First time at Master Kabob. We wanted to see if it lived up to the Yelp reviews. Easy parking and in a nice area by the college. The place is huge, plenty of seating and nicely decorated. We were greeted warmly and seated. The staff were very friendly, talked us through the menu and were. Rey attentive. The food... Amazing. Every single item Prepared to perfection. Massive servings and all presented really well. I don't think I've had better in DFW. All in all one of the best meals we have had. This place has to be on any real foodie's bucket list!

    Beautiful brocaded tablecloth.

Food and service here were great! Loved the hummus appetizer (had good flavor though not lemony like you get at Mediterranean places). The pita bread had a soft, light, texture. The complementary soup had lentils and other stuff in it. It was very tasty! Our entrees were excellent! Generous portions! We drove 52 miles from Rockwall to check out this place on Christmas Day. I was glad they were open and it was worth the trip. Would definitely recommend this restaurant- especially if you live in close proximity. Very kind and considerate service.

A friend shared a video of an influencer visiting this new family owned restaurant, and the story behind it was so touching that a group of us decided to make the 45 minute drive to Arlington and show our support. I'm being generous with my rating since they are a new business, but here are my honest thoughts on our visit. We arrived right at opening on a Saturday morning. There were a handful of customers, but not busy. The space itself is bright and welcoming, and I really loved the ornate thick tablecloths on every table. We were seated quickly and handed menus, but the menus don't contain descriptions. Google was our friend here. Since our full group hadn't arrived, we ordered hummus and an eggplant dip to start. The hummus is not the typical Greek style, no lemony tang but it was good. The eggplant dip was also good. Once everyone arrived, we started ordering. Or we tried to at least. I asked for the Kornish plate, they were out. So I asked for the salmon plate, they were out. I asked for a kebab special, they were out. After hearing, "we're out" four or five times, especially right after opening, it became frustrating. With a relatively small menu having half the options unavailable makes it difficult to choose anything. I was so frustrated. I just asked the server to tell us what was available. Our options were essentially a gyro plate, a lamb shank, a gyro sandwich, and a couple of kebab platters. We managed to pick something, but at that point I was already hesitant to order, especially with the service feeling a bit chaotic. For example, appetizers came out but without pita, and while they eventually brought it, it took several reminders. The pita itself is different than typical Mediterranean pita, it's lighter flatter and airier. Meanwhile, the server was busy, busing tables, taking orders and doing a bit of everything except completing tasks in the right order. When the food arrived, it was a mixed experience. The lamb shank and the gyro meat were very good and the rice was solid. However, none of the plates came with the usual condiments, and we had to ask several times for the vinaigrette and tzatziki type sauce. One person in our group even received a cup of tartar sauce on their gyro plate that had clearly been previously used, in that you could see where someone else had dipped into it. Also, who puts tartar sauce with gyro meat? Service is where the biggest improvements are needed. It appears to be an all hands-on deck with young family members helping out, but they clearly haven't worked in restaurants before. A few of them were gathered at the register on their phones and snacking on food from elsewhere, while one server was running around, trying to do everything herself. It was simply too much for one person to manage. Overall, the food was OK, and the portions are plentiful. I'm not sure it was worth a 45 minute drive just yet. They have several issues to work through, like being properly stocked for the weekend, providing standard condiments with the dishes, and training the staff. these are normal growing pains for any new business I suppose. If you're nearby, it may be worth stopping in to see if they've smoothed out the kinks. I'm glad we went and had a chance to try something new and I hope they continue improving.

The food was amazing. The portions are huge. Service was fast and friendly. There's plenty of seating space. Totally worth every penny. Would high recommend.

What a hidden gem and found out from the friendly waitresses that it just opened less than a month ago. When you walk in it feels cozy like you are at a family's home. It has minimal decor but I like that the table cloth is a beautiful colorful shiny cloth. I had hot tea and this delicious tomato base soup with lentils. It warm my insides and perfect for the weather. The flavor was rich and so tasty with every sip. I wanted to try a variety of meats so went with the beef and chicken kabob platter. It was served with a side salad and salt and pepper vinegar dressing to drizzle on top. A side of basmati rice which I added a shake of the sumak on it. You get a big portion enough to feed two or three. :) the kebabs had good favor and the chicken as well. The chicken was so moist in the inside. I ripped a piece of the pita bread and added a thin slice of chicken a couple pieces of the charred onion and tomato spread the garlic sauce and it was perfect. The food was really good and staff was wonderful!

