Absolutely love Marmo. Went here with my girlfriend and we sat at the bar and had a lovely time. We got there a bit early in the evening and it wasn't too packed and we ended up talking to the bartender who was really nice. She made us some great cocktails and then we ended up sharing a few small plates as it was happy hour. We loved everything, especially the meatballs! We even got a little dessert (tiramisu I think?) and it was outstanding! All the plating was really clean and nice, and the restaurant atmosphere was great. It was decorated really well and the ambiance was elevated with a pianist playing towards the front of the restaurant. This was my second time visiting Marmo as a guest. Let me just say it was one of the most wonderful dining experiences I've ever had. From beginning to end it was such a special night. Very cute place! I went for happy hour with two of my close friends and we sat at the bar, so no waiting. I ordered a tequila and pineapple, a glass of Prosecco, and then a tequila lemon drop. All great choices with a great mixologist! For food I ordered the chicken, raw oysters, and the rigatoni. I love a good small plate! It gives me a chance to try multiple things and not feel bad about it. The oysters were HUGE though so if you aren't into larger oysters, I'd say pass because they were harder to swallow. The chicken was crisp and fresh and the rigatoni was so good! The star of the show were their Brussel Sprouts! I could've honestly ate just that and been fine because they were absolutely perfect!! Went in with my parents for a Sunday brunch. The service here is great and the servers are very attentive. Our waitress (Heather) was very knowledgeable about the menu, and was very helpful with our questions. The setting is also very peaceful and light. The food was alright to me. The Tuscan Fried Chicken was nicely fried and tender the inside, but there wasn't much of a flavor profile. It tasted very bland. The Fluke Rib was also cooked perfectly, very tender. Once again, it lacked a flavor profile. It tasted of just lemon aioli and that was it. The lobster in the ravioli was actually very delicious. It tasted sweet and had great texture and paired well with the sauce. The ravioli itself was alright and was once again lacking in flavor. It tasted very one note to me. The squid ink campanelle, however, was absolutely delicious. The breadcrumbs added a nice texture to perfectly al dente pasta, and the flavor of this dish was phenomenal. I love Marmo! It's a great date night spot with family or friends. They allow half orders of pasta so you can try and share more items, now that's a win. I really enjoyed their endive salad and calamari appetizers. The squid ink crab and uni pasta is so bomb I always order it. The bolognese is comforting like a big warm hug. The service is good even on a busy evening I feel like someone was around to help or get your waiters attention. I felt like I was due for a delicious Italian meal! This was it! Everything tastes fresh and was so so goooood! I went with a few girls for lunch, so I was able to taste some of the different appetizers they have. I ordered the blue crab bruschetta, which comes in four pieces, and depending on how hungry you are, it could be shared with two or three other people, which is how we did. They were definitely not stingy with the blue crab either. The toast was crispy and came with some micro greens and avocado smear. The other antipasto I tried was the Polpette- the Italian meatballs. There was like three or four huge meatballs with a couple of small pieces of toast with ricotta on top. It was a great combination for my palate. The Tuscan fried chicken were pretty good as well. They're very crispy and lightly bartered. I think the most impressive appetizer was the asparagus soup. I never had that kind of soup before. It was super creamy and delicious. I think this is what I would order the next time I come. Now for my main meal, I had the famous squid ink Campanelle pasta. When I say wow, I mean wow. This is my first time trying squid ink, and don't let the black color throw you off, because this was amazing! The pasta was perfectly made. It does have a little spice to it, so if you cannot do spice, then you might have to tell them to take out the chili, if they can. I am all about texture when it comes to food. And the tender pasta mixed with the crunch of the breadcrumbs and the soft crab meat, was the absolute best. I would highly recommend trying this. Since I've already wrote quite a bit just on their food, I won't go into too much detail about their decor. I will say that it is a bright and cheery indoor space. They had a pianist playing for us that Saturday, which was really nice. The place is very clean, and the wait staff was super nice and helpful. I highly recommend trying this place out. Took my friend here for restaurant week and we had the popettte and the fried chicken for apps and then the bolognese and chicken parm for mains. The appetizers were pretty great but then we had the pasta and for some reason both the bolognese and the chicken Parmesan were sooooooo salty. It was unfortunate because the taste was there it just was so salty that we couldn't even finish it. I've been here before and everything is usually great. Just a little disappointed today. The ambience inside was very classy; as soon as you enter there is live musician playing beautiful tunes with the piano. However, the flavors were a bit too different that what I am use to for these dishes and I'm pretty sure the lobster ravioli gave me food poisoning or it was the oysters. I ate at Marmo on Saturday afternoon 12/16 i had the spaghetti and meatballs. Not 3 hours later i had terrible vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and fever that lasted for about 24 hours. Food poisoning. Someone in Marmo's kitchen is not washing their hands. I will never return to this restaurant. For how expensive it is you would think they would take care of basic hygiene. We had the Hamachi