This place has lost my business. I came in today with my wife, looking for some pants for her. We found some great options, and came to the fitting room for her to try them on. The lady originally working the fitting rooms told my wife and me I could go back to help her, since she's newly pregnant and looking for some pants to accommodate her as she continues through the process. She had many options to try on, so I went in and waited as she tried on each. So far so good. A few more people came in to the fitting room area, found some rooms for themselves, and all was well. After a few minutes, it seemed like the shift for who was working the fitting room had changed, and another lady came in to the area I was waiting. I had made no noise or issues, but the woman told me that I absolutely must leave the area, and that "There are many women changing in here, so you must leave immediately. Sir, you CANNOT STAY HERE." She got progressively louder and more aggressive. I told her I was here to support my pregnant wife, and was trying to not make her walk back and forth 50 feet each direction each time she tried something on, and she told me she didn't care and that I must leave. I cannot say when the last time was that I was accosted so heavily, and for no apparent reason. I was made to feel like a pervert/creep by this woman, despite having done nothing, and having been told by the previous employee that it was fine that I was there. Far be it from me to criticize someone working in customer service/retail, but I've had some of those same jobs, and I could have handled that situation in 15 better ways than she did. It made me feel terrible for even being there to help my wife, and for spending money in the store. I won't be making that mistake again. read more

Any Ross is going to be a hit or miss. Sometimes you come here and find a treasure. Other times you'll strike out big time. And you will always have to check everything at this location because I find items constantly put in the wrong size or area as a whole. They really make you work for your savings. However, beyond clothes, I find this Ross to be a great place to check out for things like toys & appliances. I like to come here around the holidays for gifts for my kids/relatives that won't break the bank. It's especially great for White Elephant gifts. I also appreciate that the parking structure behind the store has a large area just for Ross customers. It means you're not going to have to worry about hunting for a spot around the area. I've never had a hard time finding a spot for a quick stop here. read more

First, a rant. I am grateful for stores like Ross Dress for Less. It's a popular store because of great prices. I've witnessed shoppers tear through the merchandise, looking at sizes or whatever and then tossing it back down with no respect for those who have folded or now need to organize the mess left behind. I lament that shoppers don't have more courtesy, it's certainly not the employees who turn their stores into chaos. But I digress... I've been to this location many times, and it's hit and miss. Here's the thing though... sadly, I'm an odd shape. Very tall and thin. I needed new pants and I set aside several hours to visit all the stores in this area to see what my options were. I'm not saying it's always like this, but on a holiday weekday this is what I experienced: Burlington Coat Factory - nothing Macy's - nothing Macy's Backstage - nothing H&M - nothing GAP Outlet - nothing Ross Dress For Less - several options It's possible Ross had so many choices because I am an odd/uncommon size. I'm looking forward to visiting some other Ross locations to test this theory. All in all, I'm happy to wade through some (shopper created) chaos to find a deal. Information only: The bottom registers are not being operated, you have to go upstairs (no signs to advise the customers before the elderly walk a long way). . The customer restroom has feces on the toilet seat (a quick clean with Fabuloso would be great). Security guards think they work at a Casino, their radio verbiage: "That guy looks suspicious, oh never mind he put it back." (Radio Gossip). No drinks are allowed, even if you're diabetic, have a medical condition or elderly you can't have water to take your pills. No signs in the rear entry door to support this matter either? "Relax ROSS store of Burbank." You're not located in Hollywood, it's Burbank. All the other stores have cleaner restrooms, can drink etc... Keep in mind ROSS of Burbank. Most of your customers are tourist and enjoy the visit to Southern California. Most of the tourist get a drink before entering your store and walk in with joy to your store, just to not be allowed with a drink? And the restroom looking like most of the burbank ROSS employees home restroom, is crazy. I witnessed the above incident(s) occur to tourists, while waiting for friends. I felt bad as a local. This Ross is one of the worsts I've seen. It's a mess and the lights are broken. They do not allow any liquid drinks even though this a populated walking area with a mall...everyone is hanging out snacking and sipping on a drink. Nope. Not this one. This one is old, in fact older than me I think... so it's set up weird with the 2 floors. But this location never even has anything good to begin with. It's that classic "messy" Ross, where half the stuff is just scattered all over the shelves or on the floor. What's super weird too is I notice the clothes I get from here are somehow worse than other locations. Ross always has weird quality which is how it got there, but this store offers particularly bad quality. So then of course in typical Ross fashion, the only ever have 1-2 registered opened, the line is long and it's blocking areas with merchandise. The downstairs register is never open and they have their rent a cop phony balony loss prevention standing there watching everyone instead. I think this store could greatly benefit from a location change, but of course that's easier said than done. read more

