Sad!! I rarely write a review and most are very positive, but tonight was a major disappointment at CAVA! NOTE: I have been to CAVA before and love the food (most of the time). However, tonight was really bad! First, I drove (not a short distance) to place a To Go order. Secondly, they were out of at least eight (8) items and I hoped for most of those. Third, NO BODY working was polite or happy to be doing their job. Not a smile. No "sorry". Not even a "Thank You". Just frowns and bad attitudes. Lastly, if you are out of key items that customers request, then you should NOT charge Full Price! Offer a discount or authorize your employees to accommodate a discount if requested. That was not the case at CAVA tonight and the pics are proof. BTW - not one person asked if I wanted pita bread/ chips nor was I asked if I wanted a drink, so didn't order those. Unfortunately, I will probably not make another special trip to North Arlington to give CAVA my business. If you decide to risk it, then I hope your experience is better than mine... Good Luck!

The image shows the interior of a cafe or casual dining restaurant with a contemporary design. Wooden tables and chairs are arranged throughout the space, with some customers seated and eating. The ceiling has a wooden grid structure with hanging pendant lights. In the background, a counter with menu screens and staff preparing food is visible, along with a yellow accent wall and shelving. The overall atmosphere is bright and welcoming.

Delicious food and excellent service. The workers are top notch and friendly. Even during lunch rush hour, the staff were still friendly and professional. Came at 1pm. Like of about 20 ppl. Some ppl left because the line was too long. Parking lot with plenty of space.

A partially eaten burrito containing green peppers and other fillings is wrapped in paper and placed on a surface inside a vehicle. A yellow CAVA shopping bag with bold black lettering is positioned behind the burrito, and a paper bag with the same branding is nearby. The interior of the car includes a dashboard, air vents, and a gear shift, with sunlight coming through the windshield.

Steak pita - A steak pita sandwich wrapped in a flatbread, with the open end revealing slices of cooked steak, ham, and melted cheese. The flatbread appears toasted with some browned spots, and the sandwich is placed on crumpled brown paper.

I thought this place was super good! I had no idea what this place was, but I'm glad I tried it out! The restaurant is subway style, get in line and point to what you want on your food. I got a steak pita bread wrap. Talk about flavor! Oh my goodness. A generous mix of so much feta cheese, hummus, and well seasoned steak. My mouth is watering thinking about it. The wraps are really big. You can also do them as a bowl. We for a side of hummus as well. It comes with fired pita chips. I didn't like those at all. They were too greasy. I prefer fresh pita bread with my hummus. Nonetheless, this place was really delicious and I want to go back right now!

Cucumber Mint Lime Juice - A person is holding a clear plastic cup containing cucumber mint lime juice, with visible ice and slices of cucumber inside. The cup has a white straw and the word 'CAVA' printed on it. The background features a yellow shopping bag with the same 'CAVA' branding, placed on a speckled granite countertop. The person's hand is partially visible, wearing a pink sleeve.

I love CAVA for how fresh the food items are! I just tried their Cucumber Mint Lime Drink today & I'm obsessed! Thanks for the recommendation TJAY & for the always-excellent service!

Slowest CAVA around!!! Ordered online and still waited 30 min for my order. - Multiple customers are lined up at a fast-food restaurant counter, with some waiting to order and others waiting for their food. The counter has a digital register and a glass partition, with staff members preparing orders. The background shows a wall with artwork and a beverage refrigerator. The floor has visible circular markers for social distancing.

A while back I went and the vegetable combo had gone up to $20! Now it's back down to $16 so I'm back. The food is as good as ever. Homemade everything. Two versions of hummus, regular and spicy, and both are delicious! Tatziki, tabouli and garbanzo salad as well as stuffed grape leaves, chicken and beet salad. And hot sides are also available on the veggie plate! Rice pilaf, roasted cauliflower, eggplant and several more. The cauliflower was amazing! If you get a meat they have many but the tenderloin kabab ("beef kabab"") was a huge hit at my table. Cooked to perfection on the charcoal grill. Just fabulous. They've got shwarma, gyro sandwiches and even more delicious meats and the freshest vegetables. The pita bread is fresh from the oven- a steaming hot pillow of goodness. They have several types of canned and bottled drinks including yogurt drink and San Pelligrino, a couple of iced teas, lemonade and various fountain drink choices. No alcohol here. If you have never been, go and if you've been, go back because it's definitely worth the visit. It is a great place to enjoy tasty homemade Lebanese, Mediterranean and Greek food. Oh! One final note: the staff is friendly and welcoming. I felt so comfortable and relaxed because they really make you feel at home .

