Review is strictly for the female who has a Pokémon pin on her lanyard working the cash register on Wednesday evening at 6:45 PM, SA #731323. I came in to return two dresses that I ordered online. No acknowledgement, no greeting, overall super disrespectful and ill mannered. She happily spoke to the customer before me and told him to "have a great day," but funny enough, I wasn't given the same treatment. Please consider another career if you don't want to treat all customers fairly and with a smile on your face. I said "thank you" twice and wasn't even acknowledged once. H&M is always busy with lots of people inside the store. This one in Folsom is no exception. This store is enormous, and many customers there try to find the clothes that they want. The prices of clothes and accessories in H&M are from low to medium with pretty good quality. They have clearance racks, and the price starts from a few dollars. The workers at the cashier counter are friendly and quick. The line is moving very fast. The parking in front of the store is hard to find parking. My first visit to an H&M store! This one is at Palladio Shopping Center on a big corner, across from the fountain. Lots of parking all around the center. The store is HUGE, well lit, well stocked, cheerful.... I am definitely not their key demographic but they were super nice to me (an old lady) and smiled and asked to help. I tried on some clothes and the attendant at the dressing room was very nice and efficient. The check out crew were both nice, warm and fast. I ended up buying three things and I love them all. They have everything - like a small department store. Womens clothes, Mens clothes and kids' clothes. Also a small selection of shoes and accessories. I will definitely come back and check it out again. I enjoyed this fun store. read more

I had bought a bathing suit here and wanted to return because the top did not fit well. The sales lady asked if I had worn the bathing suit and I was a little annoyed because I had literally tried it on twice once at home and at the store. To my horror, She pointed out a stain on the inside of the bikini bottom. Mind you, I ALWAYS wear undergarments when trying on suits and wash it before actually wearing it. So, I literally bought it stained!!! Gross!!! Of course they would not have believed me so I am stuck with a nasty bikini bottom. H and M please check your inventory before putting it back on the rack! This is a warning to everyone. And people for the love all that is sanitary!!! please wear undergarments when trying on swimsuits or underwear. I will be more diligent when checking before buying. The employees were very unfriendly. A employee was standing by the front organizing some items. Looked me dead and my face and didn't say anything. No greetings to me (a person of color) whatsoever. A white lady walks in after me. Not even 3 minutes apart. She's greeting her and asking her if she can help her find anything. Employees couldn't greet me or ask me did i need any help while i was in there for about 15 minutes. I continued to browse the store to see if i was ever going to get offered any assistance while. The employees could follow me around and pretend to be busy while spying on me. Very rude. I use to love shopping here but i guess Folsom is not happy with their new residents of color. We went to the Palladios bc the husband wanted to test drive a plug in Honda. Honda was having an event there. Since I had the baby we decided to stop by H&M across the event. The store is pretty clean and well organized. The staff here are friendly. I'm pretty sure it happens a lot but when I went to the dressing room it was an automatic that the sale staff gave me the larger room since my daughter was sleeping in her stroller. Why are people complaining about the employees service? I thought they've been so helpful every time I've gone in. They know when someone looks like they need help or when someone is on a mission and knows what they want and left alone (besides the greeting when you walk in). Wow today standing in line at the H&M in the Palladio we heard the girl behind the counter talk to another coworker referring to the customers waiting for the next register to open up as "stupid" and "can't read" and "oops did I just say that out loud?"... because there was a sign and 3 registers but the customers would form one line. Many couldn't hear the first soft spoken girl announce there were 3 lines through her mask and plexiglass. I called corporate to complaint and gave them the rude girls employee ID#. It amazes me that in these times when retail businesses are filing chap 11 and closing retail stores, a business would keep rude bitchy burnout employees around. Hopefully she gets fired. Of course this store is not glamorous like the ones in nyc, sf, and vegas. But hey i take as many hm stores as possible in sac cuz there is only one in folsom and roseville. . This store is much bugger than the roseville store. This store is quieter since its not in a mall mall more like outdoor plaza. . This area is beautiful to shop in during spring and summer. . So how do i normally shop to stay fabulous on a budget. First you need to shop and browse and touch and read labels for the materials. Next is don't expect to look for something because you won't find it. So when im not looking for something, i find it. Another trick is when its spring, the winter clothes go on sale, shop the classic, solid colors, color block styles which won't look out of style later on in fall or winter weather. Same as for spring and summer looks. Shop the clearance rack, which i have found stuff marked 80 percent off and more. When i find good deals i feel like a champ, and when people ask how do i shop? Well if your reading this review hope it helps, at least it works for me, sometimes i buy a size smaller to motivate self to workout and hope to fit into it by that season. . This store is organized, clean, lots of basics, classic, and modern styles. If your looking for more like artsy, special designer with hm, or like more trendy you prolly won't find it here. Those more special collection and trendier styles are more for the bigger stores like in sf and bigger cities. When I found out that they had a H&M store at Palladio, I was super excited. Having lived in NYC during grad school, H&M was everywhere (except California). I was looking forward to finding something cool and affordable for work and for play. The H&M is located towards the back of Palladio, near the theatres and across from Charlotte Russe. They had decent selection of fall items, trendy tops and cool workout clothes. Their selection of accessories are pretty wide and their Men's selection is good as well. My husband didn't find anything that he liked but it didn't deter me from shopping. I found a nice dress on sale for work for $15. Pretty awesome. I also found a skirt that I liked but might have to return it because I didn't love it. I was impressed by the sale section and their dressing room service was pretty nice. Their store is clean and but when I finally checked out there was only 1 person at the register and I waited for a long time to finally get helped. They really need more people helping at the registers, I feel like that's the customer's last impression. read more

