Have been going here for about 10ish years. I love all of the staff and they always do such an amazing job. I get gel manicures and I've had them last over a month! Great quality for a great price. Only $26 for a full gel manicure. Sometimes it can be very busy so I'd suggest making an appointment in order to get in quicker. I have had to wait 30+ mins before without an appointment. Came here on a week day afternoon for a couples pedicure. The signage inside lists several different pedicures at different prices. The communication could be better as far as what services actually consist of so that you know what you're getting versus what you're paying for. The pedicures themselves were just okay. There wasn't much communication, and when there was it wasn't clear. They used single use kits for their pedicures. You can select different scents, some have CBD--some have collagen...stuff like that. They are labeled as premium, but probably aren't really premium products. The pumices used were like disposable yellow pads that. While these single use items are more sanitary...they do have kind of a cheap appearance and don't perform as well as products Ive had used during past pedicures in other shops. They don't massage your legs and feet for very long. They have a good selection of choices for polishes. Their pedicure seats do appear to be newer. They are clean and comfortable with option to massage you while you ate serviced. It wasn't horrible, but I think there are better shops out there for the price. More attention to detail would pay off especially since they don't seem to be busy. They do have a loyalty program and gave us $10 gift certificates for our first visit to use on a future visit within the next month or so. read more

I've been going here for years and have tolerated the inconsistencies, unprofessionalism and upselling, but I think I'm done. Not long ago I received a text telling me they missed me and I would get an offer, but didn't say what. This is the second time mind you and mentioned to the owner she needed to edit the text because It doesn't specify what. The second time I received the text, I asked her about it and she said it didn't apply to me because I come all of the time. I told her I hadn't come in for a month and if I received the text, I should get the discount (10%). She declined, but told me I didn't need to tip. Geez - doesn't she know the 10% isn't worth losing a customer. I went back again because mostly it's very convenient as I live 5 minutes away. Recently, and this is not the first time, I am charged differently for the SAME service. This last time, the nail person Truk (who does a good job) charged me the regular price and Lana, the owner, overheard and said it was 10 more for the French white dip tips. This brought it up to 60. I said I wasn't charged that last time and she said I was. So, I looked and I was not. As a matter of fact, I had the same nail service AND a wax service totaling 56.00. I don't understand why I'm being charged 10 more for a different color dip when I'm already getting dip!! I was annoyed and she knew it despite the fact I had been coming for 10 years and didn't care. I hate being ripped off. The upselling is another annoyance. She needs to stop! I don't think she realizes that most of us are annoyed and just tolerate the owner. The reason why some of the technicians look at you without responding, is some of them do not speak English. I don't understand why some people are so rude and do things like speak louder thinking that will help. Embarrassing for me seeing people act like that. Try and think how it will be for you visiting another country not speaking their language. What I recommend is for the owner to hire someone to help her straighten out these issues and then maybe she will get her business back. I know it's been very slow since Thao left. I sure miss Thao and I'll bet the owner does too. If the owner reads this, she will know who tis reviewing her business. Lastly, you remodeled, but need to stay on top of it. The paint is peeling off showing the orange on the left side. At least Truk is keeping things more organized. read more

Came in to take some acrylics off. They filed down the acrylic but then took a nail tip off to rip them off of my nails, damaging my nails terribly. One of my nails even split, an entire layer ripped off. After I got home I tried to put some nail hardener on it and nail polish to make it thicker, but my nails feel weak and it hurts when any pressure is put on them and if any pressure is put on the free edge it bends terribly, which is not normal for my nails. I could've ripped them off at my own home. I went there to get them filed and soaked off. I will never be going there again. read more

