I bought some sheets at Marshall's in Tustin last night. I tried the sheets out to find out that they were too small. The next day I went to the placenta location to exchange them since I figured they may have a better selection. Sergio the manager refused to exchange them for me. He claimed that I stained them and made me take them all the way back to Tustin. Poor customer service and not at all understanding what so ever. He seemed to be on the defense the min I walked up to the register. It's time for new MGMT Marshall's this guy is trouble for your reputation unless this is what your going for. This has to be one of the better Marshals. I was scrambling to find a High end handbag as a Christmas gift. Yes Marshals does carry name brand bags at a very good price. She will never know that I did get bag at Macy's or Nordstrom. The ladies were great helping me pick out a nice style. read more

So it was a shopping day today. =) I like coming to this location bc it's fairly new, and very neat and clean. Plus it's right next door to a Ross, so I can hit two spots in one stop. BTW, that Ross next door I almost always come out empty handed. I don't know why I even go in there anymore. Plus this location is never as busy as the one in Fullerton on Harbor. Usually I come here for housewares, hair care, or food products. Everything is always really neat (before I get there that is) and there's lots of selection. Today I got a Raspberry Balsamic for $1.99 (small bottle), and some Tarragon mustard from France also for $1.99. I checked out the clothes, which I usually never see anything I want to try on, and this time I found a bunch of shorts that were cute! I need more shorts. I'm really ready to not have pasty white legs once again this summer. They also have a huge selection of jeans and tops in the "cube" which is the juniors section, and again everything is neat and organized. The prices here are a few dollars more than what you'd pay at Ross, but the style selection and the organization I think makes up for it. They have a small shoe section here, and I usually don't find anything my style, but last time I scored a pair of boys' Puma suede sneakers on clearance for $22! They were probably on clearance bc they are purple and red suede, and I can't really imagine a boy wanting to wear these. But yea for me, bc I love purple and red. This store had the worst management with costumer service. I walked in with 2 pair of jeans I had bought a week ago and wanted my money back. I had my receipt and tags unattached never worn. Manager said they looked worn and refused to return them or give store credit. On top of being accused of wearing them he didn't give me an alternative to my purchase. It's better than Ross. Sorry Ross. I will say this I am very happy they moved in. Did not want to have a big empty space in this shopping center. We have found some good brand names and do find ourselves swinging by when we can. The customers can be hit and miss depending on when you go. This Marshalls location opened up within the past year or so in the same plaza as Ross, which is just a few stores down. Every time I come into the store, all the racks are always well organized and the aisles clean. It's quite different than the Marshalls near my house, which is the total opposite. The deals here aren't just as great as the Ross next door but Marshalls does carry better brands as compared to Ross, thus the higher prices. The selection for shoes is also a bit limited. Customer service has been okay for me. Through my multiple visits, I've only purchased 1 item and checkout was a breeze. One can usually find a parking spot in an aisle right in front of the store. read more

Do not shop here. Customer service very poor. Policies very unaccommodating. Its very obvious the cashiers are told to act a certain way, they are all very strange. I just thought it was the one time that I happened to get a strange cashier, but every time I go the cashier is bizarre!! One time a young cashier had no front teeth, not that that can't happen for some reason, maybe she was getting implants or something, but at least let her work some place else in the store till she has a full set of teeth. Fitting room employees are the same. Ive never experienced such a strange place. I think today was it for me. For a store so bizarre and junky they should be more accommodating, or something!!! I love Marshall's! I am always shopping here, at least once a week! I know I have a problem. I prefer TJ Max it's put together and they have a better selection. But Marshall's is across the street from where I live, so sometimes it's convenient. I really never have any problems with customer, always friendly and helpful. I was in there a few weeks ago trying to find the perfect pillows for our new couch, I was having a really hard time finding that right color. I thought what the heck, let's look in the clearance section! What do you know, I find a two pack with the color I was actually looking for, with a double clearance red tag that says $6!!! Sore!! They had a whole selection of pillows marked down. I was so excited! I never get amazing deals. As I made my way to the check out, the women that rang up all my purchases had seen that my pillows had a clearance red tag for $6 she immediately went over to the store manager had shown her the red tag. The manager looked at me and started to pick off the red tag. The women that was ringing up my purchases came over to me and said that the pillows had been missed marked and that the price was actually $19.99, I told her NO they clearly say $6 and that they have a shelf full in the back with all kinds of pillows for around the same price. She said it was a mistake and now they are going to have to go to the clearance section and take all the pillows down. I had asked if I could have my pillows back she said only if I was willing to pay the full price of $19.99, I said no that I wanted them back. The manager comes over and tells me that the SKU number was even different and it didn't match the original SKU, trying to make it seam like I had put the red clearance sticker on myself! I told her it was against California law to change the price on a customer and charge more money then what the actual amounts states. I told her I wanted the pillows back, she told me no, and ripped off the clearance red tag and told me I could wait for her to make a new tag with the regular price for $19.99. I really could believe I was actually going through this! I left the store so upset just not at the fact that I wasn't getting my pillows for the price that was stated, but for the fact that I was feeling accused for the red tag price. As soon as I got to my car, I called customer service and filled a complaint. They said they would have someone contact me within 24-48 hours, well no one ever called me back! I was really, really disappointed!! I mean I have a credit card through this company and spend so much time and money in all their stores! And this is a he way they treat there customers!!! read more

