This Marshalls is located at the Empire Center, specifically located between TJ Maxx & Target (Nordstrom Rack is 2 doors down). After shopping at Nordstrom Rack with my mom this past Friday, my mom wanted to check out Marshalls and TJ Maxx. Now I am not exactly a shopper of Marshalls, but my mom truly loves to shop at this store. This store was clean without clothes on the floor, which is surprising to me because most Marshalls locations that I have been in is one hot mess! Since we came on New Year's day, there was a clearance on Christmas decor and food items. As I browsed through the hand bags and shoes, I was not surprised with the selection. Some of the prices were a little cheaper than Nordstrom Rack, but most were not. My mom came in here looking specifically for a pair of pants and tights, but did not find exactly what she was looking for. So we left empty handed. If we were ever shopping in this plaza again, we will stop by here (because my mom wants to). read more

Do not shop from here. Horrible customer service. When an item doesn't have a tag they get something random that looks like it and create a tag, but when you return the item they insist that the tag has been changed and they treat you like a criminal. If I wanted to make money I would have changed it for something expensive and not for an item that is $19.99. read more

The Marshalls brand is very smart. The store is well-stocked and they have most things that you would need for affordable prices. But the store is messy and there seems to be no store-pride. I have been to the Marshalls in Newnan, GA, Palm Springs, CA, Robinson Center, PA and their stores are very well maintained and the personnel seem to be proud to be working there. The attitude of the employees in Burbank & Glendale is "Meh" and the shelves in housewares are always messy. It's a hard one to figure out. read more

It's okay, about what you'd expect at any Marshall's, but there isn't much good to find in men's clothing. I used to be able to find good things like CK Jeans shirts, but now it seems like mostly off-brand junk that no one wants. I stop by once in a while in the hopes of finding something good, but rarely buy anything anymore because there just isn't much to choose from clothing-wise. But you can still find luggage and kitchen items like cookware, etc. read more

Just had a horrible experience at this location. It started when I was standing in line to return a bed set. The bed set was $70 but felt like it should've been $20. Not a big deal, that's part of what return policies are for. As I'm standing in line an employee, Lida, asked me to scoot over and pushes past to get the "go backs" from the shelves in line. She was not social distancing at all. As she was straightening the shelves she was talking to me and talking mess about Marshall's customers, she said their customers there are lazy, slobs, and have no manners. She told me she cleans up after people all day every day but at least she gets paid for it, which is different than when she is at home and she doesn't get paid for cleaning up after people. I just kind of laughed along but it was awkward and I felt it was disrespectful her for her To be talking mess about customers like that. So I get up to the front and the cashier had to go to the manager for the return approval. The same lady, Lida, came up and told me she would not return the item because it was not re-sellable because it was not clean. It was no dirtier than it was when I bought it, I put it on the bed and realized right away it would not work and took it right back off, I didn't even sleep with it one night. I asked for her supervisor and she said she was the supervisor. She continued to argue with me and finally she gave me the number to the store and told me to call back tomorrow to talk to the store manager. I asked what her supervisors name was and asked if she could write it down for me and she literally wrote down "store manager". We went back-and-forth another five minutes and she walked away multiple times before she finally wrote down something that doesn't even look like a name but we will see when I call back tomorrow. I literally do not understand how she can treat people this way, Why she has a job like this when she feels like that about customers, Why she would talk mess about customers to a customer and why she will not follow the stores return policy. I typically love marshals but it's always something with this particular store and this experience just took the cake. So disappointed Update: I went straight from the Burbank marshals to the studio city marshals. They returned the item no questions asked. I went to the Marshalls at the Empire Center in Burbank, California today with my wife, my toddler son, and infant son. It was very busy in the store with a super long checkout line. When we were finally called to a cashier we got Diana. Even though she must have been exhausted dealing with hundreds of people all day long she was so friendly with us. It is really appreciated by me when someone reaches out to you on a personal level. Diana offered me a TJ Maxx/Marshalls credit card, which I had had in the past, so I decided to get one. Diana had her manager Armineh help us and she was also extremely friendly and courteous. I have to say that people can spend their dollars anywhere, but they are most likely to go somewhere where they are treated as a valued customer. Hats off to the crew at the Empire Center Marshalls for the way they treat their customers even when they are so busy and have so many people to deal with. read more

