On January 12th, I placed an order for a bracelet. However, I did not receive any confirmation email indicating that the item was not available at the store. I contacted Anitra, who informed me that the item would be shipped to the store and that I should call back on Friday, January 17th, 2025, to confirm its arrival. I called her on Friday, but she stated that the item was still delivered and that I should call back again at 1:00 PM if I did not receive any confirmation email. Unfortunately, I did not receive any email indicating that my pickup order was available. I contacted the curbside number, and a different lady looked at the system but was unable to locate the item. I have been refreshing the website continuously, but there is no sign that the order is ready for pickup. As the day progressed, I called the curbside number again, which resulted in a 20-minute hold. This level of inconvenience is unacceptable. If I had been aware of this potential issue, I would have opted for in-store pickup instead. I am unable to wait this extended period for a pickup order, as this is a gift for my friend who resides in California and whose birthday is on January 24th. read more

I placed two online orders and selected curbside pick up. I waited for 45 minutes, called the helpline that went straight to voicemail, did not get a call back, was on hold with management for 15 minutes before giving up and going home. I called back to reschedule a pick up and was told the wait lines were to be expected with the holiday business. Waiting in a car for almost an hour for curbside suggests they cannot actually service this leg of their offering. Please consider removing this benefit if you cannot offer the same level of service you strive to provide in all areas of the company. read more

Awful Experience- I've always associated Nordstrom with excellent customer service, which makes today's experience at the SouthPark Mall location extremely disappointing. I was shopping in the BP department between approximately 11am and 12:30pm and the level of customer service fell far below the standard Nordstrom is known for. Another shopper and I were waiting for assistance to access the fitting room. After standing around for some time with no help, I walked over to the cashier station where I saw multiple employees casually chatting. I had to interrupt them to ask for help, which felt uncomfortable enough. But even after someone came over to unlock the fitting room, they simply opened the door and walked away. The door closed and locked again before I could enter, forcing me to go back and request help a second time. Later, while attempting to check out, I stood at the register with another woman--both of us women of color--waiting for someone to assist us. A blonde employee made direct eye contact with me and then proceeded to ignore us entirely, focusing instead on restocking clothes. Another employee came over to grab a shopping bag but didn't acknowledge either of us or offer any assurance that someone would help us shortly. We stood there unacknowledged and overlooked. Eventually, a male employee of color approached and rang us up--he was the only one who showed any professionalism or initiative. The entire experience left a sour taste. It felt like the team working in the BP department during that time prioritized socializing over serving customers. Nordstrom built its reputation on quality and service, and today's visit was a clear failure of both. I truly hope this is addressed, because loyal customers deserve better. read more

This is not my usual rating for Nordstrom South Park, as I have been a customer for over 8 years. Yesterday, I had a doctor appointment and wore a sweat suit for comfort. I decided to do some shopping afterward. I noticed a new Salesperson in the shoe department. She greeted every person who came in, but me. I walked passed her 3 times while viewing shoes, she did look directly at me, but said nothing. Normally, when shopping for shoes, I buy 3 - 4 pairs at a time. Yesterday I bought none. No, I was not dressed up in my usual "I belong here" wear, but to assume I was not shopping put a dent in her commission. Nordstrom should teach all employees to treat all customers the same. Went to Nordstrom in Charlotte Southpark Mall today. Found a shirt and I went to counter to purchase. The sales person asked me if I had a Nordstrom credit card and I do not. She then told me she was unable to sell me that item because it was a special sale going on for only card holders. Told me I could come back in 4 days and purchase it. I replied I lived out of state and asked what kind of business model they operate on that refuses to sell its inventory to a paying customer. She just replied that she could give me the information on item and I could buy it online. I declined and walked away. No more Nordstrom for me. read more

I've been a regular shopper of Nordstrom (and Nordstrom Rack) for many years. They have the brands I love (Liverpool, Wit & Wisdom, Jag Jeans, NYDJ, 7 For All Mankind, CeCe, etc.), and I can often get items on sale by adding them to my wish list and getting notified when the prices have dropped. It's convenient to order something online for pickup at the store, but not many items I want are available locally. Recently, I purchased a bra on sale for pickup at the store. My usual size felt too big, so I grabbed a smaller size in the lingerie department to try on. The associate, Mary, offered to have me fitted so I'd know what size was right for me. We found the same bra I had purchase online for an exchange plus another bra, and both were on sale. What a difference it made having a fitting! I ended up getting different band AND cup sizes than I've always gotten before, and the bras I purchased are so much more comfortable! If you've never been fitted for a bra, I highly recommend visiting Mary in the lingerie department at Nordstrom. She was so friendly and helpful! read more

