Stopped in yesterday as I was taking a stroll around the block (it looked so cute from the street) Customer service - non existent. There were at least 4 shop girls present. None of them greeted me or the other guests in the store. It was so odd. I noticed the other patrons just browsed and left. The employees just stood there loudly talking each other and giggling. I was put off. Merchandise in the store - very cute and unique. I will visit again when I'm in the area to see if the customer service was a one off. But for now - 3 stars read more

Very slow shipping. Sweatshirt ran 1-2 sizes small. Incredibly overpriced for what it is. Also seems they have reviews disabled everywhere but Yelp so that should tell you something. read more

I placed an order with Girl Tribe Co. expecting standard fulfillment, but it took an unacceptable 90 days to finally receive my items. By the time the package arrived, the window of time I actually needed the items for had completely passed. When I reached out to request a full refund due to their massive delay, customer service refused. They claimed that because the item was a "pre-order," their standard 15-day shipping window did not apply, and they would only offer online store credit. To make matters worse, I am expected to pay to mail the package back just to receive credit for a store where I no longer want to shop. Forcing store credit on a customer after a three-month delivery delay is terrible business practice. Buyers beware of their hidden pre-order policies and lack of actual refund options. read more

Ordered a sweatshirt over a month ago, received one email confirmation stating to allow 7-10 days for shipping. At the three week mark, I emailed them since I had received no correspondence at all. I was told my sweatshirt is still in production and that they are a small company. It has now been another week. I still have received no correspondence. A coworker of mine who ordered a sweatshirt the same day as me got an email stating hers had shipped but she has not received it. So as of right now, they got $80 from each of us and we have nothing after about five weeks. That is either a scam or just a horrible business. I will never order from this place again and will not recommend to any of my friends/coworkers. read more

ordered online. its been over a month with no updates and no product. zero response to my emails about my order. payment has been made, in full but still no products read more

Unacceptable shipping times. They claimed international custom delays for in stock, non-pre order items, when I'm also in Charlotte. While it may feel as if you're supporting a small local business, that is not the case and I'd advise taking your money elsewhere. read more

I placed an order at the beginning of April. At no point during checkout was it clear that the item was a preorder. After waiting over a month with no updates, I had to reach out twice before I was finally told that the item was a preorder. Even then, customer service was unable to provide any estimated shipping date. Since I still had no timeline and did not receive a response within their stated response window, I emailed requesting that my order be canceled. When I received no reply, I disputed the charge with my credit card company. Now, more than three months after placing the order, I have been told the item is suddenly ready to ship. The company has re-billed my card but is also telling me that it is no longer possible to cancel the order or prevent it from shipping. My biggest concern is the lack of transparency and communication throughout the entire process. If an item is a preorder, that should be clearly disclosed before purchase, along with realistic expectations for fulfillment. Better communication and more responsive customer service would have prevented this situation entirely. Based on this experience, I have no confidence in ordering from this shop again and would not recommend it to others. read more

Horrible!!!! Do not buy from them. After waiting over a month (they say it will take no longer then 14 days) for my over priced items. They come crookedly printed and sizes all off. I'm not going to bother to return because that would be another headache. I'm so disappointed! I was trying to support a small business, but don't fall for the B.S. go on etsy and get actually quality for your hard earned money and from actual small businesses that care. read more

I placed an order in May it said 10 to 14 days. It is now July 25. I contacted them past that deadline and received no response. I went on my trip that I needed the waterproof mah-jongg card holders for and when I returned, I still had not received the package. I have sent four emails and received no response, no product, and no refund. There is no phone number and only email to contact them aside from the physical storefront which they claim does nothing regarding the online business. I will now have to dispute charges. read more

I ordered through AMAZON the SPLASH PROOF Mahjong card holder in MAY, YES MAY. I quickly decided to cancel it within a few day. Amazon is telling me they have not had communication with this company to approve my refund. Originally, I was told to expect delivery mid June, now they're saying mid AUGUST. I know people who have ordered their floating Mahjong Table, and waiting MONTHS for delivery. When people call or send messages their NO RESPONSE read more

horrible customer service!! I would never buy from this company! I placed a double order and asked for a refund for one of the orders and they refuse. It was three minutes after I placed the order. Ordered a sweatshirt from them over a month ago and it apparently "got lost in mail" they said they would send another order out and I have yet to even see a shipment notice on the new sweatshirt. Very disappointing. read more

I ordered a sweater from GirlTribe and was super surprised when i woke up the next day to an email saying i cancelled my order and was refunded When i reached out to customer service for a remedy and explanation i was told their "inventory was off" As a small business, you would think first impressions on first time customers would be integral to building your business into a brand that people recognize for their awesome products and even better quality control for the consumer. My suggestion - triple check your inventory before you go live with a product. Enough reviews like mine could have a lasting impact on your business. read more

