I came into the store in Rivergate Shopping Center on South Tryon, Charlotte, NC. Its a new store and we live right next to it. I come here about 3 times a week and always love the employees. On 9/15/16 I approached the counter for a return of two Adidas backpacks that I got for my sons. They wanted bigger backpacks instead. So I returned them as soon as I got back from our trip to St. Louis. I approached the counter and a new employee didn't know how to do returns which is fine. She hollered for Gail another employee to help. Gail never acknowledged me but instead she started questioning why they didn't have a red TJ max bar code on them. I said I don't know how your store works but heres the receipt and the tags that goes with it. She still did not want to process the return, instead she kept assisting that these was not TJ Max and showed me items with red tags. I advised you have the receipt and the tags, you can look it up on my tj max rewards card or credit card. She said she cant do that and wasnt allowed to. Then she gripped some more before turning around and teling me again that I need the red tag. Then she started typing the numbers from the tags in on a scanner adn called for a manager who was a very nice male and advised her thats its right there on the scanner adn it matches the receipt. She then said how was I suppose to know that and told the girl she was training to never take it without a red tag on it. The manager walked away and Gail proceeded to ask for my card. Never apologized or anything for her poor training skills which in return she was training someone else wrong. Worse service at a TJ max store and especially at this one. Gail needs better training and people skills. Next time I want be as nice to her if I get the same attitude. Poor service from her and poor skills. read more
