My wife and I stopped by this TJ Maxx while we were in the area. I never been to a TJ Maxx before but my wife wanted to look at their jewelry and purses. The store is very well organized, I didn't see one item on the floor. They were pretty busy for a Tuesday night. They had purses on the right when you entered into the store. My wife didn't see anything she like so she went straight to the jewlery. She found some items that she likes and give me hint what she wanted. Afterwards we just walked around the store and they were pretty stock. This store is in a big plaza so you should not have any issues finding parking. read more

Terrible customer service. I was shopping at the store on Thursday at 2:00. The line was so long and only 2 cashiers. I ask the mgr on duty if she could open another register because they line was so line she said no I'm sorry. When I finally got to the register I told her that I used to be an employee at HoneGoods and we would call for back up until the line was under control. She was rude and said that she was pulled from her dept and know no one is working in her dept. now. That's part of that position. No need to be rude. She should have apologized instead of complaining about her job. I then went next store to Marshall's. No lines when I walked in and almost all the register were working when I made a purchase cause of the line. Goes to show you that management was much much better at Marshall's. TJ Maxx is a love and hate relationship for me. Sometimes I find nice things and sometimes nothing at all. I mostly stop by to check out their home section where I can find plates, bowl, cups etc. this location is convenient and has a lot of parking space. My encounter with the manager was very rude. I'm a cashier at a different tjmaxx and manager at this location denied me my employee discount because it was on paper. Didn't even look at my employee number and said no without hesitation. She just was lazy to manually give me my discount. She then proceeded to speak with another manager on the side instead of ringing out other customers. It took me having to call my store manager to speak to this manager to allow me my discount and even then she didn't want to give it to me. Heres the story of how TJ Maxx made my credit score drop -7 points by signing me up for a credit card against my knowledge! I still haven't heard back from the manager from the store who said she would email me this past week: Won a $200 gift certificate, so went here to spend it. My total was 199 and some change, so I rounded up to exactly 200 as the cashier asked if I'd like to round up and make a donation to a kids foundation. All was going great until this point. Then, the cashier offered 10% if I signed up for "rewards program." Cool. $20 off, and she said "you can come back and spend the rest." I, as any person with common sense would assume, thought that meant I would only get charged $180 and have $20 left on the card. So, I naively gave them my information, thinking it was a rewards program like the grocery. After giving them my personal information, the cashier said I would only get the 10% off if I submitted something with the rewards card???? This made me a little upset but I pay the full $200 anyways since it was a gift card. But, when I see the receipt, it says the "rewards program" is actually TJMAXX credit card! So my information was used to apply for a TJMAXX credit card against my knowledge. I soon get a notification of an inquiry on my credit report app, so I angrily stayed around the store and spoke the manager Anahid, who dismissed my concerns of my credit score being affected and could only give me a customer service number to call. I left the store unsatisfied with her response and had to call transunion to ask the if they can do something. Best they said was wait a week or 2 because they have to submit a claim to cancel it to TJ MAXX. No word from them yet. Next day I get call from "Liz" at the store who speaks very nicely and sounds like she wants to help me out, so I tell her whats happening and shes says she will call me back after the weekend. I spoke to her the following Monday, and she said she would submit an email record, so I could have something in writing, and would call me at end of the week to confirm she submitted cancellation. I have not heard back from "Liz" at TJ Maxx, nor have I received any contact or confirmation from TJ Maxx that I submitted a request to have this cancelled. My credit score is now -7 points, and as a young person trying to save for a house, this is very upsetting. TJ Maxx are schemey mfers who stole my information on promise of a discount and then signed me up for a credit card. Yes, i was naive to give my information, but I feel so preyed upon, and now my credit score is affexted and noone has reached out to me. Never spending my money at TJ MAXX, Marshalls, Home Decor, Sierra, or any other affiliates after this unresolved nightmare. Attached pictures of the Cashier and Manager if anyone at TJ Maxx cares to educate them on how these "rewards programs" have real world effects on people. Still no idea if my requests have been submitted, because there has been no confirmation email......I asked many times for something in writing not just on the phone but noone seems to care. This place has a little bit of everything! After failing to find a decent pair of boots at JcPenny's, my friend suggested here. And boy am I glad it didn't work out at the other store. Found a great pair if boots for $30! Easy peasy! Wandered around the store and found myself picking up "must haves" that I can't believe I've lived without all these years. Lol. And all for a fair price. They have a lot of high end, last season items..which in my world are still too expensive. But if you're a label shopper, you can certainly find some great deals. Only thing I didn't like was the line. It was long and you're standing in a gauntlet of last minute crap that taunts you. Even though most of the registers were open, it still seemed like it took forever. And if it wasn't for the fact I really needed these boots,I would have likely just set my stuff down and walked out. They are enforcing the number of people in the store to promote social distancing. Of course, you can't control what people in the store do, such as standing very close to me in the check out lane. I came here really for one thing and one thing only... New perfume. Of course I ended up buying more, I mean who doesn't love a classic TJ Maxx shopping spree? HOWEVER...all of the perfume is locked away in a case. OK, that's fair. They don't want people stealing their perfume! I can understand that. So I press the button to have someone help me unlock it. Someone comes by almost immediately (thank goodness!) The nice woman helping me asked which bottle I would like to buy. Well...I don't know yet cause I haven't been able to smell any of them? I mean, when you're buying a product that is solely based on smell, I want to know what is is going to smell like! Duh! I told her I wanted to test a couple to smell them, and she said that they do not allow that. Huh?? How am I supposed to buy PERFUME without knowing what it smells like?? So weird. Thankfully they had a brand I have already used before, so I just picked that one out. Then she says, "Awesome!! I'll put this on hold for you at the checkout counter." What?? Ugh fine. So I finish my shopping, go to check out, I let them know that I have a bottle on hold, and they forgot to give it to me! So after unloading my cart, I had to go back in and ask for my bottle, again. I finally got it and asked the cashier why they don't let you smell the perfume before buying. She basically said because it is too expensive when people are wasting perfume like that. Honestly, I don't come here for the clothing because they are mostly not my style and on the pricey side. But I do just come in for the special deals on unique items like a lunch box I have been wanting to get and good food related items. Fortunately, I found the lunch box that I wanted and it had a pretty pattern available, so I snagged that right away. But unfortunately the balsamic and olive oil flavored garlic mix in a bottle that I got before wasn't available anymore, even in their sister store, Marshalls. There was a bit of a hold up when paying since they were low on cashiers, but didn't have to wait too long and was out of there soon enough. read more

