really reasonable prices and efficient. $50 eye exam only, as of date. the optometrist is only there Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, but I was able to get in relatively quickly on a Saturday. with my low prescription glasses, they were able to turn around my lenses in about 10-15 minutes. I went to run an errand and they even brought out my new lenses to the curb so I didn't need to look for parking or stop really. doctor was to the point yet thorough and seemed good at what she does. the clerk was nice and good at his job as well. hole in the wall optometrist and glass shop that I'm very happy to have found. Right next to hms bounty which I've always passed by but glad I found on Yelp and tried them out. I got 3 pairs of glasses done here. I went there looking for an adjustment in my sunglasses, they felt a little lose. He damaged them while checking if he could separe the frame from the lenses. The lovely optometrist yelled at me cause I was thinking too much about which lens would be best for me. 10/10 though, she made my day. She genuinely got me through the process of getting glasses that worked. I walked in with a smile and felt sort of dehumanized though. My eye exam was scheduled one week ahead. When I showed up today, the temporary worker said the doctor (also the owner) was on her 2 week VACATION to Korea!! The person who took my aptmt (Kenny) also came with her. They asked the temp worker a few weeks ago to watch the store for them. He said he was clueless about the scheduling. I wanted to believe that maybe it was a genuine mistake or the trip was unexpected. But no, their vacation trip was planned a few weeks ahead. Even if Kenny somehow forgot about the trip, they still had a week to call or let me know about rescheduling. Yet I received NOTHING from them about the cancellation. What a great way to waste your customer's time! @Yelp: Pls add an option for zero star or something similar, because I received no service from them. I loved this experience. It is a beautiful shop, the examination room is large and Comfortable. The optometrist was so competent and quirky in a good way. I needed glasses in a hurry. The examination experience was first rate. Because I needed the glasses for a particular purpose I did not want to invest too much into this . But I am picky by nature. Had an appointment with prepproval for a new prescription from my insurance which I was told they needed to call and verify and I was told by the lady who I assume is an owner "I'm not going to do that." Dr Erin and Dr. Charlie are both friendly, professional and accommodating people! The service at this place is beyond AMAZING! My friend walked in, waited for 20 mins, (as promised by Erin because she was with another client) got her eye exam and then proceed to execute the glasses she brought in to fit the lenses. Typically, some places would take a week to get the lenses done. But this place gets it done within 10-20 mins!! The price point is amazing too!! They also have a great selection of eye wear! It turns out I didn't need rose-tinted glasses to make my world looker better. All I needed was new glasses. Thanks to Dr. Erin Han and optician Charlie Choi at Eye Max Optometry, I'm now seeing things in HD. Who knew I was missing so much with my old spectacles? I've worn glasses since I was a kid and been to lots of more hi-tech and fancy places than Eye Max, but none of them had the Erin/Charlie combination of knowledge, patience, customer service, and, more importantly, concern for my eyesight. I don't know if I've been a "fan" of an optometrist ... until now. When it comes to eyewear for me, it is function first and fashion second (or fourth). Can I see better? Does it fit right? Am I comfortable? Ok, then how's it look? I'm a guy. It's who we are. Price isn't a big concern for me when it comes to eyeglasses. I'll pay for the lightest, thinnest, and clearest options available. Luckily, at this small store in the heart of Koreatown, I didn't have to skimp on looks to get glasses that are better. Huge thanks to Dr. Han who really took time to get the glasses that were unique to me and how I look at things. So many great reviews (60+) and only 2 bad reviews, curious!!! I went there because of the 5 star reviews but my experience was closer to the 2 star reviews. I gave the receptionist my Aetna card and she said there was a co-payment of $75, I disagreed, I know this policy and there is no co-pay, but a $275 limit. I called Aetna in front of the receptionist and was told there was no-copayment, the receptionist asked to talk to the Aetna rep and was told there was no co-pay. They argued and I took my medical card back, as I left I said, "I have been using this policy for 5 years without a copay and the receptionist said, "I've been doing it for 4 years with a co-pay." I'm not going to jump to conclusions, but I wonder what the 60+ positive reviewers would say if they knew they didn't need to have made a co-payment. Just saying... read more

