Walked in to this particular store yesterday around 5:30 pm and was greeted by Valarie and another employee by the name of Sarah. They both wanted to know what was it that I needed? Right away, they captured my attention because of their great, upbeat, lovely, helpful personalities. I told them I needed 2 things. A nice vase & a Frying Pan. They literally took me to both aisles and showed the things to me; and I instantly fell in love with both the frying pan and the vase. My vase that I had for at least 7 years, accidentally fell and broke into pieces. I do have 6 other ones, but that was my FAVORITE!! Store was in a very nice condition, easy to navigate and was clean!! Along the way as I was browsing, other things caught my eye. I ended up buying this unique shaped large bowl that you can put fruit, vegetables or whatever you need to use it for. I ended up buying few other things that I needed, wanted and liked. I got: 1 Room Spray, 2 blouses (for Spring/Summer) a candle, shoes, tap light. Comes in 3, 4 small, cute, practical bowls for everyday use, Spring Floral dishes ( comes in set of 4). Also got some cookies, candy, and one soda. I know that TJ Maxx is also affiliated with Home Goods & Marshalls. Prices varies from one thing to the next. They had good sale items and I will definitely go back if I happen to be in the area.. read more

It was easier to pull my own tooth than to buy a pan at this location. Came and tried to buy a pan. Price was missing on it. Employees took 10 minutes of my time to figure it out and came back with the wrong price for it. I told them it was 29.99 - and their response was - "why didn't you bring another pan like that with a price tag?" So here it is. I don't work at tj maxx. My job is to pick what I want - and pay for it. If you don't know how to do your job - don't ask me to do it. Stores are fighting online businesses - and part of the appeal is to help the customer. A little slow with customers.. asked for the price on products and took them a long time to find someone else in the store to get a price . Two products had a damage and she refused to give a discount. But they have some nice stuff at the store so still worth it to stop by. read more

I was just here for the first time and heard the cashier yell loudly, "is anyone going to help me on the registers?" And then she proceeded to talk to another employee about a different worker in the store. When going to pay later the line was long because there were only 2 or 3 employees on the registers. The woman behind me in line told me that there were other workers upstairs just talking to each other standing around and that they should be helping. Not the greatest first impression, and the selection was okay, but really not amazing. I think I'll try other locations before coming back. read more

The staff are great, always helpful but during a pandemic, seeing people without masks and not one employee asking them to put the mask back on, that's disappointing. Lines goes pretty quickly despite being pretty long even during the day. Store is always stocked with unique items both food and hygiene/makeup supplies. My hope is that a manager will see this and remind employees the importance of reinforcing this rule in their store. read more

Bare when it comes to dresses. A gorgeous store, but definitely beautiful on the outside, but not on the inside due to its unfriendly staff. Jewelry and handbag section is good. Shoe department is ehhh. Parking is great. But skip this one. They're just not friendly. I asked if they're hiring today and the cashier "coordinator" who couldn't even make eye contact with me and certainly couldn't smile either but then again when others smile she probably has no idea what that really means said "Maxsuda" would be up at the front. I would think that if she was interested she would at least come out and say "Hi" if nothing else. Seems like the front end needs a CEM and was hoping to fill the void! Not interested! Absolutely the worse!!!!!!!!!!! Pegaha and Miriami were completely unhelpful didn't even wanna try to help. I purchased two dresses from the Westlake location kept one and returned the other end. They said it doesn't match their system. Just completely crazy. The manager Pegaha didn't even try to figure anything else out to help me as a customer her "brilliant" advice was to drive all the way back to Westlake Village !!! Came last night after having dinner/wine at Arcwood. I was looking for my favorite Hempz vanilla plum lotion. They didn't have it. I dud however fine some Philosophy marshmallow body wash, a cute clearance pair of white shorts for 10.00 and a package of macaroons. This store selections is lacking, but super clean and friendly cashiers make up for it. Parking is limited but I can always find something not to far away. I still prefer Marshall's for the best selection of women's clothes but this is close and world in a pinch. read more

I would say that this specific tj maxx is okay. Unfortunately, I will say that it is a bit dirty which is a bit disappointing for storing tarzana. I would expect a little bit more as well as honestly don't like that. The workers that are on the floor kind of follow you around. Not asked to see if you need help but to see if you're going to steal something. That was a big disappointment for me and the products can be a little dirty or opened here and there, so I would be a little wary if you're going to check them out read more