I truly used to love Nordstrom but my experience tonight (and a few recent other experiences) have been pretty bad. My mom & I decided to have a girls weekend in Charlotte and go shopping. In total, we spent about 6 hours in Nordstrom and we barely got any assistance at all. While trying on clothes, multiple employees were in the dressing room talking (which is totally fine) but when I asked for help, they seemed annoyed that I interrupted. They didn't have a rack to hang clothes you don't want on & when I came out with my hands full of clothes, they still offered no assistance even when I asked. Because we were in the store for so long, we interacted with many employees & only 1 was remotely friendly. This might not seem like a big deal but Nordstrom used to have the best customer service & when you're in a store that's supposedly high end, it's nice to at least have some assistance. By far the worst part of tonight though was when we were leaving for the night. We purposely parked right by the entrance so that we wouldn't have to walk around a parking garage at night. At 8:56, we noticed the door we parked near was locked. When we asked an employee if they could unlock it, they said the alarm was already set. The only door unlocked was on the opposite side of the store. When we voiced our concern about walking all the way to our car, they told us we'd just have to walk around. I understand that they close at 9 but walking around an unfamiliar area at night (especially as a woman) isn't ideal at all, and is actually pretty unsafe. I find it frustrating that there wasn't even a sign on the entrance stating that it locks before closing so we could plan accordingly. After 6+ hours of shopping & a ton of money spent, it felt like a slap in the face that our safety wasn't taken into consideration at all, even when we voiced our concern. I know employees want to go home but locking almost all exits before 9 & refusing to open them is a little ridiculous. A lot of department stores carry the same items so there's really no reason to shop here anymore. read more

Recently ordered something online for a friend and picked it up at this location. It was super easy and better to get it in person since it was an expensive accessory that would cause me to freak out if it were delivered in my building's package room. Easy parking in the parking deck. I went to the Customer Service design near the escalators, and the online order pickup was upstairs next to the cafe. I was really surprised they had a designated area and a whole shelf full of merchandise waiting to be picked up. Easy Peasy. Not going to lie, I usually just breeze past all the sections here at the location to reach the mall if I park on this end, but you could probably spend hours here depending on what you are shopping for. Lots of designer/high end stuff here with plenty of folks to assist with looking for stuff. I always worry that I'm tracking mud into the end-cap of a mall, especially a Nordstrom, but I just have my own issues to work out. The staff were super nice and I had a good experience. read more

SouthPark is already a fancy mall and Nordstrom here just takes it up to the top notch. It is a high-end department store and is heavily loaded with higher quality and more expensive fashion. I managed to avoid spending a kilobuck here only because I know my wife would kill me. But I did look at the suits, the dress shirts and the slacks, finding some nice stuff but nothing within my price range. It was clear that I was putting out a "I don't need assistance, thank you" vibe as I was not contacted by sales folks while I walked through menswear on the way to my errand elsewhere in the store. Terrible experience today at the Nordstrom in South Park. Tried to spend money but salespeople were all rude and not helpful. Left and spent my money at other stores at the mall instead. The commission structure they have is an issue. We tried to buy things from different departments and 1 shoe department lady told my wife she has to buy everything from her because of commissions this made us feel uncomfortable. If that wasn't bad enough, we asked a salesperson to try on a north face. She said we couldn't because of the security lock. I asked to unlock and she said come back later. Came back later and she was no where. Tried to ask other salespeople and was completely ignored. We ended up leaving and will not come back to this Nordstrom. You guys really need to train your employees on customer service. Commission is not everything. Spent our hard earned money at other stores at the mall that did have amazing customer service. read more

BEWARE! Nordstrom Charlotte - South Park sells counterfeit clothing! Last night I purchased a $350 Alice + Olivia dress. The e-receipt picture of the dress looked nothing like what I bought. It ended up being a $64 dress sold at many retailers. When I brought the dress back to the store, the Sales Associate, Skardy, & Manager couldn't have cared less. They didn't say "I'm sorry this happened" or "I'm sorry for your trouble" nor did they indicate this would be escalated appropriately. Complacency at its finest. They Associate and Manager also showed a complete lack of concern for the integrity of the store. When I asked the Sales Associate if this happens a lot, he said "Well, it's America." I'd expect better from Nordstrom. I will never again purchase any type of higher-end item from this store. read more

