I tried to get a job here at Aritzia Topanga and the interview process is a joke. It felt like a factory interview. They scheduled everyone all in one day and make your interview "short and sweet giving you only 15 minutes to be bombarded with questions. The director of recruiting Florencia was extremely rude and full of herself. She was the one who interviewed me. She did not care to take the time to get to know me and my skills better during the interview. She would interrupt me and just say okay and shoot question after question very robotically. There was another girl who was a manager she said sitting in there on the coach next to me, who was silent the entire time. It was awkward and uncomfortable for me. Aritzia makes it very factory like in their hiring process and just goes through the motions during the interview. They also over cramming all the candidates to schedule. If you get interviewed by Florencia, be aware she is rude, short, and is stuck up. She gave bad vibes and the energy was not there for me during the interview. Lastly, the girls working here are also rude and stuck up. When I was sitting on the couch waiting to be called in, I saw two associates gossiping looking directly at me with a paper covering their mouth. I thought to myself how rude and disrespectful. Aritzia Corporate should really take the time to read these reviews on there store, because I noticed I'm not the only one who has complained about the rudeness of staff at this location. They really need to be spoken to by cooperate the staff at Topanga on their customer service skills. I do love the clothes at Aritzia though. The one positive thing I can say is I will still shop at Aritzia, but I'll go to a different location to get a better in store shopping experience and to get better customer service. If I had to guess this company might burn bright for now but who knows... I feel like their logo is so chic, interior and layout of store is beautiful but the clothes and customer service are sub par. And upon going to the fitting room, I tried on a dress that was a little too large and was helped quickly and was brought a size smaller that fit perfectly, and though unfortunately not in the color I original wanted, it ended up being better! This store has the rudest, most unhelpful salespeople. They could not be less interested in selling items or helping customers. They literally sat on the couch by the register, looking at their phones and chatting. My daughter asked if a dress came in a different size while in the dressing room and one of the gals literally huffed and went looking. Very rude! I love aritzia's clothing but every time I've returned something here they always make up a new rule and say that I was told when I purchased my items which is a lie every time. They need to come up with a better, clearer way of communicating their return policy. They told me last time "when you purchased the item we told you, you could only get store credit and it's on the receipt." Which one they in fact didn't and 2 if I already purchased it and the rules are on the back of the receipt how would I know the rules before I purchased, makes no sense. read more

The most unprofessional sales people with nasty attitudes. They don't care about customer service and only care about socializing and belittling customers. Specially when it's 10 minutes from closing and they could care less. These employees need to be trained on how to provide customer service to their customers. Don't bother wasting your money here. Honestly everytime i have came into this location the girls only help the skinny chicks or the ones they assume have money, they don't ever come up to me. Love this location. Not so bz as the one in Glendale. What I love about their products are the ones for cold weather. The materials keep me warm and are comfortable to wear. My favorites are the cozy fleece tops and pants. Currently in Toronto Canada and oh boy, I am wearing them and they are warm enough for the 30s and 40s weather. Prices are exactly the same but I'm getting more bang for the buck with CA$. Another of my favorite is my green shawl jacket that I got on sale like two years ago and I'm waiting for it to go on sale again to purchase other colors. My gf (Alexxa) and I (T) went into the Aritizia to purchase a few pieces we needed for a work conference in a few weeks. Alexxa wasn't quite sure what she wanted or where to even begin to look. (im pretty sure it showed on our faces lol) We were pleasantly greeted by Ciara ( Cierra, Sierra) ( sorry im not sure which is the correct spelling of her name). She seemed to have been working on a few things already but she approached us ready to help. She was so informative on the items and collections offered in the store. Although Alexxa wasnt giving her much to work with, Ciara was attentive and patient. Recommending styles and fits that she thought Alexxa would like. We tried on so many pieces, the process was quite long BUT Ciara was with us all the way to the end. Under average experience. I was browsing with my mom when a sales associate approached to start a room, mind you I had nothing in my hands. She was a bit awkward almost following us around the store and reminding me of "the sale" for 20% off everything. I picked up a pair of pants I didn't really want to try on but started a room, when I went to try them on she was aggressive to buy more and shop which made me uncomfortable. Fast forward I start checking out 1. I couldn't understand her 2. She didn't give me the discount (had to go back and void the transaction) 3. She didn't tell me it was final sale until I swiped my card. Not that I intend on returning but a warning would be nice. She said it was because I purchased the item on sale. The clothes! The staff! The ambiance!!! What is this gem?! Replacing American Apparel (in my head) and completely blowing them out of the water is this Canadian clothing brand. I compare the two for the aesthetic although AA had its time and went out way before COVID for me. The clothes are gorgeous, extremely high quality, and very versatile. I bought an activewear set in all gray last month which has been my favorite pair of leggings ever since. I got the TNA Active and it feels like butter to me!!! I work out hard and this material hasn't betrayed my sweat, j have noticed they form creases in the drawer, but those fade after an hour of wear. The staff here is so lovely, they have a relaxed and cool vibe, yet they're very willing to help you answer questions about their clothes. Heather helped me out on this particular visit and her personality alone inspired me to read to Yelp and write this review a month later. I had never been to this store and I was excited to finally pick something out as I had heard amazing things. They have the worst customer service and return policy out of all the stores. I purchased a pair of sweatpants during Black Friday when whole store was 10% off. No one mentioned that by getting the 10% off that item becomes final sale. The fitting rooms were so packed that day. I decided just to buy those sweatpants and bring them back if case they didn't work out. when I came back to try to return them they told me because I got the 10% off on a $70 pair of sweatpants, Those pants were now final sale and I was not allowed to return them. read more