Went in to grab a armband for my phone and saw quite a variety at low prices. However I wanted to open up a package to see if my phone would fit and discovered the package was taped shut. I frequent Marshalls quite a bit and I often buy way to much. I go through my closet every now and then and return clothes the clothes that I never wore. The price tags are still in tact and I also keep the receipts just in case. Today I was trying to return some items and ADRIAN the supervisor said that I was unable to because the receipts were no longer in his system. What? He continues to tell me that returns can only be made a few months past the 30 days of purchase because then they no longer are in the system. I came home and called thier headquarters to verify if this was corrwct. ADRIAN flat out LIED!!! Marshalls and TJ Maxx will return undamaged items as long as you have the tags still intact. Furthermore if you have the receipt there is no experation date for returns, you will get store credit! ADRIAN need to be retrained! read more

The selection was quite slim today and I didn't feel the prices were all that great, but I found what I was looking forward and both associates I dealt with were pleasant. They had massive "clearance" signs everywhere and there was a ridiculous red feather vest I would have purchased but it just wasn't the right price. read more

Well, let me just say I don't really understand Marshall's. They act and look like an off price store, but I compared prices with the adjacent Ross store, and Marshall's prices seem to be about double what Ross' priced the items I looked at. I was looking for linens. I can't say they are exactly the same item, But there was plenty at Ross for $20-$44. Marshall's seemed to start at about $48. The prices seemed much higher here. As I said, I was not comparing identical items, since these two stores mostly carry closeouts. They have what they have at the time you visit. But one of a kind mixed up items are what both have, not like you could get the same linens in King, Twin and in Cal King. So this is definitely a store where you can get mixed up stuff. I think the prices should be lower, and clearly that is possible as I found at the Ross. Prices should reflect the mixed up non-full line nature of the off price store. The clothing might be a different story, I can't really say since I didn't look, and that is intentional. I want to find a shirt I like in the color I like, so I like to have all the sizes on hand in all the styles, this type of clearance store doesn't usually have that so I shop elsewhere. read more

You never know what you are going to find at Marshall's or Ross, or any other discount store. I like going to these discount clothing stores because I like to buy random clothes that I don't need or only need for that one special occasion. They have lots of activewear at these stores that include basketball sweatshirts, jerseys, and shirts. The prices are very tolerable and cheap considering the normal price would be at least double the Marshall's price. It's one of those stores where it can make your whole day if you find that one special random item! read more

I frequent this Marshalls pretty often since it is close to home. I was looking for a yoga mat, 8lb weights, and work out gloves. I had been to Target right before so I knew I could probably find everything cheaper at Marshalls and I was right! At Target the same items yoga mat $25, weights $18, workout gloves $13 would've come out to $50+ for those three items. When I went to Marshalls I found the yoga mat for $13, 8lb weights for $12, workout gloves for $5, and I was able to get a workout arband for my cell phone for $5, a weighted jump rope for $6, a resistance band for $5. In total I paid $50 at Marshalls but I got double the items I would've got at Target and most of my items were on clearance too. Check the clearance section people! Great finds in the clearance section! read more

The prices are extremely affordable and most of the goods are in their original pack and in a good condition. Personally, I go there for furniture and kitchen supplies so I am judging it by that. I really recommend visiting it if you have recently moved in or remodeled your house. read more

