Ample appointments available, parking is easy (they validate!), and they have the kindest, most courteous staff ever! I really love the staff working in the front and I also really loved working with Dr. Lee. I've never worn contacts before and they made sure to teach me both how to put contacts in and how to remove them. When I was struggling to remove them during the training, they were so patient and encouraging--they even celebrated with me when I finally managed to take my contact out. 1000000000% recommend this optometry office. It's also in a really fun plaza with a Daiso, Odd One Out boba, and Hmart, so you can go shopping and eat after, too. Hehehe read more

In late September, I scheduled my first eye exam appointment and contact lens fitting at Masq Optometry. It is conveniently located on the 2nd floor at Madang on Wilshire/Western. I arrived a few minutes early for my appointment and Donna greeted me. I filled out a questionnaire form and by the designated appointment time, I met Dr. Yenna Lee. Dr. Lee is very kind, caring and transparent when it comes to explaining your eye health and eye prescription adjustments. I also presented my previous contact lens prescription from my previous optometrist and she kindly added it to my records. There is an additional fee for contact lens exam, but I kindly consented (and was within budget) since I needed it. They carry various contact lens brands, and I was recommended to use a new brand developed by Alcon Laboratories. The variant I chose was comfortable for my eyes, so I ordered a year's worth of lenses. I also requested a copy of my latest prescription, which they kindly provided for me. One week later, it was ready for pick up. So far, I really like my experience with Dr. Yenna Lee and the kind staff at Masq Optometry. read more

I rarely leave reviews but I feel so compelled to tell the world that I had such a wonderful experience here!! I was in need of a new optometrist and a place to get new glasses + contacts. This place is covered by my insurance and has great reviews, so I decided to check them out and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The entire staff was lovely. My doctor was so kind and personable and the employee who helped me pick out frames was so patient and helpful. I am very indecisive and he didn't seem to mind me trying so many different pairs of glasses on. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They have many selections for frames that are suited for Asian clients, though I did bring a pair I already had for them to switch out the lenses. The office is very spacious, clean, and quiet. It's located in Madang Plaza which is also filled with great shops and restaurants to spend your day at. The equipment for the eye exam is cutting edge. Instead of an eye dilation, they offered a service where they could take a picture of my eyes instead. The service is efficient, they located my files quickly upon arrival and didn't waste time looking for random things and delaying my appointment. Thanks for a great experience! read more

Got my third pair of Lindberg here at MASQ Optometry. They completed my glasses super fast in7 business days, which normally for the previous place that I got my Lindberg from it's more than two weeks to wait for my glasses to be done. I have a complicated eye condition that no optometrist had been able to fully address--until now! Got a very thorough test and she even made a pair of test frames to make sure the lenses would work for me! The frames are great too: sturdy, well-fit, and they were half off too! Nicest and most welcoming guy. Buying glasses from here was a pleasant experience. One year later, my pair from here had a small piece that got bent out of shape - definitely my own fault. Told me my insurance will send me a check after i pay out of pocket. So i ended up spending $600 for two pairs of glasses thinking this will get covered. Received $55 from the insurance company. Called this place to say what's up, but of course, this place is telling me to call the insurance company. Dont tell people that insurance will cover when you really dont know. read more

I bought a new nearsighted glassess here. I received my new glassess via mail since I reside outside Los Angeles region. When I received and tried on the glassess, I was not able to see clearly on it and it made my vision blurry. Additionally, eye glassess quality was very poor that seemed a different product from origninally I ordered in the store. I spoke with a staff over the phone and asked a refund since the glassess were useless for me. However, my request was denied by this optometry store. When I disput with my credit card company to get a refund about this purchase, this store didn't accept by saying it was a final sale. read more

I love checking out local mom & pop shops....and this eyeglass/optometrist shop is one of them! It's located in a corner of the MaDang plaza (one of my fave plazas in KTown btw), and they offer validated parking up to 4 hours! I stopped by a few times before making a final decision, and not once did the folks here push me into buying anything nor did they hover over me suspiciously (I absolutely hate it when shops do that). They were extremely patient and allowed me to try as many pairs as I wanted and even cleaned my boyfriend's glasses while we were there! I have a super flat nose and finding "Asian fit" glasses has always been a struggle. I also prefer thin frames, but my VERY HIGH prescription makes it difficult. Fortunately they have a bunch of different designs and brands. They're also super helpful & honest. I really liked a high-end pair of frames and instead of convincing me to buy them, they suggested other (more affordable) pairs because that particular one didn't fit my face very well (the rims hit my cheeks whenever I smiled + it didn't have a low nose bridge). I ended up getting a super cute pair of Tiffany eyeglasses. It only took about 3 days before they were ready. I've had them for almost a month already and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM. I've gotten so many compliments! They fit super well, and I have not gotten any headaches since wearing them almost every day. The prices here are very reasonable. However I don't believe they take insurance. Overall I'm super pleased with my experience and glad that I gave this shop a try. Here's to hoping they get more clients!!! read more

The price is good, if you have a problem with keeping your glasses safe like me (I broke two glasses and my ex-glasses were very scrached), you can just pick $29 frame for good. The staff is also kind and fast. If you want to think about weating eyeglasses first time in your life, they will give you a good priced eyeglasses for try. read more