Came here for work pants, which I found quickly! The issue is the customer service. When I was called to register the cashier, Levon, didn't look at me or say hello even after I said hello. He didn't even tell me my total. I had to look at the screen to see. He gave me my receipt and change and still not a word. Just plain unfriendly & rude. I love this specific location! There are 2 Marshalls closer to me but I choose to drive additional miles and come to the one in Burbank! They have an excellent customer service, the store is always clean and perfectly organized! I have to specifically thank one of the employees "Lida"! I was there a few days ago and, she noticed my foot was in cast so she came and grabbed my shopping cart and said "please follow me, you shouldn't be waiting in line" I was so touched and emotional! She took me all the way to the front and made sure the cashier took care of me so I wouldn't have to wait! If this is not above and beyond, I don't know what it is! Make sure, that you have a tag on your clothes, because without it you would never return them. I bought 3 t-shirts last week for my family, but I choose the wrong sizes. I came to return them with original receipt, but they refused me to do it. I cannot understand, why they have no tags on all the items, why the customer has to look for it and ask the staff. My daughter had a few items to return one with a receipt and one without a receipt and the manager was called to ask if she could return the one without a receipt. The manager said she could give her store credit for it and that was fine as my daughter just bought some other things for her home. Very nice cashier and manager was very polite. I know immediately if a Marshalls is a Marshalls I want to stay and buy something in or if I want to immediately walk out. This Marshalls wasn't my favorite. Walk in. Touched a lace bralette. Price tag. Walk out. There's such a wide range of Marshall's stores- some you walk in and it's like an old lady's garage sale, unorganized crap all over the place with no rhyme or reason, then some are like a Macy's department store, with too much overpriced garbage and "sales" that really are not sales. I don't want to see a $50 item on a clearance rack. This one is not what I think of when I think of discount store, Marshalls, Ross, etc. The hierarchy goes something like this listed from most expensive to least expensive: Nordstrom Rack TJMaxx Marshalls Ross I'm most often drawn to a Marshalls. They have decent enough brands and acceptable prices. Ross is more often like the garage sale I mentioned earlier, with unrecognizable brands and a lot of children with mother's who tune out their screaming. TJMaxx is getting too expensive, I don't want to see a $500 purse on sale for $350, that's still not a deal or in my price range, but I also don't want to buy a pair of leggings from Wal-Mart that is now on sale at Ross with a hole in the crotch. This Marshalls was gallivanting more like a TJMaxx and possibly even a Nordstrom Rack. It'd be like walking into the 99 Cent Store and seeing Whole Foods pricing and products. I don't like it, not one bit. Now, the Marshalls that is located in Beverly Connection across the street from the Beverly Center, that's a proper TJMaxx, Marshalls, Ross hierarchy set up, they each know who they are and what their deal is. As someone who has worked in customer service, this location doesn't even come close to providing an ounce of good customer service. Came to return a novelty gift (a pair of boxers in a soda can) I got for someone for Christmas because the actual item was missing from the inside of the can and a tumbler cup that I hadn't noticed was broken when I bought it. When I arrived I noticed that the line was really long so I chose to walk around since I wanted to see if I could find a replacement for the item I was returning, but the exact item wasn't available and similar items didn't have the size I needed. Once I noticed the line had gotten shorter, I made my way to the line with a couple of extra items I was going to purchase and my returns. The cashier started the process for the return and I explained to her that the can was empty and that was why I was returning it. She explained that she needed to check with her manager/supervisor and I understood because she might need approval for that specific situation even though it was just a $5.99 item. The cashier came back with her supervisor (Armineh) and Armineh proceeded to state that in order to process the return she would have to check the cameras because she didn't know if I had just stolen the item from inside. Keep in mind I was returning the item with the receipt and that I let the cashier know why I was returning it because I wanted to be honest and had noticed that she was about to complete the return without checking the inside of the can before I even mentioned that it was empty when it was opened by the person I gave it to because it felt like there was something in there (the main reason i didn't check it when I purchased it). It's truly disrespectful to verbally express to a customer that you believe they've stolen an item when you have no proof, especially when I could've just let the cashier complete the return and gotten my refund and let them sell an item that was empty again, but I didn't I was honest and was still treated like a thief. Armineh continued to argue with me about how she couldn't approve the return and changed the reason 2 times after accusing me of stealing. She stated that she couldn't accept the return because it was a Christmas item, which was false because they had the same type of novelty gifts throughout the men's section for the same price that was on the one I was returning. She then changed the reason to it being past the 30 days, which was also false because it was the last day I could make a return for the full refund. Once she ran out of invalid reasons, she said that she would approve the return this one time. Getting $5.99 back wasn't the reason I stood my ground on her completing the return, it was the fact that they are clearly not making sure that the items they are selling are complete when placed back on the shelf, I don't like being accused of something I didn't do especially when I'm going out of my way to be honest with you and make sure that it doesn't happen to someone else, and the fact that it was $5.99 and I was still spending more money means that it wasn't even going to be a loss to them. As a manager/supervisor, you're supposed to know how to properly deal with a situation like this and accusing customers of stealing right from the beginning is definitely not a way to provide good customer service. I will definitely be staying away from this specific location because it's not worth the stress of being treated like a criminal. read more

