As an Elite Squad member, it is rare that I give a 5 star rating. The company has to hit several "over the wall" benchmarks to get this rating from me. The team at 1st Class Auto Body has hit the highest level of benchmarks and standards that anyone can ask. I've been their three times. Two with my new Tesla and previously with my SUV. I scuffed up my new Tesla getting use to the wider body frame and they went above and beyond to get the correct red color for the scratches, but, also lent me a loner car (a luxury sedan) free of charge while my car was tied up for three days. Since I was paying for this myself, they were more than fair on the price, in fact coming in below the estimate. They detailed my car before I arrived to pick it up. Looked showroom quality!!! The side of my Fiat 500e got hit, and before I knew who was determined to be at fault and how it was going to be paid, Bob and Jim took a look at it, popped out a folded door so that it wouldn't get more damaged, and gave me advice for inexpensive fixes to try first. I took it by a mechanic to see if we could get the inexpensive fix done (alignment), but the mechanic said that it was going to need a new strut and control arm, and likely wheel bearing. The other party's insurance adjuster came by and quoted the repairs without that originally. When it was determined that the other party's insurance would cover the damage, I only needed to give them the claim number and 1st class took care of the rest, including making sure that everything that needed to be replaced actually got fixed, including what the independent mechanic had mentioned. I got an insurance supplement a few days later with the adjusted number and then it was just waiting for parts. Throughout the whole process, I got updates via text message, and they finished a day earlier than they promised, complete with a car detail. When I got the car back, it drove perfectly, all the paint exactly matched and even looked better done than the factory job. I really couldn't ask for more out of a body shop, everything was easy and straightforward. read more

If you are working with your insurance company on a claim, these guys will get the job done. However, if you come to them looking for some auto body work that isnt attached to a claim, I suggest looking elsewhere. I brought my car in to get its exterior body reconditioned, and requested some feedback on a repair to a rear reclining seat on my SUV. The summary: the communication from the specialists I dealt with in the original consultation misled me to beleive I was getting more work done to the car than what was delivered. They charged me a lot of money to paint small surfaces on my car, install an undercarriage plastic shield and unnecessarily suggested I replace a the entire back reast of my SUV (around $350) instead of attempting to repair it. I ended up reparing the seat myself in 30 minutes time with a pair of pliers, a screwdriver and some lubricant. In the end, I was truly disappointed and will not return nor recommend. My expectations were not met and when I questioned the work they responded with an essential "oh well, that's what you get, go elsewhere if you dont like it". I am too a small business owner and I try to ensure my customers are happy if i promise to deliver a service. They were certainly not interested in seeing my business again - probably because they get plenty of business from insurance claims so I am simply a drop in the bucket. read more

Have dealt with Rawson Auto Body in the past, but this was my first experience with the "new" owners. Brought in my 8 year old red convertible for a few smaller repairs on the sides of the car. Because the car has not been garaged I was afraid the new paint would not blend in with the original. When I picked it up, I could not even tell where the repairs were made, and I am fussy. They even touched up the many paint chips on the hood, buffed out a couple of scratches on the back bumper and detailed the inside of the car. The detailing was not expected, so I was thrilled! I had a terrific experience here (or as good as spending a lot of money which you didn't plan on spending can get) based on my customer service experiences with Angelica and Bob Jr. and the end product. My car needed some body work done and came out looking better than the day I brought it home. Paint job is outstanding and they very thoroughly cleaned the inside and outside of my car to have it gleaming by the time I came to pick it up. The final price was also a bit less than the initial quote which is always a pleasant surprise (though, admittedly, they could have given me a high quote to ensure that they would come in under; I don't know). They also addressed smaller issues with the body of the car that they initially were going to leave out of the job because of cost. Lastly, although they didn't mention it to me, I'm pretty sure that they replaced a brake light that had gone out that I never referenced when speaking to them. I am always OK with a business that under-promises and over-delivers, which I think describes 1st Class very well. Having used Expert Auto Body through the years and needing work due to getting rear-ended, I returned recently to find a new management and a new establishment - 1st Class Auto Body. Unaware of the Expert - 1st Class transition, I was a bit hesitant, but after meeting and speaking with the new manager (Bob) I was very impressed. They were right on it - answered my questions before I asked them, and even set me up with a car rental for the duration of the repair. Their work was excellent - even went beyond the issue - ensuring that other surface areas of my vehicle paint-matched the new rear auto body sections. They made it easy for me - handling all interactions with my insurer, kept me informed with checkpoint calls, and delivered my car - like new outside and inside. The rental car was great and the end-to-end serv ice was fantastic. My expectations were far exceeded ! 1. Was not happy with all the cancelation dates (5) for pick-up 2. Why was my garage remote taken off the visor and I have to go back to get it 3. Why couldn't I find the silver part of the seat belts to put in the locks (both sides in the back). I had to have a person who works on cars, find how to unlock the back seats to get them. I brought my car in to get some minor repairs to the bumper after I was rear ended. Everyone who works here is extremely friendly and nice. You can tell they are just good people! I would have given them 5 stars, but I had one hiccup after getting my car back and noticing 2 spots that were lighter in color where the work had been done. However, when I brought it back to the shop they were very apologetic and offered to re-do the work and provide me with a rental car for free. My car looks great now!! They also wash and vacuum the cars they work on, which is a nice perk. Lastly, I have to say what really makes me back them is that they fixed something else on my car free of charge, while it was there for the re-do work. I had badly scrapped the bottom piece on the passenger side of my car. This was completely unrelated to the work I had done due to being rear-ended. I got an estimate for the work needed to fix this piece and decided I would hold off, as I have a lot of expenses right now. However, 1st Class actually went above and beyond to partially repair this piece (glued piece where it is supposed to be and made it look much much better - it is much less noticeable now), free of charge. When I do save up some money and can get this piece fully repaired, I have no hesitations bringing it back to 1st Class Auto Body. I had (gently) driven my black car into a white pillar in a parking garage. My front fender looked like it was scratched & filled in with white paint. I had tried to wash it off with a wet rag to no avail. I brought the car into 1st Class, thinking - okay, they'll probably have to repair the damage, then repaint - I'll spend up to $400 if I have to because I really like my car. The man I saw (sorry, I don't know his name) looked at the car and said, "Just a minute." He went into the garage, came out with a damp rag (which he later told me had some kind of special paint thinner on i), then he cleaned the paint right off -- no charge. I've had damage repaired in other places in the past: he could have told me anything, but he did the right thing by me, & now I swear by him. read more

Positive and easy experience here. Was able to bring my car by right away after calling, got a quote, and scheduled an appointment within 30 minutes. Additionally, work was done on the car within a few hours a couple days later. Car looked nice and was even cleaned up inside for pick up. All-in-all it was a pretty seamless experience, which is not what I can say about my experiences in the past have auto body work done. Recent April 2017 Collision with our low mileage 2000 Chevrolet Blazer. T.Bone damages to both the passenger side front and rear doors along with minor frame damage. 1st Class Auto Body was one of our insurance companies preferred vendors in our geographic location. Upon choosing this facility, the vehicle was dropped off at their auto body the same day. A timely appraisal was completed along with Bob showing me the damages to our car. Communication from Bob and Angelica in the front office were spot on. E-mails and questions were answered in a prompt / timely basis. Our insurance company appraised the Blazer as a repairable total loss, and Bob worked with us in executing a game plan for the repairs of the 17 year old truck.