A few weeks ago I purchased 2 items. They were separate transactions one right after the other. After trying one of the blouses on i realized it was too big and needed to return it. I clipped the tags but kept them together with the item. My mom went down to the store to return the item and first found out that she had the wrong receipt and then the sales girl scanned the tags she had and told her that the item didn't even exist! Really? She said the Marshalls tag was for a blue shirt, not the white blouse we had. The white blouse had it's own tags from the manufacturer and the girl said they never carried that item! My mom comes back and I am looking for the receipt that went with that blouse and it was misplaced. I called and spoke to the manager Sergio, told him what happened and gave him the receipt number I had for the first item and asked him to please look up the very next transaction. He found it, confirmed the last four on the credit card and everything. He said because the item didn't have the original receipt and tags still attached he could only give me store credit. I asked him to even look up on the surveillance video to prove we purchased a white blouse with a tag that was supposedly for a blue top. He said that would take a long time and he'd have to request loss prevention to look into it. I said fine i'll just get store credit. So he said to bring the item and ask for him. Ok so my mom goes down there again and instead of just giving her store credit, he actually takes her around the store trying to find out where she found the item, trying to make it seem like she brought some strange item into the store, ripped a tag off something else and tried to get money for it!!! Really? After I just called and spoke with you? You are going to treat my mom like that? It is obviously a mistake that YOU made putting the wrong tag on an item and then you have the audacity to claim an item never existed in your store when you had no problem charging my credit card!?? Both the manager and the sales girl stood there examining the item like it was from somewhere else. Hey some advice to you Sergio, go take a look at your video footage and watch us purchase that white blouse that "doesn't exist." You ended up giving the store credit in which we have no desire to ever shop there again and worst of all you did it so painfully which would leave a bitter taste in anyone's mouth. read more

ATTENTION MARSHALL SHOPPERS! THE CUSTOMER SERVICES SUCK! NO OPTIONS for YOUR RETURN! I have experienced two unsatisfactory visits to this particular Marshalls store in Placetia Town Center. They have always made the return process really difficult and unpleasant. There is never any other options for their customers, and the cashier doesn't seem to care about customer services and have no critical thinking skills. there is only one option, bring your receipt!!!!!! or no return/exchange. For example, In today's return, I had just opened Marshall's credit card last week and used it to purchase 13 items. I need to return a handbag because it's too small. The item has tag on and it was unused/brand new, which I just brought last week(obviously within 30 days return period). I brought my credit approval package/print out, which has my new card # on it and a receipt appear to be a "suspend ID" receipt that I thought it's a real receipt. The cashier refused to do the return. and I suggested that the item # and price on the :"suspended ID" receipt and tags on the handbag is actually the same. I also suggested if they can look it up since I have the credit approval package and the new card #. nope, can't do both. The cashier also didn't offer to give store credit, exchange, or any options that a customer may have. It is their lost that I will shop somewhere else where it has much better customer services. and I am canceling my Marshalls credit card today(which the cashier said please go ahead and do it, they have no problem with it!!!!! after I attempted to solve this receipt problem, really?!). Unfortunately I will not recommend Marshalls to my friends and families. Guess what! I found my "real" receipt for that handbag. and I will return all items I purchased within 30 days WITH a receipt. I went into the store to get some notebooks. I picked out the same notebooks the only difference was color and the saying on the front of the notebook. These notebooks are made by the same manufacturer but one notebook was $4.99 one was $5.99 and one was $6.99. I asked them why all of them weren't the same price and I asked if they honor the $4.99 price and they said no. They tried to tell me that the difference in price is because the saying on the front of the book is different which makes absolutely no sense. The Marshall's in Placentia on Yorba Linda Blvd. has the worst customer service I've ever had the misfortune of experiencing! They're a bunch of young kids at the cash register who don't know what good customer service is and they treat the customer like crap! It's sad. Avoid this location at all costs! read more

Terrible customer service. The minute you walk up to the register to return something they go and check to see if it is same item in their system. They come back and say the tags do not match. It's funny... I Never removed the tags from the items. I asked what the system says... She says oh I can't tell you. Sounds like they just don't like taking returns. I've always had a good experience shopping there and the daytime manager has always been about customer service and reaching out to the community. I shop there often because my kids have TKD lessons next door. Tonight I go to return a item that is defective with no receipt thinking i'm probably going to get what the value is today; not last weeks price. Without a receipt, I get. So I tell the cashier my story and makes me wait a while because the manager can't get his price gun or whatever he is playing with to work. Other cashiers are waiting on him and the lines get longer. He never looks up to see what's going on. The cashier finally comes back and and tells me he can't do anything because the item has been discontinued. Clearly the item is from Marshalls because the sticker is still on it. I ask him to call the manager and the arrogant elderly gentleman who is still playing with his device comes over and tells me the something. I say its worth like $4.00 so I don't make a big deal and would have spent a $100 with my kids next to me. So instead of being customer friendly, he says look at the customer service number and call it if you don't like it. I live across the street and will never shop there again and will tell all my neighbors to do the same. What good is being a manager if he can't handle customer service with some courtesy. Do they even train them on this or hope they figure it out? NO CLASS!!! read more

I had a very pleasant experience with a return at this store . Not being one to often return purchases, I foolishly tossed the receipt for a pair of jeans that did not fit. The sales associate was happy to give me store credit which I thought very fair under the circumstances. Love having such a clean and neat store in the neighborhood! read more
