How long it took to get a shelf unlocked
Philippe M.

One of the worst Targets around. Never mind the smaller size and selection, that's understandable. So many things are under locked shelves it's unusable. These are not "working to serve you better" and team members are not nearby and ready to help. Correction: there are team members around but they don't have the key. Why? Give them a key and it will go faster. This store is epically mismanaged.

I generally love coming to this Target location. The value of items is ok...we are in a recession after all. It's always well stocked and clean. But this review is regarding service. Twice in about a month I needed to get one of the locked items. Both times were in the mornings. I called for help and no one came. Each time I had to go find an employee for help. Why even have the help device. Both times there were at least 4 or 5 employees together. Are they even alerted when someone needs help at the locked items??? Please do better.

If you need to pickup some things and need a Target open later than most post Covid, it's a Monday night and they were open until 10pm. I don't know their hours daily but nighttime I find is generally a good time to shop if you like zooming up and down isles and getting in and out quicker. Realistically my own logic also tells me that Target knows less people come at night too and so that would call to staff less people. I'd rather have quality than quantity though and I def received quality service at this target tonight. I was immediately helped by a guy working the floor named CASEY - he was CRAZY (as in GOOD) KIND! He walked me where sale items were and helped me gather up two items I needed from the locked cages! Thank you Casey. Another really friendly & helpful guy was the person at the register! Side note: He's GOT TO have a cool Mama-- his name is "DEVON" -"Devon" just sounds like a chill person who's cool, right?;) - since Target was closing and I couldn't go back the way I came, Devon walked me to the elevator because I parked on the street! I felt as if I were in a Target one might find in the South and with men we find who HAVE THESE skills! Southern hospitality aka: kindness like a flavor, vibe, attitude, much more than longitude and lat. but I might suggest someone check out a bigger stocked target if time and patience are an issue that day. And if shopping during day-walker-hours when more people shop. In looking on the Target app beforehand because I was short on time I was able to make sure this Target had the MAIN item/s I needed, first. It took me under 20 seconds to do that and in the process I figured out that this encino Target is I guess what they refer to as " A SMALL FORMAT" store. Interesting. I learned that literally MEANS the locations purpose isn't to BE a Target that carries all stock and restocks continuously. Interesting.. These small format Stores from what I read act like a little sibling and by the nature of what it is for the corporation, carries less then their bigger siblings (that's the only metaphor that came to me! Sorry!) least I can now shop without getting pissed-off. I didn't experience waiting tonight but these product cages with certain items locked up and no one running to open it, I totally agree and have absolutely felt "WHERE IS EVERYONE THAT WORKS HERE to open this so I can leave??!?" It is a huge PITA now so many businesses have locked cages for items not always explainable either. BUT...I'd have to blame those robbing Targets! Ever google what the top stores grossly affected shoplifters?? I had to recently for someone else on the east coast for a supermarket called ShopRite and I was shocked! I couldn't believe the numbers per day! I have to go places knowing this will happen. Could target corporation tell everyone and explain what "small format" is and that they are it? Make a bigger deal so we would all know this lol? Totally. But I did just ask Target employees when I got there why they didn't carry everything and why they don't refill stock on items that sell. I wanted to actually confirm. They told me the exact same thing about this encino location calling this target a Small Format store. Googling the item I needed ahead of time and discovering what this stores purpose actual is....only helped ME. I also avoided walking into this Target expecting something else. Honestly though, they had everything I needed so maybe have your own experience and see what happens because tonight I got southern and gentlemanly, "hospitality TARGET" in Encino CA. Do I expect every encino target employee to give me that experience? I at least try to live in reality and nothing and no one in life is "always" anything. I also directly asked why Target doesn't tell people this locations "small format" and I was told that when asked they tell everyone and asked why an items not in stock or why the lack of help on the floor they said they explain how they are a small format target. Oh and I also learned that the floor staff get TEXTED when we click that button to get something from inside of those locked cages!! That's very cool to know! I thought some light they'd never see went off in the back lol. Xo

This honestly feels like the smallest and most random Target we've ever been to! We've been to other "express" Targets and not sure if this one is also considered an express one but it's definitely loaded with some rare finds. We only dropped by here a few times because it's across from Shake Shack and we would visit after having lunch. Super random but we found a TON of Animal Crossing packs/cards at this location! They're almost always sold out at other locations but this one always has amazing stock. The other thing is their alcohol beverage section! They have a nice selection with really good clearance. We dropped by the other day to get some travel essentials and found the cutest Bob-omb plush which we've never seen at other locations. Immediate buy! It's still much smaller than other locations so don't expect much from it but it's definitely still a good Target for quick needs. IG: @ammysalamii

I went in looking for a birthday gift for a 1 year old. I checked their toy section and I am glad they have the item that I was looking for. I checked their women's section also. They did have some clearance stuff that caught my eye. All in all it was a good time.

They've implemented this, which means I'll never be back to this location.

Ask the Community - Target

Does anybody ever answer the phone at this store?

Nope and I've actually been trying to call all morning, several departments and after a certain amount of rings, it automatically hangs up. It's super frustrating.

Michael and Charles along with manager Jason were extremely helpful and kind when I needed to exchange a box of diapers for a different size.

Willy Wonka, as he introduced himself, had the best customer service--he was polite, not pushy. And he was honest in answering our questions about price, delivery, and disposal of old furniture. When you see this store from the outside and even as you walk in, you'd think it cannot possibly compete with larger stores like Living Spaces or Ashley...BUT boy, are you in for a surprise! The furniture I purchased here had a label that is from Ashley Direct. And I'm pretty sure that Ashley Furniture would have charged me at least two times more than what I paid at Furniture Corner. They delivered on the same day, everything is new and unwrapped in front of you. The delivery crew in 2022 and 2026 were the same men. Really nice people. They were so kind and just overall, happy to help. Furniture Corner is a family-owned business that is ran by honest merchants. It is such a great asset to the Reseda / Northridge community. Wishing them many more years of successful business! Thank you for being a morally-upright business in this sometimes crazy world. I hope you continue to provide high-quality furniture at reasonable prices.
