I really wanted to like this place. It's close to home, menu looks good online, great reviews. Ahhh but it was a total let down. Pros: 1.Good decor 2. Ample parking. 3. Strong drinks 4. Burgers are decent Cons: 1. Smells like cheap floor cleaner 2. Tables felt sticky 3. Menus were sticky and I didn't want to touch them 4. I got the bowl with the quinoa and I thought it tasted funny. But I figured it was a new type of dressing. Took a few more bites and I was like nope, can't do it. Had someone else try it and they instantly said it was SPOILED!!!! They served me super rotten food. The lights are low in there. I'm not able to see it well. I was so absolutely insulted. Like I know the chef saw that and said, "nah they won't notice, send it out anyway. ". Why would you do that?!! These people don't give a damn. That's why the restaurant was empty on a Sunday. Overall it was pretty good. Some of the flavors didn't quite match like the sweet relish in the queso -- yuck! But the fried chicken and busicuts were good and the meatloaf was my personal favorite. I was disappointed the mango tea was not flavorful at all, didn't taste like fruit or tea kinda just like some essence of a diluted drink. Ok so the food here is excellent and worthy of a 5 star in itself. However, I'm not a huge fan of the atmosphere. The restaurant and its patrons give off a pretentious vibe, similar to what you would find in a brunch restaurant in one of the upper class LA communities. There were also a few obnoxiously drunk people there at noon time on a Saturday... I decided to give this 4 stars because I very much enjoyed my meal and thought everything was great! I absolutely love coming to this place whether it's for happy hour (which is 3 to 6 Monday through Thursday) or brunch (which is all day Sunday until three). For happy hour I love getting the knockout punch and for brunch I love getting the two dollar mimosas ! For brunch we got the omelette which slapped !!! And the french toast sandwich. Both were served with potatoes. They came out cold however we still ate them. We asked our server to bring us some ketchup to eat with them. However she seemed really annoyed and brought us some that was clearly already used. It had smears of ketchup all over the container, so we asked for another one which came out very clean. She seemed really annoyed with us and wanted us to leave. She brought out the check right when we finished our meal and did not even ask if we wanted more mimosas. We did so we told her we wanted a couple more. We got an eye roll at that point. However I have never seen this waitress here before. She probably will not last long. Update********Sarah from Mash'd reached out and did two things. She apologized for the service issue and invited me back and she let me know that the Pot o' Goat that I adore is actually a discontinued dish, which absolutely explains why no one seemed to know how to make it. Apparently they still make it by request, so no one told me these past couple of months that it was discontinued lol. I'll miss it as it was a dish that I couldn't get anyplace else, but those wings y'all....those are what sexy dreams are made of! Stopped in for a quick bite before class. I thought about getting rocked out drunk before class but ultimately decided it was probably not a good idea to get belligerently drunk before a quiz. Turns out the outcome would probably have been the same as if I'd been lit out of my mind, so my bad. I do think every restaurant should have a pressure test that involves a person eating alone (yeah...I'm that person. Don't pity me. I don't have to share crap this way.) and it needs to be dreadfully slow. I say this because service typically craps out when you are just one lard ass and it's 2 in the afternoon. This was most definitely the case at Mash'd yesterday. I ordered a dish that isn't on the lunch menu. Why I don't know....it's on the dinner menu and it's an appetizer called Pot o' Goat. It's my last meal request but yesterday I really thought that dish should be put out of its misery. All it is is creamy goat cheese topped with a raspberry jam. It comes in a cute cast iron cauldron because typically (when done right) it arrives bubbling. Yesterday I ordered it and it took 22 minutes to get it. My server was working a bigger table outside so that bubbly goodness died in the window. It arrived cool and not hot and while it still looked bomb, it tasted blah. I asked for it to be reheated and it took 12 minutes to do it. It still arrived lukewarm. I felt like going back there and tossing it in a microwave but felt like that would be unpatron like. The saving grace here are the wings. You can get them a lot of different ways and I chose siracha ones. They arrived super crispy and very lightly covered in a sauce that had zero kick, but still; these are some of the best wings I've had. Service needs to step up but I will of course be back to make love to those wings. read more