Shopping in folsom has been slowly giving consumers better options. verdict of store: 8/10 - I love the fact that everything is super clean (new store with not too many customers what do you expect) -all the fixtures look fresh and mannequins looks professional and well dressed. -customer service is weak. I assume that they are still trying out new people, but a couple of sales associates had staring problems, best employee was the asian girl working the fitting room, very helpful, but again will be weeded out usually with a couple of weeks of opening and weeding out of bad employees. - selection at this store is nice. better then roseville store, lots of sizes to choose from. (weird note: some of the clothing folded in one area is hung up 4 racks away so keep your eye out for more sizes elsewhere or ask an sales associate. overall: come check it out not a bad store. tips: parking sucks so find a parking elsewhere and walk. read more

This store is huge and it can definitely be hard to find what you're looking for. It reminds me of a Forever 21 in that there are tons of racks of clothes and it's a little disorganized. But the prices are amazing! There were shorts for $5! and jeans for $20! Everything is decent quality too. They also have a huge clearance section. Their dressing rooms could use some cleaning. I got hooked on H&M when I first went to New York. They are literally like Starbucks (or ABC Stores in Hawaii)...on every street! Of course, Sacramento didn't have one until the Roseville Galleria location, but I mean, who shops there?!!! I shop in Folsom more often than Roseville, so I was definitely excited about this store at the beautiful Palladio. I walked in on a good day. They had racks and walls of clothes for $5,$7, and $10. I scored a beautiful summer dress for $10 (I don't care if I look like a highliter!) and 2 swimsuit cover-ups for $5 each (and that was the regular price!). I thought their selection of jewelry was small and disappointing. I'd rather find some cheap costume pieces at Forever 21. This is a relatively small store (unlike those in SF or NYC), but I somehow managed to be in there for almost 2 hours. Yes, that's how I shop. read more