I am just relocating here to Charlotte. Stop by Nordstroms to grab some dress shoes for a work event next week at the Fillmore. All of the sales associates in the men's shoe department looked at me several times but did not speak nor offer any assistance. So, I found some shoes I wanted on my own and went to the counter. The Italian/spanish guy finally helped me but then. asked me to wait so he could assist a caucasian guy. I was appalled, so I told him no worries I no longer want the shoes. I spoke with the assistant manager who was extremely kind and professional in trying to resolve the issue. She stated would address the issue. Sub par service at this location. And it's not department specific, it's basically throughout the store, so that screams that there is a management issue. You are rarely greeted, the employees are usually talking amongst themselves and if you ask something they aren't real eager to assist! Soooo different then the one in OC and even NJ. I mean this has happened like the last 6 times I've been in the store, so I'm kind of over our nordstroms. It's nothing to write home about anyway! my friend is having twins and I went with her to get car seats one Sunday (it was dead in there) and she had a few questions while she decided between 2, the kid literally knew nothing and said no one in the department did. I needed a chocolate brown and green sweater for my dad with button ups to wear under them, I was walking around for like 30 minutes with different sizes and print options and no one said a word! Have been a customer for more than 30 years, so am certainly a fan. During my business career at one point I had 62 Nordstrom Classic shirts in my closet. In South Park their Men's Department has some outstanding employees. Laurenzo S. is a good example of someone who wants you to get what you need and be happy for his assistance. Unfortunately, he told us that he was leaving to join Delta Airlines. A loss, but surely he will be replaced by someone of equal or better quality. Though not large, the men's department is complete. Dress shirt selections include the many different cuts, from classic and traditional to slim, along with nice ties, cuff links and other accessories. I buy my underwear and socks there, along with Nordstrom casual and dress slacks. Quality is great and if you don't like anything you purchase, returns are accepted and replaced or refunded without problem. read more

For all things luxury, Nordstrom's is the place to shop! I was looking for a kate spade iPhone case & saw online that Nordstrom's was having a huge "fashion brands anniversary sale." And thankfully everything was marked off to like 50% off. Nordstrom's is gorgeous inside, neatly organized & clean. Salespeople are extremely friendly & not pushy. I really like that! Naturally, regular prices here are expensive, but if you have "that kind of money", then by all means, spend away! Like every other major retailer, they have sales quite frequently, so maybe that item you're spying will go on sale soon enough. read more

This store is much like others beautiful, clean, and a simple floor plan with directives at the base of each escalator. Anytime I have needed help at this location it's been a good experience. Namely, I was searching for some jewelry for my wedding rehearsal dinner and day-of. The woman behind the counter was so extremely patient and kind as I tried on earring after earring. She also gave me great advice. I love each piece I bought. Most recently, I went in looking for kids Ray Bans - unfortunately they don't carry them. But the women who helped me ran a search on the computer first and tried to help me find something that would have fit better, if not the same. I will always be a Nordstrom shopper! read more

I love Nordstrom, but Nordstrom Southpark is a bit of a "swing and a miss". Four stars feels generous, but three stars seems too harsh; too bad you can't give halves. Their shoe selection is out of this world fabulous, but the clothing selection leaves a lot to be desired - it is minimal. I also felt as though the customer service was a bit lacking from the typical Nordstrom experience. The store is on the smaller side with the majority of the ground floor being taken up by cosmetics. All of the women's clothing is upstairs. They have all of your Nordstrom "departments" (point of view, encore, bp., dresses, active wear, collectors, etc.); however, each one has only a very small selection... the largest selection of styles was probably in dresses. I would like to give a special nod to the ebar. The baristas were friendly and quick, the area was clean, and my latte tasted great. read more

Some of them act as if they're working at Neiman Marcus and therefore should be praised and worshipped so customers should be privileged to have the opportunity to grace their presence. The ones in the junior department are the worst! Seriously? Your title is "sales associate, cashier, customer service rep, not OWNER, CEO, or OFFSPRING of Nordstrom owner. That's not to say that the last three should be rude to customers either, but at least their arrogance and higher than thee attitude comes from not having to work on the sales floor of a department store but actually owning it. read more

