(For context, I'm an automobile attorney, so I know exactly what to look for.) Shockingly, they flat-out refused to provide it. That's a massive red flag. Any legitimate shop operating in Massachusetts should have no problem showing proof they're properly registered. The refusal alone tells you everything you need to know. Proceed with extreme caution.

I have a handy friend that was going to help me remove the bumper etc until I realized because of the fender damage we wouldn't be able to do it. So I decided to fix the fender etc. Rolled into Malden and apparently they don't do hondas there, but he took a look at it and said to take it up to Stoneham. Super customer service from Jump. I went up to see Al in Stoneham and he gave me an estimate right on the spot. Again no insurance or anything out of pocket. No one wants to get body work done and it's expensive and takes time. Al told me to come in early the next week and that he'd also put in the headlight assemblies for me. 36 hours off the road and it was done, looked great, fairly priced as these things go and was never dicked around once. Great service and yes I'm took the time to recommend on yelp along with my burger and fries reviews.

The parts came quickly and i was able to get everything taken care of in just a few days. They offered after hours pick up, which was nice for my busy work schedule. Mac's is conveniently located not too far from Davis square too, so it's easy to get to/from wherever you need to go. They didn't try and up-sell me either, which was nice. The door sustained minor damage - basically crushed/buckled. It was barely noticeable but I knew it was there and wanted it repaired so I took it to a collision center where I had been going for years. To my surprise, they told me the door needed to be replaced. Obviously, this was an expensive repair and I planned to pay out of pocket so I had to think about it. On a whim, I stopped by Hynes Collision which had recently opened, and met Donna who was very accommodating and did an on-the-spot inspection. She assured me that the door could be repaired not replaced. She called me the next morning with an estimate and my car was in the shop the following week and repaired and looking perfect in a very timely fashion. Work was great - replaced the trunk of my car and removed all small dents and buffed/blended scratches from a branch falling on it. Took 6 weeks. Called several times a week for updates and didn't hear back until several attempts. Front desk ladies were otherwise very helpful and friendly. They cleaned the car well before returning it.

I took the car to Mike's Auto Body, since they were good to me when I went to them 10 years ago. Mike was very personable then. I dread going through the process of getting quotes etc. knowing that the price and time would be an inconvenience to my busy work schedule. I drove my car in, hoping they'd give me a quick estimate at best and an appointment for (an estimate) another time at worst. Eric came straight out, looked over what needed to be done (I also asked for some scratches to be buffed out) and gave me an estimate of time and price. The guys took my trim off whilst I waited, then I left to return a couple of weeks later to have the license plate and trim reattached, as well as scratches buffed out. Some of the scratches were pretty bad, but the staff warned me not to expect them to be perfectly removed, which was what I'd already suspected. For the price, they did a great job. Often times, I expect to be denigrated in one way or another (it's just my experience in life) when I seek service for my car, renovations to my house, etc... however, the staff at Mike's Auto Body have always been respectful toward me. Mike gave me the confidence to go back this time, so I assume the professional and respectful behaviour comes from the top down. I truly won't go anywhere else. The price, though excellent, was secondary to the professionalism and respect the staff show me.
