I ordered online for Easter, and this is my first time ordering from them. I'm not really one to order through phone so I was happy that there was an option to order online. I ordered, paid, waited for about an hour and still no order. Everywhere I look online says that the place is open and I even called about three times. You would think that they have an automated voice messaging service saying they are closed or something, but I'm pretty pissed that I even got a text from grubhub saying my order was being made. First, I would want a refund if I was charged, second, I would recommend Master Pizza to update their online service and time schedule. I understand it's a national holiday, but at least let the internet know you guys will be closed. It's hard for customers to rely on one source for information. EDIT: I understand I might have came off as narrow-minded, but I do agree that workers deserve their off days. Once again, maybe if there were a calendar if you guys will be open or closed during certain holidays, it would be more helpful than just informing the sites that people order from. Too expensive for my taste. I ordered 3 large pies- 1 margherita pie, 1 garlic mushroom pie and 1 sausage pie.. Total with $8 tip came to $81.63. 1 more pie and that would have been over $100. Pizza was just ok nothing special. read more

Ordered 7 different lunches for our office and 5 out of the 7 had issues. A burnt Stromboli that was raw inside. Sour tasting salad. A turkey cutlet is not a turkey burger. Just to name a few. I love this place. I do I do! Their food is fantastic. Their service is even better. At my office we order quite a bit online and I have never had an order messed up or the food less than fantastic. Tip order the Panna( A creamy white parmigiana sauce with peas and prosciutto) it is even better with fettuccine noodles. Garlic knots are pretty amazing as well! read more

Decided to try this place to cater my son's communion. We have had their pizza plenty of time (especially their specialty pies) and ordered dinners as well- always a great meal. An absolute gem to the neighborhood! As for the catering, this was the best decision I could have ever made! The chicken francese, chicken parm, sausage and peppers, penne vodka were all absolutely delicious. All of our guests are still raving about the freshness of the meat and the tastiness of the various sauces. Also they were able to prepare my order with only a days notice! I've ordered from here several times and every time, the food has been great! I was really sad when the previous pizza place that had been at this location, Joey's, went out of business, but Master Pizza has definitely made up for that loss.The menu is huge as well! Of the things I've ordered, the chicken cutlet pizza is amazing! Reading some of the other reviewers, I have this to offer: this is an Italian-style pizzeria which means they use more of a thin-crust style. So if you are used to the more "fast food" pizza style (Domino's, Papa John, etc) this may not be the place for you. Also, they make everything fresh so I don't think they have heat lamps like the fast food pizza places, and I'm glad they don't! Also, the pizza sizes, in inches, are clearly listed on the menu so if you didn't take the time to read the menu you shouldn't complain about the size of the pie you got. Anyway, I would recommend this place highly. The people are very friendly, and I get the sense that if I ever was unhappy with something I got, they would be happy to make me another dish to replace it. read more

Ordered take out here. Usually enjoy calamari cause their breaking is better than other local places. But this time, they disappointed me. They sent and sold us brick hard calamari. You can literally crack it with bare hands like a chip.Totally in edible which was a big shame. Chicken was ok. Expected nuclear to be hotter. BBQ pizza not so smothered in BBQ which was good. Im a returning customer, and I had a really bad experience at this place, I walked in at the end of the day and I simply asked if they had any end of the day specials, and the manager was really nasty and gave me attitude, if you have a problem go home, don't take out on your paying customers, way to attract customers to came back, never again... The pizza never made it to the oven, your guy was just starting to stretch the dough, and your manager attitude made me change my mine, I walked out quitely and he was making sarcastic comments to me, and then he followed me to my car, honestly I felt I bit nervous, these days pleople do very stupid things, and I felt threatened, bottom line is, You have the wrong people behind the counter. read more