Went to get a new pair of running shoes (Hoka - which Nordstrom carries) tonight and was told that "this is not a finish line" by the sales woman. Obviously this is not a finish line.... She then proceeded to bring me the wrong color in one shoe and didn't even ask about color in the other model. She then disappeared from the area when I actually went to the register to purchase them.... Then upstairs in the women's clothing, Q proceeded to rudely "help me" checkout and was obviously annoyed when I used a Nordstrom gift card. I'm not sure if they have their B team working on weekdays but the entire experience was extremely negative. There was one man working who was helpful and got me a fitting room. He then also disappeared and no one was at the register when it was time to actually purchase the clothing. Can I get Trina Turk online for cheaper? Can I get Bobbi Brown online, tax free? Can I scour eBay and buy 2 pairs of slightly used Jimmy Choos for the price of one at Nordie's? ABSOLUTELY. But when I do shop retail, this is my poison of choice. Nordstrom's philosophy is to provide great customer service. I should say it's OUSTANDING, either at the retail store, or RACK location. TIP: Make friends with your sales associate if you click with him/her. It's INVALUABLE. When you get a good one, he or she will cater to your every need and give you the heads up on upcoming sales. For example, at the Nordstrom in Kansas, my SA not only called me when a jacket or pair of jeans I had been eying was about to go on sale-- she would private shop with me, and pull items in my size she thought I'd like so the shopping experience would take less time, and be more efficient. Here at Southpark, one of the SA's, Kesh even TEXT MESSAGES me handbags she thinks I'd like, and gave me the heads up weeks in advance of what would be on sale. If you're trying on anything, the SA's are great about attending to you, calling in a tailor if alterations are necessary...you feel like a million bucks, even if you're buying a $25 t-shirt. I never feel pressured to buy anything (although there is a woman in lingerie who needs to work on the finesse...and a young man in the BP shoes department who blatantly targeted me in the designer handbags section where he knew nothing about the designer, to try and sell me a $1k bag. Not classy, but I'll chalk it up to inexperience and arrogance.) so there's rarely any buyer's remorse. The return policy is also beyond anything I've ever experienced. I once bought a white belt I thought would go with a blue dress, and when I got home, it didn't go well at all. One YEAR later, I felt guilty, and didn't want to seem like I was abusing the policy, but I was able to return the belt, no questions asked. There is a book called Retail Hell, a first-hand account of being a SA at Nordstrom, where people would try and return handbags that were clearly scuffed and used... and one woman had an open tampon inside the bag...and still was able to return it! This I do NOT approve of, and wish the return policy wouldn't be abused like this. Oh, and charge sends. If you don't see something in store you've seen online, the SA's will search the entire Nordie's national network and locate the item for you and have it shipped right to your door. This is beyond helpful and has saved me multiple times. TIP: When you shop the annual Anniversary sale, where fall styles go on sale before they're in season, either go EARLY on a weekday, or shop late in the day. Ladies are like predators during this time, and will shop frantically for these deals. Don't be alarmed. If the size you want isn't there, get it charge sent. TIP 2: If you shop here a lot...getting a Nordstrom debit is a great value. (I hate store credit cards, since it's another bill to worry about. With debit, it just comes out of your bank account like a regular debit card.) You'll get points for every purchase, and Nordstrom Note GC's every so often...plus if you reach a certain level, free alterations (whoo hoo!) and beauty bonuses. (In the past 6 months I've gotten cards sent to me for free 3 piece mini mascaras, and 3 lipglosses from big beauty brands.) OK, I'm going to stop yammering now...but just in case my review didn't get my point across clearlyl...I love me some Nordstrom! read more

Ah, Nordstrom, both the light and the bane of my existence. You take all my money and leave me with fashionable clothes, shoes, accessories and cosmetics. This is my favorite department store in all of the land. Merchandise is quality and can be pricey, but the Nordstrom semi-annual and anniversary sales are paramount, people. With everything from designer jeans to athletic gear on deep discount, these are most definitely the times to go. Service is some of the best in the retail industry and their return policy is second to none. Me likey. This particular Nordstrom is well-placed in the high end wing of SouthPark mall. Parking is typically a snap - entering off of Fairview is my preferred parking deck and walk yourself right in to the second floor. One last little nugget of info for all you shoppers out there: if you see something online that you cannot purchase in store, order it FROM the store - shipping is free. Yes. Free. Walk yourself up to a retail counter and ask one of the nice ladies or gentlemen to place an online order for you. Done and done. I've even called this in before...save money on quality mech.
