I would like to express my sincere appreciation for Esperanza in the Chanel Beauty Department at Nordstrom. Great experience at Chanel at Nordstrom. Emily offered warm, welcoming service, while Tita introduced me to their new fragrance and surprised me with birthday beauty and makeup samples to explore. I sincerely appreciate their thoughtfulness and attention to detail. Beautiful, luxurious-looking jewelry, especially the gold Jesus Christ necklace and rings. Alexis provided excellent service and gave me a clear, honest answer when I asked why the rings don't come in an XS or smaller size. It would also be helpful to allow customers to try on the rings to make sure the fit is right. Joseph was helpful in showing me the necklaces I was considering, which made it easier to compare my options and make an informed decision. Fast checkout and attentive service overall. They all deserve special recognition and pay raise soon for their customer care and dedication. Spacious, clean environment. Thank you. God bless. read more

I had a great experience. There was basically no need in trying to find things on my own like in most of the other stores. Here, I went to the area that I was looking for. Danny, came up and mentioned that if I needed any help to let him know. I asked him that I was looking for a specific size in shoes. He mentioned that he only had them in black and a specific shoe style. He brought the shoes, handed me the shoe to try on. Then he went ahead and mentioned to try on the other shoe, to walk on a hard surface. Overall a great experience. I ended up purchasing the shoes. I will be coming back to this location. read more

I wanted to share a disappointing experience we had at Nordstrom Topanga. My wife and I waited more than 20 minutes just to receive our change after making a purchase. The sales associate said she was going to break the bill, but she never came back, and we were left standing there with no updates. After waiting for such a long time and getting frustrated, we asked someone to call her. Unfortunately, the associate was rude, and when her manager came over, she was cold, didn't apologize, and made us feel uncomfortable even though we were simply waiting for our change. We've always expected better customer service from Nordstrom, so this experience was really disappointing. I hope this feedback helps improve the customer experience in the future. read more

I don't typically review large retailers unless an experience motivates me. Today's visit at Nordstrom Topanga did it. The End-of-Season sale was going on so we decided to browse. I'm usually a "leave me alone while I shop" kind of girl, but I do appreciate being acknowledged when walking in an area. Nordstrom does this well in a casual, non-overbearing way. In the Men's section, I found a couple nice pairs of AG jeans and shirt for the husband that I thought he should try on. As we approached the dressing room with another couple, two sales associates appeared to assist. Randy was ours. I sat on a small couch inside the dressing room. As my husband came out to show me the fit of each item, Randy would come in to check if we needed anything. As we exited the dressing room, he was there to take our items for purchase and put back the ones we didn't want. We browsed some more, then made our way back to the register -- Randy was right behind us. I didn't have my Nordstrom card with me. Randy walked me through the steps of securely accessing my account without the faintest sign of inconvenience. This young man was impressively knowledgeable, patient and friendly. He provided just the right amount of personal service. read more

Do not pay with cash ..! I had an absolutely terrible experience with the customer service at Nordstrom in Topanga. I was in a hurry and specifically did not have time to wait, yet I was not warned at all that the process would take so long just to get change . I ended up having to wait an additional 15 minutes, which was extremely frustrating and completely unacceptable given that no one had informed me about the delay. To make matters worse, the way I was treated by Winter made the experience even worse. She had a horrible attitude What made the situation even more ridiculous was that she couldn't even handle something as simple as giving me my correct change. Instead of trying to resolve the issue professionally, she walked away and went to get a manager because apparently she couldn't even deal with the situation herself. The level of attitude and disrespect I received was completely unacceptable. Customers should not be made to feel like they are a problem simply because they expect basic courtesy, efficiency, and competent service. I left extremely disappointed and frustrated. Nordstrom needs to seriously address the way customers are being treated and provide better training on basic customer service and professionalism. One star is more than enough. read more

I have been here many many times and never wrote a review. It's one of the nicest Nordstrom's within my area and I like coming here more than the Glendale location. It's more spacious and has more brands including high end designer items. The shoe department is my favorite here. I always find cute shoes. Lots of parking including valet parking at this mall. During Christmas there were many sales and I ended up doing most of my shopping here. read more

