The service and associates very kind. Daughter had placed online order and upon picking up was not able to find one of the items. She did look for item through merchandise and in backs stock , with a store of customers. I truly appreciated her time and was communicative to guests that she would be a minute. After purchased one of the items, took time to look up in other stores and did disclose to call first . The point is the associate took the time to answer questions, made recommendations and was helpful to direct where to find. Thank you! I like to grab hair dye or bleach products from here when I feel like experimenting or changing up my hair. The staff here are very knowledgeable and know a lot about what hair products are best for you. I think it's easy to feel judged when one walks into a beauty supply store but I never felt that way here as all the staff have been very open and friendly to what I desire. They are easy to approach and I usually never have a problem finding what hair product I need unless they are out of stock. Sometimes, I feel like they could use some more different colors per brand for a much wider variety. For example, one brand could only have less than 6 options of hair colors while another brand would have around 15 options. The prices are reasonable. read more

I placed an order for pick up for online at 11 in the morning. I got an email confirmation at 11:47 saying it was ready. I come in the store around five to pick it up and they're saying it was never processed even though I got the confirmation email. Lupita was extremely rude and unhelpful with this process. Yesterday I went to this store to buy some products and I was "greeted",by to high school acting employees. When I went the door was closed and a girl told me l, that they were closer, because the cash register was not working correctly.(there were customers inside purchasing items at the cash register) I then told her I would be paying cash; she proceeded to tell me she couldn't make any sales. It is probably because her and the other employee Jose lacked the math skills. I asked her for her managers name and she told me her managers name was "Jennifer". I then asked her to please write down her name, the store number, her managers name and hours. The girl went inside and was taking forever, so I went in the store with my 2 year old toddler to get the paper, and this big tall(feminine guy) supposably named Jose and Kelly got in my way trying to block me. (((By the way the peace of paper only had the stores number and the name "Jennifer' ))I then explained I understood the store was closed and that I was going to grab my toddler. The guy Jose was so aggressive and proceeded to follow me as I was grabbing my son. He had such an attitude. I can understand that you can't make any sales, but I explained I was just trying to look at a products name to buy in the future. It gets even better I called the store number after I left, because I was attempting to leave a voicemail for the manager, but when I called the first time someone answered and pressed dial keys and the call went idle. The second time I called someone answered, pressed dial keys, and the call went mute. I then said over the phone that the store has a recorded line and that there are store cameras and that I was going to mention this to corporate. The call was still silent but then it went idle after mentioned that. The level of unprofessionalism is unbelievable. That is some high school want to be mean girls type of stuff. Whatever I recorded the call, because I won't be calling the supervisor. Guess what honey ? I know that these petty employees are probably looking at this review and I am calling corporate. If you want to deal with completely incompetent people who don't understand simple customer service and common sense this is the place for you. They put my pick up order back even though I received a text that tomorrow was the last day to pick it up. The employee was the most unprofessional person and completely lacked any customer service skills. I asked for the manager and apparently she went home leaving this person to fend for herself. When I told her I just wanted the same item and they could price match it to the order they put back she told me she couldn't do that and proceeded to call her manager Janet and now the 2 incompetent employees together figured out they could not honor the price as they do not have that ability. I would like to give 5 STARS to MANNY, one of the best retail customer reps I have had the pleasure of meeting! Manny, at the Sally's location in Northridge on Corbin, was the friendliest and most helpful person I have come across in retail. I had a problem the day before there and when I came back the next day, after speaking to him on the phone, he told me he would take care of me. He all but held my hand the whole time I was there to make sure I walked out happy. It's hard to find genuine friendliness in this business and he has it in abundance. He was also well-informed and johnny-on-the-spot with an answer to my questions. He knew all the products, what they did, prices and exactly where to find them. Not happy, I brought my daughter in because she wanted purple hair so I asked which temp hair color they recommended with her particular