One out of five poops on the poop scale. Would not recommend. No privacy for pooping, but there is a nice wall. No ventilation, smells like poop (that's ironic). The rest of the bathroom still sucks. The urinals are ok. I saw lots of men go in and then come out very disappointed because they couldn't get the privacy they needed to poop. For the amount of food they have, I would except a better bathroom. Although, there was a long line for the women's restroom. Hopefully theirs is cleaner. read more

A bit pricey but my favorite place in Geneva. I went twice in one day. Service is great, piping hot absolutely delicious food (fries could use a bit of seasoning maybe?) but the burger and hot dog are unbelievable. The ambience is probably the best part. Definitely a step back to mid-century America. Where footlongs, burgers,fries and sodas reign supreme. The line was long but moved fairly swiftly. One item to take note of - is they accept cash only. Burgers exactly like when you were in school, terrible. I haven't been here in 30 years, I remember the food being way better. Or maybe I just liked school frozen burgers back then. to look at the gray frail patty was actually sad, I hyped the place up to my kids and they even thought they tasted like school food. Pleasantly surprised by my experience at Eddies. You order in front and pick up your food inside. CASH ONLY. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. Everything is fairly priced and there is a parking lot across the street if you cannot find on street parking. We ordered the fish sandwich, sloppy joe, 6 inch hot dog and fries. There is a condiment bar inside right after you pick up your food. All of the food was really good and the temperature was great so we enjoyed sitting outside. There are restrooms in the back by the outdoor seating. If you have ever been to Sara's in Erie PA, Eddies is very similar to it. We will definitely be back! read more

An institution on the strip! Boom since 1950 Eddie's been banging out the foot long coneys & burgers. Root beer etc etc. now listen I'm late to the party. I grew up in Fairview PA in the 70's and only discovered the strip last year so that is my frame of reference. Cash only. Not expensive. Great dogs, get the foot long chili dog it's better. I've been to Eddie's many times over the years. I ordered a footlong hotdog and was very disappointed in the quality of the food. The hotdog was all wrinkled and very dry. It looked like it had been sitting on a heat lamp for days. The hotdog was very thin and very little meat to it. The taste was very bland, along with the texture. Great place to grab a bite while in Geneva on the Lake. A throw back to old school diners. They have a very simple menu but the good is delicious and the service was good as well. Once you place your order at the counter you are given a number and then wait to be called. All the condiments are over by the pick up area. I had a foot long chili dog. The hot dog was good and the chili was amazing. My only knock was the bun got soggy very fast. My wife had the hamburger and said I'd was fantastic but the fun to meat ration was off. She thought there was too much bun for the size of the burger. My son had the hot dog and ate the whole thing, which he normally doesn't. The fries were fantastic. We stopped by Eddie's Grill on a Saturday around 1pm with friends from Michigan. It was VERY hot and crowded that day, but the food was amazing! Parking was a little rough, but expected with GOTL. We managed to find street parking a block down. The line moves rather quick even with a large crowd. Both Andrew and I ordered the cheeseburger with fries and we split a large root beer. I would definitely put that burger in my top 3. It was so good we both wished it were bigger or they offered a double! After lunch, we headed across the street to hit up the arcade! We played games including air hockey, guitar hero, claw machines, and we even splurged on a pressed penny! The only downfall was our fries were somewhat on the bland side and the dining area was swarming with flies. It was a very hot and busy day, so it's understandable. Very poor experience here. We waited in line for about 20 minutes and then about another 45 once we ordered for a chili cheese dog and fries. Great outside seating options. However, the fries were cold and hot dog was under cooked. Not sure what happened here because the place seem to be a staple of GOL but very disappointed. Maybe they weren't expecting a crowd in a gorgeous sunny day? Also got the pizza a couple of windows down for the kid. About 20 minutes for a slice of pizza that wasn't cooked. There are at least three different signs advertising Eddie's grill as you head up the main road towards Geneva on the Lake. Additionally, we had it recommended to us by some locals. It seems like the place to go when you are in the area. We were skeptical. The menu is just your standard set of hot dogs, burgers, and fries. The line for the place was huge, though, so they must be doing something right. Right? They are. We got a foot long hot-dog with coney sauce and their specialty root beer and were extremely pleased. The coney sauce was mildly spiced, but had a very pleasant sweetness that was an excellent accompaniment to the crispy grilled hot dog. They are doing hot dogs right. This isn't a steamed Oscar-Meyer type of place. The Richardson's Root Beer has a sweet and smooth flavor that reminded me a lot of A&W. It was very refreshing on a hot day and would probably make for an excellent Root Beer Float. They have plenty of seating indoor and outside on a nice patio, but the place was packed. We ended up sharing our lunch on one of the benches around the patio. We were a little disappointed not to have a view of the lake, but the food was good, so not too many complaints. From what we could tell, there are not a lot of public bathrooms available on the strip, but Eddie's has one. They are small, but clean and well maintained. There is only one stall for women, so expect a line. My one big issue with the place is that the food order and pickup process is confusing and chaotic. You place your order at a tiny window inside, just past the pickup counter and then pickup and pay when they call your number. The flow is off. You shouldn't need to wade through the folks waiting to pickup food to get to the ordering line. I'd never been there and had to ask someone to figure out where the line was. While waiting in line, I felt like I was on top of the folks sitting down to eat their food and I felt bad for them. I also could barely hear the intercom system they use to call numbers. It is pretty easy to hear outside on the patio, but difficult near the pickup counter. They would benefit from some changes in their traffic flow and pickup process, but I doubt that is going to happen given how many years they've been doing it this way. read more

After coming to this area for a decade we finally ate at Eddie's Grill. So up above where I say "It's easy." Change that to "was easy" We'll probably eat here every time we come up. The food is great. Here's a couple of tips 1. They only take cash (a couple of places on the strip only take cash. I get it, it's nostalgia. That's not nostalgia, that's stupid) 2. If there are just two of you dining. Only get one order of fries. They're $5 a pop and you get a lot of fries. Save the extra $5 bucks- one order is plenty for two people. Can someone explain the all white to me? Why does Eddie make his employees where all white?? That's horrible to do to those teenagers. read more

We used to live this place. The vibe from the past was great and the food was decent. Last summer, they decided to start charging $5 to park even if you eat there. Now they are charging $10. Sorry, we won't be back with this kind of tax to eat and park there. There are better places to eat that cost less. This review is for Eddie's arcade next door and specifically the golf cart rental. We had rented a golf cart for two hours and had a very pleasant experience. The attendant was pleasant, at 10:30 am on a Saturday there were lots of carts available and no problems with the cart we had. We returned the next Saturday since we had such a pleasant time. This time we called ahead to see if we could reserve a cart and were told yes. However when we got there, there we were told that there were no carts. Yet, there's a cart in the parking lot. We were not happy. So we left our cellphone number with the attendant in case something became available. About 10 minutes later we got a call back there were still no carts available but with an offer for $25 credit at the Arcade. This made my day. We were able to rent a golf cart somewhere else so all in all it turned out well. read more

There's nothing spectacular about it other than its location and every day hotdog stand kind of food that I think it's just slightly over priced, but then again people are willing to pay it because of location location location.. was very impressed with how clean and well-maintained.