I randomly heard about this place and saw that they were having a 50% off glasses sale going on for the grand opening promotion. I was on a search for new glasses so I decided to check this place out. Upon entering, I was welcomed by two workers and tried on some glasses. I assumed that the glasses on sale would be ugly or very cheap looking, but they were good quality and there were a lot to choose from. I finally picked out the exact glasses I was looking for and went to get my eyes checked. The time spent with the optometrist was very uncomfortable and awkward. She seemed very tired and it honestly seemed like she just wanted to get over with the procedure. I was told the glasses would be ready in about 40 minutes to an hour, so I just walked around the plaza and my glasses were ready in about 45 minutes. When I tried them on, they were a bit blurry but they said it's because they were new. I felt something wasn't right but I just went home with them anyways. However the entire week with my new glasses on, they were still blurry and I actually saw better with them off. I checked my previous prescription with the one I got here and realized they were way off. I went back the following week and told them the situation and turns out my prescription was wrong and they adjusted it, no apology or anything. I feel like the optometrist wasn't thorough and was careless. I live in the OC area so it was definitely a hassle to come back and get my glasses fixed. As I was leaving, one of the worker said, "come back if there's another problem" ....but there shouldn't be another problem.. why are you guys not certain.. makes you guys look unprofessional.. Anyways I love my new glasses, the selection of glasses, and the service from the two men, but I wouldn't recommend getting your eyes checked here :/ read more

This optometry place is great. Workers there are very welcoming and nice, and you can tell they're very attentive to any patient who comes in. They were really upfront with me with what I needed, and gave me practical tips on what to purchase to aid my bad vision. I can also tell they were really working to help people, rather than just treating this as a job. This is probably one of the best optometry places I gone to so far. Definitely recommend! read more

I personally own at least 5-6 frames now and can attest it's a much better choice than going to your run of the mill mall optometrist. They have jewelry, ties, watches, and a treasure trove of other accessories if you're looking for a gift or a little something for yourself. It's also a great place to hang out as well with a rotating cast of colorful neighborhood characters and the like.

Their technician, Anthony was the one who helped conduct my exam. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and approachable. Unlike other places where I've had my eyes checked, I felt like JINS did a really thorough job of testing not only my vision, but also my depth perception, color deficiency, and peripheral vision. The last time I had my eyes checked at a different optometry place, I had to wait for over an hour even though I showed up on time. As I waited around, no one came to check in on me or apologize for the long wait. When it was finally my turn, my test was no longer than 5 minutes and I was told my vision hadn't changed. At JINS, I showed up on time and they took me in at the exact time my appointment was scheduled. I shared that I was uncomfortable with the puff-of-air test, but thank god they didn't have that machine and Anthony was able to measure my eye pressure using a different method. I also shared that I get nervous with things being so close to my eyes/face, so Anthony walked me through everything he was doing which helped ease my nerves. Keep in mind that the actual vision test was done through telemedicine, so the doctor wasn't physically on site. I was a little skeptical at first, but the Zoom call was high quality and I could hear the doctor clearly. It was so cool that she was able to conduct the exam remotely. She took the time to show me the pictures they took of my eyes and explain what I was looking at and why my eyes were healthy. It really is a comprehensive exam like they say it is! The whole process was surprisingly seamless and convenient, and I never felt like the telemedicine aspect took away from the quality of the exam. Afterwards, I asked Kelsey to help me pick out a new pair of glasses. She's helped style me in the past, and I've always been really happy with the frames she picks out for me. She was wearing these super cool Barbie glasses with rose pink lenses. She's such a fashion icon, so of course I always ask her to style me! She asked me how things were going, and I told her about how I couldn't work the last two days because of a migraine. She told me that she's spoken with customers who have had issues with migraines before and how wearing pink-tinted lenses helps with it. She let me try on pink demo lenses and they really did feel so much more comfortable to look through. I normally wear transition glasses because my eyes are so sensitive to light, and now I feel like I have an option to wear indoors as well for when my eyes feel strained! So now I needed help finding a pair of glasses that would also look good with pink lenses. She remembered that I'm a huge anime fan and she pulled out these really dope Naruto frames from the back and I was like yes these are the ones!! Anthony helped me out at checkout and the process was so seamless. I do have to wait 2-3 weeks for my pink glasses to come in but that time goes by fast and they text you when it's ready for pickup or shipping. And of course I don't want to forget the other service specialists that have helped me in the past. They're always so friendly and honest about what you actually need. I never feel like they're trying to upsell me or push products just to make a sale. Even though they're out of network for insurance, their glasses are incredibly affordable and I never feel like I'm breaking the bank trying to get a pair of glasses. They remember me from the last few times I came in to try on their collaboration glasses, and that always makes me feel welcomed and special. I actually wrote a review when I got my first pair of Snoopy glasses from JINS, and I've been back a few times since then. I want to highlight how consistent the staff and service is. The customer service is always great, and the staff genuinely makes the whole getting glasses experience enjoyable. If you have a pair of JINS glasses, they offer free adjustments, cleanings, and nose pad replacements. They're always dropping new styles and the glasses are all so lightweight and fashionable. I hated wearing glasses in the past, but now they're a staple in my closet that also allows me to see! JINS is the GOAT!

I live an hour and a half away, so this wasn't a quick trip. During my second visit, another employee took my measurements and told me everything was good. When I got my glasses in the mail, I realized they had never recorded the measurement I came back to give them. It finally made sense why Kim had texted me after my second visit saying I needed to come back, even though I had already been there. Because that measurement was never entered correctly, my glasses were made wrong. Everything was blurry, and wearing them made me dizzy. I even messaged Kim to ask if the measurement on my receipt was correct, and she told me it was. It wasn't. So I had to make a third trip back to the store. Valerie made the situation even more frustrating. She changed the measurement right in front of me but kept saying it had been correct the whole time. Then she pulled up my old measurements from the Del Amo location, where I had bought the exact same glasses before, crossed out the incorrect number on my receipt, and tried to print me a new one with the corrected measurements like that was supposed to fix everything. It didn't change the fact that I had already made three extra trips because of mistakes on their end. I understand that mistakes happen, but the lack of communication between employees, the repeated errors, and the way everything was handled made this a really disappointing experience.
