I stopped by this Target today to get some baby tyneol for our baby girl. I found parking easily in the parking lot at the back of the Encino Courtyard. This Target is two stories and most of the stuff I wanted was on the top level. Some stuff are locked up so be aware. They had four self checkout station on the second floor but two were not working. They also had cashier station as well, I found everything I needed easily. I also went downstairs to check what they had there. This is the least super of any target I've ever been to they don't carry eyeglass repair kits. They don't carry drawer liners. They don't carry at home dry cleaning kits. This target is small, but mighty! It's so easy to order for Drive up pick up here. There is so much ample parking in the underground structure and drive up spaces are usually empty. I have experienced really nice customer service here most of the time, but on other occasions, the employees seem a little checked out. Especially because they typically only keep the registers on the top floor open. So if you park underground and shop on the bottom floor, you have to go upstairs to pay and then come back down. It would be a lot more convenient if they kept at least one checker open on the bottom level. Usually there's only like one self checkout lane open, at least that's the case later in the evening. The clothing selection here definitely isn't the best, but I always find what I need here. It's also nice that this is a target that carries alcohol! There is a Starbucks on the entry level right at the front of the store, which makes it very convenient to come and go quickly if all you want to do is grab a coffee. They have a lot of great seasonal items, groceries, and a really big beauty section. Also a great baby section! Don't underestimate this tiny Target. read more

You have to BE CAREFUL IF USING THE SELF CHECKOUT. It's happened to me TWICE already that I started scanning my items, only to discover that someone else had already scanned something. Then it gets added to YOUR bill. The first time I didn't notice until I got home and checked the receipt. Someone had scanned $20 worth of candy. I went to customer service the following week and they refunded it since I didn't buy it. But it happened AGAIN a few weeks later. That time I caught it before paying. I suspect it was intentional, done by someone who shoplifted. So just be careful if using the self checkout and make sure no items were scanned before you start scanning your items! read more

I generally love coming to this Target location. The value of items is ok...we are in a recession after all. It's always well stocked and clean. But this review is regarding service. Twice in about a month I needed to get one of the locked items. Both times were in the mornings. I called for help and no one came. Each time I had to go find an employee for help. If you need to pickup some things and need a Target open later than most post Covid, it's a Monday night and they were open until 10pm. I don't know their hours daily but nighttime I find is generally a good time to shop if you like zooming up and down isles and getting in and out quicker. Realistically my own logic also tells me that Target knows less people come at night too and so that would call to staff less people. I'd rather have quality than quantity though and I def received quality service at this target tonight. Side note: He's GOT TO have a cool Mama-- his name is "DEVON" -"Devon" just sounds like a chill person who's cool, right?;) - since Target was closing and I couldn't go back the way I came, Devon walked me to the elevator because I parked on the street! I felt as if I were in a Target one might find in the South and with men we find who HAVE THESE skills! This honestly feels like the smallest and most random Target we've ever been to! We've been to other "express" Targets and not sure if this one is also considered an express one but it's definitely loaded with some rare finds. We only dropped by here a few times because it's across from Shake Shack and we would visit after having lunch. Super random but we found a TON of Animal Crossing packs/cards at this location! They're almost always sold out at other locations but this one always has amazing stock. The other thing is their alcohol beverage section! They have a nice selection with really good clearance. We dropped by the other day to get some travel essentials and found the cutest Bob-omb plush which we've never seen at other locations. Immediate buy! Customer service at this store is nonexistent. You have to buzz for help with locked items, and employees walk by and completely ignore you. Once you finally get their attention they act as if they are doing you a favor. They're very disrespectful. Also, the bathroom has a buzzer and you have to wait ages for someone to open it. The person who opened it, again acted as if I was interrupting her day. I went into the restroom and floors were very dirty and there was no toilet paper. Your associates saw me drive up and began having a full on conversation without alerting another service member that I was there and waiting. Had I not entered the store and requested my order, would I have received it by your store's closing(10pm)? Your app claimed, after 10 minutes of my waiting (unusual experience for me while waiting for Target drive up orders), that there was an unusual number of guests and that that would delay my order before I demanded help. Upon entering your store, I saw no shortage of available customer associates. Your store is a joke. It was my first time coming, and IT WILL BE MY LAST! Anyone reading this should avoid this store as it does, as previous reviewers stated, look like it has limited stock. And, based on my experience, has poor customer service! TERRIBLE! This Target is on 2 levels with confusing parking in relation to where the front entrance is and the exits on each level. I only came here from West LA because this Target was only one to still have stock of a Peanut Butter I like that was caught in a supply shortage. I was looking online and it said that it has 9 units when no other Target had any units or just had 1. When I got here I learned why this store had 9 units--it's because it's in the basement and hard to find. I am glad that it is so confusing here--no one was able to find and buy my peanut butter so I was able to stock up a bit by going through some effort. read more

Downstairs is dollar spot, market, liquor (including hard liquor), pets, etc. Upstairs/ street level has kids toys & clothes, home goods & organizing, electronics etc. There's also a Starbucks near entrance. All departments are like a mini version of a regular size Target. You can already order online for pickup ( pickup in downstairs area). Everyone there seems super welcoming, helpful & excited to be there. Danny the closing manager is amazing. Option to park underground or in huge lot behind the building. EXTREMELY RACIST!!! I went in for Advil and was watched and followed the whole time. The Advil is behind a security case, and the person watching/following never offered to open the case. I waited 5 minutes, then found a different team member to help me! Keep in mind I was at the advil counter first. A white woman comes up, and the team member ignores me and asks how I can help you. Because she is a kind and decent human, she goes, "She asked you for help first."!! He then turns, gives me the most evil look, and helps me out. I was excited when I saw target opening up near western bagel. It's nice, new and clean. The reason for the 2 star review is that this isn't a normal target. This location is a Target express. Do NOT buy gift cards at this location. We went here today to pick up some gift cards for school teachers at my kids school. Not only did the cards not have any balance on them after the cashier scanned them. But the cashier and the manager were unable to refund the money we spent on the cards in the first place. The excuse is that the gift cards are handled through a third party company and Target is unable to refund anything. They told us to call our credit card company and refute the charges. What a joke.