Amazing!!! Service, I had called another office that offered one hr service and was quoted a price for new lenses. When I got their I was told it was going to be two time more then I was quoted. I drove all the way from ventura but I remember eye max offering the same service. So I gave them a call and was told that yes they had me lenses in stock and gave me a quote. I got their and the Dr was so nice and amazing. She took my glasses gave them to her lab tech and in 15 minuets new glasses, one word WOW I will never go anywhere now. They have won my business. My 9yr old daughter was skeptical about her glasses and the employees took their time helping her understand how important they were. I am also very picky and meticulous about my frames and they are always so kind and patient. Answer any and all questions. All of my frames and lenses are still good after years of wear! They just don't make them like they used to! Oh dear, it seems they no longer make the lenses for you right there. I took my grandson here because he broke a lens while playing his video game and needed it fixed in a jiffy! They still sent away for his new glasses, which took a week like any other place. That's too bad. Then, to add a snake to the rooster house, when we came back to pick them up, we found out they don't open until 1:30pm on Wednesday. That's not what Yelp has written down! I needed new contacts and I haven't done an eye exam in years so I figured why not. I experienced some discomfort in my left eye so I talked to her about that and she gave me advice and put in a few special eye drops. Such great care and service. Yes yes yes! Attention all blind mice! This is your go-to eye-care-shop! I stumbled across Eye Max while eagerly yelping around for an eye exam that was cheap and fast because i broke my glasses months ago and its been a constant struggle to get a new pair with my busy schedule. I made a same day appointment at Eye Max with the Dr. (just moments before closing) and she was a blessing! The eye exam was $40 and she informed me that they have a special - i could walk out with a new pair of glasses and the prescription for just $100!!! HELL YES. My total for the exam and glasses $100!! That is unheard of. I went with the special deal and within 15 minutes i was on my way with my new glasses. Seriously it was so quick! (I parked in a loading zone with my blinkers on... And came back to my car with NO ticket. Now you tell me thats not fast!) I'll definitely be back for a contact lens prescription shortly. Today was the first time I went to Eye Max Optometry and the people here definitely offer EXCELLENT customer service...i'm very happy. The right handle of my glasses recently broke off so I needed a new pair of glasses ASAP. I went to the optometry store where I bought my old glasses in 2012, but they informed me that they would need to ship my glasses to the lab and it will take a week to fix my glasses. This was a NO NO for me since I depend on my glasses to see(Been wearing glasses since I was 16yrs. old). So I left the Optometry store and I checked out Yelped on my droid phone to see other Optometry stores near my home that had pretty good reviews. Eye Max Optometry had pretty good reviews so I called the place. The nice lady on the phone told me they were open and that I can come ASAP since they weren't busy at all. So I got to Eye Max Optometry and the place was bigger that I thought. I expected a small store but upon arriving, the store was actually a decent sized store. This Optometry store is AMAZING. I was kindly greeted when I walked in and they immediately offered to helped me out upon entering the store. I was amazed how they have LOTS and LOTS of glasses frame selections at AFFORDABLE price. The doctor made me fill out a info sheet and then shortly after, my eye exam was performed. Afterwards, I picked out the frame that I wanted and it only took about 10 - 15min to get my glasses all prep up and ready to go. I paid for the service/glasses and I was on my way in less than an hour...WOW!!! In addition, the cost of everything was definitely CHEAPER than Lens Crafters and other Optometry places i've been to before. Thank you Dr. Han and Charlie Choi for the EXCELLENT customer service. I lost my glasses and this optometry has my eye test record. When I asked about the price and optometry in details, she was very very unkind. She just answered short (closed) type answer. Especially, she looked like very uncomfortable to answer the pricing questions.... And I was heard I have astigmatism and myopia when I was in high school in different optometry. So I asked her "I have astigmatism, right?" She bluntly answered "You have myopia." I knew I have myopia.....So I was confused if I have astigmatism or not.... I was trying to keep my temper under control. Right before I made my decision, I told her.