It's very hit or miss with this place. It's is close to home and convenient so I've come here often over the years. They recently remodeled and it looks very nice on the inside. Last time they did a great job on my french pedicure, and today I came in and asked for the same. The young man who did the pedicure this time did a terrible job. The lines are very un-even. One foot has thin pencil line and the other is much thicker. Zero communication asking if I was happy with the thickness. Did I want thicker? Thinner? Nothing. I tried to say something and he just looked at me like a deer in headlights. One of the gals working came over and I said, look, this is very uneven, the feet don't match. Can you fix this foot (pointed to right) to match the other (left)? He attempted to fix the big toe in the right foot, but none of the others. Sigh... Not to be a Karen , but come on. They charge $10 extra for french making the cost of a basic pedicure $45. At that price you should be able to make the toes match. read more

I've come here many times before but the last few times have been horrible. I take my grandma and the last time we came to get her face waxed the lady said we could go to the room and she would be with us in a minute. She left us in there for 10 minutes. My grandma is not a patient person and right as she was about to get up to leave the lady came to the room and was mad that we were about to leave. She did a poor wax job and left her sticky so I had to clean her up. And yesterday when I brought my grandma in to get a pedicure they asked to make an appointment so I said we'd be there in 20 minutes and we got there and one of the ladies working was rude and said "You said 20 and it's been more than 30!" We we not that late. Maybe a minute or 2. Right then and there I should have left but my grandma wanted to stay so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. But they rushed thru the pedicure when they normally take 30 mins this only took 15. I was mad the entire time and when we went to leave we apologized for being late and the woman who made the comment acted like she didn't say anything. I told my grandma that we are never coming here again! Don't waste your time or money coming here. Go somewhere else! read more

Came here for a manicure and pedicure before a wedding and won't be coming back. The appointment started off with the nail tech trying to up-sell me to gel. We went back and forth three times before she finally gave in and let me just get regular polish. I will acknowledge that pedicure went well, though it did chip before I left and I didn't have enough time to stay for a fix. I explained to the woman initially that I don't get manicures because I don't want them to mess my nails up, but was here for a special occasion. I told her I didn't want her to rough the tops of my nails up with the file to keep them strong. I asked her just for the polish and nothing else. Unfortunately I was talking to someone and didn't catch her scratch my nails up anyways despite my asking initially. She argued with me about how she just buffed them and that I didn't tell her specifically that I didn't want her to buff them. There were serious scratch marks on the top of my nails and they're significantly weaker now than they were before the appointment. She told me I didn't give her the right instructions. I asked her if she had any recommendations for products to by in order to strengthen my nails after I took the polish off and she didn't have any, but told me that nail strengthening products will weaken my nails. I'm not sure if that's true or not. The shape of the French tips turned out really nicely, though unfortunately later that day, there were visible cracking marks on the white tips under the clear layer. I attached a photo for reference. It was $48 all together which is a great deal. Overall, it was there for an hour and ten, which was a bit longer than expected. I won't be coming back mostly because of the customer service aspect. I've never had someone argue with me about what I asked for like this, and no acknowledgment that she made a mistake. If she had apologized or acknowledged a miscommunication rather than arguing with me, I would have been able to write a more positive review. read more

WORST PLACE FOR SERVICE AND WORST PRICES ! so it was my friends anniversary and they went to get mani-pedi's and my friend paid 135$ for a full set of super short acrylics dip powder and regular pedicure that's just outrageous to me and the quality of the work was so not worth it then for a regular pedicure and manicure no gel no polish nothing on either toes or nails was 80$ so a total of 215$ plus out of kindness leaving a tip it was just the worst experience i would never go back or send someone there it's crazy to me how they got over on my friends. read more

They must've had a turnover in staff as I didn't recognize any of the team at my visit the other day! The new folks are a bit rude, she said, "Oh my god" looking at my cuticles, and was incredibly rough and hurt me, I said, "ouch" more than once when she was filing my nails. I miss the old crew, they were friendly and gentle. I didn't see a plethora of color choices either, so I'll probably get my fill at another location. It's a bummer as I loved their loyalty punchcard. The job itself was horrible: nails were crooked, various lengths, and the shape was odd. And 2 days later two acrylic nails fell off! Her gluing was odd: instead of putting the glue on my nail she put it in the acrylic nail instead. No wonder they lifted off so easily. Will not be heading back to this salon anytime soon. read more