Probably the only time I've ever written a review. I've been severely disappointed by food before, but this is pretty up there. Ordered a burger from the special menu - Mushroom Swiss with LT. To preface this, I've cooked professionally for a few years and kind of have an idea of what to expect when going into most restaurants. I ordered a burger from a Pizza joint - not going into this expecting a Brewpub-grade burger for $7.00. Got back to the office, took a bite of the burger. Absolutely no flavor - not even a little. Beef-patty-and-bread-shaped bland nothingness. The patty tasted like it was taken out of the freezer and immediately put on the grill to cook. The beef patty didn't even have a lingering flavor of beef. When I say absolutely no flavor, I'm being quite literal. Aside from there apparently not even being salt or pepper in their kitchen, the burger was topped with shredded lettuce as opposed to a solid piece/leaf lettuce. While this may come across as a bit pedantic, the excessively watery shredded lettuce only exaggerated the blandness of the burger. Every bite was like picking up and biting into a piece of meat on two slices of bread that was freshly dipped into a bathtub. Also - who puts shredded lettuce on a burger?! Everyone was nice and pleasant enough, and I obviously didn't pay a lot for the burger - but I went into it with fairly low expectations and I was somehow STILL completely taken aback by how awful this burger was. Timmy's alcoholic father on his 7th beer at the neighborhood barbecue, burning his 2nd set of burgers could have cooked a more flavorful meal out of the corner of his eye while eyeballing the neighbor's wife. Please, please invest in some seasoning and leaf lettuce. 7/6/18: Definitely my favorite pizza place in town. I was on my way to a friends house and we decided on pizza. He said he ordered and paid and got me to pick it up. I said okay where? He said Dominoes. I said that's not pizza and your Italian. So I passed Master Pizza and pulled in back lot. Looked them up on Yelp! and the reviews were somewhat good, so I ordered my plain pie. When it was done, I still had to drive and get the "other" fake pizza. When I finally got to his place the pizza was like warm but it was still delicious. The taste was amazing and gave me no heartburn. They have a location near my house that I will try. I downloaded their App Store app so I can order before I go. I'm going to try a salad with grilled chicken this Friday and of course another pie. I recommend this place with flying colors. 7/13/18, Friday the 13th curse: I ordered a cheese pie and salad with grilled chicken chicken to be picked up at 7:15. I arrived at 7:20 and they gave my pie away. Seriously? I dropped the rating to one star because of this. I now have to wait. I drove 30 minutes to pickup on way to my friends. Now I have to wait and my cold drinks in the car are getting warm. I will not be back. I will find another place. I also prepaid for my order or I would've walked out. It's now 7:30 and still no pizza. Finally got the pizza and John said because I prepaid online, next time call and ask for him and he'll take care of me. There will be no next time. I will find another place. He should e refunded my entire order in cash. Than when I got to my friends house, I opened the mesclun salad with grilled chicken and there were peppers and onions on top. I specifically unchecked those and saw it on my receipt. Obviously someone didn't read the order and just made the standard order. They are incompetent here. Sadly, this business is going downhill. A few weeks ago, I was delivered the incorrect order. I understand this happens as I work in the food industry. They made good on their part to correct the order. Last night, I ordered soup, an appetizer, and a slice of white pizza. Everything was above board until I opened the slice of pizza. . . It was burnt to a crisp. The cheese was hardened and was cold. I called to speak with a manager and was told that was all they had left. Absolutely outrageous! I'd rather be told you are out of an item rather than sacrifice a paying customer. It is not about the $3 slice. It is about tge integrity of the business. read more

My favorite pizzeria by FAR. Not only is the pizza always fresh (the Nonna pie is my go-to, ALWAYS), the pasta is amazing! The stuffed rigatoni is bar none my favorite pasta on the menu. I've also gotten the rib-eye steak panini, and the California chicken panini and I have yet to be disappointed! I love walking into MP and seeing the friendly staff - they're always welcoming and accommodating (especially since I have a few allergies to worry about). In regards to some of the negative comments I'm seeing below - I think it's important to note that everyone is entitled to a bad day, and life is too short to complain all of the time. I normally get delivery, but today was the first day I decided to do 'pick-up'. So, I went ahead and ordered online, entered all of my cc information, and drove to union to wait on my delicious Brando Wrap. The only issue I have with them is their location: I couldn't find their parking lot for the life of me. Pulled into the tanning salon parking lot before I stupidly realized it was reserved for them. I passed what looked like a driveway, but was too paranoid my car would get wrecked in that dinky lot so I pulled on the side street. No biggie, but I was super confused as to how 4 places share the size of a driveway without having any vehicle issues. Anywho, the interior of MP is pretty! The staff is very friendly and their service is quick ! My only qualm was the fact the manager/person in charge told me they don't charge cards online, so he had to run it again. Coming from someone who's had their cc # stolen a couple of times, I was nervous. Next time I'm going to select 'cash upon pick up' because now I'm freaked our they have all of my info. All in all, A- for the food (their ""chips"" are always friggin' stale), their service, and their lack of parking. I've been eating here since 2000 from their Livingston, NJ location on Northfield Ave. I recently discovered their Union location. John, their manager is such a nice man, always helpful and friendly. I love their clams oreganata. I refer to them as culinary crack, as they are so addictive. My favorite sandwich is either the Gormanator or the Roma. read more
