Overall this place depends on the day and time you come. Some may say "that is every MARSHALL's" ......... NOT! I think it is this one though. Some days I go and want to buy everything. It was my first time visiting Charlotte, so I decided to go to Marshalls near my daughters house. I was calming shopping in Marshalls when I was looking for a picture frame that fit a picture I had brought into the store. I made my way to the isle, and saw a frame I wanted but it was too high. I'm 4'5 I can't reach about anything so I asked the closest employee to me which was this boy named "Noah" he was a tall, and seemed kind since he first greeted me with a smile. I asked him to get the frame I saw, and I ended up not liking it but there was a better one behind the frame he had picked. I apologized then asked him to pick up the frame he started looking annoyed and mumbled things under his breath. The when I got the frame I asked him to help me put it in the cart. Then he called me out of my name, when he walked away and said I was annoying him. I ended up getting the picture frame, but left disrespected because a 16-year old just disrespected me. There's nothing wrong with this Marshall's. Everything was pretty well laid out with sections for shoes, men's, women's, kid's and housewares. Why anyone would buy a toaster from Marshall's, I do not know. But the clothing seemed to be well organized and everything that I pulled off the rack to try on (I need a new pair of Dockers for work) was tagged properly with size tags that matched. Even better, I managed to spot a nice bargain that was only $12. Well done! The dressing rooms are clearly slanted towards women shoppers with only one stall for men. Most dudes don't try on stuff, I suppose. Paying for the merchandise was a pleasant experience but only because I caught the line when there was no one else there. I've shopped other Marshall's before when I had to wait more than fifteen minutes to pay. Not so today. Good work and for that, a fourth star! read more

Well after visiting 3 Marshalls and a TJ Maxx within two days this one wins for friendliness and customer service. We visited an hour before they closed last night and as soon as we walked in the door they had a greeter standing there to welcome us. And it was a genuine greeting, not like the sad WalMart one. As I walked through even the manager smiled and asked how I was doing tonight! That has never happened in my years of visiting Marshalls! Even during the checkout just before they closed the cashier was laughing with us and joking around. Seriously the happiest Marshalls in town! Oh and yeah the selection there rocked as usual. read more

I am typically not a fan of Marshalls (Love TJ Maxx) but I wanted to give them a try. Unfortunately, my mind was not changed. There are empty shelves and the general look of the store seemed to be a messy. The store itself was clean (floors, counter, and tables). I walked in to checkout some items in housewares and pet. The place is okay but nothing special. I probably won't frequent this establishment or any Marshalls any time soon. read more

I love Marshall's! They always have the cutest things and although you think you'll go in to purchase one or two things, you'll walk out with a FULL CART! I know I do every time, and no exception today. Plus this location was featuring the spring yoga collection. I was very pleased with the size of their selection and the variety that they offered. I'm sure everyone's in full force getting their body in shape for the spring/summer vacations and this Marshall's has great workout gear. From yoga pants being as low as $9.99 and as seen on TV workout gadgets as little as $16.99. I found the twister abs board and what a find it was. Because online the price is $40.00 so this is a steal. The reason they received four stars for this location is the cleanliness of the store. The front of the store looked great but it wasn't consistent throughout the store. Usually Marshall's keep their store looking nice but this wasn't the case for this location. read more

This Marshall's is very clean and orderly. The clothes were very easy to find and everything was in its place. This is generally the case in nicer neighborhoods. A big plus is that this location sells men's shoes. It seems to be hit or miss when I visit a Marshals but I'm glad that they do. They also have a lot of nice pieces for home decor. My wife and I were able find some nice options for our future home. Great prices, clean, and a nice selection. What else can you ask for. read more

So, if you haven't read any of my reviews before, I'm going to go ahead and let you know that I am possibly one of the biggest fans of shopping in the Eastern time zone... I am really about to geek out on this, so I just thought it would be fair to give a warning... OMIGOSH! How many ways can I say that I love this particular Marshall's? Let's just get to it here... First of all, I love the organization of the store... I also ran across associates who were literally going through the rack and making sure the items were hung appropriately... Do you know how annoying it is to try picking up a shirt only to find other hangers somehow attached together in some irritating jumble of hard plastic? Drives me nuts... I found some absolutely enchanting dresses and tops for a few weddings coming up this summer and headed to the fitting rooms... I am about to lose it again just thinking about the dressing rooms... First of all, they give you actual true lighting INSIDE the dressing room... You're not sure if you like that dress on? Now you don't have to walk out into the main area to check in the big mirrors down the hall... It was the best addition to a fitting room ever... They have a rack that looks like a sideways ivy trellis to hold all of your choices before you try them AND three separate hooks to distinguish your choices after you've tried them... Hilariously enough, they are definitely, possibly and tomorrow... I love that nope isn't even an option... lol The clearance was marked correctly and found in the accompanying sections of the store... I straight racked up on all sorts of gorgeous skivvies and apparel... I was very happy with all my deals... Love it! read more

I am the occasional Marshall's shopper and it is always exciting to find some stuff in the store (depending on the day you go). The prices are just right, but sometimes the stores seem like they were hit by a hurricane. Must have something to do with people rifling through all their stuff looking for the best bargains. This Marshall's at Rivergate is a standard Marshall's. Relatively clean, I was able to find what I was looking for in the Men's department without any issues. I do like their register: "[robotic voice] Register 3 is now open" system... makes for a clean and easy check out experience with the exception of them funneling you through a row of shelves with a bunch of impulse buys on them. Not a big fan of the parking lot, but the prime spaces are the handicap spaces and then everyone else jockying for position to do the least amount of walking to the building. read more

Love this spot (and home goods, as well). Sometimes it is hit of miss, if I find what I'm looking for, but that is how places like this work. They have a surprisingly good selection of home items, considering that home goods is in just the other parking lot! The purses also usually have a great selection! read more

As someone who loves sifting through racks and counters for a good deal, Marshall's is one of my retail happy places. From the shoe section to the home goods section, I love it all! This particular location is fantastic: - The managers and associates are all extremely friendly and courteous. I could find some things I wanted. Maybe it was the busy Saturday that I was there but I when I would find something I liked it was always in the wrong size. I came out with a bottle of shampoo and that was it. I may try it again at a later time if I'm in the area. read more

prices are pretty decent. i love the selection and the store is extremely clean. i love browsing through the kitchen aisles too!!! the clearance items are good also. the only thing i wish they would improve on is the speed of the cashiers. they are a bit too laid back on a busy day. also, the dude with the black nail polish has GOT TO GO!!!!!!! it's unprofessional and not fashionable. read more
