I recently visited this Nordstrom Rack location after moving to Charlotte, and overall, it was a solid experience. Nordstrom Rack has always been one of my favorite places to shop. I used to work at a full line Nordstrom years ago, so I know quality when I see it. That's why I love the Rack because you can always expect good brands at better prices than you'd find at the full line store. To some people, Nordstrom Rack still feels a little pricey for a discount store, but you really have to compare it to the original full line price tags. I live in the NoDa area, and I will say this location was a bit farther out than I expected, about 25 minutes from my house. I was honestly surprised that there isn't a Nordstrom Rack closer to the city. This one is more on the outskirts, which is fine, but it does make quick trips or exchanges a little less convenient. Yes, you can return items at the full line Nordstrom, but sometimes you just want to browse and see what's new. Parking here was easy, and the store itself was clean and well organized. Coming from Houston and then Florida, I wasn't used to seeing so many coats in stock, so that actually caught my attention. They had a big winter selection, and I ended up leaving with a super cute trench coat, a puffer jacket, and a couple of other cold weather pieces since I know Charlotte winters are going to be colder. The staff was about as friendly as you'd expect at a Nordstrom Rack, but they moved quickly, and the checkout line wasn't long. Overall, this location was consistent with the other Nordstrom Racks I've been to. No surprises, just the usual dependable Rack experience. I'd definitely return. read more

Came by looking for some items for a business trip coming up. I found a few things in here but definitely not as much as I have found at other locations. The store was very well stocked and clean. You didn't see much on the ground from items knocked down. The items I found were priced very well. No complaints. There was so much variety here that you could spend a lot of time in this store. Upon checking out, I was greeted by a young lady. She asked me about opening a store credit card and I told her no thank you. Her demeanor changed, lol! I mean I'm sorry that I don't shop here often enough but also store credit cards are too limiting! But anywho...nice experience here and I would return. read more

Sometimes the check out line is really long and not enough cashiers to ring people up. I needed to visit the Nordstrom Rack store to return an online purchase, and while it was a 30-minute drive, I figured I'd visit the store, rather than paying the return shipping fee. I've never been to Carolina Pavilion, but it was easily accessible from 485, and parking was a breeze. Nordstrom Rack is located at the front of the shopping center when entering off 485. The return was very easy. I arrived early afternoon on a Saturday, and the line was short, so it took no time for my return. I hadn't planned to shop, too, but I was so impressed with how the clean and well-organized the store looked that I decided to peruse the clothes and shoes. Nordstrom Rack is much nicer than a Marshall's or TJ Maxx. The clothes are neatly organized in racks by size, and I appreciated how easy it was to sift through my size to find a few good items. Their shoe department is also excellent. There are several rows of each size, and the boots are separated from the tennis and other shoes. I found several pairs of shoes at fantastic prices. I wish the purse department had a larger selection, but again, everything was nicely organized. I must mention the staff, too. Everyone I encountered was friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a great shopping experience, and I'll definitely return. read more

Been to Nordstrom, but first time at the Rack. Wow!!! Bargains galore with good quality merchandise.. Great place to shop and has items for the entire family. Good shoe selection. Better than DSW. Handbags are better quality and more brand name items. Went out with a Kate Spade bag, and I am not into handbags which says a lot. Check out can be a little confusing. Staff will take you off the line to ring you up if you are using a credit card. Be patient. Look for the green flags waved up in the air. Girls at the cash register will not say next on line. This was my first time in a Nordstrom Rack and boy was I overwhelmed! I wouldn't come in here looking for something specific because you'll never find it. The clothes were a mess and very difficult to sort through. They had a nice selection of handbags and jewelry. I will say that some of the prices were still fairly expensive. They had a great clearance section of items left over from the holidays. I was awake to score some teli-ties, urban decay, philosophy, and clay masks for $1-$5. Pretty excited about this find! They have some major high end brands and then some of their own Nordstrom Rack brands. HUGE shoe selection but that's to be expected since this department store is known for its shoes. read more

Very disrespectful management. We visited the store yesterday, May 27, 2021. When blacks are waiting in the checkout line, the cashier shuts down and makes us wait. When whites arrive in line, more cashiers are put on to serve them and give them better customer service. My sister finished her transaction and asked for a gift receipt for the merchandise she purchased. The manager did not want to accommodate her. He told the cashier to tell my sister the transaction is over. He wanted her to get back in line or leave without the gift receipts. When my sister stood her ground and asked to return every item purchased, only then, did the manager retreat and show the cashier how to complete gift receipts. The manager needs to lose the disrespectful attitude he has towards blacks as though their dollars don't matter. read more