New to the area and this place is just around the corner from my house and I'm very happy with it! I've been several times now, for both gel and dip manicures and pedicures, and they do a great job. I'll keep coming back! It's a small place and they do tend to get busy, especially evenings and weekends, so I always try to go on weekdays before 3pm when it's quieter. The owner, Lan is a sweet, soft spoken woman. I usually call for same day appointments instead of just walking in. I've never had to wait more than 10-15 minutes this way. For those of you upset that had to wait longer than expected, consider this may due to clients not the manicurist herself/himself. I've watched people change colors after 1/2 nails already painted or bang their nails and need to be repainted. These all cause delays. We've all done it. I've been to many other salons where every time sometimes walks in and asks how long, the same answer is 10 minutes. I feel like here they are really honest about hey, come back at 2pm or whatever and I can appreciate that. Quang does my acrylic fills now. He actually turned me on to the gel powder because I like the clean, natural look. It's a little bit more but my nails stay shiny until my next fill. I get bored of colors quickly so clear polish is perfect for me. Another gal does my eyebrow wax there and I forgot to ask her name but I'll update next time I go in. I like to keep my brows full and natural and she's the only one who listens to me. Highly recommend this nail salon. I'm beyond disappointed. Actually my heart is broken. I have been a loyal customer for well over 6 years, love Anna ! But today the owner really ruined the relationship and I will never return here. I use gel colors on both my feet and hands. I picked a color of the swatch handed to me and the color did not look at all the same on my feet as it looked on the swatch. So I get told to pick another color and they will just put a top coat over the 2 coats already applied?? I was doubtful but went with it. Before applying the new color I picked the tech advised that the color doesn't appear to match...again. So the owner chimes in very rudly and "tells" me instead of asking me to pick yet another color. I asked how do we find one that actually matches the samples and very rudly she replies that she can't control to manufacturer and to pick another color??? I replied that it was not ok to make the customer feel at fault because of a manufacturer issue and that I have enjoyed coming here for years but I did not appreciate her tone. She then tells my tech to start over and to find another color? At this point I was done and told the tech to just remove the layers of color and I will find somewhere else to go where my business is appreciated. Walked in at 3:42pm on a Friday afternoon and asked about the wait & was told "right now" for a pedicure. I got in a chair 2 minutes later with 2 ladies ahead of me. I soaked for 8 minutes before someone started on me. Thao, manicurist, gave me a lap cover since I wore a skirt which was thoughtful. I was finished up at 4:29pm. Not exactly sure how healthy it is for fists to be pounding on my ankles- this kind of "massage" I don't find relaxing. One lady had two gals working on her and so there was a crowd of giggles and chatter in another language with the occasional "That tickle? Hehehe..." Thao shared with me that after 10 pedis you get $15 off which is nice. I was quite put off by the fact that as soon as I paid, she looked at my receipt, shouted something in Vietnamese, and the whole room laughed... WTF? Thao, you were tipped in accordance with the level of service you gave me- mediocre. I won't be back unless I have a pedi emergency before church on Sundays! Oh and most places I go tell you when your dry & set to leave but she did not. I'd rather go to Hi-Tek Nails 2 in Lakewood or drive out of my way to Jully's Nails in Spanaway where you get more personable service. read more

