Within 2.5 months I had to get over 500$ worth of repairs and everything was covered in my warranty but they made excuses why not . Not even 2 months later a bunch of other things have gone wrong . I went to maximum and they gave a whole "were gonna help you " speech said they were gonna get money back etc etc and sent me to a mechanic that was going to help ... none of which came to pass . They sold me a lemon according to a mechanic . Within 6 months I have spent over 2000$ on a car that should have been covered under their warranty and they lied about inspections they did . I brought my 2000 Infiniti I30 from them back in 2004. I still have the car with 238,000 miles on it. It only had 64,000 miles on it when I bought it and I got it for $13,000. If you're looking for a car in good condition it seems like they have some good deals. We also bought a Kia from them which only died after my wife got hit in an intersection down in Richmond. Terrible service. I tried MULTIPLE times to contact them via phone and email regarding a vehicle and NEVER heard back from them. Finally, after almost 48 hours with no reply, I again called wanting more information about the vehicle and was treated as though it was a bother to them to look up the information. When I asked about the car fax report they read it to me over the phone indicating it was in an accident but it was minor. I asked for a copy of the report and was told they could/would not do that. Bought a Toyota here and decent experience. Took the chance during the test drive to bring to Advance auto and they used their OBDII reader which came up with no codes. Had emissions test and it passed. Highly recommend taking any potential purchases to a mechanic for a thorough check up if the car reliability is questionable. Pricing was decent, but not amazing. I requested information from them about a vehicle I was interested in and had them check on financing too. I was approved for financing but the car I was interested in didn't qualify. Fast forward a month and a half- I saw another car I thought might work for me so I sent an email asking for more information. Before I could even take a further look at the car, they (Amar) ran my credit. My credit score dropped for the inquiry and I was simply asking for details on the car. I am so disappointed. Buyer beware. This dealership will not disclose important details regarding the condition of the vehicle - major issues that require a diagnostics check to identify. Customer service is good when you are a potential buyer but that changes the minute you purchase the vehicle. If you are trading in a vehicle they will low ball you AND try to hold on to the permanent tags for the new vehicle until they have the title for the trade in - even though they take their time sending in the paperwork. These people are professional swindlers. I wish I had done a check with the Better Business Bureau and gone through consumer reviews before purchasing from them. I am not the first person to purchase a vehicle from them that needed major repairs (new transmission) within 2 weeks of driving it off the lot and I won't be the last. My 16 year old daughter had saved up her money for years to purchase her first car, so after shopping around she found the GMC Terrain that she fell in love with. First month of driving it after paying 6000 the car needed new timing chain, water pump, and motor for the windshield wipers. About 3 weeks later the car stalled out while driving it and now it needs Cadillac converter, mass airflow sensor, oxygen sensor, and a new motor for the windows since you cant even put the windows down. I have called Mario and spoken to him only 2 times and each time he tells me he is going to call me back after he sees what he can do for me. I have yet to hear back from him and have called now for 2 week and keep leaving voice messages, written notes taken by front desk, and still no call back. Poor customer service!! I'm not a car guy so i didn't know what to check for when buying but i missed that i tried contacting the dealership to no avail then i threatened to get a lemon lawyer and that's when they decided to fix it . The car didn't pass emissions so they tried to have some guy illegally approve it rather than fixing the parts that needed to be fixed to pass and on top of that the transmission just went out and the extended warranty they made me purchase won't even pay for the full repair when that's what they advertise. They only paying like a 1/3 leaving me with 1400 bill mind u i got the car in December it's been in the shop 3 of the 5 months that i had this car and i don't race or do anything crazy in the car . Went in (we were really interested in this car) asked to speak with Dani, she rudely introduced herself and then handed us off to her "assistant". They couldn't locate any of our information (believe they spelled my name wrong) when they finally did they only thing they asked about were other cars we owned. WHY??? Yes, we have other cars financed, but has nothing to do with purchasing this car. We plan on keeping all of them.....Didn't ask about income, nothing. We were told we had a truck had drove it for two weeks and got the call saying thr loan wasn't approved had to go to another place to try and get another loan. After 7 major hits to my credit we were told we were approved for another loan but we had to do a, b, c then were told we weren't approved to return the truck after a month of having the truck. I was shopping for a Porsche 911 and found two at this dealer. I live out of state and needed more info on the