Reserving an appointment online was really easy; I had Katie do my manicures. The first time I came in was a 15 minute wait even though I had an appointment & it seems like the more you're a regular, the more you get quickly seated. They offer some beverages (coffee, tea, coke, diet coke, bottled water) during your visit as well. I appreciated the quiet and ability to zone out with headphones or keep a conversation with the tech if you wanted to. They also have a punch card and the freebie is a free paraffin wax if you keep visiting. I appreciated how gentle Katie was in removing gelx to minimize damage to my nails as some other places file way too much. My last visit recently, I was relaxing a bit and felt my cuticle sting a bit. Typically I am good keeping up w the cuticle care at home(!), yet I held my hand up to notice and was a bit disappointed Katie gave a quick "sorry" but let it be and did not bother to dress it or put gauze, let alone her acknowledging the error from the jump would have gone over far better. Some time went on and I moved my hand w her shaping my cuticles to prevent that error from happening again and she told me curtly twice to not do that. The vibe was off a bit from that point and I was more than happy to go to my pedicure. That woman, Jenny I believe, was kind the times I had her. Usually once I find a nail place I like to remain there but I may search on a bit more and come back go Luxie later!

Price is on par $55 classic pedicure with gel $45 with reg polish. The shop is clean and stylish. There were at least 7 ladies working at once and tons of costumers. Parking was easy since the salon is located in Lakewood Towne Center, which offers plenty of parking and is also easily accessible by public transportation. I called earlier in the week to schedule an appointment for Saturday at 9:30AM. The doors were actually open a few minutes before my appointment, but I waited until exactly 9:30AM to walk into the shop. The shop is quite small, but it wasn't crowded. There were three people, including myself, getting pedicures at the same time, and one person getting a manicure. There were still staff available if any other customers came in. I requested a French pedicure and was impressed with the results! It was my first time getting a French pedicure, and I'm very pleased with how it turned out. I'm usually a bit concerned about pedicures because my feet are sensitive and I've been nicked on my toenails a few times at other salons. My total was $57.50 before tip for the pedicure. I'm not entirely sure what type of pedicure I received since I only specified that I wanted a French pedicure with gel polish. I did receive a scrub, oil, wax, and a massage on my feet.

The communication could be better as far as what services actually consist of so that you know what you're getting versus what you're paying for. The pedicures themselves were just okay. There wasn't much communication, and when there was it wasn't clear. They used single use kits for their pedicures. You can select different scents, some have CBD--some have collagen...stuff like that. They are labeled as premium, but probably aren't really premium products. The pumices used were like disposable yellow pads that. While these single use items are more sanitary...they do have kind of a cheap appearance and don't perform as well as products Ive had used during past pedicures in other shops. They don't massage your legs and feet for very long. They have a good selection of choices for polishes. Their pedicure seats do appear to be newer. They are clean and comfortable with option to massage you while you ate serviced. It wasn't horrible, but I think there are better shops out there for the price. More attention to detail would pay off especially since they don't seem to be busy. They do have a loyalty program and gave us $10 gift certificates for our first visit to use on a future visit within the next month or so.

It is no longer Unique Nails, I wasn't able to find the name in Yelp, which is Lynx Nails and Spa…read more This used to be my go to nail salon, and was surprised that it no longer was Unique Nails. They remodeled, so it looks more updated, but its a whole new staff/company. I had high hopes, but I am so picky and was sad Unique Nails were no longer. I made an appointment the day prior for 9:30am. I had a gentleman as my nail tech, I showed him long oval nails, he glued on my pinky nail crooked so he had to remove the glued nail off and try again. I started to get nervous. My nails took half the time as others in, I'm assuming they are regulars for the new salon. He got acrylic all over my skin around my nails and just left it. I paid $75 plus tip for a full set with chrome finish. When i got home to look at my nails, there is a gap between the fake nail and my nails. Literally every nail was not glued on properly. I was going to go back to see if they would rectify my badly done nails, but I dont think I would go back anyways. Im so sad! Unique Nails was my favorite, i believe Dan was my regular. And now its different, and after the rushed set with acrylic all over my skin, I am saddened. I will not be returning, and I recommend anyone that goes to double check they glued the nail on properly. Make sure they do quality work so you dont end up like me. Im sure I will have to get my nails redone very soon. It took me so long to find a regular spot, now Im back to square one I am not sure if the nail tech was new or not, but I feel like I totally got ripped off.

Very painful and now my feet and hands hurt very bad. They didn't paint our nails at all how we wanted it. We showed them pictures multiple times of what we wanted and the "finished results" were completely different colors (because they didn't have the powder for mine and they messed up and used the wrong powder for my daughter on her acrylics). I told her I didn't like it and she argued with me that she wasn't done yet and I should have said something sooner (as if it wasn't obvious that what she was doing and what I asked for were two totally different things) I wanted my hands and feet to match as cloudy skies with big thick white puffy clouds and stars and I got little sad looking whispy clouds and a lot of pain. And found out they've been overcharging me $80 for mani/pedi and charge some other people $75. They charged me $185 for mani/pedi for myself and my daughter even though the mistakes were endless. I paid, no tip, and left. As soon as we got home, we trimmed and repainted our nails. $200 down the drain. Considering that I would tip $20-$40 every time that I came here and have come here frequently, repeat customers do not matter at all to them. Also, I've noticed that it is very painful when my big toes' nails grow back after getting pedicures here, I think they trim too much from the sides of the nails and it causes ingrown nails. If you're not very careful in trimming and helping your toenails to grow back, it can probably become more serious. Hope this helps someone.

Another five star review, who's surprised? I scheduled my…read moreappointment with Dary back in June (now July) and the wait was worth it! Between me working and going to school and Dary going on vacation, our schedules didn't overlap. When the day came I was so excited. Her other reviews were all positive and the pictures looked great. Her shop is upstairs in a men's clothing store, which I thought would be shady and dingy but the man in the store told me where to go and it didn't give me a bad vibe at all. Once you enter the store it's clear what everyone means about going upstairs. I was seen at the time of my appointment and we got started right away. Her and her husband are so sweet and made me feel comfortable in their space. We watched tv while I was getting my nails done and we chatted about the show, their sons, where I work, etc. Dary took her time but I didn't feel like she was dragging on. At the end of the appointment I paid (she does take card) and I said thank you and left. Definitely a great spot but make sure to make your appointment in advance.

I'm not sure if it was her or me however I sent a text earlier this month and she said her next availability was May 29. I asked for her to call if she had a cancellation. The system in place does not work well for the price $50 for gel pedicure absolutely my second trip I had to ask her to to work on the skin. I am unable to do my own. I would much rather pay for a pedicure than the $50 co-pay to go to a podiatrist. I'm truly disappointed because I the boutique nail is a little cramped and you do have climb stairs don't arrive early because the chair outside the door is very uncomfortable to sit in! on the first floor they're very friendly they greet you as you come in not connected with the nail salon ! I love to shop small I patronize small businesses as much as humanly possible and avoid the big boxes and the the women that talk about their native tongue. I'm not about to go somewhere and use a translator to know what they're saying that's a terrible practice.
