Really disappointed with the customer service I received at Cotton On. I simply asked an employee…read moreif I could check the balance on a gift card. He told me that the only way to find out the balance was to actually purchase something with it. I thought that sounded ridiculous, so I called the store from inside the same store and another employee told me that yes, they can check the gift card balance without making a purchase. The frustrating part is that the first employee could have easily checked it or given me the correct information, but instead I had to call the store myself while literally standing inside the store just to get an answer. Mistakes happen, but giving incorrect information and making the customer do extra work instead of simply helping them is poor customer service. Hopefully management can address this with the staff so other customers don't have the same experience.

Well, the lady at the fitting room was not happy when I replied "sadly, not" when she asked if they worked out. I gave them back and proceeded to checking out the cute Halloween items. I ultimately left the store without buying anything but the alarm went off as I was leaving. I went back inside and told the same woman I had nothing on me; she began communicating with other staff via their headpiece, saying stuff like "she doesn't have anything, she's carrying a water bottle, iWatch and her purse." So I started to walk out again but she walked behind me so I stopped again and told her I have NOTHING and she looked at my purse, which is a small 9x6x2 crossbody I jokingly opened it and she leaned in to check it. At this point, a male was approaching us and all I said was "this is ridiculous" and left. I was profiled and disrespected. Instead of them apologizing and wishing me a good day a second person came? Not okay at all. This was a very unpleasant experience and I will never set foot on that store ever again.

Well, it seems times have changed (or, most likely, I have changed). They still have a very surf/skate culture feel to the store. It's slightly dark & 'edgy' but not enough that it would scare your grandma out. They leave that up to the groups of high schoolers aimlessly roaming the store in packs. They make it tough to move around as they'll just hang out in a section goofing off. You want to look around that area? Too bad. They're not even going to acknowledge your presence there. I ended up leaving shortly after coming in as I knew it wouldn't be worth my time. It seems like, at least for the men's inventory, they have a few of several styles, but not a ton of variety. I hope the women's section has better variety but I can't speak for that. I just know their men's swim section was tiny & their section of currently hip (read: overpriced) t-shirts was big. I guess my days of shopping at Tilly's have passed. Maybe one day I can pass the cap off to one of my kids.

The prices will vary here so if you don't like it then just shop elsewhere or see if you can find it cheaper at another store in the mall. They also carry Stanley cups here as well.

It says that I have to ask an associate for the right pair which is fine but asking the associate was being told to go downstairs to get the right pair so that means I have to go downstairs stand in line ask for the right shoe just so I can try it on to see if it fits. I don't know about most people, but typically you need to try on a couple pairs of shoes walking up and down those stairs just to get the second pair doesn't make any sense to me. I walked out immediately. The savings are about $10. I think I'll spend the extra $10 for the convenience at the mall or online.

My husband also asked her about a shoe size for my baby, and she was incredibly rude--she didn't even come over or anything; she just said, "Only the sizes you see there," and was very arrogant about it. The service was terrible. I had already heard bad reviews about that store, but I went because it was nearby; I will never visit that place again.
