I had a very disappointing experience at this store due to being misinformed by the cashier. While checking out, the cashier appeared new and unfamiliar with the process. She told me I could receive a discount if I simply answered "3 questions." Before agreeing, I specifically asked multiple times if this would affect my credit or involve a hard inquiry, especially when I noticed it was asking for my Social Security number. Each time, she clearly told me no, and said it was "only for rewards/Discount." Shortly after completing the questions, she said, "Congratulations, you've been approved for a $500 credit line," which was completely unexpected and not what I agreed to. I never intended to apply for a credit card. Because of this, a hard inquiry was placed on my credit report, and I had to immediately call and close the account. This experience felt misleading and dishonest. Regardless of experience level, customers should be clearly informed when they are applying for a credit card, especially when it impacts their credit. Transparency is extremely important, and this was not handled properly. I hope management takes this seriously and ensures employees are properly trained so this does not happen to others. read more

Been here a couple times when I'm in the area and have gotten some good finds. Today, there was a long line for the register that went to the back of the store! But I guess that should be expected during peak holiday shopping. It's in a good shopping plaza with other stores to shop and food places. Lots of parking! read more

Marshall's, TJ Maxx, and Home Goods are my favorite bargain-hunting stores. They belong to the same company. It tells me how good the purchasing department or their buyers are. They found all the good deals. So we can do our bargain-hunting! Marshall's has all the excellent quality items sold for much deeper discounted prices than most companies. Sometimes, it was more than 75% off compared to the department stores or even the wholesale warehouse clubs' prices. This store is clean and well organized. The workers are friendly and helpful. The checkout line is moving quickly. I enjoy my shopping here. read more

As far as Marshall's stores go, this is a pretty good one! I've probably been in here hundreds of times. Most recently, I stopped by this afternoon in search of a potential doormat. While I didn't find any doormats that I liked (I ended up buying one from Lowe's online), I did find a really cute pair of black athletic pants for $9.99, which I am actually wearing as I write this. If I were in the market for cast iron right now, I definitely would have bought some here, because they had a ton of great deals. I noticed a variety of Lodge brand dutch ovens, which normally sell for about $50+, on clearance for $36. (There were other brands, too, but I didn't even check the prices on those, as I'm a big fan of Lodge.) On my way up to the register, I spotted lots of cute Valentine's dresses. I had to remind myself several times that I do NOT need any more dresses... Some things that I was not looking for today, but have purchased here in the past include kitchen necessities, boots, jewelry, hair products, makeup, posters, candles, home goods, toys, etc. Customer service is usually pretty good. The fitting room attendant and cashier who helped me today were both very friendly. Overall, this is a good location. I'll probably keep shopping here for as long as they're open. read more

I have shopped at Marshalls for years in Folsom. The store has always been in the past clean and organized. The last time I was in the store I've noticed it been not clean in the bathrooms, as well as un-organized. The cosmetic areas looked cluster and disorganized. I typically don't leave negative reviews but the older woman at the try-on counter was EXTREMELY rude to me. Whoever was working the counter on 03/12/24 between 12:00-1:00PM needs to be spoken to by management about her behavior towards customers. I have never been treated so poorly by somebody in customer service in my entire life. I work in customer service and I would NEVER speak to anybody that way, let alone a customer. The clearance dresses were not sorted what so ever on every rack. Never experienced a Marshall's like this before. Also the sizing seemed way off and it didn't help that it's unbelievably hot in the changing rooms with humidity. Nice jewelry and home decors. Dressing room attendant was helpful and friendly. I really like this company and this location. I came here recently on a mission to buy a pair of shorts for my 4 year old who's rapidly growing, sports bra for me and workout pants. I ended up finding all of those things, plus way more! I'm always loving the options I find- the brands and the lower prices feels like a steal! I suggest not bringing kids, having patience, and enjoy. If you take the time out to search and look, you can find some really awesome stuff. I always find top name brand clothing for much cheaper. Plus there's shoes, toys, small gifts, home decor, etc... Every time I know I have company coming by my house, I love to stock up on my candles, this place is best. I can always find the top of the line designer candles for super low of a price! My suggestion is W+L brand! The candles last forever, they have the best scents, and the best shape: perfect for when the wick gets too low and you're able to reach. Sometimes its a hit and miss, with what kind of great deal i can find. The only way to find the best deal is to check back frequently and sometimes i can find something i don't need but then i really want at a really great price. I love the location of this place because it is in a shopping complex right next to my favorites stores nearby. Its like a one stop for all my shopping needs. On the left is ross and on the right is michaels. Also parking is easy to find so thats a plus for this location. The store in general is pretty organized and easy to navigate through out the store. Some of my favorite sections is the home goods clearance aisle. I like finding cool or unique kitchen ware or just different looking mugs. The mens clothing part can be improved on making the selection a little bigger. I feel that they lack in the casual name brand clothes. Their clearance mens clothing section is so so, i haven't found anything or memorable from this section. I do like the miscellaneous and gadget section near the front of the store, which is right by the mens department. They have some cool looking phone cases, chargers, and like random stuff i don't need, but then i see it and i want it. When I spent three days in El Dorado Hills recently, I stopped into this Marshall's. Checked out shoes. Not a bad selection! Found cute, basic black Impo boots (see pic) for $29.99. Love the pointy toes, and LOVE the comfort. They don't look it, but are as comfortable as tennies. Minus one star for more than a little skanky-looking merchandise overall. Nonetheless, Marshall's is all about the big "find," and I definitely found mine. read more