I've been to Aritzia in the Topanga mall many times and I always leave happy! The clothes are very fashionable and great quality. I find myself wearing clothes from Aritzia more than other pieces in my closet. A few times that I have visited, an associate named Liana has helped me out. She is always so warm and welcoming towards me and makes me feel like I'm the only customer she is helping! When visiting a store, I aim to walk around and enjoy shopping on my own, but receive help when needed. She always helps me find what I need for specific occasions; if I have an outfit idea in my mind, she helps me bring it to life. Upon entering the store, I did not realise that their female employees have flocked together to whisper and stare at us as we shopped around the store. I only caught them because as I looked up to their direction, I caught them in the act, especially one girl who gagged at me quite loudly. When they realised that I caught them, they jumped and all skittered away with one girl saying "she saw us!". I have to say this is my first experience being treated so poorly by employees at a store like Aritzia. I have never felt so disrespected and so unprofessionally treated. I honestly froze up and I didn't think about getting the store manager nor confronting the employees at the time. I do not have their names, but I distinctly recall two of the girls who were the worst amongst the little group they had. The girl who gagged at me was white with blonde hair, wore a white shirt and black shorts at the time. I saw her running back to her spot at the cashier. The other girl who said "she saw us!" was also white and had her hair in braids. She wore an oversized green flannel jacket with blue denims at the time. I don't know if perhaps they thought I looked poor, my outfit was not to their liking, or maybe it was because I am Filipino and my partner (who was with me at the time) is Mexican- perhaps it is a race issue? Either way, do I not deserve common decency? I don't know how they could get such attitude when they're just working at a mall? I'm hoping something can be done to avoid this from happening again to other people, so I hope anyone would take this seriously. read more

I will never ever visit this place again. I made a return few weeks ago and the girl was giving me major attitude and the manager ended up helping with the transaction. Today I went in to make a return from an online order, I was literally in store for 2 hours because of some computer error. The girl that was helping DOROTHY or whatever was nice at first. The concierge emailed me a return request, I showed it to her and she did not read the email and assumed they processed a refund when we were on the phone with another concierge. She told the concierge that the refund was processed which was not the case simply she did not read the email. So the concierge ended up telling her to take my item and charge me for another without any documentation. She rushed me out the door and said it was already refunded and I asked for her name she told me she does not need to give out her name? I went back after talking to another concierge and found out the refund will not be processed unless I ship back the items. How do I do that when Dorothy took the item? Dorothy also lied to the manager that she was just doing what the concierge says but that was not the truth. She told the concierge about the email that the refund was processed when it clearly said it was a return request. I was so over it and I did not want to be there anymore so I just let her say whatever she want to her manager. It was a mess and it was crazy. After 2 hours of back and forth the manager ended up giving me a refund. NEVER AGAIN. I really question all retail associates intelligence at Aritzia. How come something so simple had to be so insanely inconvenient. read more

Well for starters, every Aritzia location I've been to (century city & Glendale & topanga) all the employees rush you at the door. It's quite uncomfortable and overwhelming. I'm not sure if it's because they get commission or not but they're all trying to give me their names when I repeatedly say I'm just trying to browse. Now back to the main point: I purchased a romper in store at a different location. It was close to Black Friday but wasn't on that actual date. It got shipped to my house a few days ago. I brought it in to return in person since the box was damaged and the return shipping label fell out. I didn't catch this cashier's name, ironically, but she was so incredibly unhelpful. She was kind at first but then tried to give me every reason of why she couldn't process the return. First, "this barcode isn't scanning." Second, "this was purchased on Black Friday so it's final sale." Third, "it's past the 10 day period." Every time I came back with the reason that was definitely not the case she got more flustered. Finally, it was processed and when I thanked her, out of courtesy despite her unprofessional manner, she just said "mhmm." Not coming back to this location. read more

I'm not kidding when I say every time i walk into the store, I leave with my credit cards maxed out and the happiest I've ever been. Now, to the people reading this I need you to know the stylists are the kindest and most helpful people I've ever met especially Liana! When I walk in and see my favorite stylist (Liana) I already know I'm gonna be leaving with the BEST outfits on this planet (ya'll better watch OUT).