that's was good we also had the Italian MeatballsCaesar Salad and those were ok. Our main dishes were really salty we had the Lobster RavioliVeal Bolognese which I wasn't a fan of. If this were based on appearance alone, Marmo would warrant at least a 5/5, if not more. One of the nicer looking places to open up in recent memory, with a nice mix of comfy and upscale throughout. All of the marble in the bar area really stood out in particular. The service at the bar was pretty good and mostly quick throughout as well. No real issues there, besides waiting a bit at the end to get the check. The food was pretty good for the most part, with some slight hiccups along the way. Their Hamachi dish was arguably our favorite of the night. I'd typically expect a hamachi dish like this to have a spicy pepper/jalapeño slice on top, but the more tame one given was actually ideal as it allowed the flavors of the ponzu and avocado to really stand out. The Polpette was very good, but came out closer to room temperature than piping hot. I'd definitely order it again, but would hope it's a little more fresh in that regard. The Smoked Potato Gnocchi was exactly as described in a good way, especially as each bite of the dish was smokier than the last. The portion sizes of the main dishes were both pretty generous and I'd definitely recommend the half portion for anyone looking for their own dish. The overall taste of the Lobster Ravioli was fine, with the dish coming together more like a ravioli that was cooked in a lobster bisque. The amount of lobster was pretty generous as well, but the real downfall to the dish were the small pieces of shell that were in it. When we asked the team about it, they told us some pieces are left in for the sake of a crunchy element. Didn't really make any sense to us at the time and it definitely took away from the dish rather than add to it. read more

I had a really good time at Marmo thanks to the attentive staff and a few absolutely astounding dishes... but there's definitely a little room to take them from good to greatness. Let's start with the good - the venue is gorgeous. The decor and design give off a vibe that straddles the line of casual and fine dining. The service is excellent. The staff is obviously well taught. Our server, Rey (or Ray), knew the menu front to back and had recommendations ready to go. Our glasses were never empty, and we even had several managers visit our table. Top notch! Now for the not so great... the acoustics are awful. For a place that seconds as a piano bar, I'm shocked that the design wasn't made to better absorb sound. While I loved the music, I found myself yelling at my husband and struggling to hear others speaking to me. As for the food, there were several huge hits at our table... but definitely more average dishes than not. Here's a detailed rundown of what we ordered: -Polpette meatballs appetizer: (4/5) Really delicious meatballs. Only wish they'd been served hotter. They were only slightly warm. -Caesar salad: (2/5) Standard Caesar salad. A little on the lemony side. Really pricey for a Caesar. -Burrata: (3/5) Decent burrata, though I've had creamier. The macerated strawberries felt a little cheap. -Halibut crudo (off the menu special): (1/5) Not sure this crudo fit the theme. The flavor altogether was just okay - nothing special. Wouldn't order again. -Smoked gnocchi: (4/5) The gnocchi was light and fluffy, and the boar ragu had a wonderful smokey kick. -Squid ink campanelle: (4/5) My favorite pasta dish of the night. A little spicy. Loved the lump crab meat and toasted bread crumb combo... but I couldn't taste the uni. Seems like an unnecessary addition to make the dish more costly. - Scarpinocc: (3/5) Imagine a half moon shaped ravioli stuffed with ricotta, but the pasta is colored green using peas. I wanted to love it but the dish fell flat. There wasn't enough flavor. The morel mushrooms and asparagus added great texture, but the taste was boring overall. -Cowboy ribeye: (5/5) I'm not sure I've ever had a ribeye so soft. My knife slid right through it! The aged meat was high quality, very beefy, and cooked to perfection. I don't recommend having it with the roasted garlic it's served with since it's very overpowering. -Fingering potatoes: (2/5) The potatoes were pretty dry and uninspired. Would opt for a different side next time. -CRESCENT DUCK: My God, can we just have a moment of silence to appreciate the Crescent Duck.......... This is the best duck I've ever had and easily my favorite dish in the last year. The fat was perfectly rendered and the duck melted in my mouth. The parsnip purée, sautéed morel mushrooms, and rich luxardo cherries made the whole dish a triumph. -Buttermilk panna cotta: (4/5) This dessert uses the same macerated strawberries as the burrata appetizer. The texture is spot on and the flavors mimicked that of a light strawberry cheesecake. I only wish I had skipped the burrata, because the two dishes are so similar. Though I loved many of the dishes, I feel like there were just as many that let us down. And as costly as this place is, I'd expect most of the food to wow me. The cocktails are also some of the most expensive I've paid for ($17-21) , and none of them were really great... which was unfortunate since my Coke was also flat. I would likely return to try other dishes (and for that incredible duck dish), but my husband is not so convinced. But their staff is so on point, and I have confidence that they'll make adjustments after hearing customer feedback. read more

