I've been seeing Jani roughly every 3 weeks for almost a year and a half, and she's AMAZING. By about 9 or 10 months of work, I was comfortably laying flat! Jani is warm, professional, compassionate, kind, generous, and a truly excellent massage therapist with sky high standards on technique, quality, safety, and cleanliness. Jani welcomes all people to her practice, and as a fat queer woman I cannot tell you how important that is to me. She cares about her clients and pays exacting attention to detail, often noticing my discomfort before it even registers to me! Every session begins and ends with a check in on how your body is doing and what your goals are, and I always leave a session with a smile and deeper breathing. In fact, I just texted a friend: "Me after almost every massage: oh THIS is my actually range of motion in my neck? WILD" If you have a chance to get a massage at Spicewood Medical Massage, JUMP ON IT. You won't regret it.

I've been going to Regina for over 2 years and have had more massages than your average person, at least once a month and sometimes once a week. Regina is the best! She's great at accommodating my schedule especially for a last minute massage. Selfishishly, I hope this post doesn't fill up her schedule so much that that she can't fit me in. I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment, was greeted after 5 minutes of waiting by someone else. 3 minutes before my start time she walks up from behind the partition screen. In other words, she was there the entire time and didn't bother to greet me. The massage experience itself is worse. She starts by gulping her soda right by my ear, and I don't suffer from misophonia, but it was God awful. At this point, I'm super irritated by the disgusting sounds and then she plops down in her chair. Almost the entire rest of the massage she rolls around like a 1 year toddler who hasn't learned how to walk and gets around in their walker. I'm not certain about this but I feel like she was her phone half the time because she was nonchalantly massaging with just one hand. My 8 year old puts more effort and pressure.
