Great new experience this time adding a new eatery of an established local bakery. Came here for the lilikoi bun but was captured by all the other offerings. Service was good and they gave good recs of what to try but was lucky to talk to a regular to get the 411 on what to get. If you're a vegan. This is the bakery for you. I literally gasped when I saw that there was bread company within walking distance of my airbnb. Get the Hawaiian muffin! It was a great taste of Hawaii. I think it had coconut and pineapple. It was super moist and flavorful. I also got the bacon, egg, and cheese. It was alright. Apple turnover was average as well. I also got a ube mochi bread. I wish there was more ube flavoring. It ended up being a very dense sweet cake that was not very memorable. I got the phil which was one of their only savory options. I wasn't a huge fan. Moral of the story: talk to the staff and ask them what they recommend because they recommended the hawaiian muffin and that is the way to go! read more

The place is a really cute, small bake shop. There are many creative pastries and gluten free options. I got the POG bread and K-Dog and wasn't so much a fan of the bread. The K-Dog was delicious though and I would order it again! My friend got the gluten free banana bread and I liked that too. This was our first stop in Kihei the next morning of our arrival in Maui. We were staying just a few blocks away and I'm on a GF diet so this was one of the bakeries that had ample GF options. Upon entering you can smell the freshly baked bread --yum! Hubby got several pastries -- ube filled bread was one of them but he downed them too fast before I could take a photo LOL! For GF people, they have various mochi bread options too (ube and passionfruit to name two flavors). I got their GF banana bread and coconut coffee. The banana bread was moist, dense, delicious and very filling. Really enjoyed it! Plus the coconut coffee tastes so Hawaii/tropical. Texture is a bit thicker and heavier than your typical cold lattes. The lady at the counter was very friendly too. They also have various tasting samples of their jams and spreads available. Had to try some Maui Bread to bring to one of our beach days. I wish we had bigger stomachs or a longer trip so that we could've tried more. There were so many delicious looking goodies. And the store smelled delicious. We opted for the banana bread and the passionfruit orange guava. I've had a million banana breads in my lifetime, and I can't say I was blown away by this one. It was fine. But the POG was definitely unique. My husband and I enjoyed the POG more than the banana bread. My new secret find if you love all kinds of bread. I went in for sourdough and they were all out. I decided on the multigrain bread instead. The bread was fresh and flavorful. Remember Saturdays they load up and have special German breads and buns of all kinds. I must try the brownies next for a special occasion. After running along the Kamaoles at sunrise, I drove for a minute here at 6:50 to see what the hype is about. When I got there a couple folks were waiting in line. By the time they let me in at 7:00, there was a growing line of ten people. If you grew up enjoying wrapped Sheng Kee (Bay Area) or 85°C (Bay Area/So Cal) buns and baked goods, this is your spot. From cheese/hotdog buns to bread loafs to interesting local concoctions like the pina colada and lilikoi buns, there is essentially something for everyone here. I ordered the POG (passion, orange, guava) loaf, the Hawaiian (pineapple, coconut, macadamia, carrot, raisin) loaf, the sweet lilikoi bun, the k'dog (I assume this means Korean dog, as it is filled with mozzarella and hotdog), and the ube mochi bar. **pina colada and lilikoi buns** Nothing here to really write home about. The lilikoi bun, in my opinion, should have more filling in it. It stops about half of an inch into the bun. The pina colada bun is interesting--it almost tastes like biting into a pizza. That said, I didn't think that was a bad thing. Both buns are a little harder than I expected and after 10 seconds of microwaving, would probably be perfectly soft. **ube mochi bar, POG bread, Hawaiian bread** Religious experience here, yelpers. This is what got me to write this review. A lot of bakeries advertise mochi-style goods, and you wonder from the first through the last bite where the mochi was. Not here. With a crunchy texture on the top and bottom of the bar, the bar has a perfectly soft mid, mochi section. The POG bread tastes like what it says--POG. The Hawaiian bread is generously filled with carrot, raisins, and pineapple and has the perfect amount of mac garnish. The loafs tasted freshly baked, the slices so so soft yet still firm enough to hold without worry of falling apart. If you're in Wailea or Kihei, try it out for a light breakfast or quick snack, and hope they aren't sold out of what you're looking for by then! I never would've guessed I had to go all the way to Kihei to get an amazing Pretzel Croissant, but it's by far the best Pretzel Croissant I've ever had. I'm not even going to select a #2 or #3 because it would be disrespectful to Maui Bread company's Pretzel Croissant. Whatever pastry I had they put the passionfruit jam inside was insanely good too. Really pops with the German mustard. K's dog was okay. The bread was delicious and fluffy but the Portuguese sausage was sadly one-note. Tasted more like a Polish sausage than a Portuguese one. But the German mustard really saved it! Bacon and egg bread was also okay. Again, bread was super fluffy but couldn't really taste the bacon. The egg was also cooked well--not dry and very light--but needed seasoning? Didn't taste like anything. German mustard couldn't save this one :( Ube Mochi was more like a Butter Mochi texture (a little cake like) and I'm really glad we tried it but would prob get something else next time. read more

We got a bunch of options including chocolate chip cookie, banana bread, sweet bread, pretzel (not the baguette), bacon cheese twist and a cinnamon roll. The bread on every was soft and had great flavor. The flavors were good but nothing crazy. I would recommend the bacon cheese twist and the chocolate chip cookie. Those both were the highlight out of the bunch. The service was very quick and efficient. Only took us a few minutes to get what we wanted. They took our allergy very seriously which was super appreciated. They went to the back to get a fresh piece just to avoid any cross contamination. It's a very chill bread shop. read more