Mash'D has been in my bookmarks for quite some time now. We finally decided to give it a try one Sunday and to be honest, the pictures look better then it taste. Don't get me wrong, the food was satisfying and tasty, but compared to the pictures and the name of the dish from the menu, my expectations were definitely set too high. I wouldn't blame the restaurant, but more from us just not ordering right. We ordered the hotdogs, chicken tacos, mash'd tater eggplosion, and chicken and biscuits. The quality of the hotdog was just your classic hotdog, however the chili on the dogs was amazing. A pretty meaty meal of course, The tater tots had absolutely not one single tater tot to be seen. It was just a plate of loaded mashed potatoes, which is never bad, but very heavy as an entree. Overall, I would say it's worth trying at least once. Learn from my review about the food and you could possibly have a 5 star experience if your ordered the right food. read more

Y'all let me tell you. I was born and raised in Virginia so I know so good shine when I had it and this place has it. Now granted it's not the real stuff I'm used to coming from a sketch looking guy in overalls but was for sure good. The menu selection was awesome and everyone enjoyed their food. I was with five other people and no one left unsatisfied that night. I got the burger, my friend got the chicken and biscuits, another got the ribs, and someone got the tacos. (I forget what the other person got). They all looked great and I was able to try the chicken and biscuits. It was a little on the salty side but still good. The burger I ordered was perfect and they have some amazing fries. A suggestion for those of y'all in a party. You can play something called shot roulette there. Basically tell your server how many shots you want and they will pick them out and randomly assign it. We did it and it was fun to see everyone try to guess until the check came and confirmed it. Their mixed drinks and some of the best out there. That knockout punch was awesome and I can see why they will only serve two to one guest. Also they have two happy hours. So even if you are going for a late night dinner you will still enjoy the happy hour prices until close. I can't tell you how much I loved it and that you should really go check it out! Drinks and apps are quick and light, the hot honey that comes with the fried pepperoni is so good! This last time I grabbed the chicken and biscuits, the flavors were all there but the biscuits were pretty dry, the sauce made up for it though. Siracusa Garlic butter wings were soooooo good! The flavor was hitting. They were a great size and came freshly cooked. It was a total of 6 wings for $10. Worth the extra on your bill! Chicken and biscuits $15.49 is my favorite. lol literally get it every time I go. It's not your average chicken and biscuits at all. Very filling. I love their "gravy sauce. We've been here many times and always leave satisfied. They have a great patio with plenty of open spacing, lots of greenery, misting fans, heaters, and huge table umbrellas. Can't go wrong with the fried chicken sandwich. I opt for hot sauce and add coleslaw to make it Nashville style. They have bbq, buffalo and several other options. Their fries are an upscale shoestring style which I'm not typically a fan of, but these are good. My wife gets the knockout punch a lot of the time but it packs a punch. They have beer on tap and bottled too. Then many other drinks that are pretty good. I can say I have never had a bad meal here. Really cool bar and a must try! I went out here with a girlfriend to meet up for drinks during the day. Since it was during the week and a little early for happy hour the place wasn't very busy. The set up inside is really cool but it was nice out so we sat on the patio. I ordered the jolly rancher and it was so cute, they bring the drinks in a mason jar and open them in front of you. The menu is amazing and I ordered the turkey burger. Our waitress was really sweet and kept coming by even once the place got packed for happy hour. She made great recommendations on drinks and the food. The food was excellent and we ordered a couple more drinks. (There is one that is a two drink limit). I came here at the recommendation of a friend-thanks Heather! She said they had the best craft beer and really good moonshine although I will have to take her word for it since I just had water tonight. I found my entire experience to be extremely positive from the service to the food to the ambience. Lauren was our server and she was friendly and even asked if we planned on eating dinner or just having drinks so she knew how to best meet our needs. I appreciated that she took the time upfront to ask that and then check in with us accordingly. I ordered the turkey burger and fries. Holy kittens was it good! The flavor was amazing-seriously, I'd eat that turkey burger over a regular beef patty any day. And whatever seasoning they put on the fries I would buy in bulk if I knew what it was. I've been wanting to try this place for a while! The blueberry mojito was my favorite drink, which was actually my friend's drink. I tried the pineapple bomb and organic berry smash, and the berry drink was a little too sweet for me. I loved the wedge salad! The lettuce was very fresh and crisp and the bacon and croutons gave it a delicious crunch. They do