I purchased my glasses March of 2025 with all bells and whistles. In less than a year the protective coating on the lens started deteriorating. It got to the point where I couldn't see clearly. I went to the store today and they said yup it's not clear and the coating is deteriorated....and if you want new lens it will be $250.00. I had done two glasses at the same time and only one was going bad so it had to be manufacturing defect. Shop didn't give a shit. Bad service...No warranty at all. read more

I was going to France Vision for over a decade and twice I decided not to make the drive out and try places nearby. Big mistake!! Both of the other two Optometry offices received a bad review from me. France Vision on the other hand has always been solid. They took a look over my insurance, which doesn't offer a Vision plan apparently, but they figured out how to bill as medical, and it did offer $200 for frames. Free exam. The place I went to on the Westside said no Vision coverage so total would be $550. I walked out of France Vision paying $50 which was co-pay. Advice, call and make an appointment, not necessary, but helps speed things along. Overall, I learned my lesson, stick with what worked for over a decade. read more

My husband and his family have been coming here for years and years. This past weekend, we were helped by Brian. He was so great with helping us understand our eye insurance and what it covers. Large selection of glasses all ranges in price, style, color! Brian went out of his way to adjust my husbands glasses to fit comfortably on his face and center it accordingly. Dr Linda is the BEST optometrist in LA - possibly the world! She spotted a dangerous condition in my eye before my ophthalmologist...twice! The shop itself stocks a huge inventory of frames from all the best designers. And the staff has a great eye for what looks good on your face so picking the perfect pair of glasses is quick & easy. I went there for my yearly exam as a new patient with insurance. They informed me that my insurance barely covered anything and I would be better off by taking advantage of their special offer. I don't need prescription glasses but glasses to protect my eyes from the monitors I use for work. Their special offer included free eye exam and % off of the eye wear. The frames were non name brand. And I will emphasize non name brand with no prescription. My total came out to be over $400. WTF! My coworker referred me to her optometrist since we have the same insurance. I went for my next yearly exam and I needed another computer glasses with no prescription. I picked a Tiffany's frame this time. I paid my deductible for my eye exam and my insurance did cover some of my eye wear. This time I only paid $260. France Vision Optometry are scammers. They claim their patient's insurance barely covers anything so you can spend more money out of pocket. This is a freaking disgrace especially for Korean business owner. Please take my advice and take your business elsewhere where, unless you don't mind spending a lot of unnecessary money. read more

I've had many experiences at France Vision & I've always left a happy customer! Dr. Lee is literally so sweet & professional -- she's my main reason for returning time after time. One day I had really bad eye pain and then all of a sudden my vision got blurry and I couldn't see. I was freaking out & wanted to see an eye doctor right away. I called about every optometrist in LA and no one would take walks in. Then we got ahold of France Vision & they told me I could come in for a walk in. Dr. Lee took such good care of me and was so attentive. She explained that I had scratched my cornea so I needed to take a break from contacts and switch to my glasses. She was very easy to talk to and I left feeling so much better. Ever since that visit I've always come back to France Vision. Recently their selection of glasses has gotten better, but they could have a little more updated selection. The turnaround time for any order is pretty fast, usually a week. They also let you leave with a sample pair of contacts which is very generous. It's never busy or loud in here which I really appreciate. It's just a good ole' fashioned mom-n-pop and I really love it for that. It's simple and easy to do business with them. They also accept VSP Insurance yay! The worst thing about France Vision is the parking unfortunately. It's in Koreatown and parking can be hard to come by. You can do street parking in front or surrounding neighborhoods -- just make sure you read all the posted signs so you don't get a ticket or get your car towed. The usual LA stuff ya know lol. I have been here for myself a couple years ago. Great service and eye wear selection. So my kid said he started having trouble seeing so i brought him here. I was thinking of taking him to costco, but the selection here is much better and prices not that much more. They took great care of my kid and made sure he had the right glasses and prescription. Dr. Linda Lee and team is the reason I came back to this biz even though I live in OC now. The most appalling thing happened one morning where my contact lens went missing. My three year old said there were blue things in the case so he threw it in the sink and washed it out. The appalling part is that I couldn't be mad at a kid who didn't know; my fault for leaving it out. With no backup, old glasses that aren't even DMV approved to drive, Dr, Lee and team were my heroes. Brought my Tom Ford sunglasses here for repair since the nose pads had fallen off. Noticed they had a wide selection of designer glasses and sunglasses. The kind lady behind the counter brought my sunglasses to the technician who was able to replace the nose pads and tighten the sides. Apparently Tom Ford sunglasses have a very specific nose pad that can only be replaced with the original. Although I didn't purchase the sunglasses from this store, they gave me the repair for free! and a cleaning cloth to go along with it. Would definitely recommend for service! read more