I am a fan of never paying full priec for anything and Marshalls allows me to keep to this rule of thumb. Love coming to this Marshalls! They always have great deals and products everytime I go. I really love shopping in their shoe section. They have great designer labels such as Lucky, Michael Kors, Coach, Nike and Me Too. My husband found really awesome New Balances for $39. No joke. I have purchased a handful of shoes from Marshalls and they never seem to disappoint. Their Women's and Juniors Clothing Sections are amazing! If you look through their clearance rack (and if you have patience) you can find some great deals. They have a decent purse and luggage section. I once saw a beautiful Michael Kors purse at a reasonable price but when I came back to look for it, it was gone! Bummer. Their Home Goods sections is pretty nice as well. I always find great things like discounted candles, home decor, frames, towels, bedding, and more. You really can't beat some of their prices. I must have decorated half my home with products from Marshalls. Customer service here is excellant. Their return policy is pretty standard. I have only gone once for a return and they were nice about the item not fitting properly. They took back my return and I was happy. read more

Was just overcharged at least $24 just minutes before closing. I was suspicious by the amount so when I got in the car I counted the items and the items on the receipt and I had been over charged I went immediately and knocked on window to which hey said come back tomorrow I said I had been overcharged and that I needed my rightful money back but was completely ignored and they walked away from the window. I do not give two star reviews lightly. This review is based off a recent shopping experience. I purchased some booties at the Marshalls store in Roseville, since these booties have quite a high heel I asked about the return policy. I was told within 30 days with a receipt. After wearing these shoes around the house on Sunday I realized that after about 30 minutes it is very painful to stand or walk. I would call the booties 'restaurant shoes' meaning you will be ok to wear them from the car, to a restaurant and back. These are not shoes one would be able to walk around in. After discovering this I decided to return them (to the Folsom location as that's closer to me). The gal at the register was very nice. She had a store coordinator named Paige come over who looked at the shoes and rudely stated they will not return them. 'I can't return them! They are used! It's out of my hands!' Well whose hands is it in? Used? I asked to speak with a store manager who I hope has a better understanding of customer service. I spoke with manager Maria D. who refused to return the shoes stating that they are 'used'. She didn't offer much additional information other than that. The two stars I did give are based on the pleasant looking store, cleanliness of the racks and the likable cashiers. I guess there was a reason they were on clearance. My only hope of returning these now would be to take an inconvenient trip to Roseville. Too bad read more

Prices are great and there's always a good deal for the kitchen, home decor, workout clothes, etc. The travel section is great and won't break the bank. One of the best Marshalls I've ever been to! I just love going to this location because it aaaalways has great stuff! The store is always overflowing with great products! Which does mean it can get a little cluttered at times, but the recent upgrades will be a big help. I also loooove how all Marshalls stores have just one main line! Unlike Ross where you have to hope pray and wish you picked the faster line :P The shoe selection is really big, as well as their dress, purse, and home/kitchen furnishings! And the best part, is that if you can't find something you need here, you can go over to Ross or Old Navy and find it because they're right next door! :) read more

Recently discovered this location--BUT DON'T GO HERE--It's so great, I don't want it to get spoiled!!!!! Tons of really great clothes and gift items. The store is nicely merchandised and VERY clean! Several friendly, helpful employees. Plus, during the holidays, its open 'til 10!!! I used to live near the Howe Ave location and that one stinks compared to here!!! This is my favorite Marshall's within the Sacramento county. It's very comparable to the Marshall's you'll find in Orange county.

