This place is absolute trash. I came here to celebrate my bachelorette after seeing it online and reading the reviews it sounded promising. The food was undercooked and under seasoned, my cousin asked for no peanuts because he has a peanut allergy and they still put peanuts in his food and he broke out in hives when we returned home. It smelled gross in there. The drinks were good and strong but everything else lacked. The manager was drinking at the bar and when he saw us upset he literally said "what do you want me to do about it" and was pretty much mad we were mad. The experience was horrible and when I told him he ruined my party he pointed his finger at me and told me my friends ruined it which in fact is not true. Had he been more accountable and accommodating and understanding it would have been maybe a 2/5 stars but he was terrible. read more

We went here for dinner and the place is considered a nicer restaurant in the area where you can get dressed up in a cocktail dress and go to a fancy place. Although I wouldn't call it super fancy. They do have a bar area with plenty of seating. The menu is really big and I so we were hesitant about the food since it was all of our first time. The stuffed peppers (no pic) were amazing! The mozzarella sticks were just regular frozen mozzarella. I got the butter almond Scrod, it was really good and cooked perfectly but not a lot of almonds on it. The ribs and steak were amazing! The last person ordered the combo seafood pasta and he was very disappointed with it. I didn't get a picture because he was upset and I didn't want to make him more upset. But the pasta had no sauce, no flavor, no parsley, no cheese. It was just spaghetti pasta and not even a lot of seafood to make it worth $40. Also the side salad was sad. It came out with 7 pieces of lettuce and a few cucumbers and tomatoes. 3/4 ordered a baked potato and they were sold out so one opted to get broccoli. They were out of that too. The green beans were cooked perfectly. Also not sure why each dish came with a side of onions and tomatoes or pieces of lettuce. I guess that's there for presentation purposes but it wasn't necessary. Waitress was friendly and helpful but she wasn't as attentive as she could have been. read more

My husband , daughter, and I came to Ashtabula for a Volleyball tournament at Spire. We called Friday around 6:30 and was told they could accommodate us in 20 min. We arrived at approximately 7 and were seated immediately. We were treated by a very friendly waitress and as my husband went back to the car for his glasses, she got our drinks. My husband returned and I could tell something was wrong. He slipped on a sidewalk on the way to get his glasses and landed on his wrist. I informed the waitress he slipped outside and she was very apologetic. When she came back the next time she obviously could tell we were upset. We asked for a bag of ice. She told us she informed her manager but he was "swamped" in the kitchen. At that point I was completely disgusted. I would assume that a customers injuries would supersede kitchen work. She then asked if we wanted to speak to a manager, and at this point I said that I did not want to speak to a manager. I thought he should have been out immediately, not a half an hour later. When the waitress brought the bill, I honestly couldn't believe that we even received a bill. I asked her if our meals were comped and she said no. I told her to go back to the manager and tell him I felt our meals should be free. She came back and said they were taken care of. They manager then approached us and apologized, but proceeded to blame the 20something waitress. Very unprofessional!!! But, then he did say he was too busy to go out and salt. He had someone else do it. So she did tell him. We walked outside and my husband showed him where he slipped. He talked about the cameras and blame metro parks. Finally, we got to the car and my husband forgot his phone. We had our 15 year old daughter run back to the table to retrieve the phone. He was standing there holding the phone telling my daughter "theft of service" she called us sobbing. We didn't realize they comped 1 meal only. My husband went in to pay and he and the manager had words regarding professionalism. My husband offered to pay, he mumbled theft of service and told my husband to leave. We've never experienced such unprofessionalism. Yes, we were upset and certainly not the nicest patrons. We left the waitress a $20 tip. It wasn't her issue. Had the manager come out and showed a little bit of professional courtesy this situation would have ended much differently. I don't know if the wrist is broken yet. We'll find out tomorrow. read more

This is our "go to" place. I'm really surprised at these 1-star reviews but am reminded that there are some people you just can't please. I'm certain that if they had voiced displeasure, the owners would have done headstands to make things better. Wonderful fish specials, excellent soups and sandwiches. Homemade desserts that are delicious and can be easily shared. Ribeye on a sizzle platter is amazing. Drinks are phenomenal. Bartenders and wait staff are professional. Celebrated New Years Eve here. It showed they tried planning a nice evening. Overall, it was a good experience. I would recommend next year they get extra wait staff. They were so short staffed that people were yelling at the waitresses! One table was so rude our table almost went over to "tone them down". Our waitress was Jordan. She was trying hard but was overwhelmed. It might also help to put the party "favors" on tables at beginning of night. One last recommendation, widen rows between tables so people aren't getting bumped into by people trying to get to dance floor. The food was decent. A few orders were prepared incorrectly. Sufficient help could also resolve that. Fix these things and it will make a decent experience into a nice experience. Unfortunately this place did not live up to my expectations. The pictures of course look good but the food was sub par to say the least. The second that we got there, we were "greeted" by a very rude hostess (who I later saw drinking a martini while on the clock) She decided to seat us and we were then greeted by our waitress. We were not ready to order just yet but when we were obviously still deciding on what to get, our menus still open and us blatantly discussing our options, she came over three to four more times to ask us again if we were ready to order. She gave off a very weird, non personable vibe. Brushed up against my boyfriend and asked him if he'd like her to box up his meal for him. The appetizer was decent as were the rolls and butter. The main courses on the other hand, not so much. After determining that we make better baked potatoes in the microwave and we can buy a $13 steak at longhorn rather than the $29 steak I received here, I decided this will not be a place I return to. Mind you, I knew the costs, that wasn't the issue. The main issue was the quality. Everything was very bland and I had to discard several pieces of my steak due to hard pieces of fat. It was not at all worth the price they charge. So $75 later for a steak that could have been so much better, a bland baked potato, and a chicken parmesan. On the way out, the person who I'm assuming is the owner got very close to my face and told us to have a nice weekend. Over all, not a pleasant experience and wish we had gone just about anywhere but here. Please save your money and your time and go else where!! read more

