They've always been happy to do glasses adjustment for free, and really helped out when I bought what seems to be a frame with a design defect (they broke 3 times in the same place when I was using it normally and didn't drop or sit on them or anything like that-- most recebtly within a week of replacement). They went out of their way to make it right. I've found they've made a real effort to help me figure out what best suits my needs (transitions, lens type, etc), rather than what might make them the most profit-- which is sadly pretty rare nowadays. I highly recommend them!

I trusted Dr. Lee so much for her honesty and thoroughness that I stayed with this clinic for years, even though I knew their prices were higher than other places. However, I recently realized how much I was overcharged by the store manager. My daughter's vision insurance allows us to apply the frame allowance toward contact lenses if we don't buy frames, making the contact lenses much cheaper. Yet, the store manager told me contacts were not covered at all and charged me full price out-of-pocket. Furthermore, our insurance actually covers high-index (compressed) lenses, but the manager lied, claiming high-index lenses weren't covered, and made me pay around 3-400 every time. I admit it was my mistake for not fully checking our insurance policy beforehand. But as a long-term, loyal patient, I expected honesty at the very least. Today, I went to the UCI Health Optometry Clinic, used our insurance properly, and saved a lot of money. While I still deeply respect Dr. Lee, the way the store manager runs the business is completely unacceptable. I am beyond disappointed.

But, the staff was the plot twist I didn't know my vision tune-up appt needed. Dr. Mina was very thorough, professional, and informative. She took the time to explain my different contact lens brands and answered my questions without making anything feel rushed or overly clinical. She also gets bragging rights for pronouncing my name correctly. Now, this is the part where I shamelessly hype up the staff. Gabby and Sandy were absolute GEMS. Gabby took one look at my face and unlocked my eyewear algorithm, started pulling out winners, and I found myself a personal eyewear stylist. She was able to juggle other customers while still making me feel like a priority. Eyewear sorcery? Super power? The Avengers could never. And then there was Sandy, who was equally amazing. I mean seriously, where are y'all finding these people? I was given the full lens breakdown without the pressure to upgrade. She knew the lens science + I knew which one made things less blurry = Vision Restored. Been getting eye-exams for decades and never had my eyeballs feel this famous. Thank you, ladies! All jokes aside, it was a visit worthy of a lengthy Yelp review.