I went to Marshall's today. They opened three days ago. I had read stories that the discount dealers were out of stock and the shelves would be bare. Not true! It was great! They opened right- clean everywhere, masks used, dividers between registers. There were so many great clothes on clearance and all Easter was 75% off! Every store should take a note from Marshall's on how to open safely during a pandemic. Great job Marshall's!!! read more

I was really impressed with this store. I work near the Marshall's on Howe avenue in Sac, so usually shop there. This store was so well organized, but, mostly, it was so clean and had such nice dressing rooms and readily available restrooms. At the other Marshalls I have been to you have to find an employee to let you into the restrooms ( which makes me feel like a criminal type) Also, several of the employees approached me to ask if I need any help finding anything. That has never happened before in any Marshall's store I have shopped in. Usually you have to tackle someone if you need help. Kudos, Folsom Marshall's!! read more

Great shoe selection, clean store, much more organized than Ross. It is hit or miss for housewares and pet supplies, but always worth browsing. They have a good toy selection; it is very convenient to be able to shop here for charity toy drives. The one thing I don't like is the repeated hitting up (in one transaction) to get their credit card. Certain checkout staff are more relentless than others; one of their older lady employees will ask me THREE times during one purchase. I really like Marshall's. It's close to Ross (another fave) and not too far from home. I love just browsing the store. It is my go-to for inexpensive but pretty towels, household accessories, and most of all discounted Calphalon pans & gourmet cookware. Having recently moved, I wanted a LOT of new stuff for our first house. I spent weeks in Marshall's finding this 'n' that to decorate the place. I bought my dishes, pans, cooking utensils,high thread count sheets, bedding, accessories, and misc. things here. You really can't find better deals on high thread count sheets! They also have a neat, but small, pet section. I like to pick up cheap toys for my dogs here. they love stuffed toys, but are "stuffie killers"...so I don't want to spend a fortune on something that MIGHT make it through the day. I can't say enough good things about the place: it's a LOT cleaner than some other Marshall's. They have a good selection, great prices, and people who are helpful if you need it... but don't follow you around asking if you need help constantly. (A pet peeve of mine). I like to look, and analyze in my head what I am going to use something for...and someone asking me if I need help every 3 seconds brings me back to 'the now' taking me away from this creative process. I shop for hours at a time picking up this or that. I often wondered what security thinks of me. LOL, just because I get into my own process so much. Circling aisles & pick up & putting down objects...sometimes repeatedly if I'm having a hard time deciding. Whatever they think, they've never hassled me. So, that's a plus! hahaha I like that it's a treasure hunt in a way...there's a lot of turn over. If you wait a month between visits you will have TONS of new things to check out. Today I'm hugely sorry that I've shopped and supported Marshall's for all these years. I tried a return today (from a purchase almost 6 months ago) with receipts and original tags attached .... but all they would do is give me a store credit instead of returning the charge to my credit card ... Yes, I know it is beyond the return period, but I had expected (and hoped) that because of the Covid confusion going on that the store would have been a little more accommodating. Sadly it seems that each organization has its own set of rules even thought we were supposed to be following "science and data" ... some big stores (like Walmart) have only just started accepting clothing returns, but it seems that Marshall's has accepted clothing returns for a long time ... who knew? ... suffice to say it is HUGELY disappointing that they are so unaccommodating. Don't have any option but to vote with my feet and shop somewhere else, but I surely will .... read more

Stop by here on my way up to the Celebrity Golf Tournament 2 weeks ago, since I ripped my shorts on the way up from the bay area. Being from the Sacramento area, I always knew the valley had something special versus the bay and wow was I shocked when I stopped here. The selection was great, they had much better shirts, pants, tanks tops vs what I see in the bay area, especially Foster City location and on top of that the people were EXTREMELY friendly, which was awesome and just really made my day! Anyway that being said it's a really good clean store, and when they have clearance it's usually great pricing!