We came here after seeing @samspov_1's review. The food was fantastic. We were given a complimentary bowl of warm soup that was very similar to a beef barley, which I love. I got the Mixed Combo (?) plate and my daughter got the Gyro plate. There was more than enough food and the meat was perfectly seasoned and moist. Definitely give this place a try.

Went on a Saturday evening and there was no wait. The staff were extremely friendly and very attentive. We ordered hummus to start. Pretty basic but no complaints. Then they brought out soup- that was really good! We ordered the #1 Koobideh and the #3 mixed kabaob. The portions were huge. The food was so fresh and delicious. Would definitely recommend this place if you're craving good Mediterranean food!

The good was delicious- we ordered the family style (chicken and lamb) - the girls likes the chicken and the guys go for the lamb and even had a little for the guys to take home. Will definitely come back here. Place is clean, couple booths beautifully decorated. I think when you are in it, it would feel like you are transported to an exotic place... No alcohol here. Only tea (mint), soda and canned drinks or hot water/tea. Come with a positive attitude, you will be delighted! Keep up the great job team Fartoush

Well I hope it is isolated and not because they are growing too fast. I'd give 3.5 stars for this visit if I could. There was more staff than I've ever seen before however things seemed a little chaotic. One waitress rushed by the counter and knocked straws all over the floor - she saw she did it and didn't stop or come back to pick them up - one of the guys picked them up when he went by. There was a table that was uncleared nearly our entire meal - and the plates still had some food on them which I thought was unusual (I'm used to seeing clean plates or to-go bags). Our waitress was chaotic - hyper, rushed, and distracted. Not giving normal Fattoush vibes. The hummus was delicious as usual. Beautiful, & velvety. Their hummus has become my standard for what it should be. The grape leaves were extremely tart - tasted like a mouth full of vinegar. I haven't ordered them in a while and am hoping this is not a recipe change. Finished one & couldn't eat any more. The garlic dip was tamed way down. Made me sad because I like the stronger garlic. Again, hoping this is a one-off. An owner at another local establishment had told me that many tame it down because of the American palate. I can understand needing to find that balance of staying authentic vs please customers but I'm going to need the secret password to get the real stuff! Lol. (But seriously - if you know it, please let me know!) After trying their burger awhile back, my Mom hasn't been able to order anything but that as her entree. It is great. Steak fries are same as straight up American steak fries and good. She said next time she'll get the sauce on the side because it was heavy handed this time and overpowered the delicious meat. Bun wasn't holding up as it usually does. The chicken shish tawook was good as always however I was missing the bite from garlic dip. I love their rice! They have great yellow rice too. My husband and I shared and had some to bring home for one lunch. I got a piece of Iraqi bread because I've never ordered it before- it was really good! Served warm and bigger than large dinner plate. On our way out, while we were checking out the beautiful patio and new area to come, we had a 5 STAR moment when we saw Chef Bashar. I asked him if he'd consider doing a borek appetizer sometime as we had a delicious cigar (bc it was rolled) borek at a place in Dallas. He was very open to the idea and said they will be having 2 different menus when the new concept opens and adding more vegetable options. He also noticed my husband looking at the Palastine Cola in the drink case and told him to take one home and try. I thought this was extremely nice and generous. I look forward to continuing to support this great local business and believe this night was just an off night. You can also follow them on instagram to watch them make dishes, see specials & restaurant updates.

It's not exactly close to me, but the menu convinced us to give it a try. My husband went with the buffet and enjoyed the variety -- hummus, gyro, salad, and pita bread -- and felt the price was a great value for what was offered. I ordered the pastitsio. It wasn't quite the same as the versions I've had in Chicago, where I've enjoyed both homemade and restaurant-made versions. This one was still enjoyable, but not as flavorful as I remembered. The béchamel sauce was creamy, though I felt it needed a bit more seasoning, and the tomato sauce leaned a little too soupy for my taste. I took the moussaka to go. It had a very similar flavor profile to the pastitsio, but instead of pasta, it featured layers of eggplant and ground beef. It was comforting and hearty, though the flavors felt a bit repetitive between the two dishes. The cheese bread that came with both the pastitsio and moussaka was really good -- warm, soft, and a great pairing with the meal. Service was fantastic -- friendly and attentive -- and the space, while small, had a cozy, homey feel. Overall, I'm glad I finally got my pastitsio fix, and it was a pleasant experience.