This place is quit a hike from where I live but I made a purchase from Haute Look and you can make returns here! While there I looked around a little but I was really there to return a pair of Converse that came in the wrong size. I typically do not like these kinds of stores because, depending on the time of day that you walk in, clothes could be just about everywhere and I am not equipped with the patience to look through clothes. Well, this place was very neat and organized. I will likely come back just to shop. It is conveniently located in a shopping area with several other stores, so it's worth the trip. Any time I'm in Charlotte I have to stop in Nordstrom Rack. For one, it's never too crowded and tons of parking, and two- you cannot beat the prices for the brand names they have. I still went back to the 'burbs to visit Nordstrom Rack. So there. I like a great deal but I also like nice things. They make me feel all warm and toasty inside. That's why I was SO excited when I read an article last year that mentioned Nordstrom Rack was on its way to Charlotte. And this store did not disappoint in the least. Really friendly service and I also hear they have an on-site tailor too! Sweet. Some highlights for you from opening day... -Women's clothing: Some swanky brands! Milly, Alice & Olivia, more high end jeans than you could ever want (most price $69-$105), Kate Spade, BCBG, Joie and more. They also offer plus sizes! -Women's handbags: Fantastic selection with brands like Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs, B Makowsky, Rebecca Minkoff, etc. I saw everything from wallets to supersized bags. -Men's clothing: It's there. Hubs said there were some great deals on suits, shirts, ties and casual wear. Dudes - go check it out for yourself. -Shoes: Nordstrom's original feature from way back in the day. At this Rack you'll find rows and rows and rows of all sorts of footwear. From designer pumps to athletic shoes in all types of sizes, too - Women's: 4-13, Men's: 7-16 and they have a section for the kiddos too. No more crying that you can't find affordable shoes in your size. It's a good thing that I have to drive a (short) distance to get here otherwise this could get really ugly, really quickly. Nordstrom Rack is one of my favorite stores to shop for good reasons: 1. GREAT customer service! friendly staff available on the floor to help with you sizes, stock, etc 2. their shoe dept! I'm a size 5 which happens to be a size that a lot of stores are phasing out, so to have a whole wall devoted to my size is a luxury that I do not take lightly. to my ladies with small feet, they start at size four! 3. handbags! they have a healthy kate spade collection that you can usually find me lingering over when I make a visit If you are looking for more upscale clothing brands, they have a lot of the top names to be found at bargain prices on clearance. I suggest coming in on holiday weekends because they normally have a "clear the rack" sale where you can save an additional 20-25% off of their red tag merchandise. When visiting, take your time! I like this place. Well deserved four stars for selection of purses, makeup, and clothes. Sure could use some more high end shoe section though. Place - It's your typical Nordstrom Rack layout with accessories right upon entering the store. Shoes are towards the back, men's to the right, women's straight ahead and some to the right, and lastly kids section over to your left. The store is typically tidy, they have a lot of staff to help the flow of the cash registers. Service - I liked how they try to have a lot of cashiers on the registers to help the flow of the line. Or is it because it's the holiday season.... Price - If you want to chance it, prices will be lower if there's an additional sale on products you don't want to get yet. That's a win in my book! Pros - It is more of a hit or miss. On a rare day, I could find 3 awesome tops! Others, I come out with nothing. Cons - Need more high end shoe section! read more

I never leave Nordstrom Rack Empty Handed. As a former employee of Nordstrom (Full Line), I know all about the excellent customer care. I've never had a bad experience here. This Location is the BEST. Parking is convenient, less crowded, Very Clean, the staff is friendly and helpful. Like most Rack stores you have to dig around--- you'll be surprised what you find! I typically get lucky finding Dresses, Jumpsuits, Rompers and Shoes. The Jeans are a little pricey---I tend to stay away, Unless I get lucky finding something specific. The shoe department here is the devil.......I always find myself loaded down with all types of shoes here only to talk myself down to 1 or 2 pair or none at all unless it's a deal I can't walk away from. They really have a great shoe selection here. I don't usually find many deals on the clothes, so I don't spend much time going through those racks and racks of clothing. They have a small designer jewelry section with mostly high end watches and I've found really amazing deals. It's not a large store, and it seems overly crowded with merchandise at times and even with that, I must say that I always receive great service in the shoe and jewelry department. Thankfully, I don't get over to this side of town often but it is worth the trip when I do. read more

