They hadn't been open long for that day so there was only one table being served and maybe 2 takeout orders. I got there too early, but the employee was lovely to chat with so I really didn't mind. I went with the tandoori jackfruit. I don't recall ever seeing something like it so I just had to try it! Overall it was really, really good on its own and even better with the sauce they included. I do wish it was a touch spicier, but I'm definitely going to order that again. They have a lot of intriguing menu items and the prices are fantastic compared with other restaurants - zero complaints and pretty close to where I'm currently living? He needs a different job. Not built for this. He seemed VERY VERY UNHAPPY. EDIT: I see some previous reviews talking about poor service. People can disagree on food quality, but poor service is universal. You need to fix this or go out of business. Put a smile on your face, be polite, act interested in the job and your customers. Or suffer the consequences of losing business due to poor service reviews. Just think how much more business you'd get IF you served your customers correctly. RECOMMEND: Aahaar. Always polite. Always seem happy. Don't eat an average or even great meal at India Belly with rude staff if you can drive a few miles to Aahaar and get greeted with smiles and politeness the whole meal.

We came in for lunch and got the Fried Fish, Mutton Varuthakari, Parotta, Iddiyappam, Dahi Sev Poori, two desserts, and a Chicken Biryani to take home. Everything was delicious -- the curry was excellent, with flavorful mutton and plenty of spice. The fish was especially delicious: crispy, spicy, and juicy, and probably the star of the meal. The Sev Poori was fun too, and the Parotta and Iddiyappam were quite good as well. The desserts were lovely. The Chakka Pradhaman was great, with the jackfruit flavor present but not overpowering, and the gulab jamun was nice as well. The biryani was also amazing. It's a very wholesome biryani and it hits a particular spot for us Malayalis (the cashews and the small grain rice are a part of that), and will keep us coming back many more times.
