I hate this CosmoProf because there's always the same lady being rude all the time it's older white lady with short hair and glasses and I don't know what's her problem or what's her issue but it's like she doesn't like working there like girl if you don't like your job that bad then don't work there simple as that every time I go there she's always rude. The last time I went there I was purchasing a blow dryer and she seems so frustrated helping me. I know it was the last 30 minutes of them closing, but she was over here sighing and straight up you could tell that she didn't wanna help me out at all. I purchased the blow dryer and she accidentally clicked cash instead of Credit and she didn't know what to do. She was calling her managers and I was sitting there for a good 20 minutes waiting for her to figure out what to do and she just seemed irritated with me the whole time and then she was already saying oh you're gonna have to come back tomorrow to purchase it. I said no ma'am I already purchased it. What are you talking about like then I went in today I called on the phone before I went in because I was looking for something and she just always seems so clueless and then she's gonna say oh are you licensed? Are you licensed in a rude tone like ma'am? Why would I be calling the store if I wasn't not many people know about CosmoProf besides licensed people and you don't ask a customer that over the phone you ask that when they're there in person then when I'm about to pay and lying, I'm telling her oh I just called on the phone for something then she's gonna say oh don't you see I have somebody right here. Let me check her out . Give me a few minutes like ma'am how was I supposed to know that she could simply be like OK I got you give me a minute or two and I'll ring you up she always has an attitude and just seems like she hates her job like why do I have to deal with something like that being a paying customer at first I was not even trying to be rude to her but then she came off rude so I'm like OK since she wants to be rude. Clean, neat, A LOT of product here. Big parking lot with lots of sweets stores surrounding it. AAH I wanted it all. Came while they had a 10% the whole store deal, EXCEPT for Olaplex. Bumzy. They do have the biggest Olaplex selection I have seen here in comparison to other CosmoProf's I've seen. Got some MyDentity stuff and Olaplex. They seemed pretty stocked up. read more

My mother has been a loyal customer of this CosmoProf location for many years. Today, she attempted to return an item and was unjustly accused by the store manager of adding water to the bonding color mask. Mind you the product was still closed and the manager simply shook the bottle and stated "You put water in here". We're in California it's 100 degrees outside (it's even hotter in the car), which causes consistencies of products or anything really to change. I attempted to contact the manager by phone, but both calls went unanswered. After reading several reviews, it is obvious that they do not do their job of answering the phone. According to CosmoProf's return policy, "All returns or exchanges of product purchased at a Cosmo Prof store must be returned to a store within 60 days unopened and unused, proof of purchase/receipt required. In addition, all returns of products purchased through a sales consultant or online must be returned through your Sales Consultant or Customer Care within 60 days unopened/unused, proof of purchase is required. Call Customer Care to obtain a shipping label." Based on their return policy my mother deserved the return. A receipt was present and the product was still closed. Due to this unprofessional encounter, my mother will not be shopping at CosmoProf at all. read more

I come to this cosmo prof location almost every other day and well this was the first time I left unsatisfied. Not with the product, but with the service I received. I've never had a problem with the staff or service, but today I went in with my mother in law to buy some color and the manager was just flat out rude from the second we went up to pay for our stuff. All the other times I've went and shopped there, I've never had an employee let alone a "manager" say no to payment when I am using my student discount card.. if that's not allowed, I get it. But you still don't have to be rude about it. I'm a STUDENT who still needs my moms help to buy stuff. I've literally NEVER had an issue until today. If your staff is doing something they're not supposed to do, it's not on the customer. It's on the staff you hired and trained... Today the "manager" on duty Paula goes on saying, "well they're not doing their job right and I will have a talk with these people." Can I just say when I pulled out my receipts as proof, she said "I will have to have a talk with this person." Mind you, I didn't do it to get the person in trouble, but frankly the manager shouldn't even have said that because there's no cashier name on the receipt. All the passive aggressive comments I got today was absolutely unacceptable from a "manager". There are tons of other things you could've said for me to give you another source of payment. What's not to love? This place rocks. Sucks that it's only for salon professionals but, it does make you feel special shopping here. With it being so exclusive and all. You will never view a beauty supply store the same once you step in this place. The staff is usually very friendly and helpful. Don't be afraid to ask them questions. The hairstylist, I'm not sure what his name was but he's the kind man with the tattoos who helped my hairstylist very much and was very respectful. I am extremely disappointed in the customer service at this location. I went to buy color for myself the other day and was not greeted kindly, and was given serious attitude by the employee working. She was not helpful and very rude. After I couldn't find the color I needed (they have very low stock) I managed to figure out a formulation and proceeded to check out only to be told that I couldn't buy the color I needed because I'm only a cosmetology student. Which it states on the door that it's for: Barbers, Stylists, and Students. I will never return to this location because of the very poor customer service. I do not recommend. read more

I'm going to go ahead and give Cosmoprof one star because they decided to change their return policy and not tell their customers about the changes. With so many different products on the market these days it's impossible to know if a product works for you or you like it until you try it. Being able to return something that didn't work out for whatever reason is the only way I can afford to try new products. I purchased a new shampoo for blonde hair that cuts brassy tones that I had read good things about on Instagram. Maybe I should have bought the small one but I bought the big one. Well as you can guess where this review is going I didn't like it nearly as much as the one I have been using for ages. It was worth a try but it didn't work as well as my fave. I went back today and was given a hard time. The sales girl asked me if I used it. I said yes I used it once. How else would I know I don't like it? She proceeded to tell me that they can't accept used products. I explained that I have shopped there for years and always returned used products I didn't like. She explained that the managers all had a meeting and decided this was going to be the new policy. I mentioned the new policy isn't printed on the receipt. And I wasn't told anything at the time of purchase. If they have a new policy wouldn't it make sense to TELL customers ahead of time!? I'm pretty sure that would affect my buying decisions knowing its a final sale.... She called over another employee and they carefully inspected the shampoo opening it and peering inside to ensure it was full....they didn't acknowledge my valid point about the fairness of notifying me prior of a new policy and basically had a too bad for you there's nothing we can do attitude about it. I was pretty mad but just decided to let it go. What good is arguing? They ended up giving me credit back on my cc less 20% which wasn't fair but better than nothing......bad customer service! Where do I begin ... the amount amazing customer service I've had here is incredible. I'm a cosmetologist in training and all throughout my schooling (this past year) I've come into this location with loads of questions and concerns and every single time I've come in I've had such positive experiences and tremendous amounts of help from Desiree and Mitchell. They both have helped me in such a way that goes far beyond their job description. They walk me through everything and explain the products so professionally.