He'd been wanting a manicure so badly for weeks since he got his nails butcherd at our school's program. We walked in. Still a bit of a wait because everyone working was occupied. In my experience, I have found that the majority of nail salons are pretty much the same. Words all over the windows, "Walk-ins Welcome," old faded Nagel inspired poster of a girl with nails. You walk in and everyone looks up at you, someone who is working on a client asks you what you want, you shuffle around the reception area awkwardly picking out a color until someone tells you to sit in a certain spot. The brightest star at Red Nails, without a doubt, is Lana. Friendly, just the right amount of banter, remembers you from one visit to the next and does OUTSTANDING quality work. The best acrylic nails and design that I have received in my life came from her, and if I knew I could get her every time I was there I would be more likely to make the drive back to Lakewood. If this review was based on Lana alone, five stars wouldn't be enough. Again, as with most salons, at some point there is going to be a conversation in a language you don't understand. If we lean towards paranoid, I suppose we might think that they are talking about us, but it is probably as meaningless as the gossip and chatter you and your girlfriends produce when you hang out together. I am the type of customer that stops in without calling hoping for a pedicure. That's how I roll. If I have to wait, I just leave, but if you find me a seat I tip well. If I could give the owners one piece of advice, it would be to scrap their current inventory of colors and spend some money on new ones. Too many half-empty bottles that have separated and gotten gummy, and more than once a manicurist or pedicurist had to try and hide the fact that the bottle was dried out and not cooperating. It's pretty hard to hide the fact that you just squirted some remover into the color and shook it up in an attempt to make it a smooth liquid again. The water is always too hot or freezing cold in the pedicure tubs and more often than not I get someone who impatiently taps my foot when they need me to switch. I find that very unrelaxing! The nail art is always the same: five dots form a flower with a sparkly in the middle. Yawn. I stopped going a couple of months ago after I developed an infection that caused discoloration on the bottoms of my feet. As a girl who gets weekly pedicures it made me very upset. I spoke with my doctor and since I hadn't been barefoot in public or tried on any shoes, the likely culprit was one of the tubs I had gotten a pedicure in. Thinking about it, I never see them sterilize them or wash them in between uses, just rinse them out. I guess I just got unlucky. The prices are pretty standard, parking can be crummy depending on how busy the restaurant is next door but you'll always find a spot if you don't mind walking a little bit because it is in the Albertson's lot. read more

I usually go to Nail Art Inc in Fife. While I love that salon it was a bit out of the way for me. I was wary of trying places closer to home after one shoddy experience, but after meeting up here with a friend on a Friday afternoon I can say I had a great experience. I was a walk-in and didn't experience a long wait. The staff was friendly and pleasant and my nails came out beautifully. Great price, too. read more

I visited this business. I was burned by the owner with hot water on my leg. The Owner stated she "thought" she turned the cold water on but it was the hot water. I jumped because the water was so hot & it touched my leg, after deliberately spraying me with the detachable nozzle I explained that it was hot & that my leg was in pain. She continued service while receiving a pedicure. The second issue was afterwards she did a hot stone treatment which at the ending she used a hot towel which she did not fan off to cool off & placed it on my feet, it was too hot & I jumped again after my feet & lower legs were burning I even expressed it was hot at that moment she walked away & yelled no my skin was too sensitive. I then responded & said no it's not you burned me with hot water first now a towel & she continued yelling after not wanting to continue service with her she tried to attempt to get me to pay for full service for myself & my friend for Christmas I said I did not want to. She called the police as if I was in the wrong for unfair treatment. During that time I scanned the walls & didn't find licenses for the people rendering service as well as herself. When I asked where's her license on the wall the lady who was helping my friend said she didn't speak English even though she was the entire service. I felt embarrassed & humiliated that day I was happy until I received bad service the police came & helped me after I called myself when she snatched my debit card & would not allow me to take a picture of the receipt for my records as well. I did suffer a burn on my leg & have pictures & a witness on my behalf. read more

Red Nails and Spa is a great place to go to if you ware willing to wait a while to get a chair and for your nails to dry. They do a great job at painting nails and doing manicures and pedicures! I would definitely recommend going there with your friends, or just to relax! The only negative thing is that sometimes the people rush and get some nail polish around the fingers. read more