We have been eating at Martinis in Ashtabula, Ohio since it first opened. The owners are onsite every night to make sure all the meals are served with the very best quality. I have yet to find a better Alfredo sauce anywhere. The steaks are some of the best in the area. The bartenders know how to make superb Martinis, but they also have a wide variety of local wines to try. I had the blue butter delmonico during our visit recently. Absolutely fantastic! read more

We came here when we found out that Rennick's Meat Market was on winter hiatus. The service was excellent, and my wife's breaded scallops were perfectly cooked: tender and succulent (a difficult feat, as scallops are so often served either raw or overcooked). Unfortunately, my meatloaf (one of the specials of the day) and basmati rice were entirely unseasoned and drowned in a watery gravy, making them both bland and unpleasantly soggy. We both ordered martinis for obvious reasons, and neither of us were disappointed in our drinks. Their namesake drink is well-made, and my wife was satisfied with her food, but I was disappointed with mine. Overall, a good experience. Just don't order the meatloaf special. read more

First time here with another couple and their kids and we loved it! Kaity was our server and she was amazing. The best we have had in a while so she was a breath of fresh air ! I was able to call around 4 and the manager squeezed me and my grandparents into s reservation at 5:45 tonight, the Friday before Christmas. Every staff members we met was extremely nice and welcoming. Kaity was an excellent server and super attentive. When there was a miscommunication about the prime rib my grandma ordered, she was quick to offer to take it back and have it fixed. I had the filet mignon which melted in my mouth and well worth the money. Our table had also ordered the ribs and everything was fantastic. This place is a great spot in Ashtabula and we will definitely be back again! read more

I've had the pleasure of dining at Martini's on two occassions, and both times, I was very pleased with my meal. Last night, I had the filet; it was perfectly done and delicious. My friend had the blackened chicken over tricolored fettiucini with Alfredo sauce, and he was equally pleased. My martini was served "dirty," which I didn't ask for, and that's my only criticism. We had a great family experience at Martini's! All of us got a variety of entrees and everything was delicious. Fried perch, candied chicken, 16 oz ribeye cooked perfectly, full rack of ribs, mussels app, drinks.....it was all great. Service was excellent from start to finish and when they say the deserts are made in house, they mean it. Next time you're in Bula, check out Martini's. I know this won't be the last time we do.....I've got a date with their filet burger that I can't miss! read more

Absolutely the worst food I've ever had in my life. I don't know how this place is open. Good atmosphere...that's about it. We aren't opposed to spending $120 on a good meal and drinks, but this was down right awful. We had 2 servers for our large table and the service was horrid. Salads and dinner came out at the nearly the same time. My chicken tortellini had microwave chicken and my husband's dinner was cold. Grossly overpriced for terrible bland food. My +twenty dollar cream-based pasta dish was grainy. If you're going to charge that much for a dish that costs less than a buck sans protein to make, at least make it well. I dined at Martini's this last December as part of a group outing. What a great disappointment! First, our reservations were wrong and Mary Anne was VERY rude about fixing them and moving our tables! She then was extremely cold and curt to our entire dining party the rest of the evening. Second, the wait staff seemed very hurried. They did not accurately serve orders (3 members of our group never got salads, 2 never got water), and they literally grabbed plates off the tables before people had finished their meals! Third, the food was, overall, NOT good! The salad vegetables would best be described as "brown." And at least four members of our party had to send their undercooked, rawish meats back (2 prime rib and 2 chicken dishes)!! Fourth, the drinks were nothing special, though priced as if they were rare unusual concoctions! What WAS good, though, were the desserts!!! I would recommend going to Martini's ONLY for the desserts--and try to avoid Mary Anne's glare and sour attitude! read more

Unfortunately,once again Martinis managed to top themselves and served our party of 5 the worst meal any of us has ever eaten-in or out of a restaurant.This July,we had decided to give them another chance after dining(?) here last summer.Never again. We were a well mannered quiet and undemanding middle-aged group.After our order was taken there was a long wait and meals were served twenty minutes apart.Some were finished eating before others received their orders.The delmonico steak (ordered MED) was 1/4 inch thick and burnt to a blackened crisp.Could not be cut with a steakknife.The salmon was dry and very overdone.Water was never refilled and waitress was unavailable.Finally a barmaid (???we were in the restaurant-NOT the bar!)came over and listened to our complaint about the steak.No manager,no apology,no offer of another entree,no comp.Meal was never touched.Several of us did not receive our sides.My brother-in laws' hash browns contained a long hair. This was undoubtedly the most appalling service and food any of us had ever experienced. read more

We have been eating at Martini's since the first opened in November of 2008. The food is very good although I have not had everything on the menu. Last night I had a great Delmonico Steak cooked rare - just the way I love it. Had a nice tossed salad and mashed potatoes with it. We enjoyed a nice Pinot Noir (great value at $28) with our meal. Four of us went to celebrate a birthday. We arrived shortly after opening so wasn't busy. Waitress was very attentive, water glasses were always full. Had a lobster type dip for appetizer it was a little disappointing but alright. Each of us ordered different types of steak they were all tender, flavorful and done as ordered , nice assortment of warm rolls . They have a very large drink menu with a lot of imagination.