cars. I spoke with a sales rep named Evan twice and quote frankly I cant believe a big used car dealer as this would have him answering the phone. Never send me the info including car-fax I requested. When I called back, he claimed he gave it to someone else to enter in the system as he was too busy on the prior contact. So we basically started the process all over again. While on the phone he couldn't get my email right after several attempts and was basically incompetent. He insisted on getting my personal info & phone# and instead of getting the carfax I wanted in the first place, I immediately got placed on a text message service. Don't bother wasting your time here, they hire unprofessional & non-skilled sales people. Sad considering I was looking at a high-end automobile which likely would have been a nice profit for them. These guys will rip you off any chance they get. Stay away. Bought a car there a year and a half ago, noticed that it needed a new compressor, they said they'd replaced it and we bought it, with the aftermarket warranty from diamond warranty. Problem after problem later, diamond warranty wouldn't cover half of the things mao claimed, and come to find out, we were left to replace the AC compressor months later bc mao swore they changed it, they did not. After buying a new car, we were informed the car we've been paying on for over a year and a half hasn't even been reported to our credit bc mao recorded the social security number one digit off. I've called three times, and every time, a different person has pretty much told us it wasn't their problem and hung up on me - as opposed to trying to find a way to help. After reading everyone else's ratings, I now see it's all sales and no customer service. And all of the sales are cars w issues. EDIT: Nick is the only one that has offered to help, after basically pleading with him, he seemed to pity me. As the old saying goes "buyer beware". We paid cash for a 2009 Toyota Rav4 with low mileage for our daughter to take back to college This Fall. Brought the car home Saturday afternoon. Sunday morning it would crank, but would not start. Luckily I noticed the cover for the auto trans interlock over ride switch was missing. I checked the internet and discovered a Toyota technical service bulletin describing the exact problem. Took it to the dealer. They fixed the problem at a cost of $450. Also found a extremely cheap set of floor mats in the trunk we were supposed to use. These mats were not designed to anchor to the floor board and were unsafe as they would slide into the pedals. Replacement floor mats cost us $70. Only received 1 key to this car. Duplicate key with transponder cost $150. On the plus side we were presented a copy of the Carfax, which is nice. However the Carfax indicated the car was stolen shortly after being delivered in 2009. Did not notice on the dealer lot, but after we got home and I washed the cart and noticed that the driver side door is a very different shade of blue than the rest of the car. Moral of the story; don't get emotional about thinking you are getting a great deal. Walk away, go home and do your research. read more

Then 3 days after I bought the car took it to the mechanic which gave me the results of the transmission was messing up the engine light was missing, alignment, tires sensor were missing in 2 tires, rear rotors, spark plugs, transmission flush, a hood holder Clip missing. I bought the car in July 2016 and am writing this review November 2016. Problems started with my 2010 GMC Terrain with 50k miles on it two hours after we left the dealer. The headlight globe was aftermarket and allowed water to leak in which caused a shortening of the light. Wheel bearings needed to be replaced in September. The throttle sensor malfunctioned and the fan belt motor went out in November. $1000 in fixes in less than 5 months. Stay away from this place. read more

WARNING: stay away from this dealership, wait to you read about my crazy experience with this dealership. I was looking for a BMW M5 F10 (2012-2016) car with a 6 speed manual transmission, the last style before BMW eliminated the 6-speed manual from the M5 lineup. They are very rare, I was looking for two years for this type of car. When I found one near me (less than 2 hours driving time), I contacted the dealer listing the car in Dec 2020. The dealership, Maximum Auto Outlet in Manassas Park, VA offered the car. I drove 1 1/2 hr to the dealership. The car looked really good, they let me drive the car, they provided what appeared to be a really good buying experience. They provided me with a CarFax that said there were no reported accidents with this car. However, this car being rare, I overpaid the Nadaguide value of the car by $8000 to get the 6-speed manual transmission. While the price was very high, I felt that the car was worth it to me, no accidents, mileage not too high. I had a little pressure from them to buy it that day, (another buyer is ready to go now if you don't buy it), I put the deposit down and scheduled the following week to pick up the car. Everything looked good at the time I picked up the car. THEN THE PROBLEMS STARTED the following week, not a mechanical problem that the dealer can wash their hands from but an unexpected issue. Glass starts falling inside my trunk within the first week of ownership, very weird, never had that happen before. I cleaned it up, next week again, little pieces of broken glass, again. After a few weeks of this it still did not stop. I sent a message to the salesperson who sold me the car, they said they would talk to