I love H&M and always have but had the worst experience at the Palladio location in Folsom, CA. I went in a few days ago and bought $160 worth of clothes and was told to go try things on in a bathroom outside of the shop bc of Covid. I was totally down and that was fine. I realized while looking through the clothes they had very little sizing available for some reason. Majority of the items were either in very small sizes or very large.. no in between. Then when I was ready to check out, I had to wait a minute while this young guy (Anthony) was bantering/flirting to another coworker and didn't notice me.. and continued to while ringing up the clothes. They acted like they didn't give a fuck and were super unprofessional. He asked if I was an H&M member, I didn't know so I just skipped it. He didn't want to help me get points or tell me "how simple it was" so I left to try things on and returned to return the items I didn't want.. When I got back probably 15 min later, a different young guy helped me out and was a bit more professional (not by much). He asked for my member # and helped me figure out if I had an account or not. When we realized I did, he returned everything and gave me the points for the whole transaction and for the new items I was purchasing. I thought that was nice. He told me that my receipt would be online and so would my points but it may take a day or so. SO, I come back 2 days later and try to return one shirt and to have a security tag taken off of the other that he forgot to take off (that never went off when leaving). When I walked in, the security alarm went off and the same guy that helped me return things comes hauling ass to see if someone was stealing and when I tried to explain even 2 seconds of what happened, he kept insisting on saying "well do you have a receipt?" "You need your receipt" "go online and pull up your receipt" and said to go up to the front to have them help me. Totally different attitude than the day before but everyone has off days so I wasn't upset about it. I go up to the check out, I explain some of the situation to the girl at the counter and she tries to find my receipt on the H&M app (my account) and it's not there. So she calls the guy up that helped me return things (and also came to greet me when I walked in) and he kept saying that it was a weird loophole in the system and that I need my paper receipt.. even though he literally had just said it was going to be on my account 2 days earlier. He ended up leaving and not helping the situation at all. The gal in front of me kept trying to argue with me about what happened and when she finally understood what I was trying to fucking say, another (better with customer service) gal chimed in to try to help.. after them both realizing it wasn't me fucking up they became a bit nicer. OVERALL, not a good look. They had multiple people walking out with security tags still on the clothes on accident and having to take it off for them after checking out.. The only nice and professional guy was the tall black dude (forgot his name rn) that apologized for sending me to the bathrooms that weren't open and that also tried to help the situation at the end. 3/5 stars because I love h&m but damn what a shit show. Didn't even get to return my shirt that I drove 30 min to do and was almost late to work because of. Y'all need to work on some customer service skills and maybe have a bit of training. Thanks. Edit** I went in to finally return the shirt and the girl helping me was very friendly. She said she knew about what had happened and asked if she could call her manager up so I could talk to her. I did & it was fine.. the manager was typical customer service friendly with just a hint of still trying to come up with excuses as to why it happened or her comment about Nicholas berating me by the door was "well sometimes they get excited and run to the door to greet people" and I was like what.. the alarm went off and he continued to interview me about my receipt or lack there of for 2-3 minutes and then left the minute that he realized that he messed up? I was excited to find this location at first since normally the gidgets order their stuff online from H&M. Needless to say the shine wore off pretty quickly. Not only were things kind of in disarray when trying to find specific sizes, but the quality of customer service was non existent. It was almost like they asked these ladies at their interviews....."Do you feel you are better than pretty much everyone around you?" "Do you think texting and gossiping about customers openly while on the retail floor is appropriate?" "Are popping gum and being surly your favorite pass times?" "Is ignorance bliss and are you blissfully happy?" Mind you this did not even begin to cover Nurse Ratchett's retail twin sister who was roaming around. The icing on the proverbial cake was being told when I asked for a student discount while paying for the gidgets' items, "Aren't you too old to be a student?" No, honey. But then I would not expect someone who thinks customer service means the customer serves you to understand that some people do choose later than their 20's to go back to school to better their professional lives. Sorry if that confused you! Needless to say we will NEVER be back. Sorry kiddos, we will stick with online ordering...unless of course if mommy feels like a mind numbing afternoon dealing with people who are better suited to being mannequins than sales clerks. read more

Well first thing's first, this is an H&M, so my expectations weren't exactly high. However, the customer service managed to be bad enough to warrant a review. I came in early on a Saturday morning for an emergency outfit while visiting my parents, so there were plenty of people working but of course no one to help when I had a question about something - pretty typical for an H&M, I suppose. After finally finding something that would work I went up to the register to pay. I asked for the student discount since there were signs advertising 15% off for students literally all over the store - like on almost every display. The girl at the register proceeded to tell me that there wasn't a student discount. Uhhh okay? I turned around and pointed out 5 signs within her line of sight that all said the exact same thing - 15% off student discount, but she still refused to believe it and made me wait so she could call a manager over to verify. Whatever. The manager comes over and says there is a discount (obviously) and instead of apologizing for the mixup or something she starts defending the girl at the register because "she just didn't know". Um I'm sorry, but isn't that your job? And isn't the customer always right, especially when they really are correct? Smh. Anyway, I get the discount and get rung up and since I live in the Bay Area where many counties (including mine) charge for shopping bags, I'm sort of on autopilot to ask about bags while shopping. So I ask, "Do you charge for bags?", to which the girl at the register responds, and I quote: "I don't even know what that means." Are you kidding me?! I honestly didn't even know how to respond to that - it means exactly what it sounds like? Did you seriously just say that? I tried to explain that many places charge for bags now in the Bay Area, so I just always ask and she responds with "Well I don't live there so I don't know anything about that." Yikes. I was borderline embarrassed for her but her poor attitude quickly helped dissipate any feelings of sympathy I may have had. Oh also, there are a couple terrible steps going into the fitting rooms which are long and shallow and seem pretty dangerous if you're carrying clothes to try on and can't see the ground well.They apparently know about it because it has yellow hazard tape, but wasn't this store just built? I came here recently to look for "interview" attire. This place is where to come! I was able to buy black pressed slacks (with an elastic waist band) and a nice pair of suede black loafers. I literally would buy five pairs of those loafers! They are comfortable and stylish! I wore them to dinner and an event that required more walking and the loafers did not hurt my back heels, the bottoms had nice grip (no tripping), and when scuffed- an easy damp cloth takes care of it. Only $14.99! Great buy! I love the pants too! Great fit- sizes seem to run a little small. At least those slacks do in my opinion- again an affordable price of $14.99 as well! Besides the business attire, there is more causal, floral prints, dresses, skirts, seasonal swim wear- summer stuff, they also have a section for intimate clothing, accessories, and kids clothes. Baby to boy/girl. Even the youth options are super trendy and cute! There's a convenient changing room to make sure the sizes are right and the customer service is great! I've been to this H&M several times but tonight I had an interesting experience and felt like I needed to write a review. First things first, H&M does have cheapo clothing but it's a lot better quality than the Charlotte Russe next door. However, there was a lot of merchandise that had lipstick stains on it. GROSS. That is unsellable and unsanitary so they should throw that stuff out. Me and my friend found some stuff to try on however and headed for the dressing rooms. The dressing room attendant (a middle aged woman with short brown hair) immediately snapped at us and told we had 3 minutes to try everything on because they were closing. Ummmm... RUDE. I've worked in customer service before and I know what it's like wanting to just go home but I would have never rushed a customer like that... I heard her being very short and rude to other customers in the store as well. The saving grace was when I went to go pay for my sweater and scarf. The girl at the cash register was so sweet. They were having a 15% discount for students and she asked if I was a college student. I said yes but that I didn't have an ID and she gave me the discount anyway! Even the lady behind me in line commented on how nice that was of her. The customer service in the dressing room and the service at the register was NIGHT AND DAY. That sweet employee really saved my shopping experience here. read more

