I rarely review fast food establishments since they more or less taste the same at every single location. This one is no exception as it is one of two "McDonald's" in the city of Conneaut, Ohio. This particular one is in the heart of downtown Conneaut (at 312 State St.) while the other being at I-90 at Love's Truck Center. Since I needed a quick breakfast and something to fill me up, I decided to come here around 10:20am, right before their breakfast menu transitioned into lunch. The location itself is relatively clean and modern as you can able to order either through the touchscreen kiosks or the old-fashioned way by going up to the register. There is ample seating throughout and this area is very well-lit with an abundance of windows. There were two working public restrooms as well as a self-serve fountain drink station. Finally, the exterior has a drive-thru. This particular location is open for business 7 days a week from 5:45am to 11:00pm. Conneaut is a sleepy little town so many other businesses close up for the day around 9:00pm. I decided to go to the register and they immediately took my order (in less than 30 seconds). I went with their "Sausage McGriddle", "Hash Browns", and "Minute Maid Orange Juice". Total price came out to about $7.00 for everything. This location actually gives you a number and brings your food out to you. Overall, everything tasted fine to me. My McGriddle was hot while the hash brown was crispy. The orange juice had more of a diluted watered down taste but that was probably because of how sugary everything else. All in all, the downtown Conneaut "McDonald's" location is a decent stop if you're strictly looking for fast food. There aren't many other fast food options in this area except for a Dairy Queen, Pizza Hut, and Burger King by the I-90 highway. With that said and done, I am giving this location just an average three stars. read more

Ordered a bunch on food for curbside, got home and was serving my family and found that they skimped me 40 nuggets. Called the restaurant and was told to bring all of my food back as all of my family has started to eat, I could take a picture for ya. Worst customer service, what are you supposed to expect from a restaurant that isn't run professionally. read more

There is actually another McDonald's in Conneaut, up by Interstate 90 in the truck stop. I highly recommend you eat at that one if you must have Mickey D's. The food and the service aren't all that great in the morning and lunch time. And trust me, it gets even worse when the high school kids are "working". read more

Used to live in Conneaut, and while this McDonalds isnt THE reason i moved away i would be lying if i said the fact this particular location is still operational didnt play a small role. Any time i have ever gone here the food is either cold, incorrect, or just plain gross. The "manager" is rude and for some reason feels like doing her job is just too bothersome, have had several occasions where i was talked to like an idiot for things that make THEM the idiots. Avoid this location. We stopped while driving through. I ordered a large water and a small frappe. First I was midway through the frappe and something wasn't right. There was a piece of plastic in my frappe, like plastic from a thin glove or a bag the cups were in, gross! Secondly the water was tap water. I get large waters from McD all the time near my house as it's good, filtered water. I went to take a drink and could honestly smell the water and tasted it and it was definitely not filtered, complete waste of money. read more

This McDonald's maintains a well trained staff and they get it right every time. There is a reason they are always BUSY. And the reason is they serve up good tasting food at fair prices in a family atmosphere. I count on them, always. I see some "one star" postings here. Ignore them. Hair in the hash browns and is it too much to get an order correct? Apparently not. I ordered 3 meals and got two meals and a sandwich and drink without fries. In effect 2 meals and separate charges for a sandwich and drink. In the end I ordered fries and paying separately as the counter group seemed too perplexed to handle getting an order correct. Thus, more money buying everything a la carte...and I didn't feel like waiting for a manager. Once we got our food, we noticed a nice piece if blond hair in the hash browns and we are all brunettes... Perhaps instead of saying "can I help you?" it should be "can I fleece you or just gross you out?" At least we got the hair for free, right? Whatever...continue down the interstate and you'll likely find a better franchise location. I like McDonalds but will avoid this one next time through when traveling on 90. It took 15 minutes to get our food and there was nobody in there. They kept doing all the drive people and I said something to the manager about them taking so long and she just gave me a dirty look! Also they just remodeled the place and jacked up the prices so much they will price themselves out of business. $7.80 for QPWC and $7.50 for a Big Mac meal is a bit extreme. read more

The Nasty McDonald's female Manager was sooooo flipping rude to me. I asked if this McDonald's had the sausage McGriddle Deal. She said NO.... I asked for two of the sausage type then. She rudely replied "what type"??!! I said Sausage. Then she said "what's wrong with you we have 3 different types"??!! Meanwhile there was a picture of a Sausage McGriddle on the Menu and it had Sausage, Egg, and Cheese on it. Mine came with Sausage only... It was disgusting and made me sick and I threw up.
