This is undeniably a fantastic burger, probably one of the best I've had in Michigan so far. The quality and consistency are great, though I honestly think the meat would shine even more as a traditional 1/4 or 1/2 pound patty rather than a smash burger. A thicker cut would really let you taste the high-quality flavor of the beef. If you're going to order, here are a few pro tips: Get the sauce on the side: It's an excellent sauce, but you are much better off dipping. Otherwise, the burger will totally get drenched and lose the meat flavor profile. The bacon situation: They smash little bits of bacon directly into the patty. You can barely taste it this way, and it would be significantly better just served as traditional strips on top. So I would prob get it without next time. The Tallow Fries: These have huge potential, but unfortunately, mine arrived pretty soggy via delivery. I should have thrown them in the air fryer to crisp them back up, as I know they would be amazing fresh out of the fryer dripping in tallow. And they would have worked much better as larger almost steak cut fries to let the tallow flavor shine more. However as i ate them, i would still choose cajun 5 guys fries well done over them. My order for a burger and fries came to almost $40 (including tip) through their delivery service. Is it worth that price point for a delivery order? Probably not. However, the core ingredients are so good that I definitely plan to visit the restaurant in person so I can experience the food fresh and at its best. read more

Deep sigh. Marrow please don't start messing with excellence. I'm leaving this a 4 star review because up until this point, I have LOVED Marrow. The smash burgers are fire. I've gotten my Thanksgiving turkey from here. They often have yummy soups (especially the chorizo chowder). All of the being said, I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED today. My bf and I typically get one burger and one turkey sandwich and exchange halves. Today the turkey was awful and I threw it away uneaten. You changed everything that made it delicious. Today it was on the hard ciabatta roll. The turkey was just slices slapped on the bread when it used to be kind of shredded. There was no spicy giardenera.. The brie was just some sort of melted brie slices when before it was a brie fondue sauce. I wanted to cry. This is the quickest way to lose customers.. changing what's tried and true read more

The fries!!!! Fried in tallow so good! The burger is a treat yo self . Very greasy there is pork in it I believe and personally don't mind the grease! Service was good and the ambiance was just chill. I did get a bourbon sparkling pear tea I have yet to open but will with some Jamaican food. read more

Pretty exciting to see Marrow in the burbs! Though not in its full glory, it's still titillating to see them slang their infamous smash burgers and plenty of intriguing creations in their more casual vibe new digs. Gotta, gotta, gotta have their double smash burger, no questions asked. Fantastically melt in your mouth, though the seasoned griddles over at the OG Marrow in the West Village definitely leave a tastier imprint on their delectable custom blend of beef. You don't need heavy toppings when the meat speaks for itself. The fries seasoned and fried in tallow were crispy, rich, and full of flavor you don't get at most spots. Absolutely loved their food. You can instantly tell they use high-quality ingredients. They even sell chips, marshmallows, nuts, and other unexpectedly clean, flavorful snacks. Ordered the breakfast sandwich and it is worth the hype!! The sandwich is $10 and is $4 to add sausage. Not totally clear from the picture but it was a gigantic piece of sausage. I would not think to include pimento cheese on a breakfast sandwich but it's a perfect match. Tried the Birmingham location of Marrow recently for lunch. We found the experience welcoming and pleasant. First, the service. We ordered at the counter, and our food was delivered promptly to our table. The establishment has done.a very nice job of creating a bright and pleasant ambiance in a smallish space. The manager, Ricki, spent some time at our table, which was quite pleasant. She was very knowledgeable about the vision of the management team, both for the Birmingham location and the overall enterprise. I got a Reuben, which was very enjoyable . The co-diner got the non-meat special: a tuna sandwich on a specialty bagel, dusted on the exterior with seaweed, from Detroit's House of Bagels. He enjoyed the tuna filling, but would have preferred a more standard bagel (I.e., without the seaweed). We were told that the place always tries to include one non-meat item in the day's options, so kudos for that. The co-diner enjoyed his sandwich (except for the seaweed), and I was pleased with my Reuben. It was a very generous portion, enough to provide a meal for the next day. Another employee, whom we had encountered earlier the same day at the Birmingham Farmer's Market, recognized us and greeted us warmly. In sum, while the prices are a bit on the high side, Marrow Birmingham delivers on quality of food, efficiency of service, and a warm, personable environment. read more

We ordered food here on Mother's Day after we forgot most restaurants were busy. This was a very happy surprise. We ordered the smash burger with fries and the hot honey steak sandwich. Everything was delicious and fresh. The steak sandwich was great but I can do with less of the giardinera. The burger was perfect and the fries were seasoned well. We took our meal to go and ate at the park but there is sparse seating inside. We are excited to return to try more! read more

I am a big fan and regular patron of the Marrow location on Kercheval and was extremely excited to see them open the Birmingham location. Excited to have another pasture raised butcher shop in the area. Had the Smoked Ham sandwich that had a great mix of flavors. The Smashed Burger was also very tasty.
