The bartenders were super friendly and made sure to keep up with the demands of our venue. The food and drinks were top-notch. We were served some finger food, and the meat balls were to die for. The place isn't too big. Bar stools & some hightops. There was a big screen tv with a football game on, and there was decent music (not too loud) playing. I had been to a speakeasy overseas recently, and though I wasn't expecting something that different, I did wish this place had a more interesting vibe. The interior was nice, just felt it needed something 'more'. We were there on a Saturday night - kind of early (a little after 8). Hardly anyone in the place, but I'm guessing it fills up later? I noticed outdoor tables for nicer weather which would be good. My chocolate martini was really good & reasonbly priced ($13). My husband had a beer (bottle) for $5. Server/bartender very nice, making sure our drinks were good. We didn't try any food (they have some small plates). Overall - there was nothing bad about Social Lounge. It was good, however, not great.

First time at Parkville Market and The Local and have to say I am beyond impressed!…read more The Local has something for everyone. The ambiance here is so cool- I love the decor and set up. Our bartender was super nice too! I ordered their cucumber cocktail and thought it was perfect! It was a warm day and this drink definitely gave off summer vibes. Very light and refreshing and made with quality ingredients! You can even ask to have your cocktail in a plastic cup so you can walk through Parkville Market. I opted to do this just because I've never been here before but I would totally come back to chill at The Local next time! I can definitely see coming here on the regular! Can't wait to try their other specialty cocktails!

We were seated at a booth, but quickly moved to the bar where the bartender made our concoctions, chatted with us, and talked about the old distillery that was before the parlor. I got the Smoke Break; mezcal, wild moon sumac, apricot, amaro del capo, lime and absinthe. It was very good, very smoky, but the perfect balance. And of course, the birthday is not complete without shots! We ended up taking the sour cherry vodka, which is one of my favorites We were unable to get food as the kitchen was closed, but we will have to try next time

We returned for Father's Day and we were seated immediately without a reservation, though I think we just got lucky so I don't recommend this. We all shared the warm olives, the croquet poulet sandwich, the fries, the quiche lorraine, the chateubriand, the roasted beets, and the strawberry ice cream. It was all a hit, and when a 3.5-year-old and a 22-month-old are enjoying your food without any coaxing or help, you know it's fabulous! My husband got some cocktail and I got the phony Negroni mocktail. Service was great and the atmosphere is chic without being uptight or snobby at all. We all left really happy. I still dream about that sandwich. I'd love to go back and try other things on the menu. I'm sure they knock everything out of the park. I am hoping Le Mazet will be our special occasion restaurant.

When we arrived we were seated at a beautiful booth. The interior is gorgeous here. Our server was fantastic I wish I remembered his name! He suggested some great items. We started with their steak frites and I cannot rave more about it! First this plate is definitely shareable. Among myself, my husband and young toddler we destroyed this. My daughter was eating so much of this steak and so were we! It was sooo tender and we loved the gravy on top. The fries were amazing and when they were drenched in that gravy it was chefs kiss! What really brought it all the together was the salad paired with it- it was light and refreshing and the dressing was so good! For dessert our server suggested the chocolate custard so we got that and a berry handpie. We ate both and kept saying "oh my god" with each bite. My daughter especially loved the chocolate custard but my husband and I loved both equally! We immediately said after our meal how we have to come back. We cannot wait to try other menu items and their cocktails next time. We are huge fans and will definitely be back!!

The servers were also passing cornbread with delectable chipotle butter and chicken skewers We then had a lovely 4 course meal! These were very good and the dipping sauce had a nice vinegar kick Crispy Brussels sprouts, whipped herb crème fraiche, pretzel crumb, mustard vinaigrette, kielbasa was the next plate served. I LOVE the crispness of the brussel when cooked to perfection, almost like crisps For dinner, I had the Bella Bella Half Chicken which was a fall cassoulet with Young Farms heirloom beans, root vegetables, duck bacon and chicken sausage. I was a fan of the chicken but wanted to try something new. I had to bring my dinner home at this point because I was so full and wanted dessert. For dessert we had a Tres Leches Tiramisu; Mascarpone, tres leches soaked lady fingers with cocoa powder. My wife got the Salted Caramel crème brûlée, and it was to die for! Some of the Best Mexican Food I've Had!…read more No Mames was a fantastic experience! This fresh take on Mexican cuisine was some of the best Mexican food I've had in a long time. This isn't your typical Mexican restaurant where you're immediately greeted with a basket of chips and red salsa. Instead, you can order a salsa trio from the appetizer menu, which we did, along with the chicken flautas. Both were excellent! For our main entrées, we ordered the chicken tamale and street corn enchiladas. Let me tell you, those enchiladas may have been the best I've ever had--and I've eaten a LOT of enchiladas over the years! The restaurant was clean, the atmosphere was inviting, and our server was excellent. Everything about our visit made for a great dining experience.
