are very excited to try our first place here in Sarasota. And this was it... I have to start with the service, as that's what stood out to us throughout the entire meal. The service was fantastic: from the host to the waitresses to the busser, everyone in that restaurant was nice and friendly and attentive. And the food was amazing. We got way too much -- from the Nutella pancakes to the chocolate chip muffins to the avocado toast to the veggie omelette, everything was absolutely amazing. Even the coffee was really good and stood out. The portions were huge, and we ended up taking a bunch of food home. While we look forward to trying a bunch of other places as well, I have a feeling this is going to be one of our favorites for breakfast. read more

Thanks to the recommendation of a total stranger, my husband and I finally checked it out earlier this week. Naturally, I had already done my due diligence by reading approximately 22 million Yelp reviews and looking at pics before walking in. I'd narrowed down my choices, but after chatting with our server, I went with the lobster burger. First of all- who decided to put the words lobster and burger together? It sounded confusing. And possibly unappetizing. Turns out, I owe whoever invented it an apology. The sweet server swiftly delivered a buttery brioche bun stuffed with big chunks of lobster, crisp lettuce, and a juicy tomato. I also requested a side of melted butter because...obviously. I feel like if there's lobster involved, melted butter is non-negotiable. Crispy fries rounded out the meal, and it was so ridiculously good that I pretty much unintentionally halted all dinner conversation to enjoy the party in my mouth. My husband ordered the ahi tacos with a side of duck fat fries. He inhaled every last bite of the tacos. They were piled high with fresh ahi and all the fixings, and the duck fat fries were rich and savory perfection- crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, exactly as fries should be. The restaurant itself is pretty small, with just a handful of tables inside plus some outdoor seating. I can definitely see this place being packed during peak hours and high season, so plan accordingly. We'll absolutely be back sooner than later.

The duck fries were amazing and the Steakhouse burger was tasty. My lady had one of their island bowls with shrimp and she enjoyed it. I can't say anything negative about this place. If I want to nitpick the establishment is located inside a strip mall and wedged in the corner between Birkenstock and a cafe. It is very small with inside seating for approximately 20 people and has some outdoor space as well. All in all a great place and worth going to.

Review of Max's Table in Osprey, Florida: After hearing rave reviews and enduring the typical wait for a table, my anticipation for dining at Max's Table was high. Fortunately, we were promptly seated despite the chilly weather, opting for an outdoor spot. The service immediately impressed us; our waitress was attentive and helpful throughout our meal. As for the food, it certainly met our expectations in terms of quality. I indulged in the chorizo quiche special, which was served with toast and fruit. It was undeniably delicious. My partner opted for the Breakfast Burrito, filled with spicy chorizo, scrambled eggs, caramelized onion, and peppers. It was also enjoyable, but neither dish left us floored. While the food was undeniably good, we couldn't quite grasp the fervor surrounding Max's Table. The quality was excellent, and the service was top-notch. However, the dishes we ordered, while tasty, didn't quite reach the level of extraordinary we were expecting. Many people consider breakfast the most important meal of the day. With that thought in mind,it's essential to make sure you enjoy a great breakfast. Thinking about it, you should have a stand out breakfast to start your day. A neighborhood fixture in Osprey, breakfast is the big draw and this place certainly shines. Important to note, Max's serves breakfast, brunch, and lunch until 2 PM. Everything we've had on the menu is very good , including the delicious omelettes that I typically eat. My favorite is the omelette with ham, Swiss cheese, mushrooms and spinach. This omelette has the perfect ratio of ingredients and the pieces of ham and the mushrooms are cut to the proper size. For my side dish I like their house potatoes. Lately instead of toast I've been ordering their homemade biscuits, they're excellent. Max's is clearly one of Osprey Florida's great American breakfast destinations. Salute! read more

Best breakfast in town. My family has been waiting for a place like this. Max's table is family owned and operated and it feels like it. I'm working my way through the menu and I've been crazy about each dish. The pancakes, huevos rancheros, patty melt, gyro, eggs benedict, and bacon have all been excellent. The kitchen really has their act together and it's obvious they want patrons to come back. The staff up front has made our brunch experience super comfortable with a welcoming and energetic vibe. Been here A LOT! Lemon ricotta pancakes are awesome. My son loves the fresh biscuits and the cheese grits are good. My other son loved the Belgium waffles and Nutella pancakes. Service has always been good. on weekends you will wait a while for a table if more than 2 people in your party. I like being outside when I'm in Fla but sitting on their patio you are right next to the parking lot and Tamiami trail. Won't stop us from going back though. I'd say it's the best breakfast place by far. Beats first watch and others in the area hands down. read more

I like this place for breakfast as there are not too many options available for me around where I live. It is a nice atmosphere, trendy industrial feel inside and the chef offers up some nicely prepared meals. Family owned and operated. They have a friendly wait staff. You have to get there early though because they fill up fast for breakfast on the weekends. I'm glad these guys finally opened up in my neighborhood. read more

This is a cozy local breakfast and brunch place. The parking is a little tight, but thag is because it is always busy due to the quality of the food. I would definitely go again. There are a few similar options on the area, but this is one of the best options for sure. read more