This location is so small and lines are always so long. The biggest areas of merchandise are the purses, suitcases and shoes. There's also a decent size area for cosmetics. Not a great location for home items. It is 2 stories with stairs and elevator access. read more

This store is always hood . Especially tonight; stellar employee Mahi was off her shift ( I found out later ) and I was behind her in line . We exchanged some pleasantries ... then she was at the cashier ( I was being nosy ) I saw them bring out an adorable skirt out to ring up . I said " oh that is so cute " she told me where to go find it . But alas, the line was too long behind me now , so I said I'd have to come back tomorrow. I have been shopping at TJ Maxx for decades. I absolutely love all of the things they have from clothing to dishware. They have a small selection for houseware, but I usually go to HomeGoods for that which is also owned by the same company. read more

STAFF NOT PRACTICING/ENFORCING SOCIAL DISTANCING Yes, it's cleans they are wearing masks. Staff members repeatedly rushing through store with product touching or immediately next to customers. But MOST IMPORTANTLY: No stickers on the ground or enforcement of space while in line for checkout. Was in line with 12 groups, all 2 feet from each other. Every other business has accommodated this obvious necessity for 6 months. Somehow TJ Maxx Tarzana still has not caught on. Was uncomfortable in line the entire 15 minutes I waited and will not be returning. read more

I've been in a lot of different Tj-Maxxes and always had great experience , but definitely it was my last time visiting this specific one. My girlfriend was trying to organize the dresses she wanted to try in fitting room and she just putted them on towels in home section for a second to do that and one of the rude employees (Marina) was like "YOU CAN NOT PUT THEM ON THOSE THINGS AND YOU HAVE TO GO TO WOMEN SECTION OR FITTING ROOM TO DO THAT, " I got shocked and I was like are you serious now this is not a good attitude to show to a customer and even if you wanna tell you could be nicer and have better language and attitude. read more

Got invited to a shopping event that TJ Maxx held & opted to try this store. Blown away by the designer selection. Alexander McQueen?! Eat my heart out. Tons of great designer dresses. Another thing I liked was they didn't exclusively have dresses, they offer designer tops, slacks & blouses. Nice. Great location but I broke a sweat in the fitting room. As an avid spinner, it's not me being outta shape. It was hot as blazes in there with those lights! It's the valley people, crank the air for the fitting room! Buzz kill. The shoe selection was disappointing when compared to the clothes but I guess every location cannot have it all. I scored in the home goods selection, spotting some Nicole Miller products but i think that was just luck because that department too, was small. The line was long and very slow moving. The cashier also was clueless about the TJ Maxx non credit card reward card. Annoying. Between that & the hit fitting room, dropping a star. To end on a high note though, they've got parking which is convenient. read more

Excellent selection if you're a dress down jeans and t-shirt kinda of person... yet still the deals are rare so you won't find many bargains here. You'll definitely be more likely to discover fun things if you're a woman or identify as female vs. anything in the men's and boys section... I try, but I can't dress in middle aged dad, elementary style or I give no f***s attire... so I usually walk out with an accessory or just walk out (mostly this one). Off selection of just about everything... I sometimes come in to get socks... but that's pretty much the only thing worth wearing or buying here. The bedding, home goods and "beyond" "departments" are usually always chaotic... I'm afraid to move around the organized clutter then see a price tag that would be a better deal anywhere else within a 2 mile radius. I wish Home Goods (the store) carried clothes. Home Goods has better service and better selection... this TJ Maxx is Maxxed OUT. I'm sorry, I'm going to ross... Pros: Parking shared with Whole Foods Market (next door) in underground parking with elevators for handicapable access outside and inside the store. 10 minutes before closing and the own manager as we were walking in we were pushed out and she pushed the door on us because they wanted to close early I guess but she shouldn't have done it in that matter almost hurting us it says they close at 8 and when asked why we couldn't come in she said because there was already a long line which doesn't make sense because all I wanted to do was return an item wasted my time and my gas which is not cheap right now! read more

I love TJ Maxx, the one near my house in Sherman Oaks closed down so I came here. The lady at the dressing room was soooooo rude to me. I tried 3 dresses and put them back on the rack myself after because 1 dress was a bit off I didn't like the fit, the other one is a bit tight on the chest area, the other one was nice but too short, I saw exactly the same dress that the other woman had tried on I then asked her nicely "what size is that"? She then goes and told me. "You go check, you check it what size! In an annoyed toned and proceeded to tell me to go find a dress not on the runway/designer rack and said "you have to have a good body to look good in them" she pointed out the rack of dresses where she told me where I should find dresses for me.