I attempted to return an unworn pair of designer shoes to Nordstrom. A salesperson informed me that designer shoes are not returnable. When I asked to speak with a manager, I found the manager to be rude and dismissive. I then contacted Nordstrom customer service and was told they could not override the store manager's decision, but apologized for the managers rude behavior As a customer of more than 30 years, I am seeking clarification of Nordstrom's return policy and a review of how this matter was handled... I demanded a review of the decision and I sent pictures .. I can't believe Nordstroms right now .. at this point my number one store is not on my fav list read more

Shame on the Nordstrom corporate brand. They have stolen a friend's artwork and pond it off in their window displays as if it were their own. Nordstrom steals. I normally think of them as a luxury brand but for them to not pay someone or licensed their artwork, but instead to rip it off, copying it exactly and then putting it in all of the window displays. Shameful and absolute disgrace. read more

I had a really bad experience and told myself i would never bring my business back here again. but i had to eat my words because i had an emergency the other day and had to come to this location but i will say, i had an amazing experience with rosy at mac the other day and today i picked up an order and drew was so helpful and got me in and out so quickly! yesterday, Mari helped me place my order for pick up. She truly went above and beyond for me. She's amazing . when there are employees like rosy, drew, raquel, and others i've named in my previous reviews make me come back. it's about customer service at the end of the day and 9/10 employees are amazing. it's just that one girl alyssa who i was told was the manager for order pick up- she's terrible but i wont let her hinder me from returning anymore! read more

I want to thank Kevin A. From the Men's Suit Department. On my way to a job interview when I realized I was missing my tie clip. Called Nordstrom, call was redirected to his department. I recently visited Nordstrom Topanga and had a really disappointing experience. I was shopping in the women's dress department and interacted with an employee named Faire. Unfortunately, she was extremely rude and dismissive when I asked for help. It felt like I was bothering her just by asking a simple question, and instead of assisting, she brushed me off and made no effort to provide any kind of service. This is not the level of customer care I expect from Nordstrom, especially given their reputation for great service. The overall experience left a bad impression and made me not want to return to this location. Really disappointing, and I hope management takes this kind of behavior seriously. read more

On 8/26/25, I visited Nordstrom Topanga to process a return for a designer red blazer jacket. What should have been a routine experience turned into one of the most disappointing customer service encounters I have ever had in over 20 years of loyalty to Nordstrom. Upon presenting the jacket, I was informed by an associate, Ryan, that the item required confirmation from the designer team. After waiting several minutes, he did not return. Despite repeated requests to other sales associates to contact him, they explained they had no means of communication beyond his social media. I attempted to locate him myself in the designer department without success. When Ryan eventually returned, he informed me the jacket had been "altered three inches" and insisted I walk with him to alterations. This claim was entirely unfounded: the jacket had just been ordered by my mother, had only recently arrived, and still bore all of its original manufacturer tags and tickets. As I tried to clarify the situation, Ryan ignored my questions and continued walking, leaving me frustrated, anxious, and feeling dismissed. Fortunately, another seasoned associate eventually stepped in and confirmed that the jacket was not altered, and even if it had been, such an alteration could not have come from us as customers. As a customer who has shopped at Nordstrom for more than two decades, this treatment was deeply disappointing. Not only did the situation trigger immense frustration and anxiety, but it also made me feel as though I was being accused of something dishonest--a devastating experience for a loyal patron. This experience underscores a larger issue: the urgent need for stronger training for retail associates, particularly in customer service, communication, and respect. A brand as iconic as Nordstrom has built its reputation on trust, service, and care for its customers. Situations like this compromise that legacy. I share this experience not only to voice my disappointment but also in the hope that Nordstrom will take this as constructive feedback to ensure that loyal customers are never treated in this manner again. -- Ani read more

I don't know what's going on with the staff here, the ladies at the fragrance department are so pushy and rude. I wanted to purchase a bottle from the Francis Kurkdjian collection or Perfums de Marly and both sales associates were pushing me to make a purchase. I told them both I wanted to smell the scents without assistance and when I'm ready to purchase I will get either one for assistance as they each work for the respective brand. But nope the Persian lady in the red jacket was fallowing me around as the Hispanic lady from Paramus de marly was telling me she's very knowledgeable and she can help me make a decision. I clearly stated I like to do this my self and I will ask for help when I'm ready to pay. They wouldn't leave me alone, I left without making the purchase. They need to relax, I understand they make commission; all they did was push the sale away. They are just way too pushy, it's obvious they are hungry for sales and $$$ Nordstrom used to have the best customer service now it's just like any mediocre department store. I will purchase from a different establishment. read more

