Took my old Volvo S60 to them for an interior detail. I was aware of some mold/mildew on the driver's sun visor but it was a small patch. They called suggesting a $120 up-sell for mold treatment which I declined. When I picked the car up the visor had not been cleaned, I presume so they could "show me the mold problem." When we got the car home I took some glass cleaner and a paper towel and the mold/mildew wipped right off. They should have just cleaned it as part of the interior detail. Did they do an ok job for the price on the interior? Yes. But they are to my mind essentially dishonest in their business practices. I won't be going back and skipped the appointment we had for a second car the next day. So yeah, an OK job but not honest about what was required. Maybe look elsewhere and get both more honesty and a better job. read more

Had my wife bring my Honda Pilot for detail. This vehicle was in the garage for 3 months after a deer accident that left it without a windshield. This place is probably the best detailer I've found in several years. The inside of my was super dirty as I have 2 dogs that shed and one of the had gotten sick in the backseat. We got both of our cars detailed this week. A few years ago we took in an older used prius we had bought. This thing came out looking like a brand new car. I am not using any hyperbole. It was a night and day transformation. We don't get our cars detail often. My wife and I were remarking today that our cars look beautiful. Unfortunately our previous experience with Marks made our expectations a bit too high, and they still came through again. I will admit a 3 year old car looking GREAT doesn't have the same wow factor as a 10 year old car looking like new (I am serious, new), but we are super happy with how the cars look. They really did exceed our expectations. Our cars look great. Their work looks awesome. We have a 3 year old and an 8 year old. And after Marks Auto Detail our cars looked spectacular. Comment: I only returned to the shop AFTER you called me and informed me that the vehicle was ready (when, in fact, it was not). Quote: "You returned to our shop and rushed us, and we really had no choice but to let you take the vehicle." Comment: See previous comment. I arrived at the shop as a result of you calling me and informing me that the vehicle was ready. Quote: "According to the terms and conditions of the detail you purchased, sap or pitch removal is not included." Comment: Neither is rug shampoo, but I asked for it, you charged me extra, and did the work. You agreed to do the pitch, but never mentioned extra charge. Quote: "You never said there was pitch on the roof" Comment: I specifically mentioned pitch on the roof and hood when I dropped off the car. Even if I had not, wouldn't it be routine for a DETAIL shop to check for that and mention that to the customer?? Quote: "I did take the time to call you with an offer, which you refused." Comment: You called me with an offer that works for YOU and not your CUSTOMER. I don't want another detail from your shop, I want my money back because you did not provide the service I paid for. I purchased 2 Groupons for Mark's Auto Detailing and afterwards had some concerns after reading some of the reviews on Yelp. I had to wait 2 months to actually get an appointment, and since that time even more bad reviews have come in. Great. My appointment was scheduled for today at 9am. I remember saying to the guy who booked it that it was a holiday weekend and he told me they'd be working on Saturday, but closed Sunday and Monday. I am not a morning person and as the reminder came up for my appointment, I started questioning my sanity for making a 9am appointment on a holiday weekend Saturday. Not only did I get up early, but my friends also got up early so they could follow me down to the shop so I didn't have to wait while the detail was being done. We made the 30 minute drive to the shop and arrived to find the neon "OPEN" sign on, but the door locked with a note that said they were closed for the weekend and would be back on Tuesday. I know I didn't get the date wrong, because other customers were also arriving for their scheduled appointments. We tried calling but after the phone rang about 10 times, we got a message that said their business voicemail was turned off. I've asked Groupon for a refund but even if they won't grant the refund, I still won't do business with this company. read more

Had my BMW 325i in for a full detail. When I arrived to pick it up the next morning, as they were still drying it off, I noticed that there was PAINT MISSING on the left rear quarter-panel the size of a tennis ball!!! The owner insisted it wasn't their doing!!! I know this for sure, it wasn't there before I took it in AND THERE WERE VISIBLE PAINT PEELINGS AROUND THE MISSING SPOT!!!! OBVIOUS THE BUFFING JOB REMOVED THE PAINT. I argued with the owner back and forth and my wife was there with me as well. How could he possibly deny this? The frekin' paint was peeling off!!!! Snagged a special price from an Amazon "daily deal" and took my Mazda RX8 in to Mark's. They did a superb job. The interior is indistinguishable from a new car. Time estimate was about an hour less than the actual finish time but to be fair I made it clear that I was in no hurry. All in all very good service and an excellent job. read more

