Food was great. The service was excellent is very cool. Cause you can walk up and sit down outside and some tables and chairs outside. It will bring your stuff to your table. We sit in the car and eat and watch the people. wheelchair accessible.

Great old time drive up summer restaurant. The root beer float was perfect. My only issue is with yeah frozen burger patty which wasn't terrible but you can definitely tell it's just a frozen patty

We stumbled on this location while on a road trip taking my oldest back to Vermont. Amazing cute and family friendly. We all enjoyed our burgers and fries. We will make the stop again when possible.

if you love turkey this is place to stop while driving Rt5 Conneaut Ohio, Food is always hit and fresh, bun with slightly buttery top with course salt makes turkey sandwich, onion rings pretty good, root beer refreshing on hot summer day. Service was quick for a busy evening, property is very well maintained.

Fine selection of oldies on the counter seating juke boxes

Ambiance: Retro road-side hamburger stand. Feel good place including sitting area juke boxes with great selection of oldies. Limited counting seating and plenty of umbrella covered seating in the back. Large parking area as well. More than your typical hamburger stand fare with plenty of variations to pick from, including the shredded Turkey sandwich. Onion rings were good. And grEat icream selections. Service was really friendly and helpful. Food served fast. A bit of a drive, but worth going out of the way for this place.

With a bit cooler weather for Labor Day Weekend, I hopped on the motorcycle and rode the backroads to Conneaut to give White Turkey Drive In a try. Located on Route 20 near the Pennsylvania border, White Turkey is a true old school food stand. Only open during the summer, it is well worth a try if you are in the area. With the current pandemic, White Turkey requires guests to have masks on and observe social distancing in line. The menu is interesting, since in addition to burgers, hot dogs, fish and sides they also have turkey sandwiches, ice cream and old fashion root beer. I of course went with the fish sandwich and an order of onion rings. Food is cooked fresh to order so it took about 5 minutes for the order to come up. There is a nicely set up area behind the stand with a variety of tables in a garden setting. The fish sandwich is two medium sized pieces of Cod with a crisp batter on a bun, tarter comes on the side in a packet. The fish was good, nicely cooked, the bun was quality and even had some salt on top for extra flavor. The onion rings were OK, the crisp batter slightly overwhelmed the thin slices of onion; I would have preferred that the proportion favored the onions more. Portion sizes were adequate, a decent value for your money, but nothing outstanding. White Turkey is well worth a visit, food is OK, nostalgia is outstanding, so if you are in Conneaut during the summer give them a try.

We came here a few months ago and as a whole I was disappointed. The burger was good but it didn't even come with fries - and the price of the burger wasn't cheap. I bought a sundae separately and it was puny. There are a lot of similar places in the area (we drove there from NW PA) that give more food for less money. I feel that The White Tuekey Drive-In is overrated. I gave an extra star because the seating area is nice. And finally - I got my mom an ice cream cone and the girl who worked the cash register got me the cone - and to my horror she handled the cone with her bare hand. I told my mom not to eat the lower end of the cone as it was no doubt contaminated with dirty money hands. Gross! Don't you train your staff?

Fun with tons of outside dining. Short drive off 90. Burgers, dogs, chicken and shakes

Fun atmosphere with tons of outside dining only. Burgers, dogs, chicken sandwiches, milkshakes, malts etc. established 1952 diner, with music to boot. You'll gobble, gobble.

We discovered this great place by accident while taking a leisurely Saturday drive about seven years ago. It's a time capsule. The only thing that has changed are the bees buzzing around your Root Beer Float, and possibly the prices! Considering the changes and closures due to the pandemic, it's nice to visit a survivor Great food, drinks and service. There is a gaggle of kids keeping the whole place clean. No staff shortage here. We had a late lunch/early dinner and ordered two Large Marge's (shredded white turkey, cheddar cheese and bacon on a salted bun), two orders of Onion Rings and one LARGE Root Beer Float. We also asked for a large souvenir mug, so they served it in our large mug but charged us for a regular. Delightful. It takes us approximately 55 minutes to travel to this drive in, but it's worth the time. Fun place. Lots of parking both around the main building and behind the main picnic style seating area. On each trip we see several "muscle/classic" cars, bikers, etc. So 1950's ish! There is even a separate parking section for motorcycles All seating is outdoors, with stools around the main building bar area and picnic tables throughout the nicely landscaped "backyard". And of course, centering it all is a hand carved white turkey (although it's mostly natural wood by now) in the middle of the garden. There are convenient self-serve condiment stations in the picnic area complete with packets of ketchup, mustard, etc, plus stainless steel containers of chopped onion and dill pickles. And Yes, Virginia, there is a bathroom! Although it seems they used to have two separate, they now have a unisex. It can get busy when the place is jumping... A great trip and one we try to make at least once a summer. They are open from Mother's Day to Labor Day, from 11:00am to 10:00 PM.

