This store use to be my go to when I needed any housewares, towels, cookware, cheap glass ware, etc. Lately though I have noticed that this location has become more disorganized, and in disarray. It has become more difficult to find sizes and items without imperfections. I dislike going anywhere near the Empire center, due to the fact that it is impossible to find parking, in addition to having to deal with the masses searching for parking as well. A complete disadvantage for Marshall's, in my book. Aside from the lack of organization I do enjoy perusing the aisles and finding items at drastically lower prices than I would find elsewhere. I have found some pretty awesome deals after relentless searching. I found a set of Wusthoff knives in a beautiful dark wood block, 15 pieces for $150.00. That is one of the best prices I have ever seen this set sold for. I have also seen many shades and sizes of the popular Le Creuset line at very reduced prices as well. Unfortunately they never seem to have any pieces in fennel, so I guess it's time to suck it up and buy them at full price from Williams Sonoma. I have also scored some awesome apparel at bargain prices from this location as well. I have found and made a part of my wardrobe a pair of fantastic Nine West snake skin heels in orange, that fit like a glove and could not be more comfortable, for the bargain steal of $20.00. It pays to shop around and to invest time searching for things here, it can pay off big time; saving you the time of driving all over town, and money from driving around town and not to mention paying full price! Horrible cust. Service! Returns is bs! They refuse to return anything even with a receipt within the 30 day time frame. Giving excuses such as "you used it once" no ish Sherlock how am I going to know if I like it!? I wouldn't mind if I went into this "beautiful" store and not see disgusting markdowns that have finger prints on them or that are half way used because customers dig into products to test them out and they are still trying to make a buck off of it, but ooo no me returning a lotion that gave me a rash is where they draw the line! Ok so this went from a 1star to a 5 star thanks to SAMANTHA the real manager at the store. All I had to do was explain my issue.She was apologetic and very professional and asked me to come in and return the goods for a full refund .I did . See below for the original review I posted . Despite the fact that I have been a loyal MARSHALL'S shopper for years , I just had a horrid experience at the Burbank store .I was dealing with a so called assistant manager named $%^&* who decided that the shoes I was returning for my wife were "used " After arguing with her till I was blue in the face and explaining that the shoes were mis-marked she remained firm on not accepting the return .She was rather rude and rigid and the farthest thing from "management" minded .She single handedly has turned this experience into a most unpleasant visit. It wasn't even as though I was looking to get money back. I had a stack of stuff I was intending to buy that I just left right there and stormed out ! I am waiting to see how her superiors handle this matter as I will continue to pursue this simply on principal. For now they have earned themselves this one star rating . read more

I have been to a lot of Marshall's in my time and there are good ones and bad ones. This one is just down the middle. Not the best organized and hardly the worst. It is just mediocre. There are some nice people who work there and there is one mean woman who really stands out. Watch out for her she's mean really mean! Yo will recognize her by the hateful look on her face. I found a few things that made some great gifts that I wasn't necessarily looking for but I also didn't find the things that I was looking for. I saw an awesome pair of shoes that I considered buying but I couldn't find its mate and I was't about to go looking through all these boxes that were kinda smashed into the display. That was a bummer. Some of the store associates commented on how adorable my daughter is but they were not able to answer some of the questions that I had about the availability of some products that I'd see elsewhere in the store. On some toss pillows, I couldn't find a price to save my life. I also wasn't able to find a bar code. So, although I took it to the cashier, they were not able to give me a price. That was very upsetting as well. The few things that I did find, I was able to get some great deals. I'll return for some more gift ideas but this time I will have some pretty low expectations. Buy lotion at your own risk and find out what else is on their "no return" list - because if the product is bad you won't be able to return it and you may not even know it's not returnable. I bought a lotion that I usually buy elsewhere and it didn't smell right / it smelled really foul. I took it back with my receipt and they told me they don't do refunds on lotions "like they told me when I bought it". Well, no one told me and I have never seen any store signs about this. The lady also kept talking to me in an accusing tone like I was trying to pull a scam. But I bought a defective product and then couldn't return it. She also listed other products that cannot be returned, which I've never seen signs about either. read more

From a guys point of view: This place is just a hot mess of un-organization! Although they might have what you're looking for, you really gotta pick your way through the clothing. "eh bahdee, eef you like Ed Hardy & Tap Out tees, deees is the place to get'em!" To those guys with a bit more sense of fashion, its here, you just gotta sift through d-bag apparel to get to it. For you business types, they have more crappy ties than good. There's a poor selection of dress shirts & in my experience, wrong sizes in size bins. I found my 17"/32-33s in a 16"/32 bin. They do have some really great sports paraphernalia; USC, UCLA, Dodgers...it all depends on week to week shipments. More times than not, I've been able to find cool Dodgers wear. If you're on a wardrobe budget like me & need something on the fly, this is the place to get it. Just be sure to set aside a good hour to find it. I hear they have a house wares dept & shoes & even women stuff! Unfortunately, I can't review these as I don't travel further than the men's dept. In a pinch for a gift? I'm sure you'll find some cheap tchotchke as they line them up on shelves as you wait in the check out line. They always seem to have what I'm looking for. Rounding up from 3.5 stars. I had a very disappointing experience at this Marshalls last week- a customer came in and insisted she be waited on ahead of several people already in line because she had a taxi waiting- and the clerk opened the register just for her!!!! The woman made her purchase while the rest of us were still waiting- and then the woman closed the register!!!! This was really disrespectful to the numerous other customers waiting who most likely had other demands on their time- I made a complaint to the store and to Marshalls customer service but of course nothing will be done- What is wrong with people! read more