Security girl told elderly customer "I don't know what to tell you" when she asked how she was supposed to go upstairs since stairs were difficult for her... I walk in holding my just picked up Starbucks from across the street. There is absolutely no signage stating no drinks.. the security guard informs me that drinks are not allowed fine no problem. Where can I leave my drink? He says you have to go outside and finish it before you're allowed in the store. I ask again there's nowhere that I can leave it while I shop. It is a new drink. He says no... It doesn't take a genius to be like outside on the curb or figure out any other option that you aren't allowed in the store. So I left. It's a sometimes I think better not for me... Everytime I come in there's either disorder or mild chaos. The Ross of Burbank is definitely something to write about... Unfortunately it's usually not a positive... I don't know who gave up on this location, but please send help again... I've never seen clothing hung between the shoe sections as if the new hot item at any location other than this one nor a total lack of upkeep with towels and rugs on the floor. The end caps are usually not too bad and most of the employees are friendly enough as far as positives. The descend into the eerie uncertainy of that lower level is just a bit dangerous. I've seen people smack into each other coming down and or up and nearly slip on the floors here in this area... A nice spot mop can work wonders. With the exception of home goods and seasonal decor everything is pretty scarce as far as inventory and stock. I did manage to find so.e candles as a gift to some close friends. RDFL in the Burbank has a shared lot with neighboring businesses that gets the parking job done and usually a pretty efficient check out depending on the time of day you stop in. read more

The second largest Ross location I've ever been to, besides the one in Las Vegas strip, this one has a parking structure with an attendant watching you after 2 hours, you might get towed. The store has 2 levels, with stairs or elevator access, they have plenty of items to shop, fitting rooms divided into two, men is downstairs and women is on upper floor. No self checkout and only 2 registers opening took a while to accommodate large crowd of customers. I spent almost 15 minutes staying in line read more

Went to ROSS today to buy a spoon rest and find something else. They don't have stock of what I'm looking for. Anyway, I bought this glass food container and it's on sale...good price. Went to cashier to pay and this cashier name LENI was a very nice and friendly associate. She's very fast too to accommodate the long line of customers. She's a great cashier and knows how to make her customers happy shopping at Ross. Highly recommend this place to All my Families and Friends. Yesterday late in the evening More precisely, November 2nd 2024 I went to this Ross store for the first time to return items with factory damage, of course with a receipt, the woman at the reception was friendly, but she was forbidden, as it turned out minutes later by the store manager to accept back the damaged goods herself, even with a receipt! As a result, the lady from reception turned to the manager, that was an unfriendly and arrogant woman, so, It just she immediately forbade this woman to accept the goods with factory defects and motivated this by the fact that I should return this goods to the same Ross where I bought it! The product did not exceed $12 dollars!! Then I went up to the store manager and asked where this order was that damaged goods should only be accepted in the store where the item was purchased?! To which she answered me with a blatant lie , that this was allegedly written on the back of the check!! Then she told me that they have a lot of theft and that is why they stopped accepting goods purchased in other Rosas, like I could turn out to be a thief or something.. Such nonsense!! Customer service is horrible . The store is a disaster. You can't even bring your drink inside , but there is no signs that says no drinks . They make up their own rules . Also I was there 10 minutes before it was closing , and the employee announced over the intercom if you don't bring your items now for checkout, you won't be able to purchase your items . I got to checkout on time , but other people were dropping their stuff on the counter because they couldn't purchase their merchandise. That's not good customer service. This store is anxiety. Clothes and items scattered everywhere. Loss prevention guards following you through the store as if you are about to steal those Subaru socks. Employees talking to friends on speaker phone, homeless people laying on pillows in the home section. Open dried pasta all over the floor? I wanted to buy a pair of dress shoes for a wedding but I couldn't because ONE OF THE SHOES WAS MISSING! No one in the store could find the other shoe. I guess this is a kind gesture: but since the employees couldn't find the other shoe THEY OFFERED ME A DISCOUNT IF I JUST BOUGHT THE ONE SHOE. What am I supposed to do with one shoe? I would expect this type of disorganization from a Ross Dress for Less in Hollywood but Burbank? A nice suburb? The one saving grace this place has it next to the register they have a table full of last minute holiday gifts. I was able to pick up a LA Dodgers nose hair trimmer set with a nail clipper set for $8.99. Its a fun gag gift but the rest of the store is gross. read more

