I always go to this Marshall's because I live pretty close so I often take my son on a walk to buy a toy and to just look around, the cashiers are usually nice. The cashier I had today was very sweet and said she remembered me and we had small talk about my son. But one of the items, a sweater set didn't have a tag, I work in retail and I get how annoying that is, so I let her know, I know where there's more I'll just go grab one for her to scan. So I came back and she grabs it and I guess the tag wasn't attached??? Idk how because I just grabbed it from the rack and saw the tag on. Anyways, she kind of acts weird and asks me why the tag was loose or came off and I told her I don't know..but there's a bunch more of the same item she can go check. And then she's like okay I'll check, comes back and says she'll "give it to me" for the tag price.....it wasn't even like cheap or anything it was literally 14.99 for a sweater set outfit...and I was buying a bunch of other items, so I was just like okay......it was annoying and I don't like to feel like they thought I was scamming them when they could've easily done their jobs and checked the same items on the rack for the same tag. I really hate to say, because she was nice, but the interaction left a bad taste in my mouth honestly. Idk about going back anymore it was really annoying.. read more

I have been coming to this Marshalls location for years but never had a great experience like the one I had yesterday. I had couple items for return with bunch of receipts in my hand that were driving me crazy since i didn't know which on was for what item. So there was a bit of a problem matching receipts with each one of the items. The minute Helen M. Who was the manager walked up, she kindly and professionally scanned all my returns and assisted me in a right way which was awesome. I should also mention how busy she was as a manager trying to help multiple cashiers who had a problem with there registers. I could see how well she was Multitasking and managing everything well at the same time. This is called a "GOOD MANAGEMENT" which is very important when it comes to a busy store like this. I want to thank Helen M ( the manager) and Teresa who was the cashier. They were both extremely professional and kind to help me with my returns. I really hope the management stays this way since having a happy customer is everything. read more

I always love coming to this Marshalls/Home Goods. It is nice to be able to shop for clothes and home goods at the same time. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the line is always so long. The staff is friendly and helpful and inventory is usually pretty good. They also need more carts as every time I go I have to hunt down someone in line who is checking out and may not need their cart anymore as there are never any when you walk in. read more