Being a Ross regular, I stumbled upon this Marshall's while in Burbank. I was pleasantly suprised by the amazingly organized merchandise, number of staff buzzing around the store organizing the racks and shelves, fast lines and great check out service. Wow! Coming from a Ross girl, I didn't think it was possible to get all of the above. I find Marshall's to be just slightly higher priced than Ross, but they definitely have a better selection of high end name brands and great quality items. read more

The selection of items is not that great, tt is always very very very messy and disorganized, the staff is not friendly, Long Lines that never seem to move. (If I ever find anything that I actually want to buy, the super slow moving lines turn me off so bad that I just drop the things I want to purchase and turn to leave the store) read more

I like shopping here but on the weekends it can be a pain in the ass and you can find yourself waiting in line for a while. They have good selection of kitchenware, gadgets, and home decor. Usually prices are much lower for name brand cookware. It can be a hit or miss sometimes finding duplicates of chairs or plates you may like. It's a great place to mix and match furniture, and find things to just simplify and organize your kitchen. It's a good place to find things you didn't know you needed lol. read more

Walked in here to find a horrible chemical odor throughout the store, to top it off AC system wasn't running. The closing announcement was made at 9:30 and never heard a pre-closing announcement. This location is my most favorite one! Even my husband that hates going to the mall or shopping in general, loves this store! I was there last night and in a hurry to get out to make it home on time but it was pretty busy and the line was long! I noticed this employee came and organized the line and talked to cashiers while greeting the customers and not sure what she did but it worked, the line moved so fast and I was out in a few minutes! I didn't get a chance to talk to her but I heard she was the manager! She was maybe in her early 60s and wearing a top with yellow flowers! I hope to bump in to her on my next shopping trip to thank her in person for the remarkable job she does! What an amazing team! My job involves marketing and business development, and I don't get pleased easily! This location has a large selection of clothing, shoes, and kitchen wares. I came here looking for fun holiday gifts, and they were set up with several large tables of gift baskets and cute gift ideas. It is a hit or miss kind of store. I left without any holiday presents but with two home goods for myself. Unfortunately the line to check out was long, they had a friendly greeter, but I would have rather she worked behind the counter at the checkout stand to speed things along. And...out of all of the Marshall's and Ross' that I've been in...the one in Burbank has the best selection. I swear. Now, it is still messy in that Marshall's way and you do still have to dig for finds (but isn't that part of the whole Marshalls' experience anyway?) but they carry more high end stuff than most Marshall's do. And when I say that, I'm talking stuff that you'd normally kill to find in a Marshall's - like Betsy Johnson sunglasses, Kenneth Cole sandals, and the best assortment of expensive jeans you can find without walking into a boutique. read more

Love Marshall's and this store is usually pretty well stocked. However, this particular Marshall's always, always, has an outrageous line at the check-out... and it is not because they are so busy, it is because they never have enough cashiers working. I have repeatedly seen two cashiers working when there are 15+ people standing in line at this store. Many times I have just put down items that I had intended to buy and walked out in frustration. And it is not just me... I have talked to other people while waiting in non-moving lines at this store and it is an observation shared by many, who agree that it is just this particular store. Well before the holidays, I was standing in the non-moving line when I spotted a woman with a manager's tag on -- I stopped her and politely asked if she could get another cashier or too, indicating the long line [a sentiment immediately echoed by others waiting in line] and she actually snapped at me, "The line moves fast!" and strode off! Well, no, Miss-Manager, the line does not move fast and it is a problem at your store. Again, I love Marshall's, so I am thankful that not all of the stores are managed as poorly as this one. Drive to the Marshall's in LaCanada or Studio City = a fast check-out line. read more

This is a nice Marshall's. I prefer Marshall's over TJ Maxx anyway because I feel like they always have a much better housewares section. This store is not as big as other locations, but it is neat and clean. The staff is friendly. I always stop in here when I am go the Empire Center.. tons of great stores in that plaza so I find myself visiting the area often. read more

NO STARS....Terrible Experience... I had the store in Santa Clarita, CA call the men dept.in Burbank, CA to check on a Black Commuter Levi's Jack and price. The sale rep went to look for it and came back to the phone and said she had it in two color and size M and XL...we ask are you sure and do you want the sku# she said " I know which one your talking about" I asked her to hold the blue jacket (M)...I drove from Santa Clarita, CA to Burbank, CA . When I got there she first spelled my Name JONa and my name is John. The jacket she held for me was demi Blue acid washed jacket not Levis at all...So you could imagine I was upset. First of all no one the cant speak, writer or understand English, should not ever work with the public "NEVER" ....English is our first language here in America and we should respect that period. I was telling the Rep. about her error that she made. She never wanted to identify that it was her ignorance of the product and the store... she still didn't get it...then the store manager Edith gives terrible customer service by say "I'm going to let you complain but you're not going to call my staff names... which I didn't. I referenced the staff's ignorance of the product and the store... I asked for corporate information after she came to the conversation uninformed and out of order I'll send the corporate office a review about her store and service. Sorry Edith and the men's dept. Rep. But you shouldn't be in customer service or have a job! Dirtiest Marshall's known in existence. WOW! Went to this location not too long ago to see what I could find. To my surprise this location has the most brand names out of any other one I've been to. They have Seven, True Religion, Juicy, BCBG, and many more top brands for half the price you would get them for at other department stores. Yes, the styles might be from last season, but ultimately if something looks good on you for a fraction of the price, who cares? For men they also had some name brand items, but not nearly as much as the girls section. They had brands like Lucky and Perry Ellis just to name a few. If you're patient and persistent you're bound to find something you like. Minus one star for sometimes not being able to find cute stuff in my size. I've either got to gain 50 lbs or turn anorexic....boooo...... They also don't have a very good shoe selection, so if you're looking for shoes, go to a designated Marshalls shoe mega-store for a better selection. This location basically has the best selection of jeans and tops. read more