This is a photo of 36 people inline to make a purchase last night at approximately 8;20pm with only two cashiers and a door greeter. The three employees were polite, respectful and professional. I watched three customers leave the store because they were told to stand in the long line to get service in the jewelry section. Twenty minutes to look at a watch is crazy. The store prices are good but Ross makes you work for it. The cash register downstairs was closed and my guess is because of staffing. Low staffing is because of poor leadership. read more

My sister and I stopped by here this morning when I was meeting somebody in the area. She needed to buy small stuff for her game so we came to this Ross location. I parked near the movie theater parking structure so in the morning, there tons of parking spots. You would just have to walk to the store but it's not that far. There was someone in the front that will greet you and keep count on how many people are in the store. We basically stayed in the front area where the entrance was because the stuff my sister wanted was there. The place seems organize and not messy like other Ross locations I been to. When we got into the line to pay, there was only 1 cashier but by the time it was our turn a second cashier open up for me. I did not have any bad experience at this Ross location. This is a really, really old Ross. I think it has been there at least 15 years and it is in need of a serious makeover. Hopefully with a ton of shops closed in the Burbank mall they can move over there, but until then you can still find a lot of good deals here. I found that the people who work there are generally friendly and helpful and got some deals on various items. This past weekend I got two pairs of basketball shorts for my son under $10 each, a top for my wife that she liked, also under $10 and a cushion bed for my Boston...again under $10. I hate this place! They have crammed more stuff in the lower floor and now there's just no room to feel comfortable walking. Only one cart can for down the aisles.. And forget it if another person wants to walk down that same aisle! Disorganized, overly cluttered, long lines and just a nightmare to park. This makes me sad, nothing is the same anymore after the pandemic. This location is awful, they always only have 2 or 3 cashiers for the entire store, so expect long lines. Furthermore they have started checking receipts and your shopping bags as you exit the store after your purchase. So not only are you paying and waiting in long lines, but they treat you like a thief on the way out. I'm never going back. Ross is dead, won't be shocked if the whole chain goes bankrupt in a couple years. I feel so bad for their employees. I was then harassed in the parking lot by an attendant telling me it was only Ross parking. She asked got my receipt. I tired to explain to her that I was inside but didn't make a purchase but I was still shopping there. You don't have to make a purchase to be a customer. Horrible customer service ! Rude and insulting ! I will never go here again ! I wanted to pay for a rug and I have my brother pick it up , since they don't help take it to my car , but lady at register , rude lady at register, said she would ask the manager ! I know it's Ross. I know it's now the Holiday season. I get it and I get it all. But this has to be the absolute worst store I have ever been to. There were 2 young girls working at the registers. The store was moderately full with customers, and after I looked around for a good while I found some Christmas candy and I was ready to check out. Let me just add here: whether or not I am shopping at Macy's or Nordstroms or Target or anywhere else, if I am spending my HARD EARNED money it's my expectation I will be treated respect, even MINIMAL common courtesy. Call me old-fashioned, whatever. These are my expectations when I am going in to YOUR business to spend MY money. I expected to wait. But, what made the wait unbearable was to see the girl with glasses, talking to her BFF in a white shirt and blue pants (who was NOT a customer) while she was ringing up the customers in front of her. I hate mess. A messy place always turn me off. Whenever I enter a house or a store and I see mess, I won't come in if I have a choice. But I'm making an exception to this store. I have come so many times in this store. In fact, I have gotten used to the mess. I know already where things are. The reason? Fashion deals! I have purchased so many clothes here at bargain floor prices. Just a warning though, be ready to dig deep for that treasure. Clothes in racks are all mixed up. Sizes are not in the right places. Even regular or sale items are not sorted properly. And how many times did I give up on something I want because the long lines? Too many times because there's always only one cashier in the check outs. There's literally more loss prevention officers than cashiers and/or salesclerks combined.