Current management is horrible. On a recent visit (2-14-21) to the Charlotte location I stood in line for almost 30 minutes to check out. There were 2 people working check out while I saw at least 6 employees stocking shelves and wandering around Including the store Manager! One of the two people handling check out was also answering phone calls! Unbelievable. The store manager saw the line of about 30 people and hearing people start to complain to each other just up and disappeared. Wonder where she got her "management" credentials? When I finally checked out I expressed my sympathy to the employee who was facing angry customers by the time they finally got to her. As I left the store I remarked "terrible customer service" to an employee "greeting" incoming customers. His response? "Have a nice day." Yikes. How about an "I'm sorry" which was in order? Pretty nice store that offers a lot of designer items. They have furniture clothes for all family members shoes toys make up and much more. Some of the prices are more than reasonable and others aren't even a discount I believe. They have several staff and they are friendly, but this place is packed majority of the time. Due to the large crowd items may be disheveled or not in the right spot. I feel like it's Black Friday every time I go in the door. Oh Boy, this place is going to be trouble (for me). I have been here twice already and they have only been open for 4 days. If you are a shop-a-holic, well you will not be able to recover from this store and you should seek help, this place is dangerous. For starters, it seems that this store will single handedly kick-start the economy as the store is absolutely packed full of customers, and the working staff is located throughout the entire store, and every register is open. The "Nordstrom Rack" store is a smaller version of the Nordstrom's located at Southpark Mall. I was able to find many of the same items for far much less than the mall location and the staff was very friendly and courteous. You will need to be a little patient as the store is very crowded and the dressing rooms and checkouts each had very long lines. They are very well organized and these folks definitely planned for the traffic. As you are in line, just look at the cashiers waving the colored flags to let you know that they are ready to take your money. (Not only at Disney does the money flow so freely from the wallets) Just an FYI- If you apply /approved for a credit card, and spend over $100.00, you will receive a $20.00 Gift card by mail. Nordstrom Rack is a must go to for all of your staple pieces and or brand name clothing and shoes for great prices! Nordstrom rack's customer service is one of the best to me. Quality! Quality! Quality!! That's what Nordstrom rack offers all the way around from merchandise to the service and experience. Yesterday they had some bomb sales i spent $250 and purchased about 6 pieces of clothing, some Versace perfume, and two pairs of boots one Tommy Hilfiger and the other SAM Endelman. My first trip to Nordstrom Rack was yesterday with my boyfriend, as he's definitely the fashion connoisseur of the couple. I think this place has the potential to be hit & miss. While I didn't shop for myself yesterday, the quick perusal of the women's area didn't do too much for me. However, the mens section was full of yumminess, as well as the shoe department. I love this store, and I come here often! They have a selection of designer and non-designer purses, clothing, accessories, and shoes. The store has great clearance events at the end of seasons. During these events even items already on clearance are additionally discounted by 30-40%. This is the best time to shop. I have awarded 4 stars because they over pack racks making it difficult to sort through clothing, and they often have a lengthy check out line (they should open more lanes). Pro tip: If you find something you love, but they don't have it in your size, let an employee know and they can likely order it for you to be shipped to your home. read more

Having only been to a Nordstrom Rack in Los Angeles California I was anxious to check out the Charlotte location. I arrived around 10:30 on a Sunday morning, yes, they open at 10:00 on Sundays, and was happy to see how clean and organized the store was. I also loved that I went around that time because the store was not overly crowded, however, by the time I left it was definitely more crowded. So, back to shopping. As Emily P. said I was more impressed with the accessories, purses, and shoes than the clothes. The other locations I have been too offered better brands/more variety. And, it was definitely not fun going through the racks due to the fact they pack them so tightly. But, I do love that they organize the racks by size so you are not hunting for what you need. Overall you can definitely find some good deals, but for me this is not my way of shopping. However, I definitely would come back to check out their shoes and purses...some great Kate Spade bags among some other great brands. read more

I love Nordy Rack!!! As a small-footed one, I love that I can find well made shoes in the 4.5-5 size range! Snaps for that alone *snaps, snaps*! My favorite time of the month is Clear The Rack event when the deeply discount the already discounted clearance section. Little known fact: The makeup section is actually really good and you can find some great gems there. $24.95 for an Urban Decay Naked Palette -- whhhaaattt!!?? Awesome! Another thing I love is that my husband actually enjoys shopping here. We always find him shirts and pants and we've bought numerous beautiful shoes for him here. read more

Nordstrom Rack is my favorite department store, period. Every where I go, if there's a Nordstrom Rack, I'll check it out and most likely will walk out with at least a bag or two. Prices are awesome!! My jeans collection based on retail price is enough to buy a nice used car, but of course I didn't pay retail (on average, I paid about 60-70% less). I have about 100 pairs of shoes and almost half of them were from Nordstrom Racks haha! So yeh, they have probably the best selections of shoes anywhere (even compared to dedicated shoe stores). Some locations have alterations on site, which is very useful. Some locations I've visited are not as good as others, but I feel this particular location is better than most. The only thing bad is the closest one on me is this one or the one in Greenville SC, and that's still almost 3 hours away. Nordstrom Rack, please come to Johnson City, TN. Please! read more

I love Nordstrom Rack! This store is especially good. They have lots of good merchandise that is well organized, and the cashiers check you out quickly and effectively. When I saw the long line, I thought I would wait forever, but was checked out within about 3 minutes. To top it off, i got a penny item! There was also a pricing error on my shoes, and the manager honored the lower price. I love shopping in this store, because I can always find great clothes and shoes!