have a gluten free menu for those who are interested!! I have lived in Frisco for a while now and just gave this place a try. I am honestly upset I have not been here sooner because of how amazing it was! We arrived around 8:15 pm on a Friday and were greeted and sat promptly even though it was pretty busy. Our server Caroline was so sweet and attentive. Caroline made sure we had everything we needed and was super quick. Now the food was absolutely amazing. I had the Outlaw Burger but substituted the impossible patty with the side of fries. The burger was good and the garlic aioli is what made it special. Now the real show stopper was the fries and the house made ketchup. I love shoestring fries and these were great with the seasoning. The ketchup though is what made the fries even better. You can tell it's made fresh and I would go here again solely just for the ketchup and fries. My friends had the wings with the tx hot honey sauce and they said that it was the best wing sauce they've ever had and would most definitely do the 12 count next time instead of the 6. My friends also had the Caesar salad and added chicken to it and they liked it as well, but in the end it was just a salad and nothing to brag too much about. We decided on this place after deciding against a restaurant across the street. As we walked in we were overtaken by the smell of pine sol. We were seated in a booth and noticed a foul odor which we uncovered were coming from the menus. It smelled like they were just wiped down with a dirty rag. I was starving so we stayed and waited it out. I'm happy we did because outside of those two items, this place is phenomenal. I had the reject burger and my friend had the swole bowl. Both were absolutely amazing! So amazing that we stopped by the following day for lunch and ordered the same thing. It' has completely changed over the last year to year and half. The food quality had gone completely down hill! First time at this restaurant and there were some really cool things that will probably bring us back. I really like the atmosphere as there was a 70's and 80's theme in the bar with a lot of familiar characters from my childhood. I don't remember the name of my drink but it comes in a red cup and the limit is two. It was really good and flavorful. My wife has a Mule of some kind that was more ice than drink but they fixed it. Really disappointed with our visit this time around. I insisted on coming here for brunch because I absolutely loved the Morning After Migas in the past and had a craving for the creamy fontina that was mixed in with the eggs, as well as the amazing sausage. The restaurant was surprisingly empty for a Saturday brunch and usually in the past, it was at least half full. We ordered within 5 minutes and then waited 30 minutes in a restaurant that was a quarter full. When my dish arrived, the portion sizes on the migas and potatoes were about half the size of what I'd had in the past and all of it was cold! And the migas were dry and tasteless. The breakfast potatoes were rock hard and the tortillas were drenched in what I think was butter but they weren't cooked through and stuck together to the point that when I tried to pull the second one off, it tore apart. I ate all of it because I was starving, but I was hungry a couple of hours later and needed a midafternoon snack. For someone who weighs about 120 pounds that doesnt translate well regarding portion size. The icing on the cake was when the bill came, they had a new POS system and the server shoved the handheld in my face and said sign here. I quickly totalled the bill in my head and asked for a printed receipt. I was overcharged by $5, which is what I expected had happened. Without asking for a receipt, I wouldnt have been able to verify that because he didnt offer a printed copy. I met up with my brother for brunch on a Sunday. Upon walking in I immediately felt the really cool vibe, the music was blaring, the restaurant was full of people sitting inside and on the patio, it reminded me of the restaurants in L.A. type of vibe. We sat at the bar which also has bar seating on the patio. My brother initially ordered a beer and then switched to an infused bloody Mary consisting of vodka, tomato, garlic jalapeño house bloody Mary mix, he mentioned that it had a great taste. I ordered a mimosas ur rather champagne with a splash of orange juice lol (see picture). I wasn't very hungry so we shared the chicken and biscuit-cheddar biscuits, gravy and your able to add 2 eggs your way. I decided on the fried eggs while my brother chose scrambled. Overall we loved this dish, the chicken was juicy and flavorful, the eggs were perfectly cooked and the biscuits very tasty, fluffy and light. Upon me visiting my sister, she took me here after a wonderful service at Church One and let me tell you...it was a well deserved meal to indulge in. The wait was just 5minutes. The crowd was of mixed culture and it was a tightly packed place. The meals are uberly unique and so pleasantly tasty! You definitely don't have to worry about having the same old thing here as you would from other places. This place offers a spin on the items they offer.