I'm going to let you all in on a little secret that will save you money if you are into the following types of decor. If you like a Moroccan feel, and old world feel, a Spanish feel or even a Greek feel to your home decor....COME HERE. Now, granted and it's a major granted, you will probably have to sort through a lot of crap that looks like you spent the $9.95 asking price on it, BUT hidden on those metal shelves are golden scores that once in the right setting aka your stylishly decorated home, will fool even the snobbiest of interior decorators! I know this, because I know many a snobby ID, sorry guys, but without fail they never know the difference. So if you like the stuff at Z Gallery, Bombay Company, Anthropologie or any of these other fancy pants overpriced stores, do yourself a favor and try here first. The mens section is really good compared to most Marshalls I have been to. Lovely bunch of stuff we got. I needed a pair of dress shoes, so my wife suggested Marshall's. They didn't have a wide variety on display, but I was able to find a style I liked. As I looked through the stacks of boxes, I realized the only available pair was on display. That was fine with me, but one of the shoes was missing a shoelace. I asked a nearby sales representative if they sold shoelaces and replied no. She then asked me to follow her to the back room where she would look for a possible replacement. When we got there she called her manager and explained the situation. Her manager left for a short time and came back with a large box filled with a tangled mess of shoelaces. They looked through it to find possible matches, but could not find a match. The sales rep then said she would go back to one of the display models and would pull a lace. Her manager said she didn't have to do that and that I can just look through the box and choose the shoelace I want. At that point I had already spent 20 minutes with them and decided it wasn't worth it. I politely said it was OK and I didn't need the shoes that badly and left the store. I'll probably never know why the shoelace was missing in the first place, but I'll also probably never shop there again either. read more

I've purchased many useful, brand named items at great prices. Although I personally never had a bad experience while shopping at Marshall's, I never anticipate quality customer service. Long lines are expected at discount department stores. If possible, it's best to shop and return items during the first few hours they open. read more

The only problem I have with Marchall's (this specific location) is that it is in the empire center. The bane of my existence. Where finding parking can take a few hours on busy days, where it is better to just walk from your house then try to drive here and so on... Anyway, They have a great selection of things. Clothing, home goods, knick knacks. I always find something cool. They also have a great return policy. It is really easy to return things here, they never ask questions. We bought a bowl, we didn't notice that it was cracked until we got it home and then just didn't have time to take it back until about a month later. They took it, no questions asked! Be prepared though to dig through the mens section, its just messy. read more

This is for this Locations as well as corporate. One star simply due to the fact that the line to check out is always minimum 15 minutes but have waited up to 30 min. Also it is supposed to be a bargain store, however these days prices are higher at Marshals/Tj max/Home Good (same company) than all other similar stores. In fact I found the identical items cheaper at Walmart. Also to get in touch with there customer service is made very difficult. Phone hours are banker hours and composing an email it stated that I provided confidential information such as credit card number / social security number etc and to remove this information and try to resend. Certainly no such info was in the email form. It feel as their corporate division really don't want to hear from their patrons. read more

This is a neatly organized and clean location directly next to Target in the Empire shopping center. I had a return but lost my receipt, I was hoping they could just look up my purchase via credit card like Target does but unfortunately they don't have that capability and I have a tendency to lose my receipts. I was called over to the counter by a nice lady her name started with an "A"... Azeliba?? Sorry.. I explained to her my situation, she offered me a store credit and was very pleasant and efficient. Fun to shop at Marshall's! I scored a $40 Wedgwood teacup for $10... gorge! I also love their rosemary potato chips, they have some cool lamps at reasonable prices, and kitchen gadgets for anything you can imagine! Normally I love shopping at my local Marshall's in Murrieta. However, I was shopping for some furniture for my mom who lives nearby. I was checking out the funiture at this location and testing out the chairs to buy when a gray wavy haired employee told me to get off. I think she thought I was teenager. Oh Marshall's, how I love to hate you. So, I can get some good deals here, specifically on cook wear and home products. The clothing is disorganized and overwhelming for me, so I tend to just walk past it. But the lines, OMG, the lines here are horrible. Yes, I have waited 30 minutes more than once. This is not during holiday shopping, just everyday weeknight shopping. The worst is that there is a line during the day. I generally go around 10:30 am on Wednesday mornings and yes, I wait in a line. The staff is often rude and not helpful. But, if I can get a good deal, I will wait in a looooooooooooooooooooooong line. read more

I usually love coming to Marshall's. The one in Burbank sucks. I wanted to buy a yoga mat but the one I liked was opened and dirty. I asked the cashier for a discount since it was opened and dirty, she asked her manager, her name is Maria. Who knows if that's her real name, but she did not want to give me a discount. When items are opened and damaged you're supposed to give the customer a discount. What are you going to do with damaged items?? read more

I LOVE Marshall's. Compared to the TJ Maxx next door, the Ross in Downtown Burbank, and yes, even the Nordstrom Rack next door, this place is THE BEST. The customer service is generally pretty nice, and there is a nice selection of stuff here. It's not the biggest store in the world, but I personally love it. The shoe selection is pretty good, especially for women. The apparel is also good; you can find some nice deals. I also love their Jelly Belly jelly beans, and little nic-nacs that I love. If you haven't gone, go! ;) During the busy times, there is some competition for parking, but I'm pretty sure you can always find parking regardless. read more