management, no further response, I contacted again, no response, I took pictures, sent them to the dealership, no response. Glass still kept falling into my trunk, into my items in the trunk. This has kept happening through July of this year 2021, if I don't clean it up every other day it keeps accumulating. I had a small incident with a deer in July 2021 and took the car to a BMW body shop, when they did the estimate, I mentioned the experience about the glass. The experts at the BMW certified body shop were quick to point out that the glass had been replaced with non-BMW parts and with bad fitting, wrong moulding. They also pointed out multiple body repairs not disclosed by the dealership. I was not happy, I contacted the salesperson again, then asked for compensation to replace the incorrectly installed glass, and to clean up the broken glass that was still falling in the trunk of the car. They refused, this problem happened on their watch, they either replaced the glass with a badly installed cheap replacement or knew about the falling glass, the dealership could not have had a car for a few months and not see the falling glass. They also failed to disclose the glass and other body shop repaired damage (4 places, front two places, rear side and rear window), they were deceptive, they are the experts, they have hundreds of cars on their lot, they knew what they had and failed to disclose all the known defects. This is a deceptive dealership and you should stay away. They hide behind the CarFax by doing the repairs themselves and then not reporting the repairs. Reviews are the only way to get their attention, besides lawsuits, the BBB won't do anything if the car is not new, so we the consumer are stuck and get ripped off by these unscrupulous dealerships. read more

Bought 2012 Hyundai in February 2016. Needed a new transmission May 2016. The extended warranty from Diamond Warranty cost $2500. There is a $100 deductible and a $1200 cap on the amount they would pay. Didn't know/wasn't told that beforehand. Fortunately for us, we were able to get a firm price of $2500 on a reman tranny in Glen Burnie. Diamond covered $1100. We covered the rest. Bought GAP insurance while there for $895. Was able to get it from my credit union for $200. Requested a refund in March. Received it in June. Was told SEVERAL times by MAO that the refund would be sent by the insurer, when, if fact, Maximum Auto Outlet was supposed to send the refund check to me directly. Hmmmmmm. Made me feel someone at MAO was not telling me the truth. Hard to believe they didn't know how the process worked. Had to drive to Manassas during rush hour to receive 2nd set of temp tags due to titling difficulties. Thank God, the car is running well. Late June we were ready to buy a 2nd car. Looked at a few interesting deals at MAO--just for fun--because I have no intention of ever returning there to buy a car. Now you know some things that we did not. read more

Bought a car from this dealership on the fact that it had passed state inspection, and was told by the dealer that it was in good condition and safe to drive across state lines. Was only allowed a very short test drive. Got it home and was told by my mechanic that the car was literally not safe to be driving around. READ BEFORE GOING: Take a mechanic!!!!!!! I went and bought a Jeep Wrangler, on the way home experienced the death wobble on a 4 lane highway. If you are a Jeep owner you'd understand how scary that situation is the first time.. took it back, they said they fixed it and provided us with a rental, on the way home the next day it happened again... they said it was the 4WD cable that snapped and the struts, alright understandable. That was fixed, we brushed it off to be shitty luck and took it home. Took it to a mechanic to have it inspected and the tires were bald and the universal joints were broke, also the roaters were shot and the soft top was very broken again I called, we drove 3 hours there and after a full day they fixed everything. Here I am now, 2 days later just got home From the mechanic with a 4 page list of everything wrong with the car. The tires they replaced were old and had bad road and rock rash. The transmission is shot. Coolant leak. Bolts everywhere are missing. Track bar is bad. THE UNIVERSAL JOINTS WERE HALF ASSED FIXED and need to be replaced again. Did I mention they replaced the engine and did not even put it on the car fax? Shall I go on? Y'all get the point. In this hell of a month, I've learned customer service sucks, they don't care about you. There mechanics are terrible, and you literally have to pry info out of the people. I will add, mesheka is awesome, went above and beyond for us every day when it was not her job to. They sold us an unsafe vehicle, and we were put in many dangerous situations because of them. They will not give me the owner and higher ups number, and are barely working with me. If your buying a car from here, be ready to lawyer up because this place sucks. Met with the dealer, who never introduced himself, but told me straight up there is no space for negotiation. He is acting like he hated his job so much. The car is in okay condition. I wouldn't buy this car because of the "I don't give a shit about your business" attitude I got from that dealer. However, my friend is desperately in need for a car, he got the car anyway. A little about JJ.... 1) Knowledge - He doesnt know anything about cars. We were looking at SUVs but he couldnt tell us about clearance, towing capacity, interior space. 