They have outdoor/indoor seating. My friend and I did indoors and the host seated us where the tables for two are next two each. One side booth and across the chair(s). I did not like how close we were to the other tables. You could hear the tables next to you talk and it was something that made my first experience not enjoyable. I get distracted easily sometimes so I couldn't focus on my own conversations. I'm pretty sure they have tables that aren't close to others for bigger parties. I honestly had no clue what to expect when visiting Marmo. But from the moment we sat down, we had nothing but a pleasant experience from the service and meal. The addition of mango to the Burrata Salad was a nice touch. And, I know $30 may seem like a lot, but for the Beef Tartare it was worth it. It was mentioned to me that Marmo is known for their Squid Ink Campanelle, which was good don't get me wrong. But I was really blown away by the Ricotta Gnocchi. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and combining it with the Confit Rabbit and Pomegranate Seeds made for one of the more delicious and unique pasta dishes I have had in a while. Finishing off the meal with the Lemon Cake was a great choice. Our server Valerie was fantastic, present when we needed her but not overbearing. I have seen this restaurant all over tik tok so I had to try it, I was not able to make a reservation same day but they got us in pretty quickly for a Sunday around 7pm. The area the restaurant is in Midtown and I love the building, the decor and the atmosphere. We sat outside and it felt really good. They give complimentary bread and fresh Parmesan cheese. My family and I tried multiple dishes from the menu and we loved each one; however the salmon does have the skin on both sides so be aware. My brother was not a fan of the chicken parmigiana but the highlighted that the gnocchi is a must try and I loved the meatball appetizer. Wow. That is how I will start this review. My husband and I are originally from Houston, and are in town visiting family. We got away for a kid free night, and our decision to go to Marmo did not disappoint. The ambience is gorgeous. Live piano near the bar area, and he was fantastic. We had no reservation, so we sat at the bar for our full service meal. The staff was fantastic. Our waiter/bartender was great, and knowledgeable about the menu and gave us great recommendations. We started with the Blue Crab Bruschetta. It was good. Not much more to say about it, though I would likely not get it again. Large lumps of crab meat, over avocado. Flavor was good, but just that, good. For the main meal, we got the Squid Ink Campanelle and the 18oz Cowboy Ribeye. The Squid Ink Campanelle was just outstanding. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the sauce was just the perfect compliment to the accompanying crab meat. The steak. The steak. The STEAK! Was by far the star of the show. Cooked to absolute perfection with a seared crust Gordon Ramsey wouldn't believe. We finished the meal off with the Buttermilk Panna Cotta. Such a delicate dessert, and not too sweet. This was our second time visiting. We weren't blown away the first time when they first opened but decided to give it another try last night. It is way Too loud (we had to shout to hear one another) and the food wasn't bad but wasn't amazing. We ordered the Caesar, pumpkin agnolotti, Brussels and tenderloin. Pasta lacked depth and the Caesar salad lacked flavor. The Brussels were undercooked and I expected more of a cacio Pepe flavor indicated on the menu. Marmo delivers some of the best proper Italian I've ever had in our out of Italy. The quality is definitely there and so is the service. Impeccable decor and just the right ambiance. I'm fortunate to live less than 200 ft away from their front door and call it "my kitchen" :) Pastas are served al-dente, the meat is undoubtably top quality and delivered at the proper temperature and the cocktails are at the top of their game. The only issue that I'd wish Marmo would address is the cost of the experience. Yes, of course, good food costs money and I'm rarely the one to complain about that, but at time it just seems a bit too much. Pasta shouldn't be this expensive. I'll start with the positives and end with the negatives. From the moment you walk in, it's refreshing to hear a live piano and not just the typical mix you receive walking into other Italian restaurants. Sets the tone for sure! The way the menu is set up makes it very easy to understand portioning, and it is a definitely a plus that they have half orders of pasta available since it can be filling. Allows you to try a few at a time! My favorite item was for sure the Beef Carpaccio! Melts in your mouth. Next, the Burrata. The restaurant just recently opened so I know they are working out the typical kinks (timing, presentation of menu, that sort of thing). But you could really tell the servers and support staff are giving it their best. I'll wait all day for hospitality like that. Negative- I only have one stomach. Be sure to make a reservation! Especially on weekends! The service here is always incredible. Everyone is really nice and they pay attention to detail. We had multiple servers and the manager checking in on us and it was great. The restaurant has gorgeous decor and you have the choice to eat inside or on the patio, both equally beautiful. The drinks were great as well. We've come twice before and have had a good experience both times. For Pasta, we recommend the squid ink pasta. And their tiramisu is the best I've ever had. read more

It had a nice ambience. I have worked for atlas restaurants in the past and know that they always take care of their guests, have a wonderful food, and give outstanding service. Overall, the food was really good the salad was a little small especially if the price point is so high due to the lobster. The asparagus were al dente and the hollandaise had sort of hardened. I would have given five stars so Lee based on food. However, the service was slow. I waited about three minutes to be seated when I had a reservation, because there was no one at the host stand at 1 PM prime lunch hours. Although they were not busy, service was rather slow. I was there for two hours and I had a one hour lunch break so it was a little frustrating always having to wait for the server to come by and check on us, drinks, or deliver the check. The server had an amazing demeanor and great service. He may have been spread a little too thin.