Cash only! Grew up in fairview and the big treat was the root beer float at the white turkey. Conneaut here we come, back in the day I called it Richardson's root beer stand. When I was a kid in the 70's it was fun to come up here for the old 50's drive thru experience. Hot dogs & Hamburg's are pretty good. The special is the chipped turkey sandwich. It's great a real blast from the past. They even sell that packaged to go. We've all done it the straw into the root beer float & it explodes all over the bar HA the good old days. Kids still do it. KIDS TODAY LOL!!! There is a technique and they will tell u how to do it. To avoid the spillage I mean. Bernoulli's principle I think it is from physics class. This is a prime time family spot. The staff are still cute as ever & work hard. My brother doesn't like the food (what??) but I love it 4 stars only bc it's so crowded. A summer institution since way back.

So they started closing up on a Saturday night before 8 o'clock... Very odd

Well I'm not sure what all the fuss is about for this Drive-in. The best thing on the menu was the fried cod sandwich. Cheeseburger was horrible, and terribly over priced for what it was. And the signature turkey sandwich? Ho hum, and really quite small for it's $5.99 price. The turkey must be shredded or chopped up in a machine. We were sort of expecting it to be pulled or shredded in large pieces. But Worst of all was the root beer...... for some reason it is not served cold: it was warm root beer! Oddly we got there about 6:30, and they were closing down the kitchen within 40 minutes of us getting there on a Saturday night. Was it the rain that prompted them to close? Overall, quite the disappointing experience for a place that's been in business for seventy years. We are sorry we went and we certainly will not ever come back. NOTE: Prices are really really much higher than listed on the menu here on Yelp. A plain turkey sandwich, about the size of a small McDonald's hamburger, is now $5.99! Yikes! Prices are about 60% higher than what is listed here. Despite the sky high prices, they only take cash. Yes only take cash.

Like the guidebook advised me going here put "it is an art director's heaven." We enjoyed great burgers, fries, and excellent root beer float while we sat outdoors on high top chairs listening oldies we picked from the jukebox. Cash only but they have an ATM. A not-to-be-missed place on the road.

Dipping a fry the root beer float ice cream is a must!! Always a great time stopping after Camp Fitch.

The bees are terrible. If you don't want to sit down and enjoy the food go there. Nonstop the entire meal. They will hide in your straws.

This one is no exception as it is one of two "McDonald's" in the city of Conneaut, Ohio. This particular one is in the heart of downtown Conneaut (at 312 State St.) while the other being at I-90 at Love's Truck Center. Since I needed a quick breakfast and something to fill me up, I decided to come here around 10:20am, right before their breakfast menu transitioned into lunch. The location itself is relatively clean and modern as you can able to order either through the touchscreen kiosks or the old-fashioned way by going up to the register. There is ample seating throughout and this area is very well-lit with an abundance of windows. There were two working public restrooms as well as a self-serve fountain drink station. Finally, the exterior has a drive-thru. This particular location is open for business 7 days a week from 5:45am to 11:00pm. Conneaut is a sleepy little town so many other businesses close up for the day around 9:00pm. I decided to go to the register and they immediately took my order (in less than 30 seconds). I went with their "Sausage McGriddle", "Hash Browns", and "Minute Maid Orange Juice". Total price came out to about $7.00 for everything. This location actually gives you a number and brings your food out to you. Overall, everything tasted fine to me. My McGriddle was hot while the hash brown was crispy. The orange juice had more of a diluted watered down taste but that was probably because of how sugary everything else. All in all, the downtown Conneaut "McDonald's" location is a decent stop if you're strictly looking for fast food. There aren't many other fast food options in this area except for a Dairy Queen, Pizza Hut, and Burger King by the I-90 highway. With that said and done, I am giving this location just an average three stars.