TJ Maxx will always be a special place where I can spend at least 2 hours browsing (and finding things I never knew I needed). This particular TJ Maxx store is very spacious. There's a great variety of products available at this store. I always go straight to the jewelry counter first to see if there's any good deal on fashion jewelry. Most of the times, I get an awesome piece of jewelry for a really good price. Earrings are my weakness. I bought a few Samsonite suitcases for myself and my parents from this TJ Maxx. If you plan to travel, be sure to check out the luggage department! There are so many useful items like memory foam travel neck pillows, super cute passport holders, and adorable luggage tags. The parking lot is very, very large, but it gets really crowded on the weekends. Stay calm and don't get involved in a parking space feud. read more

As with all TJ Maxx locations, this place is hit or miss. Sometimes they have just what you're looking for. Other times you completely strike out. Also, if you DO find what you're looking for, look it over before you buy it and walk out. I can't tell you how many times I've found just the right thing only to see that there are some huge scratches or dings on the item rendering it junk. I wish they took the time to go over their inventory and removed things like that off the floor. Marking down a broken piece of furniture doesn't make it a bargain. My husband and I came by here after we walked out of Target (located in the Empire Center by the way). I actually have never been in a TJ Maxx store before (funny, I know, but totally true) and wanted to just take a look and see how this store would compare to Ross & Marshalls (I just figured it would be especially similar to Marshalls since they are owned by the same company). It had the same layout as Marshalls, but just seemed smaller than I would have imagined. Usually Marshalls or Ross stores are packed with a TON of items (decor, kitchen ware, apparel, etc). The dressing room area looked very neat and clean and quite organized by the 2 employees running the area. Things were not on the floor and did not look like it was just thrown anywhere and everywhere. There is plenty of great name brand items at an excellent discounted price. I will definitely have to check out the TJ Maxx store near my home and start shopping there. Overall, a nice store and I am now going to be a fan of TJ Maxx. read more

This is a very serious review peeps, pay atrention and I hopw I can Explain myself. So I came to return a give from Christmas. Shoes fit me too big. I had the gift receipt. It total 43.and cents. I asked if I can get cash I was told no. Only store credit. Ok! So I got a gift card. So as I was leaving I changed my mind and stayat the store and I got me some other stuff ( That I dont really need.) As I get to the cashiers to pay. I hand her the same gift card which remember it has $43. and cents. My total was $47. and cents and the cashiers advise me that thw gift card only has $35.00 are you following me. So if I was to left the store and use the gift card some other day. I would of have been rip off from this store $8.50 to be exact. I asked to speak to manager. A very disrespectful women. She as everyone what was happenings and didn't even look at me in the eye. It was awkward and uncomfortable to call them out on this that os probably taking place allover and people is not noticing. 5 stars. Great prices. Excellent selection. Ultra organized store. Wonderful location. But... here's why I am leaving a 5 star review - the customer service is fantastic. On a VERY rare occasion, I walked into this store while on the phone. I usually don't walk around on the phone in public. While most people find this acceptable, I think it's vulgar and impolite. However, a friend of mine was in the middle of a very sensitive story - therefore, instead of calling her back, I finished the conversation while I began my shopping. I wear glasses when driving and in a haste to get into the store, I neglected to take them off. At some point, while looking at the wonderful rugs, my glasses must have slipped off. I started to open and lay out the rugs on the floor to see how they looked in full. I made a selection, purchased the rug and left. After getting back into the car, apparently I grabbed my "back up" pair of glasses (not even realizing it) and drove home. The next day (a Monday) - it occurred to me - wow, these are not my regular glasses!! Oh no... what happened to them? Wait, I think I had them on at TJ Maxx. I work on the Westside and reside in East Valley so getting back to the store just to check was going to be a hassle - but glasses are expensive. And, if I am shopping at TJ Maxx - you better believe I am on a budget. I called over to the store and asked if they may have found a pair of glasses - small, kids size, etc... I left my name and number - hoping to receive word back - but, ultimately thinking they are gone forever. Would you believe they were FOUND and one of the employees even contacted me letting me know she would hold them at the front for me?! I was thrilled. So surprised and happy wrapped together. Ouch, ouch and more ouch at the other two reviews, but I have to say, I came for cheap kitchen stuff and I left with great kitchen stuff! Their aprons were adorable and look exactly like the $40 ones at Anthropologie, and they were a mere $12.99. Can't beat that with a drumstick. As far as the clothes, umm, no, not so much. The shoes were a bit of a miss as well, but the lotions and stuff held some good bargains and the people working here seemed nice enough.