While granted I like that there is a good selection of sizes to choose from, I truly dislike the fact that A. Sizes are ridiculously mixed up and instead of having the size tag on the hanger you practically have to dismantle the entire clothing stacks to pull the tags out from items. B. They don't have an washrooms, while yes it is not a restaurant we shouldn't expect grade "A" service, but if I have to walk hella far across the street and down the way in the pouring rain with a toddler that has to pee I'm likely to want to just let him pull a "Big Daddy" and piss on the front door. C. If I leave to go to said bathroom and I let a sales associate know I'll be right back I would hope that the items I had put on a wrack would still be there not completely missing because said sales associate has put all my items of choice back. D. If I'm having trouble finding a size why would you as a sales associate not try to help me? I assume the wage you are paid makes you miserable so I'll leave it at that. read more

I'm told by an employee at first that it "can't be removed without the merchandisers approval" and by a manager that it can't be removed until after they take in inventory that day because it's already counted for... Really?! You'd rather not make a note it was purchased and then make a customer happy AND make the sale? BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Second time I've experienced bad CS at this store. BEST H&M in the area. Also best customer service in any H&M. I took off one star because I've had so many issues with the clothing here - I wouldn't say their clothes last a "short" time but I'd say they're somewhere in-between F21 and Zara. I guess you really do get what you pay for though, don't expect a $10 pant to last forever. But I've had issues where a sweater doesn't make it out of the store let alone to the first wear and it's already unraveling at the seams and I've got to turn around and return it. I've never had any issues with exchanging or returns though. The lines can get a little crazy, especially when there's only one person manning the front, but they're always really understanding and patient! On the whole, this H&M probably has the widest stock available in the area. It's very organized and always clean! There's a lot of space to walk around between the clothes, too. During the holiday season you can definitely stock up on a lot of deals and fast fashion trends here and the customer service is always top notch! read more

They've really got it organized in this store and it's very clean compared to other H/M stores that I have visited in other cities. Of course womens are in your face once you walk in the store, as usual, guys are on the other side. Sorry ladies, but I'm only commenting on guys clothing as that is what I fit in and prefer....it's winter time, so they've got an array of button up, flannels, jackets and jackets galore. They even have some low crew and v neck tees for $5, dang what a deal!! Prices are def. affordable and the style is so relevant/trendy. It absolutely Ticks me off when stores don't have a men's dept. register open. If I am buying Men's clothes I better be able to checkout in the Men's dept. Wow! I was helped by a douche! Was assisted very poorly by a short, homely white guy wearing glasses and a cap. I came in to return my online order of ill fitting pants (that I was super excited about) that I bought in December and the holiday policy stated that I had until the 31st of January to return for a full refund. This asshole cashier said he didn't know anything about a holiday policy and gave me some bullshit about how the company is so widespread that he doesn't know what the policy says. I looked on my phone couldn't find the email with the holiday policy on it. And then told me I would just get credit on my account. Didn't say how many business days it would take or if I would get an email saying I'm getting said credit. I had to fucking ask him all of this to get answers. Then after he was done scanning everything and printed my return receipt, just handed it to me and ignored me. He just looked at me and said ok that's it, you're done. Not even a "anything else I can help you with? Or have a good day." Nothing! Fucking rude! I should've asked for the manager. Didn't offer to get a manager or customer service number, nothing! Fucking useless kid! I'm wondering wtf he even did! Oh and btw, called customer and was helped by a really nice woman, who said I was correct about the holiday policy (anything purchased from November would receive an in store refund until January 31st) and that I should see a refund to my bank account within 2-5 business days. I only go here to get my children school clothes. They have the pants and shirt deal for ten bucks. It's a steal. The clothes aren't top notch, but for kids who are more than likely going to destroy them, they'll do. It's not the most organized place. It was actually giving me anxiety!!!