Update: Holidays are over so the baby section was expanded enough to fit shopping cart. I still recommend expansion of the baby section. Every time I go there are long lines but less cashiers than during the holidays, usually about 5. Please open more cashiers! As I was walking into the store today I was holding my coffee thinking that if stay home order was lifted holding cup of coffee in the store shouldn't be a problem. There were two employees by the entry door. They didn't allow me to walk in to the store because I had coffee in my hands. I told them I am not gonna drink it just didn't want to walk back to the car and then back to the store. It's waste of time. I am not a kid if I said I won't drink it it means I will not! Won't go to this location anymore as the workers don't seem to know what they are doing, but the manager was worse. I had a couple online returns..There was some issue returning an item on the 2nd order which required the manager (or who I think the manager is.....Middle aged Muslim lady....not trying to be racist, just want to give a description as I didn't get her name). They did some bizarre way of returning something in which it looks like somehow I bought a gift card for myself after they accidentally credited too much money back (hard to explain). I ended up essentially buying myself a gift card because of how they messed up the return. I don't want a gift card to Marshall's, but now I have one rather than if they just refunded me correctly where I wouldn't end up with a gift card. One of the worst customer service I've ever received!!! Trying to exchange couple of items And I was told it needed to be showroom condition In order to exchange. Yes it had few puppy hairs on the lease and on the shorts. Then they said I needed the tags on them. I told them for the shorts I threw them away but for the lease it just had a sticker of the price which it was still in there. The short dirty blond manager said few times about the tags then took her words back once she saw the receipt. My partner and I came to this Homegoods location after going to another closer location just 4 days before. We loved the selection we saw at the original location and this location had some additional different items. Of course a lot of these pieces of furniture are thrown around and scuffed up, handled without care, etc. so it's a pretty standard question to ask and request a minimal discount, such as 10% off... especially when there are proven damages, scuffs, etc. The manager at the first location close to Tarzana Home Goods was so nice and did 10% off of anything that was damaged, but she explained manufacturer defects weren't applicable. After we had well over $1000 worth of items at this Marshall's X Home Goods location, we told them we wanted to ask the manager for discounts on a few items. We also applied for a credit card and they said we could get 10% off and unfortunately we didn't get it granted this evening. The manager came over - her name was Nusa (maybe I am spelling it wrong) but she was not a very nice lady. She couldn't deal with managing the floor very well because she wasn't even given us the time of day to even show her everything we were talking about. She walk walk away mid sentence and come back. Back and forth. And the. The discount haggling. O M G. What an embarrassment she made of not just herself but of us. There were pieces that had literally scrapes and pieces that were unraveling and she was like "I can give you $2 off" :-0 $2? This is insulting! Then she said $3 off... I kid you not. This was a joke. I told her that the other store was so nice and gave 10% off and why she was so stingy and ungrateful for our business and asked why she decided to turn around trip into such a miserable one. The kicker is that there was a stool that literally was super wabbly. She said she couldn't discount it because that's how it was. Ummmmm? Do you know any chairs that are designed to be wabbly? 10% off of that would have been a mere $5 discount but to her it was worth disappointing 2 new customers. This is our second time and home goods and we are in the profession of staging and interior design for short term rentals. Nusa needs to be trained on how to provide better customer service and understand that chairs are not designed to be wobbly. Now is it worth loosing $1000s of future business over the $5 discount Nusa? And also us reaching out to corporate to complain about you and explain how we had such an incredible experience at the other location but you made this entire experience so unpleasant and actually quite embarrassing. We didn't get the items she refused to discount because it's the principle. You shouldn't be paying full price for items that are messed up, you know? Hi. I'm a regular customer at Marshals HomeGoods. And always come to shop for clothes and home items. Today I came for some gym clothing and was treated very poorly by cashier her name is "Helen" . I was next in line and she looked down on me and looked like she didn't want to check me out . I came up and then seconds later pressed her #2 button to come next. She didn't great me . I had to great her first . And that's poor customer service . She kept looking at me skeptically asking personal questions about wear I worked and what do I do and I felt uncomfortable. Then she didn't let me use my discount TJX card . She didn't believe that my family member gave it to me and assumed that I stole it. She made me feel so low and made me cry . No one has ever questioned me at marshals before , I've used my discount card so many times before. I have never in my life been so embarrassed. I will not go back to this marshals again. Helen you need to stop lying on your resume that you have good customer service because you were the worst part of my day . Horrible customer service I purchased a pair of leggings at another Marshall's and used a 10% and when I tried exchanging them at this location they said I could not because I didn't have their employee I.D how am I suppose to have that. All the god dam marshalls are the same all I was asking for was for them to exchange them because I decided to purchase more. They're so rude I asked for the manager who seemed to be this older middle eastern lady and she was very rude and said she couldn't do anything and walked away from me when I was talking. I normally don't like Marshalls because of one I went to that was disgustingly dirty with the hangers on the floor and some of the close were too. I have to say this one is really nice. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because each time I go there are long lines at the check out and not enough people at the cash registers. I like shopping at marshals for quick birthday gifts or active wear and/or shoes. I like the fact that employee are not chasing you Around the store asking if you need help. They seem to mind their own business. You can find great deals on name brand clothes, shoes and even home decor at low prices. I really love their clearance section. The shoes are really nice and up to date with fashion. Avoid the restrooms they always seem to be smelly or dirty. Only one stall for men and women. Also the checkout lines are horrible -- so, if your in a hurry don't expect the lines to go by so fast! Parking spots are pretty tight and small. Sometimes it's best to park on the side of the store and walk around to the front. This avoids parking issues or waiting for someone to leave. read more

Reading the reviews I'm not the only who has a bad experience. Today I went in due to the sensor not being taken off when I purchased the slippers . I went through 3 employees in order for them to take it off . The managers there are rude and act if I stoled the slippers which I purchased a month ago for gift and since Christmas just passed we just realized the sensor was still on . One of the employee stated it would've rang since the sensor is still on obviously it didn't I left with it on and came back in the store and it didn't ring . They need new managers. Marshalls like most other stores of their kind can be a hit or miss. Sometimes you'll find a lot a great things and sometimes you won't. This location is in the process of getting a face lift. I guess they are going to match the exterior to the newer surrounding construction. Came here the other day for workout clothes because my fat ass finally joined the gym again. I've been working out daily so I needed more gym clothes. I totally scored. Found pants, sports bras, shirts and spent less than $100. read more

I found an $80 picnic basket for $10 Their mens clothes for me are not all that great. you might be able to find better stuff at another stores clearance section. This place has gotten so much more bigger with the HomeGoods addition. The only downside is that it feels crowded and it seems a little disorganized. I do enjoy shopping here because I have more to browse and the people that work here are nice. This is a brand new HOME GOODS combined with an existing Marshall's. After my last terrible Home Goods visit in Tarzana, I decided to check this new one out. They had a tremendous amount of new selections. Very clean and organized. It's new for now. Hope they can keep it that way. There were staff in the store asking if they can help. Faranak was very nice and friendly. The cashier, Keesha, was courteous, friendly, and had a big smile. I'm definitely switching from Tarzana to this location.