I grew up with Nordstrom and unfortunately it's not like it use to be . Do not order online and perhaps don't even buy from your Dyson from Nordstrom . I can't afford it but I figured I can for once buy my daughter and I this " luxurious " item for Christmas. Unfortunately my last dollars wasted and I blame myself for it . Nordstrom never delivered my item . It never arrived. When I call they gaslight you . But as a low income mother , they really do steal your money . I can't afford to replace my daughter her Christmas gift . Don't waste your time ordering things . I wasn't asking for a refund . I was only asking for the product I wasted my money on . read more

I love Nordstrom! Julie (in the makeup department) was so kind and patient with me. She did not pressure me to buy anything. I will always text her when I am headed to the makeup department. I only gave Nordstrom 4 stars because the customer service in the activewear department is not good. There are often no associates around for help, and when it comes time to pay, I have found that I have to look for associates to ring me up. Yazmin in that department is not friendly at all and does not smile, even when I try to engage her in a friendly conversation. She is the only associate that is not friendly in the store. I love the shoe department associates; they are helpful and friendly. I would still recommend Nordstrom to anyone. read more

After having some issues with their staff's customer service in the past, I am happy to say this Nordstrom has had a 180 flip with their employees and customer service. Molly, who's on the 2nd floor women's clothing section is awesome!! I see her almost everytime I'm at Nordstrom. Her customer service is top notch, very down to earth and she always has a wonderful attitude. And Julie, who is in the makeup department, was the best. She doesn't work for one specific brand and gives great recommendations on all the brands Nordstroms makeup department carries. She was a breath of fresh air and gave me great suggestions on products and answered all the questions I had. TY to both Molly and Julie for always making my shopping visits awesome! read more

Dear Ingrid and Karina, I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to you two lovely ladies who gave me and my two friends such wonderful service over the weekend. You both took the time to help them select new scents and pick out birthday gifts for loved ones, and we truly appreciated how helpful and patient you were throughout the whole experience. My friends were so pleased with your recommendations and kindness that they actually came back the following day to purchase more perfumes! That really speaks to the great experience you created for us. You both are wonderful at helping people try something new and making customers feel like they are truly part of the Nordstrom De Marly family. Wide open sales floor with a good variety of clothing and designer attire. This three level Nordstrom has a restaurant on the top level near their bed bath and then some section across from alteration, which you can leave and sit in an area enjoying a beverage or snack from the restaurant or your mall adventures. The first/ground level floor is mostly men's and boys and the mid floor is women's and girls with misc department store good on each. The fitting rooms are very spacious and comfortable and you can find some great deals on the mark off racks. Had a great visit! Hadn't been in since 2018 and it's definitely gone up in service and layout with more to come! The entrances from the AMC side seems more inviting and enchanting. Great customer service. read more

This place has truly gone down hill over the years. Not one hello or offer to assist in three different departments I walked through today with my mom. The staff was disgruntled and miserable to be there with clothes disorganized all over the place. The selection has also become really terrible I have no idea what happened to the buyers of this territory. Very few people walking around had Nordstroms bags and I can see why after scanning their offerings from the disastrous shoe department and everything in between. You're better off using this place to do online returns and nothing more. Very disappointing. read more

I generally love Nordstrom, but the last 3 visits to this location have been disappointing. The 1st two visits, in mid-December and mid- January, I was in the handbag area on 2 separate occasions. I was looking around at all the displays seeing if anything caught my eye. Both times, there were 2 employees chatting away. Both times I was not acknowledged as they continued chatting as if I was not there. My most recent visit was this morning. I was picking up my online orders in which I received an email stating the items were ready to pick up (as of the previous evening.) The young woman who was assisting me, attempted to find my order and was not finding it on her hand held computer. Each time she tried she would look at me and said 'nope', nothing else! She had to have said that at least 4-5 times. I was really taken aback at how unprofessional and tactless that was. I was picking up my order that was a few hundred dollars. Others may be picking up orders worth several hundred to thousands of dollars. I hope the management at Nordstrom takes notice of the subpar service of some of he employees and retrains them to be more cordial, professional and helpful. read more
