Salata is pricey, but normally I have a great experience when I go, however, not so much this time. This location does not have a private parking lot, so parking is definitely a challenge. Once I made it in my experience continued to go downhill. I have been to many stores, and it wasn't super busy, but for some reason the staff had a really hard time hearing what I wanted. Finally a Salata location in Arlington (North Arlington) I don't know why there are many more of these stores scattered throughout the metroplex! Concept is simple, chose your bowl size or wrap and customize to your liking. This location is brand new so it's very clean and welcoming. I'm a fairly simple/picky eater so I usually just go with romaine lettuce, baby spinach, spicy chicken, Caesar dressing, bacon crumbles, parm cheese, croutons, and a bread. This is what I got this time and it as excellently made and tasted great. I've been to other locations in Ft. Worth, Dallas, and Houston and this Arlington location is pretty much up to par with those. One thing unique about the Arlington location is the Tea Tap- 6 teas on tap (like beer style) ranging from unsweetened tea to lemonades, of course refillable. (Or a wrap) I decided to get a wrap w/ a "cool cucumber" tortilla and I was thoroughly satisfied :) I got to fill it with as much yummy stuff as I wanted and there was plenty to choose from! Tons of veggies and even fresh fruit options! Prices were decent enough, $7 for a small salad, $8 for a regular and $7 for a wrap. To add a protein is extra. I added falafel to my wrap and it was pretty good...a bit over cooked though which made it dry :( Other than that, everything else was good. I really liked the "Tea Tap" that had several teas and lemonades in tap to choose from. The ambiance of the restaurant was very plain though, could use some pictures on the walls or something. I get the small salad bowl and i eat off of that for at least two days. The staff is always pleasant to me every time I come here. You have a wide selection of options for your salad or wraps. I always get hung up on the dressing they are all very good, but my top pick is the Lemon Vinaigrette. With your salad you also have a bread option, I wills get the multigrain and I recommend it as well. There is more than enough parking at this location, however around lunch time you get a run for your money.. Let me start by saying, Salata is pretty good. When you walk in you immediately walk into a line (what you can typically expect around lunch time). This area is a bit crowed and depending on how long the line is you will need to hustle by people to get to the end of the line. For this reason, I have issues with the layout of the restaurant from a functional standpoint. Anyways, after walking in you can build your own salad or wrap. They have a large selection of FRESH, tasty ingredients to choose from. They also have an array of dressings and other items to dress your meal. The check out process is super easy. There is a lot of seating to choose from, however you may have a hard time getting a table if you come in around the lunch hours. They obviously have to-go options in case you cannot find a seat. As far as the food, the ingredients are fresh and the portions are fairly large! I still think it is very overpriced for what the actual meal consists of. There is nothing really special about it or extraordinary, if that makes sense. It's just a salad and a wrap. Do I recommend it? I mean sure, if you are OK with overpaying for a salad. Which I don't mind doing when I am feeling lazy and want something quick but still decent to eat. The employees are very friendly and helpful and the restaurant is always very clean and put together. But once you get the concept it's easy, you literally build a salad bowl in a metal mixing bowl. That's the fun part, it allows you to have room to mix it as you eat, because we all know how all of the topping either get eatten frist or settles to the bottom. They have 2 sizes large and small, they have a kids size as well, but like for my 9 year old the kids box was to small so he managed to eat 3/4ths of his small salad.