Adorably little boutique shop with a great selection. There's everything from cute sweaters, tops, and blazers to Cher prayer candles. If you're into fun stickers or looking for some fun feminine CLT gear this is your spot. They've also got a few fun dinners that lines filled with sweaters with quotes and stickers; like Bravo, angel numbers, Taylor swift etc depending on what you're looking for. read more

Placed my order a month ago. 3 weeks later I get an email saying one of the item is out of stock due to the manufacturer. No big deal, I ask for a T-shirt instead. They then send me an order confirmation for all my tank tops switched to tshirts and in the wrong size. The amount of emails that had to go back and forth of me telling them same order over and over was insane. I have full receipts of the conversation too if needed. Ended up canceling my order. Really sad, I would have loved those items. Worst communication ever. read more

This store is run by a fabulous group of women who know what is up. They have accessories, casual clothing and products from other local small businesses like beauty products. During the holiday season they have gift boxes, and definitely check out their Panthers collection and supporting small business collection during this COVID-19 pandemic. They have flash sales on instagram so be sure to follow them! read more

Wow. My friend and I went here for the first time intending to spend a significant amount of money to update our spring and summer wardrobes. We were barely greeted and the two women acted like we were a bother to them. I asked about a sale item and one asked "isn't there a tag on it?" I said there was a regular price tag but it's on the sale rack. She responded: "30 percent off". My friend already had left due to the rudeness. I proceeded to leave. There was no goodbye or thank you. Just rude silence. I will never return to this store. What a disappointing experience as a newcomer to Charlotte and a visitor with me. Not the small business Charlotte I want people to see or expect. read more

Previously was a fan of girl tribe. Went in today and was ignored by the only two teenage (seemingly) employees in the empty store. They were busy talking about how one used to do modeling. We stayed five minutes waiting to be said hello to or asked if we needed help. Nothing. We walked out after five minutes without so much as a "bye" from them. Won't be back anytime soon. read more

This boutique is super cute and will catch any girly girl's eye! I was headed to visit the candle bar and parked right in front of this store. I couldn't help myself and decided to go in. This store carries a lot of unique and cute items. I will definitely visit again and spend more time when I'm not in a rush. I purchased a fashionable black fuzzy coat. It was very stylish, unique and warm. I cannot wait to wear it this weekend in DC. read more

The clothes are really cute but the young women working there are not nice whatsoever. I walked in just to look around and wasn't greeted at the door. I'm pretty sure I got a look of disgust from both girls who were working today 6/2/22. I very much got the feeling that I wasn't welcome there at all. If this is supposed to be a Girl Tribe and an uplifting company for other women someone needs to do some serious training with their employees in the store fronts. read more

My mother and I are African American and were blatantly discriminated against in this store today. With it now being 2023 this behavior is extremely hideous and tone death to our society. While entering the store there was zero acknowledgment but when others entered in that were white they were greeted warmly and in a welcoming manner. As my mother tried on clothes she received zero assistance or acknowledgment but instead stares as if we had no reason for being in the store. This review needed to be written today to make it known that black people clearly are not welcomed in this establishment! read more

i try to support small businesses but this is the perfect example of why I don't. I ordered a shirt and sweatshirt from Girl Tribe Co. and it never showed up. I emailed them to inquire about this and rather than offer any real assistance, they just said, "oh no, sorry. try talking to usps". Needless to say, it's been three weeks and I have neither merchandise nor a credit. I know big businesses are not great for the soul, but at least they take care of their customers. read more

My family and I went into this store a couple of weeks ago as it was our first time. The first red flag was that we were not greeted at the door and the employees working were too damn worried about their dinner plans after work to realize that they had customers. My sister found a necklace that she wanted and my mom told her to add it to the items that we were purchasing. After we purchased all the items we realized that the total was much higher than expected. We looked at the receipt and noticed that the necklace she had picked up was 52 dollars for a simple letter necklace. We then asked if we could return it since we thought it was a different price and did not think it was worth the 52 dollars. The employees proceeded to tell us, while we are still at the cash register, that we cannot return items as they apparently only do exchanges. WE HAD NOT LEFT THE STORE and yet they would not let us return the necklace and give us our money back. They said that they could call their boss but that it would take days, however anyone that works in retail should know that all you need to do is cancel the transaction and that customer service should be the employees number one priority, but these 2 employees could not have cared less. One of the employees told us that if she gave us our money back she could get fired, which is total BS. That was not the only red flag either. Another customer walked into the store and one girl with short hair proceeded to say "hey by the way we close in 10 minutes" and the women left. Like how rude could you be and who in the world trained you. Neither of them should we working in retail. My family and I will never ever go back here nor will we ever recommend the store. read more
