I feel like as a company they are trying harder to give us fashionable peices but they aren't cutting edge, its like a season or two behind. All right, I gained a few pounds and haven't refreshed my clothes in a couple years. So off to Old Navy. Keep in mind, for the past year I've been laying low and mostly online shopping. But it's time to venture out safely. This Old Navy location is in a shopping center with a huge parking with tons of spaces. Right when I stepped in, there was a standing automatic hand sanitizer dispenser.There are signs asking customers to wear masks; all the staff were and most all the customers. Prominent 6 feet floor markers line the cashier queue. There is plexiglass between you and the cashier. There is a bottle of hand sanitizer next to each card machine at checkout. The floor inventory and displays were tidy. They had several staff on the floor arranging clothes, staff in the fitting rooms putting away clothes, and enough cashiers to move the queue quickly. The staff that I spoke with were gems; helpful, friendly, and efficient. Anyway, the day I dropped in women's shorts were $15 a pair, Tshirts and tops were $10-12. Great! I patiently looked through the piles of shorts to find the right inseam lengths and size. I had to try on 2 different sizes to figure out my best current fit. The fitting room staff was super helpful. I even bought a belt with the vow that I'm gonna lose the extra gained pounds and therefore a belt is needed because my shorts will become loose. (Haha. Wishful thinking) Tips: (1) You can find items online to have a better sales pricing and have them shipped free to the store for pickup; you can even return the mailed items in store or ship them back. (2) You can sign up for rewards program.

Crazy but true. And it might be basic, but I love The Gap. Solid construction, soft fabrics, lots of cotton. If you're having "power surges" aka hot flashes it is so important to have breathable fabric, am I right? Today I stopped at the outlet to see what was on the racks. You have to walk a ways so be prepared. Those who use mobility aids need to be aware of the cobblestone like streets that abut the sidewalks leading to your destination. The accessibility of the mall could use some improvement. There are no restrooms in stores in the outlet, but I've had the unfortunate experience of using the public facilities here and 109% do not recommend. Isolated, remote, creepy. However, on to the Gap here. They have had a nice refresh/remodel since I was here a couple years ago, but I was a bit lost at first. The new light and bright dressing rooms are an asset. Staff circulating on the sales floor were helpful and asked if I needed help or a tote to carry my try-ons several times. I tried on about 12 items and hit success with 4 so, a nice 33.3% success rate. I hit the jackpot in their clearance racks- snagged a beautiful gauze summer dress, a sky blue blue button down, a western- type denim shirt with snaps, and a super soft ringer T for a mere $4. The total with tax came to $80. They have ample seasonal selections for women, kids, and men. They also have deep discounts on non seasonal items- I saw some adorable trench and puffer coats so keep your eyes out. They offer a good selection in extended sizes- I wear an XL or XXL and they always gave ample offerings, not an afterthought. Check-out was smooth. Overall a fun little trip to get some new favorites. I don't know if they'll last as long as the raincoat from the 80's, but here's hoping!

I had a very disappointing experience at this store due to being misinformed by the cashier…read more While checking out, the cashier appeared new and unfamiliar with the process. She told me I could receive a discount if I simply answered "3 questions." Before agreeing, I specifically asked multiple times if this would affect my credit or involve a hard inquiry, especially when I noticed it was asking for my Social Security number. Each time, she clearly told me no, and said it was "only for rewards/Discount." Shortly after completing the questions, she said, "Congratulations, you've been approved for a $500 credit line," which was completely unexpected and not what I agreed to. I never intended to apply for a credit card. Because of this, a hard inquiry was placed on my credit report, and I had to immediately call and close the account. This experience felt misleading and dishonest. Regardless of experience level, customers should be clearly informed when they are applying for a credit card, especially when it impacts their credit. Transparency is extremely important, and this was not handled properly. I hope management takes this seriously and ensures employees are properly trained so this does not happen to others.