hair color. The lady picked out a ion brand and told me to mix it with conditioner. Well it didn't take well and looked horrible afterwards. I brought her back and showed them. With you love it or return it all over the store and the reciept, i asked to exchange it for a different brand and he says he can't because it should 've been a stand test.. Wth! 1 they recommended it and 2 no where does it say that! On the receipt it recommended you do a strand test but it doesn't say you won't get a refund or exchange if you used more. My friend Kat A. uses it all the time and highly recommended it t o me for when I fancy having my hair all wavy... Came in and asked the lady where it was as we had little time to spare. She didn't seem too keen to help out. OK, whatever. We found the correct rack... But ohh My so many bottles and product.... "Oh I know, I will ask the lady who just "helped" us..."... "Ask use me"... "Ma'am??'... "Uhhmmm".... she replied to "CAN YOU please point out the generic texture...." Jeez, thanks for.. helping mate... Anyways, slow at the till so the SAME lady came to help out... She was still very blunt, but she must have realized that she acted like a complete ARSE because she blurred out lots of "Have a good day".. "Happy Thanksgiving..."... Now.. I wanted to give her 2 stars... BUT This spray has been discontinued and she did find 2 bottles left and she brought the 2 with her... So the lady has common sense and perhaps dealt with her at a stressful day ( preparing for Black Friday?) The other reason why this is a 3 star review is because I REALLY wish that Sally would stock some high-named products so that I will be able to purchase all my products at one place.... Being a licensed cosmetologist, I don't like to use "any 'ole thing" on my precious clients hair, nor do I like to pay continuous loads of dough due to the quantity of products I use and size of clientele. Here's where Sally's enters....a.k.a. The Bargain Beauty Bordello :) Easy on-line ordering and nice prices for cosmetologists, though their shipping can be slow at times... And if they don't have something in stock, they'll just remove it from your order then reimburse that amount without notifying you! *tsk tsk* However, they have reasonably priced products that do a beautiful job at providing what I need, whether it be for: salon supplies, shampoo, conditioner, relaxer, mousse, oils, gels, etc... Impressively so, Sally's also caters to all hair textures, carries comparable & generic products similar to the brands I'd like to try but feel are too expensive. I do have to say though, their line of hair extensions suck with a capital UCK and the makeup lines they carry are so-so, with no lace wig supplies and very little weave supplies to be found either (hence the 4 ****'s). But everything else gets two professional thumbs up! All in All, Sally Beauty Supply continuously gets better with time and will definitely remain as a stable, for my day to day products & supplies! read more

Normally this place is great! Friendly staff and great customer service. Today however was just ridiculous. First the male employee (heavier set- kinda feminine vibe) pulled the door closed on me stating were at capacity due to covid. Ok- no need to be rude about it but were all overworked so whatever. Then when i was let in- he stood in front of the section i needed to see and when i said politely that i needed to get in that section he scoffed then proceeded to hackle with one of his coworkers behind me. I then asked him if he had clear hair glue- very rudely he told me no. When i went to pay the machine asked for my pin- i stated it was a credit card and he told me i dont know what to tell you just press the button. I told him never mind you're rude af and its not worth it! It wasn't like a big purchase or anything so i doubt he is affected. Ive been going to this Sally's for 10+ years. I went today to this store for the first time after calling most of the other beauty supply stores in the valley. I was looking for the Folicure line of shampoo and conditioners and no one carries them. I've only been able to find them online but highly over priced. Anyhow, after the fourth person told me to call Sally's, I figured that I should. I'm happy that I did. Not only did they carried what I was specifically looking for, but they also had other products by Folicure. I first encounter an older lady who didn't have an attitude but wasn't too friendly either. She acknowledged me and came over and asked me if I need help. I told her what I was looking for and she showed me where it was and left. Nothing else said. She was gone just as fast as she approached me. Not a big deal since I knew what I wanted and I tried to not judge others since no one is perfect. But I doubt that I would had felt comfortable approaching her again to ask her questions about other products or advice. Afterwards I ran into a young girl, pretty good looking by the way, and she was extremely helpful. I told her about my hair problems (thin hair with breakage and lots of frizz) and she gave me a lot of advice. Specially on what products to avoid. She seemed very knowledgeable and didn't looked like she was bothered by all my questions. Which were several. She even helped me get a discount when I check out.