The salad was ok. The zucchini was loaded with cilantro. I hate cilantro. Very disappointed in that. My husband's food on the other hand was a big let down. He had Greek salad, zucchini, eggplant, lamb shank and curry chicken. Zucchini - he doesn't like cilantro either. The eggplant was too bitter to eat. The lamb shank was very tender but flavorless. The curry chicken was dry, despite being in a sauce and flavorless. And to add insult to injury both meats came with a hefty upcharge.

Located in Arlington, the restaurant is divided in 2 sections and the place has quite a casual and local vibe We, a party of 5 were immediately seated and the server aptly took our order. As we were famished, we ordered..a lot: -Mazza Plate -Falafel -Fries -Gyro Special Plate -2 Chicken Shawarma(Bank Special) plate (comes with Rice, Hummus, Tzatziki sauce and Pita) -Falafel Plate - Gyro Sandwich Dessert: -Baklava -Burma Since we love spicy, we asked for our food to be spiced up. 5-10 mins later, the food began to arrive. First impression was the portion size was huge. At the onset we knew we ordered too much. The Mazza plate was amazing with assortment of Middle-Eastern appetizers i.e. hummus, babaganoush, tabouli salad, dolmas, with kalamata olives and pita. We absolutely loved the dimas and the hummus and pita bread was fresh. The Shawarma plates were pretty decent and the chicken and gyro meats were well cooked and seasoned, however the spicy sauce they use was a bit more on the tangy side than on spicy side. Which was a let down. Falafels we crunchy and were pretty decent. The fries however were huge let down. They were too oily and the taste of overused oil was pretty evident. The best part for us were the desserts. The Baklava was great but the Burma blew us away. The roasted Cashes and angel hair with honey was truly delicious. To Foodies: This is quite a famous place for middle easter food, main reason being it was covered by The food network. Do try their Shawarma Plate , especially Gyro plate, it is pretty awesome. Also the quantity is good. However, I would recommend to stay away from fries or be careful of deep fried items. Do try the desserts, you'll fall in love. Overall, it is a good place but I have had much better. May be the standards have gone down a bit over the years. To Management: You have a wonderful staff, good location and the food is pretty decent..However I'd recommened to keep a check on your oil used for deep fried stuff. The fries were a huge let down. One bite and i frlt that bad taste of oil at the back of my throat. Also please revamp your spicy sauce a bit. Too much vinegar. Overall Rating: 6.5/10 Signing off Rahul V.S. aka CanIndian Foodie

Well I hope it is isolated and not because they are growing too fast. I'd give 3.5 stars for this visit if I could. There was more staff than I've ever seen before however things seemed a little chaotic. One waitress rushed by the counter and knocked straws all over the floor - she saw she did it and didn't stop or come back to pick them up - one of the guys picked them up when he went by. There was a table that was uncleared nearly our entire meal - and the plates still had some food on them which I thought was unusual (I'm used to seeing clean plates or to-go bags). Our waitress was chaotic - hyper, rushed, and distracted. Not giving normal Fattoush vibes. The hummus was delicious as usual. Beautiful, & velvety. Their hummus has become my standard for what it should be. The grape leaves were extremely tart - tasted like a mouth full of vinegar. I haven't ordered them in a while and am hoping this is not a recipe change. Finished one & couldn't eat any more. The garlic dip was tamed way down. Made me sad because I like the stronger garlic. Again, hoping this is a one-off. An owner at another local establishment had told me that many tame it down because of the American palate. I can understand needing to find that balance of staying authentic vs please customers but I'm going to need the secret password to get the real stuff! Lol. (But seriously - if you know it, please let me know!) After trying their burger awhile back, my Mom hasn't been able to order anything but that as her entree. It is great. Steak fries are same as straight up American steak fries and good. She said next time she'll get the sauce on the side because it was heavy handed this time and overpowered the delicious meat. Bun wasn't holding up as it usually does. The chicken shish tawook was good as always however I was missing the bite from garlic dip. I love their rice! They have great yellow rice too. My husband and I shared and had some to bring home for one lunch. I got a piece of Iraqi bread because I've never ordered it before- it was really good! Served warm and bigger than large dinner plate. On our way out, while we were checking out the beautiful patio and new area to come, we had a 5 STAR moment when we saw Chef Bashar. I asked him if he'd consider doing a borek appetizer sometime as we had a delicious cigar (bc it was rolled) borek at a place in Dallas. He was very open to the idea and said they will be having 2 different menus when the new concept opens and adding more vegetable options. He also noticed my husband looking at the Palastine Cola in the drink case and told him to take one home and try. I thought this was extremely nice and generous. I look forward to continuing to support this great local business and believe this night was just an off night. You can also follow them on instagram to watch them make dishes, see specials & restaurant updates.
