We first tried TD Pizza while visiting our friends who live in Springfield. TD is their local pizzeria spot where they frequently order takeout. It was a large group of us that night, so the order was 5 pies, wings, and a Cesar salad. While we went with a couple of 2 plain pies, 1 pepperoni, and 1 while pie, our one friend mentioned that TD had a really good veggie pie. Curious, a few weeks later, I was in the area and grabbed dinner takeout for me and my husband (resident vegetarian in our home). VEGETARIANS: Do not sleep on TD Pizza's Vegetable Pie! Good assortment of veggies - eggplant, garlic, broccoli, roasted red peppers, and tomato - with a CRISP CRUST (vegetarians know the disappointment with a sad, soggy veggie pie with just onions and peppers). Stopping by around the middle of a weekday, I was hungry enough to order a chicken parmigiana sub. It came out quickly enough but quickly disappointed with its plain white bread roll that lacked flavor and chicken cutlets that were thin, dry and somewhat stale. It's possible that those two factors affected the rest of the sub experience, but the cheese was gooey and not too flavorful, while the marinara sauce had a slight sweetness I hadn't expected. I left with my belly full but my soul deflated. The restaurant itself was pleasant enough, with a large front window that would be good for a people-watching dining experience (if there were more pedestrians around), and the staff was nice enough. i ordered a prosciutto and mozzarella sub. I was surprised that a side pasta salad, which was very good, was included. As was the half sub: with one significant exception. The quality of the prosciutto was inferior and cut in a thick slab. The whole slab slid out of the sandwich half when I attempted to take a bite. Good pizza with fresh ingredients and a soft crust with crumbs. This style of crust is a little rare around the area and they do it well. My fave is a 10-inch personal pie topped with anchovies, olives, and onion- tasty af and my parents love it too. Their Supreme pizza is always a hit with the rest of my fam with marinara, mozz, sausage, onions, peppers, pepperoni, mushrooms, and olives. While I've had issues with their other dishes years ago, their current pizza quality make me want to give em another try. Honestly had been going here fairly regularly for lunch more for convenience but pizza is really just mediocre. You're in New Jersey, there's no shortage of pizza places that are better. TD Pizza has consistently solid pizza. Their plain pie is pretty good, but nothing unique. I really enjoy their specially slices, especially the BBQ chicken pizza. I had the chance to try TD Pizza around 9-10 years ago when they first popped up in Springfield as the new pizzeria on the block. Unfortunately I did not have a good enough experience to warrant a return for some time, but thought I'd give them another chance to see if the quality of their food aged like fine wine (or like spoiled milk). I saw that they had Gluten Free Pizza, I so I called telling them I have a gluten allergy, and asked how they prepare it. The girl seemed confused, since she went silent, so I simply asked what kind of flour they use to prepare the pizza. She put me on hold, and came back laughing saying rice flour, did not tell me how it'd be prepared. Businesses that advertise gluten free items should know for themselves whether or not the food is "gluten-friendly" or "gluten-free". Since people do eat a gluten free diet, but it won't harm them if they do eat it. While many do need to know how it is prepared, and it will have an effect on them if they do consume a microgram of gluten. read more

Jeez! We can't get enough of this place, we wish they paid us instead of vice-versa. We go there so often that, this week, I went as far as introducing my colleagues at work. They really go above and beyond in what they do, and that's a lesson to everyone. We traditionally go for the pizza, but we have outreached to the calamari and other dishes in curiosity of our past buds. I sent this message privately and never heard back from TD pizza. I also tried their e mail and it kept getting kicked back to me. Good Evening, My family had ordered from your establishment many times as my husband and his family grew up in Springfield. When I called to place the order the lady on the phone told me 25 min. My husband went to pick up the pies after 25 min and ended up waiting another 25 min! I don't mind waiting an extra 5-10 min. But waiting another 25 minutes is not acceptable. If I was told 50 min that would be have been fine but I was told 25 min. When my husband picked up the food there was no apologies for being so late. There was also no sauce for the garlic knots. When my husband went to pick up the pizza he noticed the person making the pizza was not wearing a mask or gloves. I understand it's not the most comfortable but during this pandemic my husband has been in other local restaurants and pizza places and everyone is wearing masks and gloves. First time I've tried this place. I saw a picture of their specials on Facebook and noticed the coconut shrimp salad. We were moving into our new home and everyone was super HANGRY. So I said lets order pizza! I was looking for a highly rated pizza place in Springfield, but oddly this place is not. I decided to give it a chance because the reviews seem super mixed. So I got a little fancy with it and ordered a penne vodka pizza, everyone loved it. I thought pasta on bread was a little too much, but when I tasted it I was pleasantly surprised it was a good balance not overwhelming. The 2nd pizza was a margherita pizza it was good too, the crust was a little on the thicker side. My peoples favorite was the one I created which had Sausage, peperoni, and bacon. This should just be on the menu as the Bianca Pie we all loved it. We also ordered a side of fries and mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce they were ok, the portion is for about two people at best.