I bought a "deal" as many other reviewers did on Amazon Local. Paid $75 I think... NOT WORTH IT. They then upcharged me for shampooing the carpets ($40+tax). Overall I was severely disappointed. It looked like someone had handwashed it but missed big areas. The interior also was not cleaned completely as I found dirt on the backs of my leather seats (where my two year old kicks her feet). When I dropped my car off, the counter guy also offered me the "deal" price I paid on Amazon/Groupon if I wanted to have my other vehicle done at a later date - sounded like a good deal to me so I scheduled for the following week for my truck. I thought I'd give them another shot because my hubby's truck needed it so badly, but actually cancelled the day of because 1) I didn't think it's worth the $, and 2) when I took the car in, originally quoted 3 hours - then got there and they told me it wouldn't be done until around 3 p.m. (I was leaving it at 8:15 a.m.!!!). No thanks. I'll take my business elsewhere. For $120 (which is easily what it cost with tax) this was just a VERY expensive car wash. I'd rather give Brown Bear my business and shampoo my own carpets. I've had my car detailed at Derek's in Issaquah and been very happy - I would recommend them over Mark's in a heartbeat. read more

I brought my car into Mark's before reading all these negative reviews and was SO nervous once I found them. My fears were unfounded. We just moved to Issaquah from Maryland and drove two hairy beasty dogs in our small SUV (along with a 9 year old child) all three thousand miles. To say the car was a wreck on the inside would be putting it mildly. I dropped it off at 9am and by 1:30 it was ready (slightly longer than anticipated, but I suspect the dog hair was thicker than expected too). I had the exterior of my 1999 F150 fully detailed. They did a fantastic job and stayed after hours to finish the job. I was satisfied and my 15 year old truck looks like it is new. All of the oxidation and fine scratches are removed. I myself am a fairly experienced detailer (amateur) and I highly doubt I would have been able to match the quality had I attempted to do it myself. The total price was about $185 and significantly cheaper than some of the other places around here. I will continue to do business with them. read more

I then licked my finger and proceeded to rub it off right in front of him. He quickly ran and got a towel and began to remove it. You would think he would finish, right? I thought so, so imagine my disgust when I got home and found that he STILL didn't remove it. I did, with a wet towel. I could go on an on about the crap we dealt with from Mark's, but the bottom line is the owner will lie to your face and they do not provide the services they sell. Decent interior shampoo (extra fee of course) but that's not nearly enough to make me go back. The guy working the office was nice too, but again, the owner will straight lie to your face and rob you behind your back. I am tempted to take him to court. Marks Auto took really great care of my car and for a very reasonable price compared to the other spots I had gotten quotes from. I had several scrapes on the exterior of my car and the interior had normal signs of wear and tear after 5 years. They were very honest about which ones they could fix (nearly all of them) and which they couldn't. The quoted me a reasonable price and there were zero surprises when I got the bill, nor did they try to sell me on anything extra or unnecessary. They also made the interior of my car look spotless, both of which helped the resale value immensely. Got a call three hours after dropping off my car that they couldn't get a hold of their tinting guy. They offered a free detailing on my brand new car (that I had owned only 2 weeks). Went to this place about 10 months ago to get my Mercury Cougar detailed as I was about to sell it. The owner was there......late. 30 minutes late. The detailing was HORRIBLE. I bought a Groupon for Mark's and used them to detail my Tahoe. I paid additional to get the carpet cleaned. When I went to pick it up they had locked the keys inside and I had to have run home to get the spare....needless to say I was annoyed. The detail job itself was short of great, the inside didn't seem all that clean and the wash job was maybe a little better than the carwash would do. The smell from whatever they used on the carpet made me queasy and they carpet didn't feel clean. Perhaps it was due to the Groupon but since I wasn't impressed and I felt like I could have done a better job myself I won't be back. read more

The detailing and friendly service was actually above average. It's the smell of mildew afterwards that TOTALLY bums me out. First my wife's car (fool me once) and then mine (fool me twice). Neither of us recall being told to leave the car running with heat on high to cook dry the wet carpets and upholstery so maybe we're to blame...CAUTION: ensure you have clear guidance on this or you'll be stuck like we are having gone in to get a "new car" feel and now we have the lovely smell of dirty diapers before the morning commute?? To their credit they invited me back for a re-shampoo no questions asked...this time I left my car running with heat on high for 3 hours!! Woke up next morning, stuck head inside....gag me! Still stinks. So bummed!! I'm sure they'll try again if I ask but dang...not sure I wanna risk it. I had to bring my Dodge Stratus in for detail as I am no longer physically able, to detail it myself so tried Marks. They had previously taken tree sap off my hood and left one spot where the chemical they use left a dull spot in the paint. But decided to have them detail my car hoping they wouid do a good job, like I would have. There were many things that were not done in the detail. The front carpets were still dirty, wax was left on the window molding on the outside, the front windshield was streaked on the inside, the tops of the windows weren't cleaned, the trunk carpet was not vacuumed clean, the hood trim wasn't shined...I may be too picky but for an inside and outside detail it was $260 with tax. I think I'll try a different place next time. read more