Fast, cheap, and great customer service. I wanted matte, square and big framed glasses. They found what I wanted/needed in about 10 minutes. Did check up and walked out within less than an hour of coming in. Highly recommend, especially if you need your glasses within a day. This place is horrible. I came in for a new pair of glasses because mine broke on the side. The guy who helped me is a push over. I was going for glasses that were a reasonable price because I mainly wear contacts but this guy kept shoving $300-$400 glasses in my face. I was asking my mom for advice if it had fit me and he kept saying that my mom is old and didn't know latest trends when he is old himself. In the end, the guy fixed my old pair so I was thinking about just replacing the lens since there is no need to buy new frames. But he cut me off and spoke to me in an annoyed tone. I've been going to France Vision every year for the last 8+ years. The optometrist is the daughter of the owner, and both are very friendly and professional. I agree with the other yelper, parking is a hassle since they share a tiny parking lot with several stores. The have a huge selection of eyeglasses and sunglasses and a lot of them are mid- to high-price range, but they are willing negotiate. Most the salespeople have been working there for many years, and they're known for their customer service. When they give you suggestions for the frames or contacts, sometimes they're on the high side, but if you ask them for more affordable options, they don't mind. If you have prescription glasses, you usually get them the same day. If they have to order contacts for you or they're backlogged, they usually have your order ready in a few days. read more

I visited France Vision with my friend who is a regular there. Since it was about two years from my last eye exam, I decided to get one there and found my prescription changed. I was promised a good discount if I bought my frames and lenses with my friend. The selection of frames was OK, and I managed to find one that looked good on me. I chose lenses with transitions and anti glare. As promised, I did get a good deal for my glasses. Overall, my experience was good. The one minus was that glasses were not ready by the promised day and I had to wait 3 more days. read more

I had been visiting several stores to try on oliver peoples and Barton perreira eyeglasses. Of all the stores, France vision offered the lowest price to me despite the fact I did not have eye insurance. I was impressed by the positive treatment I received from the sales person and the fact that they carried many models and colors these two brands was pretty convenient. I was able to compare all the previous styles I had tried side by side which helped me make my final decision. One note of warning is that I am a Korean-American male so that may have had a impact on the way I was treated by the store. However, I do not speak any Korean and despite this, the employees were very accommodating and offered a fair price on a pair of high end glasses. I will be sure to follow up with them for future eye exams and will follow up on this review if there are any issues with my frames or lenses. read more

France Vision is on Olympic right next to the Young King Chinese Restaurant. Parking is a beeeeyotch though. (Street parking is recommended.) Hudson is usually the sales guy that helps us out. I usually get contacts (for the year) and glasses. France Vision will try to sell you a new frame every single year. I refuse. They're very nice though. A bit pushy sometimes but as long as you're firm with them, they'll back off. The optometrist is Dr. Linda Lee. She's great. English only though for those of you who prefer Korean. read more

France Vision is possibly the worst place to get your glasses. My daughter bought glasses at France last year and it has not been a year yet but she is having problems with it already. She added special coating on the lenses but the coating has started to peel off and she was charged twice for her glasses. France Vision charged her around $350 and they charged her vision insurance for the same exact amount. They even placed a hold on her insurance information, so other places couldn't access her coverages. Eventually, she had no choice but to buy her glasses at France because she didn't have the time to go back to other places. NEVER BUY ANYTHING AT FRANCE VISION!!!