2) Service - He never made eye contact, learned our names, offered a test drive or seriously considered the basics of making a sale. 3 Petty Stuff - The amount of cologne was making me sick. 4) The best part - When asked about a specific vehicle we came to see he said it was unavailable. I purchased a vehicle from Maximum Auto in Feb 2018 and they refused to repair a scratch that occurred after purchase but before being shipped. I filed a complaint with BBB and they never responded. Their BBB rating is currently pending suspension as a result. See original complaint below: 10 inch scratch (along with small dent) was discovered on a vehicle I purchased from Maximum Auto and dealer has been unwilling to resolve the issue. Vehicle was purchased online (I live out of state) and after reviewing the online photos before purchase, completing an independent prepurchase inspection, and communicating with the salesman, there was no indication of the scratch on driver's door (an obvious location). When vehicle was picked up by an independent shipper, the shipper pointed out the scratch to the general manager and he confirmed. No one communicated the scratch on the vehicle to me prior to its arrival in IL. GM claims it was an oversight by the salesman and independent mechanic that reviewed vehicle and also claims he has photo proof that scratch existed when vehicle was listed for sale. I've been willing to settle with dealership if they can provide this photo for me to review, but the dealership has failed to do so. read more

***BUYER BEWARE*** HORRIBLE SHADY DANGEROUS PLACE***Purchased my dream car at this place (Buick Enclave) 2010, 84k miles, in what we thought was good condition. In less than 30 days car COMPLETELY broke down. When I say broke down, put me and both my children, 5 month and 5YO in risk. Car turned completely off and automatic steering shut off. I had to muscle the steering wheel in mid turn to avoid hitting other vehicles and vehicles running into to me, to pull over on side of road. I turned it back on and happened again. I took to Buick dealer and they said the codes were completely cleared, which they informed us is illegal. We tried to give Maximum Auto the benefit of the doubt and called them to tell them what had happened. Spoke to the Manager, Mario Garrett, who also sold us this car and he stated that the dealerships will always use this "ploy" to tell us that something more is wrong to the car than it actually is. Stating that it most likely just are the ignition coils. He offered to have his shop take a look and repair. Took it in Tuesday (5/2/17) and up until today, Friday (5/5/17) never got an update what so ever. So I called and asked for Manager. They stated he wasn't in yet if I wanted to call back. I asked to speak to assistant manager Makesha. Was told she was busy on conference call, asked if I wanted to hold. I said yes. Instead I get transferred to her VM. I hang up and call again and low and behold Makesha answered. I explained to her the dilemma, now being left without a car for 4 days and she states she understood my frustration. Put me on hold to get update from shop (which she originally asked to call me back and I refused). She comes back and says my car is ready and has been since yesterday. I have my mechanic go pick it up .... come to find out my car STILL isn't fixed. NOW THEY ARE PUTTING ME AND MY CHILDREN AT RISK **AGAIN**. This is all in less than 30 days leaving their lot!!!!!! I have called back to inquire what was done to my vehicle, which Makesha has offered to do, and was left on hold for 7 minutes. I called back 4x and sent to her can every time. Finally I call back and get through to the manager, Mario Garrett, and asked him to please let me know what was done. He was not in the office, which come to find out he rarely is. He stated that I would have to wait until he got to the office with which I responded to please have someone in the office please answer my question as he continued to speak over me. When I was stating how unhappy I was and that this would be reported to the BBB he stated go ahead. I have now waited another 3 hours and still no response from anyone. I called again to see if Mario was in so I can have my answer and they stated he rarely is in. Therefore I explained this is why I was hoping someone else could help. They stated that he is the only one to answer any questions like these from any customer. Someone is obviously trying to hide something here. Horrible place!! No customer service skills, management is worse than employees and from the looks of it, not the first to be scammed buying a non working vehicle. read more

This is one of the most unethical and immoral places in Manassas. The vehicle I bought functioned for about 1 day. After that day, I began to deal with mechanical issues that weren't listed or brought up during the purchase. Furthermore, the minute I brought them up to the sales person and manager, I was informed that I should have done a better job of purchasing a vehicle "as is". While I understand this common deceitful practice, the fact that the problem wasn't addressed, costing me hundreds of dollars to fix, is beyond unacceptable for any "reputable" organization, but the lack thereof, places others on the road at risk. Avoid purchasing vehicles where even the slightest chance of purchasing a vehicle in bad mechanical conditions puts you at risk of spending more money exist without proper response from their management team. But most importantly, avoid places where employees are unethical and this common practice is at the core of their business. Good luck and beware! read more
